this week i read the introduction to a collection of love stories from the new york times’ modern love column.
a rant episode on the concepts of rest, self love, capitalism, and feminism all intersecting with each other.

hello dear friends this week we are both treated with stacks and stacks of beautiful words from local artists! this episode was live recorded at an event hosted through the podcast put together by abigail wells and i to showcase our writer friends in the area and invite more of the local community in to meet us and share their work! all who came were spilling out the doors and cheering each other on and it was a lovely event that we were so lucky to put on. there are so many people to thank but primarily i want to thank all the writers who were brave enough to share their hearts with a room full of strangers (and now a piece of that room immortalized into the streaming service of your choice) so please be sure to look up all the artists involved and support their work!

this week i touch on understanding love as being known, as well as dive in to how terrifying it is to fall in love with your best friend.
this week i explore a writers note at the end of a book i recently read and talk about creating an experience with writing.
in this episode we delve into the emotional labor women put forth in home life and in the workplace on a regular basis, and how it goes unnoticed and uncompensated. this article was perspective changing, and guided my entire focus of my feminist study, and since i'm working on my feminist theory final this week, i wanted to share its impact!

hey, i’m cassie, and this is my podcast -- it’s wednesday, and i feel odd. the title for this podcast actually comes straight out of my diary, from an entry that was inspired completely by the mood reading great works of writing puts me in. i have always wanted to capture this feeling, and so now every wednesday i’ll be doing just that -- reading (and sometimes writing) a poem or a story, a text post or excerpt from a book aloud to you, so we can both share the joy that comes from reading something truly impactful. thanks for listening, i’ll see you on wednesday:)
