Impressive game, highly intense and appealing to watch.
It ended as a win for Manchester City, all thanks to the nice ball from Kevin De Bruyne. That notwithstanding, Chelsea also deserve some credits for keeping the scoreline respectful.
Or not?

There are a lot of top fixtures this weekend over the top leagues in Europe in addition to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) which is still as juicy as ever.
The game between Manchester City and Chelsea Football club is one to watch for anyone that enjoys English football while the game between Nigeria and Sudan is another fixture which promises to produce a lot of talking points.
I'm going for both. Haha.

Do you still remember how everyone has been talking about the goal drought we are experiencing in AFCON 2022?
All the games that have been won since the beginning of this year's African Cup of Nations were won with a goal margin. All, until yesterday's game between Cameroon and Ethiopia.
It started off with an early goal from Ethiopia, but they couldn't hold up their backline for too long. The goal was quickly equalized followed by more goals from Cameroon.
Interesting, isn't it?
In England, Liverpool failed to get a goal against Arsenal despite being handicapped to play with only 10 men against Liverpool.

Yet again, the low quality of our match officials is bringing a bad name to African Football.
In the game that was played yesterday between Tunisia and Mali, we saw a lot of poor officiating which made the whole football world belittle the readiness of Africans to host a competition that is free from controversy.
All these are due to the poor officiating that was seen in the game between Tunisia and Mali.

We are yet to see it all in this year's edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), but we are pretty much impressed with what we are seeing in each game.
Every game has proved to be different from the other.
Yesterday, we saw an upset in the game between Algeria and Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone, the underdogs, were able to drag Algeria to a goalless draw. That in itself is a win for Sierra Leone and also a morale booster for their national team because nobody gave them a chance of getting a point from this fixture.
In another cracker, we saw a thrilling performance in the game between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Pharaohs of Egypt. Nigeria did everything right while Egypt could not make anything out of the fixture.

Today is the D-day for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to play their opening match in the African Cup of Nations and this game has been getting a lot of hype and expectations. Itβs a game against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Interesting, isnβt it?.
Both Nigeria and Egypt have won AFCON 3 and 7 times respectively. They are also recognized as giants in African football so todayβs game is going to be a game of national pride for both sides.
I like to see Mo. Salah and his compatriots going far in this tournament, but I'm rooting my Nigeria on this one.
Let's go for the maximum points. Heheh.

The African Cup of nation has finally begun and each game is giving us a lot of talking points and entertaining moments.
Cameroon,
Burkina Faso,
Ethiopia and
Cape Verde
are the four countries in Group A and they played their first game of the tournament yesterday.
The opening Ceremony was filled with a riot of Colours as many people were in attendance to watch the fixture between Cameroon and Burkina Faso. In the next few days, we expect to see more riot of Colours, loud African music from different part of the country and cracking game plays.
VAR is also making a case for itself. 3 penalties have already been given out of 4 games played. More entertaining moments awaits.

Knock, Knock Knock!
Yeah... I'm back again!
I thought it wise to take a break from vlogging over the last 3 weeks because of the festive period which came with its fun and stress. It would have been a bizarre experience to force myself into vlogging during that period. The background noise would have ruined the whole work.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the Christmas celebration, New year celebration and all other occasions that came in-between, but it's time to get back to work.

Yeah, I'm a football fan and it takes a lot of effort to create content. I would be more relaxed to talk about football at the moment so, I will start with it. Other contents can come in momentarily, but no promises.

Cameroon will be the host for AFCON 2022, and the tournament is scheduled to kickoff on 9th January.
There are some lapses to this. The latest variant of Pandemic is already posing a threat, but CAF are insisting that the tournament will go on as planned.
African players all over the world are expected to join their National team prior to the beginning of the tournament.

Everyday is turning to a nightmare all over the world because the new phase of Covid19 is hitting us hard.
The footballing world is no exception to it. Tottenham have cancelled 3 games in a row. Manchester United postponed the game they were supposed to play yesterday and I'm scared that we will get back to the unconventional method of playing this beautiful game behind closed doors without fans on ground.
It's scary. This is an emotional moment for me.
I only hope to wake up tomorrow and see that all these are over. No covid19 whatsoever.

You must have heard that "the country is not safe anymore".
In case you are still taking that statement for granted, I suggest you rethink and start taking it as serious as supposed.
Crime is eating deep into the country and there is literally no assurance of safety.
People get whacked even when they are at the comfort of their home and we count it as "one man down". Kidnapping, robbery, rape and whatnot is already an everyday news.
Talking about Kidnapping, my Uncle was kidnapped last weekend.

In the round of 16 drawing for UEFA Champions League which was done yesterday, we saw a lot of drama and controversy which resulted to a redraw after the first drawing was made.
UEFA decided to come clean by posting an update on their Twitter handle but it was not taken lightly by fans and other footballing nation because it appeared to look more like an excuse than a genuine reason.
Nonetheless, all the teams that made it to round of 16 already know whom they will be playing in February 2022. Of course, I'm paying special attention to Liverpool Fc and I'm glad that we got a fair opponent for the next round of the tournament.

European Champions League has already proved itself to be one of the most intense football tournament in the whole world.
Will love the thrill and this is why we can never get enough of Tuesday and Wednesday nights whenever there are UCL fixtures.
