Welcome to The Outwrite Podcast, This article is published on "theoutwrite.com" by Varun Singh Rajput. Elon Musk is a well-known genius for the amazing products and his sight for the future. But he is also popular for erratic tweets, which have cost a fortune to Tesla and created some legal troubles for himself in the last couple of years. There is another lawsuit that came in a notice on Friday that was originally filed on March 8. A Tesla investor, Chase Gharrity suing Tesla and Elon Musk for the "Erratic Tweets" which violated United States SEC (Security and Exchange Commission) settlement.
It all started way back in 2018 with Elon's tweet, "Am considering taking Tesla private at $420. Funding secured." The Security and Exchange Commission did take action and launched a complaint marking this tweet as "False and Misleading".
According to TechCrunch, the filing from the Southern District of New York on 27th September 2018, had the following remarks mentioned in the complaint: "Musk’s statements disseminated via Twitter falsely indicated that should he so choose, it was virtually certain that he could take Tesla private at a purchase price. It reflected a substantial premium over Tesla stock’s then-current share price, that funding for this multi-billion dollar transaction had been secured. And that the only contingency was a shareholder vote.
After a long legal battle, Tesla and the SEC agreed to allow Elon Musk to tweet with certain limitation, clearly states not to post anything around the financial states of the company. Tesla paid a $20 Million fine, appointed two independent directors to monitor Elon's movements in media even via Twitter. Elon stepped down as Tesla Chairman for at least three years.
Bloomberg Law expert Peter Rasmussen stated, " Musk might have a hard time winning over the Delaware Chancery Court. With all the chances that Musk has been given, it is quite possible that the Chancery Court will have little patience with his latest tweeting adventures.
Now the lawsuit filed by Chase Gharrity over several tweets has a specific tweet for May 1, 2020, in which Elon tweeted, "Tesla stock price is too high." It destructed $14 billion worth of Tesla's market capitalisation in a single day. It clearly states that Elon Musk's erratic actions over social media especially via Twitter around financial milestones have caused "substantial damage" to the company.

Welcome to The Outwrite Podcast, this article is published on “theoutwrite.com” by Varun Singh Rajput. Apple sues Simon Lancaster, who associated with the company for 11 years as an Advanced Materials Lead, and Product Design Architect. He has been accused to trade secret information with some specific media houses for his personal benefits. Being a veteran designer in Apple, Simon had access to many secret and unreleased products in the company. The court document filed which was made public recently states: “Despite over a decade of employment at Apple, Lancaster abused his position and trust within the company, to systematically disseminate Apple’s sensitive trade secret information in an effort to obtain personal benefits. He used his seniority to gain access to internal meetings and documents, outside the scope of his job’s responsibilities containing Apple’s trade secrets, and he provided these trade secrets to his outside media correspondent.” Apple also claimed that “The Correspondent then published the stolen trade secrets in articles, citing a “source” at Apple. On multiple occasions, Lancaster proposed that the Correspondent give benefits to Lancaster in exchange for Apple’s trade secrets. For example, Lancaster proposed that the Correspondent provide favourable coverage of a startup company in which Lancaster was an investor as a quid pro quo. Lancaster even recruited the Correspondent to serve as his personal investigator. In one instance, Lancaster requested that the Correspondent explore a rumour that could prove harmful toa company in which Lancaster had invested.” On the 22nd of November 2019, Simon Lancaster on his Linkedin page talked about his journey in Apple and why he left the company. He shares why working with Apple was awesome, ” In 2008 Apple was the place to be. They were not just at the forefront of consumer products but at the forefront of material science and engineering. There was a strange symbiosis between what consumers wanted, and what was possible with the technology at the time. At every turn, I was able to step up, and help the engineering product design department take sketches off the drawing board and turn them into real products. I fell in love with the magic of certain processes, like additive manufacturing and composites, and would stay on to become Apple’s advanced materials lead. Looking back, I’m not sure what was more engaging and inspiring: the people I worked with, or the products I worked on.” After leaving the company Lancaster joined Arris Composites Inc. which is an Apple vendor, as a Head of Consumer Products. He did inform his correspondent about leaving Apple in October 2019, asking if the media house is interested in writing a story, “about a 12 year Apple Design Veteran leaving for an amazing startup.”

