Justin & Emily are two that will keep you on your toes. In a world of division they enjoy the hard conversations but in a tone of discussion rather than force. These two will walk through a multitude of topics, experiences and questions.
Have you ever felt like you're fighting for a seat at a crowded table that is full of your own and others expectations of you?
In all honesty, that phrase was almost 100% stolen from Joanna Gaines most recent book, "The Stories We Tell". But as Justin and myself had recorded this podcast and I then I went on to read a chapter from Mrs. Gaines book, I couldn't help but mesh the two.
Joanna talks about her ongoing struggles with managing expectations of herself and from all those that stand around her. Isn't this the situation that most of us find ourselves in?
The chapter titled "Healthy Things Grow", fit almost like a glove with the topic that I and Justin had discussed only hours earlier. Items such as where expectations start, how much power they hold, how much power we give them, and how we're allowing expectations to control how we walk through our day-to-day are all discussed in today's episode.
If you're feeling this way or have additional insight into how you're best managing your own and the world's expectations, make sure to leave us a comment or reach out to either me or Justin personally!

Who doesn't deal with a certain amount of fear in their lives? The obvious answer is everyone. This then leads us to the second question of how much power do you give fear? Is it holding you back from your potential? From better relationships? From success? From freedom? Likely the answer to this is yes. So how do we deal with it?
Justin and Emily discuss a few of their fears, how they're seeing it affect their lives, and trying to define the exact moment, if any, that fear took hold.
Have you experienced a first impression that just didn't do someone justice? Justin & Emily will tell you firsthand that they didn't click the second they met. However, through time and random discussions, these two found that it's not all about the first shaking of hands that defines a friendship. Tag along as Justin & Emily walk you through how they decided to start a podcast and a little bit about what to expect going forward!
