Recorded in our busy theatre (four directors and their casts in all parts of the building), Cait interviews Angel Witney (Lady Melksham, Past), Emily Dixon(Miss Williams, Past) and Jack Willard (Justin) from the stunning new production.
Agatha Christie's Dial M for Murder is a stunning drama from the Queen of Crime. After a wrongly convicted woman dies in prison, it is up to her daughter to recreate the scene of the crime and exonerate her memory. When Carla Crale receives a letter from beyond the grave, she believes her mother was wrongly convicted of her father’s murder. In a passionate attempt to clear her name, she persuades those present on the day of her father’s death to return to the scene of the crime and ‘go back’ 16 years to recount their version of events.

The Lovely Bones cast members Isabella (Susie), Ava (Lindsey) and Andrew (Mr Harvey) interviewed by Cait (Grandma Lynn). Alice Sebold’s novel The Lovely Bones has been a bestseller throughout the world and the 2009 film, directed by Peter Jackson starring Saoirse Ronan, Stanley Tucci, Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon won a number of international awards.
Now a major new production by the Putney Theatre Company, with a wonderful ensemble cast and crew led by director Frances Bodiam.
Susie Salmon is 14 years old. She is dead. Murdered by a neighbour. When she arrives in her Heaven she can have anything she desires except to be alive again. But she is determined to help her family through their grief and identify her killer. She watches helplessly as her family falls apart and her brother and sister grow up without her, but can she exact revenge for her death from her place in heaven?

About the play:Moral and progressive young heroine Phoebe Virtue disguises herself as an IT consultant and journeys to London to rescue her brother Jack from the temptations of the depraved metropolis, where she suspects he is taking drugs and reading the Daily Telegraph.
Meanwhile, vampy, scheming Lady Susan Climber attempts to ascend the ladder of influence and land a breakfast TV spot by getting cancelled for being outrageous on social media. Their fates collide in a night of mayhem, mistaken identities, and mind-blowing sex at the Netflix masked ball.
Mike Bartlett’s post-pandemic love letter to the reopened theatres is a rollicking modern take on Restoration comedy that holds a satirical mirror up to the fads and fashions of our time, as well as a joyful celebration of London.

Cait interviews Frances, Mel and Paul, the cast of Lucy Kirkwood's tense drama, The Children.
Hazel and Robin live in a cottage by the sea because their house has been made uninhabitable by a catastrophic radiation leak at the nearby nuclear power station where they both worked. One day Rose, an old colleague, arrives on a visit. Her visit stirs up memories and reflections on life, love and relationships, but why has she come back after many years away?
The play poses pressing and challenging questions about responsibility but does so through the interactions of the characters in a familiar domestic space where the dialogue can range from deceptively light and funny to harsh and bitter within seconds.

Putney Theatre Company on Tour! At two outdoor venues this year, PTC brings you their funny, fast paced, modern English version of The Canterbury Tales.
Inspired by Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales but re-written into modern day English with hilarious effect, this fun version loses none of the charm of the original tales that have had such an enduring legacy on popular culture.
Brought together by the Hostess of the Tabard Inn, we join our group of travellers on the way to Canterbury, among them the Wife of Bath, with her bawdy manners, The Pardoner and his relics, the anxious Cook, and the Prioress with her dog.
This outdoor production is a delight for the senses with the cast performing in promenade style with lots of physical theatre, dancing and singing.

Cait interviews Emma (Elinor) , Olivia (Marianne) and Isabella (Margaret) to introduce the wonderful new production from the Putney Theatre Company: Sense & Sensibility, Jane Austen's classic, adapted by Jessica Swale and directed by Ben Clare.
In case you don't know, here's an outline of the ageless story. When their wealthy half-brother cheats them of their fortune, the penniless Dashwood sisters are forced to leave the comforts of Norland Park and relocate to chilly Barton Cottage in Devonshire. Eminently sensible Elinor pines for the kind-hearted Edward Ferrars, but the impulsive Marianne loses herself in the idea of her hero on horseback. When handsome stranger John Willoughby arrives one day with a rain-drenched Marianne in his arms, the sisters are convinced that their fortunes are changed forever.
In Jessica Swale’s delightful adaptation of Austen’s dearly-loved classic, we follow the fortunes of Elinor and Marianne as they chase their dreams from Devonshire to London and back.

Previewing the new producrtion of Joe White's Mayfly. Ben thinks his family might be better off without him, but his wife Cat has read her stars: 'Today a very special person will appear from out the blue.'
Their daughter Loops is getting ready for a date. It's her first one, and she has everything crossed.
An ethereal family drama, Joe White's debut play explores rebirth in the aftermath of tragedy. It premiered at the Orange Tree Theatre, Richmond, in April 2018, winning the playwrite the Off-West End Award for Most Promising Playwright in 2019.

A murderer’s fate lies in the hands of 12 women. Sally has committed the wickedest of crimes but her claims of pregnancy, perhaps, demand clemency. A panel of Suffolk matrons, pulled from their everyday into the machinations of 1760s justice, must assess if she’s telling the truth.
Will she escape a hanging, be transported, or will the mob tear her to pieces? Village midwife, Lizzy might be all that stands in the way of Sally’s execution. Female wisdom and strange portents spin Kirkwood’s incendiary play into a darkly comic theatrical tapestry.

As a long, hot summer fades to winter, the Haussmans both love and hate one another, their dysfunctional pasts overwhelming the present. Neil Bartlett’s acclaimed adaptation of Great Expectations thrillingly brings to life on the stage some of Charles Dickens' most memorable characters. The aspirational Pip, the kindly blacksmith Joe Gargery, the mysterious convict Abel Magwitch, the eccentric Miss Haversham, her beautiful ward Estella and Pip's good-hearted room-mate Herbert Pocket.
Through a series of strange and thrilling encounters, from its famous opening on the Kent marshes to its dramatic conclusion at Satis House, secrets of the past and strange twists of fate are revealed as Pip unravels the truth behind the mysterious financial bequest that makes him a gentleman. As events steer him towards maturity, he makes his most important discovery, finding the truth about himself.