Apple is reducing the overall production of the iPhone 12 range by 20% (Majorly iPhone 12 Mini). As published in the latest report by Nikkei Asia, the comparison is done with the figures presented by Apple in December last year.
In previous reports, they targeted up to 93 million devices to be produced in the first half of 2021 (including the iPhone 12 lineup and few older models like the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE). They have now reduced that number to 75 million units. This number is still higher than what was shipped last year during the same time span.
The major drop is made in the production of iPhone 12 Mini devices, as the demand for smaller, power-packed phones have been way lesser than expected.
The U.S. tech giant has asked a few of the suppliers to repurpose the already acquired components of the mini devices into the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro-Max devices.
Having said so about production slashes and the percentage of decrease in the number of units sold. Apple is still going strong with a healthy demand for the other three high-end devices in the iPhone 12 series. They lavishly contribute to its record-breaking revenue figure of $111.4 billion in the last quarter of 2020.
A rumoured iPhone 13-Mini is still on the table even after the low-ask for the iPhone 12-Mini. Mind you, the demand is lower than expected but not off the charts.
However, this time, the company might start with low output and increase production as per the market requirement. Meanwhile, Apple will focus on the devices which are doing well in the market. We would get to know and analyse more, once the new figures are released.

Facebook’s internal R&D team (NPE), launched a new app in their music space series, called BARS. This app is supposed to enable all rappers, from beginners to professionals to create, enhance and showcase their skills.
The NPE team previously launched a music app called COLLAB, which lets you collaborate and make new music with other artists and showcase them. Whereas, the BARS app comes with pre-made beats and auto-tune features. A rapper can add their lyrics and record their performance. It also suggests rhyming words when one is trying to create lyrics, along with various audio and video filters.
This new app also features a “challenge mode” where you can rap freestyle and provide word-cues for other people to join in creating a more game-like element for better engagement and fun. It lets you record videos up to 60 seconds long which later can be saved under the camera roll or can be shared on various different social media platforms.
It’s basically Facebook’s attempt to create a competitor for TikTok. Currently, it only focuses on fun with rap lyrics and beats but you never know what features can add up in case it’s a success.
The app interface very much resembles the TikTok interface and features a fire button instead of a like or love button. So, if you enjoy something, you can hit the fire button as many times as you like. BARS was launched on 27th Feb 2021 in a closed Beta. For iOS fin the US only and is currently open for just registrations. So, if you are interested you can at least book a username for yourself well in advance.
Facebook says it will roll out the invites for all in batches, starting with the users in the US. More updates and news about the app and its launch to be shared on Instagram.
Facebook’s experimental app division consistently keeps working on new concepts and ideas. They have launched many apps in the near past like COLLAB, Collage Maker E.gg, Hobbi, etc. They keep the ones that are able to draw the attention of the users else the app is shut down. The team continues to work on something new. Well, its a competitive world and you never know what can click and turn into a huge success.

WhatsApp’s new privacy policy has been in news for some time now. Initially, there was too much speculation about the app, sharing all private chats and information to Facebook – (Its parent company). Pertaining to so much chaos, WhatsApp delayed the application of these new policies, which were supposed to be activated on 8th Feb’21.
WhatsApp now explains in there FAQ section, what will happen when you do not accept the new policies, effective 15th May. and what happens once the new privacy policy is in place.
The new policy has been under controversy that all personal chats and information will be made public, but that is not the case. Private chats on the app are end to end encrypted and only the recipients can view them. The new policy refers only to business chats, wherein they might share some information to Facebook servers for advertisement purposes.
Now, coming to the time once this new policy is in effect. The features on the app will be limited if you choose not to accept the policies. You should be able to see notifications and make calls but not send or read messages.
One can even accept the new policy post 15th May, but the account will remain active for 120 days only, adhering to there inactive user policy.
The company is also trying to explain the new policies to all users for better understanding and clearing the air. They tried previously by posting status messages/stories but from now on, they will be including a banner at the top, which can be tapped to view and read the policy details.
