Throughout her career, she has trained and coached hundreds of tech leaders. She has three university degrees in psychodynamic and systemic thinking, sociology, and anthropology. Michal lives with her husband and their four children in London, UK.

Rabbi Shlomo Katz is an author, teacher, and internationally-known musician who has toured the world, sharing his love of Torah and music with communities around the globe. He has led hundreds of people on transformative journeys through Jewish history, Kevrei Tzadikim, and the foundations of Chassidus to explore, to grow, and to empower each individual to connect to themselves, others, and to HaShem. Rabbi Katz continues to build an online learning community he started over ten years ago, which expanded tremendously during COVID. Rabbi Katz is the spiritual leader of the Shirat David synagogue in Efrat, Israel, where he lives with his family.

Bio:
Dr. Tammy Keces is the founding Head of School at Irvine Hebrew Day School (IHDS). Tammy is a passionate educator who is deeply committed to the mission of IHDS. Tammy holds a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University in Curriculum and Instruction, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UCSD, an Administrative Services Credential Cal State University, Fullerton, and a Doctorate in Education from Cal State University, Fullerton.

Born and raised in Laguna Beach, Tammy has taught elementary school in various private and public schools in Orange County including the JCC, Tarbut V’Torah, and New Horizon in Irvine, CA. Tammy has been an educational consultant for public, charter, Montessori, and private schools, providing professional development training and mentoring for administrators, school counselors, teachers, and staff. Her school consultation work has included training in the implementation of the Singapore Math curriculum, Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing Workshop, and a comprehensive social-emotional learning curriculum for grades K-12 called Positive Discipline. As a certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, Tammy has facilitated Positive Discipline training for all of the staff at IHDS, leading to the designation of IHDS as a Positive Discipline Lab School.

Tammy has done extensive academic research and assessments on motivating children to learn, which was included in Dr. Debra Stipek’s book, “Motivating Children to Learn: From Theory to Practice.” Tammy’s language arts curriculum is featured in “Positive Discipline in the School and Classroom; (4th edition)” and the “Problem Solving Wheel of Choice Program,” both by Jane Nelsen. Most recently Tammy wrote the foreword for “Positive Discipline Tools for Teachers” by Jane Nelsen. Tammy has recently published her dissertation titled “Teachers’ Perceptions of their Social-Emotional Competencies and Social-Emotional Learning Practices”. The purpose of her qualitative study was to better understand the perspectives of teachers’ social-emotional competencies, the development of social-emotional competencies, and the practice and implementation of social and emotional learning (SEL).

Yair Levi is an international singer, song-writer, and music producer with a unique life story. Because of Israel’s complex reality, Yair was drafted into the IDF in 2007. He served as a captain in Shayetet 13 (Israel’s Navy SEAL’s) for 8 years, during which Yair was involved in a variety of dangerous, covert operations. After 8 years, Yair decided to quit his service and pursue his life long dream, and became a full time professional singer. Yair’s most famous song to date is ReFa Na which has reached millions around the world, as an international prayer for healing over the covid-19 pandemic.

Evonne Marzouk - Jewish Environmentalist & Author of 'The Prophetess'

Evonne Marzouk has spent her career in pursuit of inspiring others, making a difference, and bringing Jewish wisdom into the world. She grew up in Philadelphia and began writing and publishing poems and stories as a young child. Evonne attended Johns Hopkins University and received a B.A. from the Writing Seminars program, with a minor in Religious Studies. Evonne founded and is the former director of Canfei Nesharim (recently merged with GrowTorah), an organization that teaches Jewish wisdom about protecting the environment. Evonne began work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1999 and has played key roles in work on the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation, the Minamata Convention on Mercury, and the Global Alliance to Eliminate Lead Paint. Throughout all these activities, publishing a novel has been one of Evonne’s lifelong dreams. She is incredibly grateful, and sometimes amazed, that the moment has finally arrived.

She has a degree in contrastive linguistics from Boston University and, after serving in the Peace Corps in Thailand, studied for her doctorate in developmental psycholinguistics at the University of Chicago.

Arnee received Hebrew College’s Sidney Hillson/Rose Bronstein Award for distinguished achievement in Jewish educational leadership in 2011, the Norman B. Leventhal Community Leadership Award from the JCC Greater Boston in 2014, and became an Honorary Fellow of the Academy of the Hebrew Language in Jerusalem in 2015.
