They support seniors and especially those with living issues. She is street smart from travelling to over 35 countries. They are willing to share their model with groups wanting to establish and grow similar organizations in provinces and territories in Canada.

Luke Anderson operates from a power wheelchair and with a team of volunteers they build and distribute ramps to make places accessible in several communities. Each ramp has the web site address, stopgap.ca on it.
Abilities Expo takes place in 7 large communities in the U.S. There was one in Toronto, Canada, that was discontinued. David Korse, President and an associate run the expos with a local organizer. Shiri Ullrich was born in Israel, served in the army, educated there and in the United States. She was a speech therapist and then founded Rising Above Bakery in her house. While she had cancer and chemotherapy she has grown the bakery with volunteers and participants with learning disabilities. The bakery currently operates in a community college in Nyach, New York.

Walter Dann from Halifax Nova Scotia was diagnosed with polio at an early age. In spite of this he worked for the same company for 50 years. He became very active in sports as an athlete and coach, especially in basketball and athletics. He became part of provincial and national teams, participated in 2 Paralympics, 2 Parapan Games and a World Cup. He was also elected to the Nova Scotia Hall of Fame.