WhatsApp also notes that businesses pay for the right to use WhatsApp to reach customers, and that’s one of the ways WhatsApp is able to provide its app for free. The main features of WhatsApp remain as private as ever. Of course, it’s not as private as some users might think. WhatsApp started sharing some personal information like phone numbers, and profile photos with Facebook in 2016 to improve friend recommendations and ads on the app.
Now, it’s up to the users to decide, do they choose to continue with services, or prefer switching to a new platform altogether. We don’t even know for sure, how trustable these other platforms are?

Website Bounce Rate is one of the major concerns I usually see among digital marketers and businesses all over the world. Even Bloggers are no exceptions and usually try to get an answer for questions like Why readers don’t stick to my blog?
If you are one of them, then don’t worry you are not alone.
Most of the visitors spend less than 5 seconds on a website or blog they search for. It’s simple, If I don’t see what I am looking for, or I don’t find the content helpful, the first thing would be hitting the back button and jump to another website.
It leads to a low website bounce rate, which is not good. If users don’t find value on your platform, Google will likely not serve your site in front of the users too. That’s what happens with most of the websites.
You have to understand that there are millions of websites and blogs get published every day. Making a place among them is always a challenge, however, there are few things that can always push you further and stand you out to some extent.
Holding visitors to your site or generating a high website bounce rate contains various facts some of them are listed below: 1) A post should be more Readable: As we discussed, time is a major factor hence you need to ensure visitor gets what he wants with minimum efforts. In short, you have to make your content more readable by including such as
2) Try to make your article short and to the point: Don’t try to throw too much information in one post and make it too big like a monster, no one has time to go through your 2000 words article.
Most of the visitors are impatient, so we have to serve the right amount of information in the fastest way. If there is a complex topic, try and break in a post of series instead of going with one post.
3) Deliver Value: What’s your goal? Why did you start a blog? I am sure you know the answer for yourself. If you started a blog just to earn money by running after page views, keywords based articles etc. Would it be successful? I don’t know.
However, if you have something to share, which adds value to visitors and help them grow personally or with a profession, then, of course, It’ll be a great blog.
People will come back all the time to gain and learn from your experience, which automatically increases the hits, later on, can be monetized. That’s actually the right way.
4) Internal Links: One has to be really careful while using internal links because it could go against and irritate visitors. So make sure, if you create an internal link it has to be useful and related to your current posts or topic.
For example: as a user, I am interested in reading a review for iPhone X, and in the same post I see a link stating “10 disadvantages of iPhone X over iPhone 8 or Plus” – chances are really high that I hit that link.

The question I would try to answer today “Is WordPress Good for SEO? I don’t agree with it completely. Yes, you heard me right!
WordPress is an SEO friendly CMS, even much better than other solutions in the market but still it’s not a perfect SEO CMS solution. I’ve been an advanced user of WordPress – would be sharing my thoughts out here with facts.
WordPress has become the first choice for most of the bloggers in the world to share their content and creativity out there. Some of them, focus on money as the primary goal – nothing wrong with it, however, few genuinely want to add value to society.
If you are a blogger or content creator in any form, must be falling in one of the categories I just talked about. Both the cases demand one condition to be fulfilled, pushing content to the right audience. That’s where SEO comes into the picture!
Every content creator should understand the possibility of a platform to distribute their content among users. Because It doesn’t matter how good your content is, it won’t be visible anywhere in the search if CMS is not going well with SEO.
As we all know, WordPress is a PHP and MySQL based free and the best content management system (CMS) available in the market since the 27th of May, 2003. But the question remains the same, Is WordPress good for SEO? We shouldn’t stop asking this question, as Google and other major search engines keep changing or modifying their algorithms.
WordPress raw installation (without any plugin or theme) has many flaws that don’t make it a complete SEO friendly CMS. However, tricks and controlled changes can make you eligible to get the best out of it.
Below are some of the pain areas of WordPress, stopping it to be a perfect CMS:
Website Load Speed One of the major factors to attract users, apart from content (of course) is the loading speed of your website. As I mentioned in earlier posts, users don’t wait for more than 5 seconds to load a page or posts before hitting the back button and jumping to another site.
