In today's episode, I talk to Donna Lynch-Cunningham about the dynamics of finances in a relationship. A little bit about her, Donna Lynch-Cunningham is a native of Jamaica and a 3rd generation Seventh-day Adventist. She is a senior HR professional with over 16 years of experience in higher-education. She has been married to her “destiny partner” and the love of her life, Charles Cunningham, for approximately 28 years. Together, they have 4 adopted children (two who currently still live at home). She wants everyone to know that marriage is a ministry and it takes God, time, effort, sacrifice, forgiveness and compromise to establish and sustain a good, godly marriage. The views and opinions she expresses today are based on Biblical principles, as well as her own opinions gleaned from talking with women at various levels of their personal and professional journeys.

Also, this episode is inspired by a video that Bishop RC Blakes published recently. He is an author and a great man of God. Hello, ladies!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

After some reflections, here are some of the lessons that I learned in the year 2022. I hope that some of my reflections prove to be thought provoking to many of you.

So for this new year, here are some questions for you:

  1. Shall the close of the year find you further advanced than you are today?
  2. What will you do differently this new year?
  3. What are your new goals?
  4. What steps will you take to achieve these goals?
  5. Will you put away evil habits?
  6. Will you be considerate of others, faithful to do the work of a Christian?

We are now entering upon a new year, and may it prove a beginning of years to us. If in the old year we have made failures, let us commence the new by rectifying these errors as far as we can.- EGW

Hello, Ladies!!

Today is a chat-style podcast. I am breaking down Mark 5 verses 1-20 while I am doing my hair.

There are sooo many gems in those verses that I felt the NEED to share them. I learned that:

  1. Keep holding on when it is tough. You are close to your breakthrough
  2. God is listening to you.
  3. Your breakthrough may make others uncomfortable.
  4. Share your testimony

See how I came to these learning points in today’s episode.

I hope that you all are blessed.

Hello, Ladies!!

Today’s episode is nothing short of a wonderful miracle. We are talking about motherhood. However, not everything is flowery and peachy.

Maggie developed Postpartum depression following her pregnancy. She shares her overall fertility story along with her coping mechanisms and lessons from God through the ordeal. She is a wife and a mother of 4 and has a women's ministry entitled Change of Raiment. Her ministry focuses on the spiritual development of Christian women through the study of God's Word and fellowship. Change of Raiment focuses on growing in Christ through the study of God's Word. She understands that many women today struggle with feelings of self-worth and/or value. It is her mission to address the root cause of these feelings and build the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional makeup of a woman. She desires to teach women an alternative way of life apart from pop culture’s ideas by leading them to find their true worth in Christ. Her ministry gathers weekly for Bible and prayer on zoom and on Facebook. It’s a safe and supportive environment.

You can connect with her ministry here: https://direct.me/changeofraiment

So, if you are hoping to become pregnant, are an expecting mama, or someone who is or has dealt with postpartum depression, I hope that this episode fills you with hope. It sure did for me, as I edited this.

Medical terminology:

  • Diastasis recti- is when the six-pack ab muscles separate during pregnancy from being stretched. The separation can make a person's belly stick out or bulge months or years postpartum.
  • Postpartum depression- depression suffered by a mother following childbirth, typically arising from the combination of hormonal changes, psychological adjustment to motherhood, and fatigue. (oxford dictionary definition)

If you are suffering from postpartum depression, here are a few resources to take a look at:

SAMHSA’s National Helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357)

You can always find local therapists or online therapists as well. I recommend abide.network for Christian counselors. (not sponsored).

Hello, Ladies!! Today’s topic is very interesting and was probably my favorite to record. Today, we are listening to a lawyer expound on the career that, from her experience, is more prone to getting divorced in a bitter way. The career mentioned was shocking to me, and I believe may shock you as well. Interestingly enough, many women who are in that career agree with the lawyer and can see what she is saying. Therefore, here I share two of my tips for single women who do desire to be in such a career and ways that we can ‘divorce proof’ our marriages as much as is humanly possible. I believe that God will take care of the rest. I hope that this podcast blessed you. If it did, please don’t forget to share it, and if you feel led, write a review and or rate the podcast. Hello, Ladies!!  In this episode, we are going to hear about Tammy’s traumas that led to her abortion and how God led her to a place of healing. So ladies, how is your trauma being manifested in your daily life? How are your achievements or goals to be “better than” preventing you from seeing the overall picture of the state of your mental and or life situation? Take time to reflect upon that and grasp the hand of the Lord for strength.  To reach Tammy for Life Coaching and Grief Recovery, visit: https://www.stamena4life.com I want to apologize for the static in the audio, but I hope that it doesn’t bother much from the content of the message.
