My teenaged daughter was recently diagnosed with OCD and it's rapidly worsening. This podcast is serving as my outlet during these difficult times and hopefully as she begins to take control of the disease, it will be here to help other families.
Today was supposed to be her second therapy session.
We had it all planned... I was to pick her up at gymnastics with lunch so that she could eat in the car on our way to the therapist. She took clothes to change into for the session too.
None of it happened. The food was all wrong. She wouldn't change because the clothes were "too dirty".
Ultimately, the therapist came down to my car and spoke with both of us separately.
I'm so worn out. I just want to get her the help and support she needs so that she can learn to control the OCD instead of allowing it to control her every action.