We’ve heard of slow WordPress site issues, but you can’t put all the blame on CMS as it has many factors involved for example Bad host, plugin, theme, etc. Default Installation of WordPress has an excellent load speed, and most of the users spoil it by using too many plugins, themes that aren’t SEO friendly.
Automatic Sitemaps Submission
You want your content to be searched, and visible then of course sitemap plays a vital role. That’s another challenge we have with WordPress which is the unavailability of automatic submission of sitemap to search engines. Yes, there are plugins to help you out but it would have some major negative impact too, for example slowing down your website.
I am not a huge fan of plugins except few, always prefer to make changes in the source code of WordPress itself.I highly recommend submitting your sitemaps to Google search console manually instead of depending on any plugin.
I use WordPress and try to kill all the loopholes by making changes in the source files, going with less plugin as much as possible. Even though I am still not satisfied completely. However, I would call myself a proud WordPress developer/user 🙂

WordPress is a PHP and MySQL based free and open-source software, which you can utilize to create a website or blog.
It was released on 27th of May 2003, almost 14 years back by Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little. Since then, the web world has changed aggressively. however, as website management or CMS, WordPress is fulfilling all the requirements of web designers and bloggers.
It’s the most popular Content Management System in the world. and of course, the easiest and flexible one to allow designers to use their creativity in the best possible manner. In order to create a website, you only need a domain and web hosting, – wherein WordPress software needs to be installed through a control panel of your hosting service.
We have too many CMS available in the market, for example: Drupal, Blogger, Joomla, Google Search Appliance, vBulletin, Adobe CQ, CPanel, DNN Software, Expression Engine etc. however, WordPress rules this world as always.
Here are the Key Benefits of Using WordPress Easy to Use: WordPress is a user-friendly platform, which means one doesn’t have to be a webmaster, or an advanced web designer to build a business or personal website. Either it’s about managing, or updating the content without playing around with HTML, or making small changes, – WordPress gives you the power!
Search Engine Optimization: If you want to extend the reach of your content, then YES! WordPress is a good choice as it supports SEO pretty well. It optimizes your content for search engines in the right manner, which definitely increases the visibility and user base of your website. WordPress gets updated frequently, no doubt that’s something makes Google happy out there.
Mobility: It’s one of the best features, wherein users don’t have to stuck with one particular machine to control their websites. It’s browser-based so you can access it from any device either it’s a phone, tablet, phablet or laptop/desktop – you have the control doesn’t matter where you are.
Open Source: Yes, you heard it right! It’s an Open Source as I said before, which means in any scenario you don’t have to pay any software license fees to WordPress or other support. Apart from that, you can also avail thousands of free themes and plugins according to your requirement.
Well Supported CMS: As I mentioned, It’s the most utilized CMS in the world – means you have enough support to run your website smoothly. If you face any issues, just type in Google and you’ll see enough content to fix the problem. There are so many tutorials, groups, and websites specialized in WordPress to help out the community. It does make a big difference as no one has time to waste in just finding the support, or solution rather working on it.
I’ve been using WordPress for more than 10 years, and still expect more features as an advanced user, however, my experience is really good so far. This article gives you a little overview of WordPress, tried to make it short as much as I could.

The frequency of the blog depends on multiple factors including the nature of your website. However, I would like to answer the question of “How Often Should You Blog” from a blogger perspective.
For some, it would be one of the tools for content marketing, on the other hand, there are individuals who write because they love to share, and try to add value to their audience by sharing the knowledge and experiences.
Let me be clear, it’s just a quick chat because I can’t cover all the S E O technicalities over here. I can talk about best practices for hours, so for now just sharing my thoughts as a user and blogger, leaving S E O specialist behind. Let’s get back to what we started with, “How often you should Blog? We need to understand, that every individual has different objectives when it comes to blogging.
This post is useful for everyone, either you do blogging for money, or a passionate blogger, who doesn’t even care how Google treats their posts. I respect every blogger who has a value to provide, who is ready to share his knowledge with society. Because if you have a good, and genuine content which can actually help people out there, then try and push it further to a larger audience.
