In Part 2 of the November 2021 Recaps coverage, we dive into a pattern of philosophical inversions and mandates advanced by a militant faction in the SCP Wiki Staff, with the intent of servicing an unspoken, denied, but clearly demonstrated ideology. We explain how & why the idea of LGBTQ+ Pride has been warped by a non-representative sect of the movement into an unhealthy and uncompromising ideology, and how this misinterprets the intention of the LBGTQ+ rights movement, by demanding special treatment instead of equality. We also give context to why SCP Staff members are promoting more than just a dedicated Pride Month celebration, suddenly, and in November of all months.

Why was the Cerastes Incident so controversial? What went wrong and where? Who were the actors involved and what has happened to them? Why do so many angry voices still call for the censure of Dexanote and DrEverettMann? Why hasn't this censure happened yet, over a year after the incident?
We attempt to answer these questions in a deep dive into what is perhaps the most controversial, intra-staff event to occur in modern SCP Wiki history.
The Cerastes Incident resulted in the resignation of one SCP Wiki Administrator, as well as the called-for censure of two additional Administrators, two staff-wide meetings, two official statements on O5 Command, multiple follow-up threads on aspects of the disciplinary care, the creation of Admin-Captain Chat Recaps, the inspiration for Staffchat Recaps, and contributed to the general user dissatisfaction and outrage witnessed in the 2021 SCP Wiki Town Halls.
