Each episode will feature something new to help you and your family live better and stay healthier. You'll meet our staff and, from time to time, visit with some of our regional agency partners. The 2024 Cancer Warriors Walk for Hope (CWWH) is coming to Metropolis on October 5. This is the first of 3 episodes in our CWWH podcast series about this remarkable effort to combat cancer for those we serve every day and what it means to those living with and/or caring for someone with cancer. You'll hear from our region's two Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), Community Health & Emergency Services (CHESI) and Rural Health, Inc, and how they meet the needs of patients with vital grassroots cancer care close to home.
You can prevent Hepatitis B Virus (Hep B or HBV) from causing liver cancer by simply getting tested and vaccinated if needed. In today’s episode, we’re gonna Zoom chat all the way to Chicago to talk with Alia Southworth from the Asian Health Coalition at the University of Chicago and Penn State University to find out what you need to know about this virus, how you can check your Hepatitis B status, and where you can get vaccinated if needed.