There are so many technicalities to ensure your content reaches to the right audience, and I wouldn’t be able to cover all the topics in one post. So we quickly try to find out, what is the right content creation cycle to attract search engines, like Google, Baidu, Bing, Yahoo, etc.
If you already have a blog or website, then I am sure you must have got this free advice or read somewhere that you should blog every day. It’s a MYTH! And the majority of bloggers especially who are new, have to understand that just following this ritual and putting their all efforts, won’t get results. Let me tell you, why?
Google or any well-known search engine appreciates content which has quality, and of course, it has to be genuine. Adding values to the users should be the first priority instead of content posted, without any thoughts.
Search engines are smart enough to dominate content which isn’t helpful, – It’s not quantity, focus on “QUALITY”. There are two major drawbacks when you prefer quantity over quality.
Loose focus As a blogger, we love to write whenever we feel like, it’s our passion not a machine making tool. It’s a time-consuming task as we put our thoughts, ideas, & research together and draft it beautifully for our audience. On the other hand, when one tries to post every day, he loses visibility, and focus as there is no research aligned.
You are posting just to interject some more keywords on your blog and thinking it’ll boost your ranking. I am afraid, you hit the wrong ball. Secondly,
Don’t Irritate the Audience When you try to post every day and share it on your social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, You don’t give time to your audience to engage with your post because it’s too often. To be honest no one has time to read 5 articles a day.

Welcome to The Outwrite Podcast! “Social Media Marketing” is a term that comprises the use of all social media platforms for example Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, to advertise and extend the reach of their products or services.
Each platform has its own characteristic which can be used by marketing experts to communicate with more users in the world. Marketing on Facebook would be different from Twitter or any other platform. As an expert, one has to have a strong understanding of different channels and use it wisely towards social media marketing.
Nowadays, most of the companies are interested to spend a huge amount on marketing using social media platforms. The objective is to engage with customers in a completely different manner as compared to the traditional one.
The game-changer in social media is the use of advanced technologies every other day. And of course, multiple new platforms pushing each other to improve in order to survive.
Understanding your audience is one of the most important aspects. Who’s your audience, what they expect, are some of the facts that need to be considered before you publish anything.
The content should be in front of the right audience to establish a strong engagement. If they like it, chances are higher that they share it further within their community, which is exactly a brand or marketer expects.
The major social Media Platforms which cover most of the users’ community are: * Instagram. * Twitter. * Facebook. * LinkedIn. * WhatsApp. * Yelp. * Foursquare. * YouTube. * Tumblr.
Either as a Brand or a marketer, the major goal should be creating more loyal users & making the existing ones happy. And without any doubt, Social Media Platforms give us the power to fulfil such major goals.
The customer-centric mentality is required to stand strong in any business. It doesn’t matter what tactics you use, at the end consumer is the King, who decides the game.
I would cover all the strategies and techniques for an effective Social Media Marketing Plan in the future. The objective of this quick view is just to share a sneak peek of “Social Media Marketing” before getting into more details.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". Solopreneur is a visionary individual who builds his business from scratch, runs the whole operation, takes the risk, saying BYE to the many major traditional forms of the business world – ALL ALONE! It’s completely different from an entrepreneur wherein we have other employees, investors, and infrastructure to support. However, solopreneurs never intend to hire employees, rather love to spend time in production and doing work for long hours. Entrepreneurs are more towards management and push themselves to build a team, and network outside their brand to expand the business as soon as possible. According to me, any high-skilled individual who has a will to draft his or her own brand could lead to solopreneur term. However, many of us would move ahead to be called entrepreneurs by hiring employees and accepting the traditional forms of business building. I would love to call myself “Solopreneur” as everything is handled by me. Either finance or other services. however, I can always opt for contractors or outsource some of the tasks. There are a couple of reasons, I always wanted to work alone first, before creating a team. Doesn’t matter how many books or classes you take to understand the brand, business, management etc. EXPERIENCE speaks louder. That’s why I always craved to taste the whole process of shaping up a diamond from the raw rock. The effects of being a solopreneur are way impressive than you could ever imagine, let me list down 3 major advantages: Building a Personal Brand Holding a Strong Vision Being Your Own Boss The objective of today’s article is to bring the importance of this term “Solopreneurs”. It has some amazing characters to lead, and a great life on your own terms. I would urge everyone to taste it at least once in life, don’t shoot for success over passion. As an individual, you will inherit great characteristics, survival skills. It can’t be learned or bought from any university or corporate on this planet. Until unless you take everything on your shoulders and start something you are crazy at! This article is published on “theoutwrite.com” by Varun Singh Rajput. Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". Apple’s new range of iPhones can be a bit of hassle when it comes to authentication while outside these days. As Face ID being the only biometric authentication available on these devices, using it while putting a mask on is impossible. Which means you have to enter your passcode n number of times, even just to check the notifications!
