Out of her work emerged a desire to study some of the most foundational and pivotal relationships that hardly get anytime in the spotlight: our friendships. All my life I’ve lived between differing worldviews, cultural norms, geographical environments, genres and class systems on a road of experience and thought less traveled. For a long time, it felt this road was only traveled by me.
Then I bumped into some others who have traveled the same road from another vantage point. Some were social workers, some counselors, some medical professionals, athletes and more. Though our feets share the same ground, our diverse experiences on this ground bred differing perspectives that I believe have the ability to embellish upon and strengthen one another.
