Blue Zones: regions of the world thought to have a higher than usual number of people that live much longer than average. This identification was coined by Gianni Pes and Michel Poulain.
We have been inundated with tools, tips and products that promote the narrative of living longer lives. Most of us just want to age gracefully because being forever young takes a lot of work and collagen! However, what if I told you that the secret to living a longer, fulfilling, happier and graceful life is located in what is called the Blue Zones of the world.
A documentary on YouTube explores the different Blue Zones located in the world and shares the tools to living a longer life. This week we discuss the Blue Zone that is Okinawa, Japan. And did you know that an aspect that is not really spoken about is actually a key point in living much longer?

In the famous words of Nanny McPhee, 'When you don't want me, but need me, then I must stay. But when you want me, but no longer need me, then I must go.' These words were so apt for the theatrics of the movie, but man oh man, when we say it has never been felt so deep within reality. As we grow throughout our lives we encounter many different people, but also numerous parts of who we are through our experiences. And as we navigate our lives the people who have been along side us, too, are evolving, some may fall away, others may take a hiatus and others may remain till death do us part. Whichever, accompaniment they choose, it affects who we are and the dynamic of who we used to be. Join us, as we discuss the nature of evolving friendships through our 20's.

We have all heard the line of, 'where your attention goes, your energy flows'. Meaning, where you place your focus in life, there you will attract more of that energy into your life. We have been away for a while...did you miss us? Well our absence has brought you all an episode focused on what our lives have taught us in that time away. What is energy really? How do we harness it and use it to our advantage? How do we protect it? These are some of the questions we discuss in this high vibrational podie. So, if you're ready for your vibrational frequency to be lifted...suit up and grab a cup of tea, because we're about to reveal some classified information x

Wait...is something wrong with our title? Does it remind you of a movie perhaps? Yes, the one with Jennifer Lopez. What to expect, when you're expecting. However, we are not pregnant and this is not something you can particularly plan for. In this episode, we delve into what zero expectations can bring. Even when expecting the unexpected you are still expecting something...wow that was really confusing.
The point is, what happens when you have zero expectations? What does your life look life? How do you feel? How do you approach life? Have we learnt anything from the year who will not be named? And if so, what? And has that shaped any of our plans, dreams hopes or five year, ten year plans we may have had in the works? Perhaps has it changed how you frame your life and changed the trajectory of it, all together?
These are the questions this episode brings up. Join us, on how we manage our new perspective on life and where zero expectations may take us all...

Ever hear the saying "A man is but the product of his thoughts, what he thinks, he becomes"? Well Gandhi knew the tea! And the choir said, Amen!
Intentions, intentions, intentions, everything is always better said in three's. These notions are are as fleeting as emotions. They are subject to change throughout the course of our lives, days and hours. However, the sentiment behind each of them serve their purpose. To be reminded that we can always stay connected with how we choose to feel and that we are somewhat connected with what we choose to receive and dream.
Join us this week as we discuss how we set intentions and what intentions mean to us.

Have you ever truly sat for a while and thought about the air you breathe in?...Okay, maybe that's a little too abstract and existential. How about have you ever thought about the toothbrush you're using the plastics, although, medical grade, effects on your health, or the toothpaste you're using? Have you thought about all the takealot packaging that comes with every purchase and where it goes...aah we must sound like environmental activists. The point is you'd be surprised the long standing effects that everything you do on a daily is actually making on your life, we're talking about the air you're breathing in, the water you're drinking, the lives being affected by certain malpractices in factories from stores that you buy at.
Join us as we discuss sustainable living, how we feel about the South African environmental sphere, what we are trying to do, to live a more sustainable life and what some companies are doing to reduce the negative environmental impact they have.

The final episode of our Body Confidence series. This may be a trigger for some people talking about food, exercises and lifestyles. So please take care of your mind and heart. Understanding what body confidence is and how it is actually defined by many people we asked our good friend 'Google' to help us out. According to Free-Being-Me.com, ' Body confidence is how a person feels about the way they look. When we have body confidence we accept, and are happy with, how we look and what our bodies can do.' Do you agree with this definition or not? How do you feel about the 'summer body' trend? Do you do sporadic exercises or have you cultivated healthy habits that have formed your lifestyle?
Join us as we discuss our opinions on this definition and how we have defined body confidence throughout our lives. Perhaps our journey's have some useful tips on how to view your power, within your bodies, as we settle into the new year.

Ah, the beauty of a New Year...let's hope this one keeps us sane. And speaking of sanity, we can all agree 2020 was a true test of our relationships, health, finances and mostly our minds. Understanding our minds chatter, operations and triggers will allow us to understand ourselves better and how to appropriately and lovingly treat ourselves when living our day to day lives.
Join us as we unpack unhealthy mindsets, social media illusions and distortions, consumerism and systems to put into place of how to understand ourselves better, how to step by step deal with unwanted thoughts and spirals of negativity.
We hope that this episode can connect some dots, patterns and illuminate how social media can create an illusion of healthy mindsets, perceptions and lifestyles and how those illusions potentially create and trigger negative energy in your mind.
Handle yourself with care.

Similarities and differences, are mechanisms used to categorize our lives. Expect the unexpected... a common phrase thrown around in movies when frivolous situations happen and used as a cool 'exit' line. But do we truly understand what it means , do we truly learn to expect the unexpected, do we truly know how to deal with unexpected situations?

So, join us as we talk about comfortability in contracts in life, unexpected situations that throw us off our perceived expected paths, and the famous Gen Z question 'What are you doing now?'.

Ah, the age old tale of productivity. In this episode we share some of our experiences with productivity pressure, what society deems as productive and unproductive and where we find ourselves on that continuum. Do we happily buy a ticket for a ride on the 'Productivity Train' also known as 'sleep is for the weak' or do we choose to sit at the station, knowing that even if we miss our train another is going in that same direction later on?
Join us as we discuss both ends of the spectrum and let us know whether you are buying a ticket or sitting on the bench at the station.