Well, Apple is working on a solution to fix this situation in its new iOS upgrade, version 14.5, but only if you own an Apple Watch.
If you are an Apple fan you might be aware that this feature already exists for MacOS users, they can unlock their devices if they have an iWatch. Developers are trying to bring the same technique to iPhones. If you have your Apple Watch on, and you lift your hand to see the phone, it will make a haptic nudge to authenticate you and will automatically unlock your phone.
This option is now available for Developer Beta version users and should be publicly available in the coming weeks. Having said that, you must keep in mind –
The new iOS upgrade (version 14.5) will include several other features, like App Tracking Transparency, which will seek user permission before tracking your data across apps and websites. Support for PS5 and Xbox Series “X” controllers, enhanced Siri, 5G Global Dual-SIM support and much more.
So, if you own the latest iPhone and an Apple Watch or planning to buy one, well your Face ID issues will be gone in a blink. Rumours also hint that “iPhone 13” – may include an “in-screen fingerprint scanner”, along with Face ID for more convenience, Built-in sensors in the power button for iPad Air and more. So all Apple users might hope for more options and choices in the upcoming devices.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a defined process of improving search engine rankings of a web page through organic, natural, or earned results.
It can be called a set of rules or frameworks, as there are certain rules at all the levels one has to stick with. It’s mandatory in order to make an SEO campaign successful.
Webmasters can always use ‘Search Engine Optimization’ as a tool to ensure, the high visibility of a website by reaching more customers. It helps businesses to create more revenues.
Why Do We Need SEO (Search Engine Optimization)? SEO means visibility in other words. So if you want the right customers who would be interested in your product & services. Most probably, you’ll run all the advertisements to reach your possible customers. In short, you have to be seen and search engine optimization can make it possible at some level.
If you own a small or big scale business, run a blog or website, SEO becomes essential. It can’t be ignored at all. In order to survive the competition, a webmaster, or digital marketing manager of your business or website needs to work consistently on each and every rule carefully.
Search Engine Optimization brings specifically targeted users who have an interest in your products. It definitely spikes the sales of products & services. I think that’s one of the major pillars of any business to stand strong.
Search Engines: There are many search engines like Google, Bing, Baidu, Yahoo, ask.com, aol.com, etc. If you have a good SEO practice applied, most of the search engines would push your content or product. It would increase your visibility percentage more than other site or business.
Now How does it help? Let me clear it one more time: I am interested in Gaming, want to have the latest console Xbox One X. In order to find a good store, I search on Google or any other search engine.
The store which has worked on their web presence and applied SEO in order to come up in search results will appear more. So chances are higher that I go and buy Xbox One X from that particular store.
Search Engine Optimization widely focuses on design, blog, content, keywords, HTML, the title of a post, etc. There are too many concepts we’ll have to go through to be an advanced SEO expert. I would cover all of them in the upcoming posts.
I tried to draft an easy overview of search engine optimization, instead of making it too complex. You have to understand nothing changes overnight. It’s a process that demands efforts, consistency, research, strong product and a hell lot of patience. I hope it helps, will catch you soon.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". As we all are aware of the recent chaos caused due to WhatsApp new “Privacy Policy“, apps like Telegram and Signal have gained a major influx of users in just a few days.
In order to keep all these users intact and draw more audience, the developer teams have been working hard to come up with more user-friendly features and options in the app. Following so, Telegram has recently enabled the options to import chat from WhatsApp, so that users can keep chatting flawlessly even when they switch platforms.
