Yesterday I made a post “Don't Panic. If you're trying & putting in the effort, then you're doing just fine.”
So a dear friend of mine asked me, how can you continue even without seeing results?
This bothered me, and I did a lot of explaining to him, and by God's Grace he understood and I believe had a mind shift, even if it was for a moment.
Often, we view things from the wrong lenses... The Lense of Result over Experience or Process ❌
This is wrong because it causes us to focus too much on the result, which produces impatience if it delays and we lose the blessedness of the Process which produces the Result.
What we fail to understand is that, if the process is RIGHT, results will FOLLOW. It doesn't matter how long it will take, Results will surely Follow... The Bible speaking says
"These are the signs or Results that will FOLLOW"... Results They all follow if the process is right.
Results take time... And to everything on earth, there is a gestation period also called "The Time of Life"
In the fullness of time, Results will come, but if we abort before the fullness of the gestation period, we end in misery and regret.
Remember Result is always an end product.
It's OK to start without knowing exactly where you are going, but it's imperative you know what you're looking for.
The Bible tells us that God called Abraham from his father's house, promising to take him to a city flowing with milk and honey and also make him a great nation. Genesis 12:1-9, Hebrew 11:8
Abraham promptly left his father's house not knowing where he was going but knowing for sure what he was looking for.
The Bible later recorded that Abraham never built houses but lived in a tent, because even when God took him to Canaan, (which is of course the physical location God has promised), he knew that, that wasn't what he was looking for, rather he was looking for a city not made by hands, a city whose designer and builder is the God of the Ages, a home in the heavens. Hebrew 11:9-10
And according to the Bible, he found that city...
So Jesus talked about that city, and he called it "Abraham's Bossom", he gained access to it through a system he (Abraham) discovered called Righteousness by Faith. Luke 16:22
Today, we are beneficiaries of Abrahams's blessing because a man knew exactly what he was looking for.
So while you may not know where you are going, it is important you know exactly what you are looking for, and believe God to take you there.
So if you're looking for a job, admission, financial breakthrough, stability or freedom, a wife, a husband, etc, know exactly what you are looking for, and GET GOING, solely depending on God to lead you to where you are going to and what you're looking for.