This new feature is yet to be announced officially by Telegram but is now available with the latest version of the app (7.4.1) only for iOS users so far. We assume it’s still under testing and might not be available for all users, but if it is available for you, here’s how it works:
It will not move all your data from WhatsApp to Telegram in one go, – but functions chat to chat. So, you have the choice to import what is relevant and leave behind what is not. To take advantage of this functionality, you need to install the latest version of Telegram (version 7.4) from the App Store. With the app updated, follow the below steps to import your messages from WhatsApp:
Repeat the process for all of your remaining chats, and you’ll be set to use Telegram full time.
You have the option to import chats with or without the media and also all imported chats are labelled as “imported” with original and imported dates.
Telegram is making its best effort to up the game, and has added other various user-friendly features like, – “reporting of fake chats”, “volume adjustments” for individual voice chat participants, and much more.
Though WhatsApp assures that data privacy is not at stake, if the new privacy policies come into action and have currently delayed the application of the same. If you are a tad bit concerned about the safety of your data over WhatsApp consider “Telegram”, it is growing fast and looks promising so far.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". “Godzilla Vs. Kong” is one the most awaited blockbuster for 2021, and after almost a year delay due to pandemic – we finally have the release date as 26th March. These two behemoths are the king of their own world, – and framing their face-off can’t be an easy challenge even for directors like Adam Wingard and the top studio Warner Brothers.
After watching the first complete trailer, I must say there is a lot going on – And it’s truly a pack of fire, thrilling roar, Kong’s special bond with a human child, explosion all over the place and the background sound is just outstanding.
Here is the synopsis of the film stated by Warner Brothers Pictures and Legendary Pictures: – Legends collide in “Godzilla vs. Kong” as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.”
HBOMax (US Only) will have the exclusive streaming available for “Godzilla vs. Kong” on March 26. However, I would suggest fans to experience these two powerful beasts smacking each other to make a balance on the planet earth, – only in IMAX.
The film has an impressive cast, and here is the list of key actors with some of their work titles: Alexander Skarsgård (“Big Little Lies”), – Millie Bobby Brown (“Stranger Things”), – Rebecca Hall (“Christine”), – Brian Tyree Henry (“Joker”), – Shun Oguri (“Weathering with You”), – Eiza González (“Fast & Furious”), and many more. The film was produced by Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, Jon Jashni, Thomas Tull and Brian Rogers, with Jay Ashenfelter, Herbert W. Gains, Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira executive producing.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". This article is published on www.theoutwrite.com by Varun Singh Rajput. The tension between Australia’s federal government and the tech giant Google continue to tighten over the newly proposed media code.
As per the “Pay for News” law, Google will have to pay the news publishers for there content which would lead to major revenue loss for the company. Following this, they have threatened to block the search engine services for entire Australia.
“If this version of the Code were to become law it would give us no real choice but to stop making Google Search available in Australia,” Google Australia and New Zealand VP Mel Silva told Australia’s Senate Economics Legislation Committee today.
The proposed code of conduct has been drawn up by the consumer-rights team at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and orchestrates the tech giants such as Google and Facebook on how to share the revenue generated from using content produced by all the news platforms.
As per Google, part of the proposed code would require them to pay media organizations for showing links and snippets to news stories in its search results.
In a video statement posted to YouTube, Silva says this requirement goes against how Google Search functions, and that “paying for links breaks the way search engines work”.
As per the VP, they have nothing against a new law but parts of the current proposed code is not at all healthy for there business.
“This provision in the code would set an untenable precedent for our business, and the digital economy,” she said in a statement.
In response to Google’s statements made in the Senate, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has shot back, stating in a press conference today that the “we don’t respond to threats”.
Facebook is also in the ACCC’s radar with this particular law and similarly threatens to block there news sharing in Australia, too. Both companies are calling these blockages a “worst-case” scenario.
Well let’s see where this leads to, are they going to find a way to mitigate this situation or are up for war?

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". This article is published on www.theoutwrite.com by Varun Singh Rajput. Telegram founder Pavel Durov has shared a post on his public channel regarding the enforcement action to shut down violence provoking calls in the US. We have just witnessed political riots in the United States and rising tension over the past few weeks. The attack on the US Capitol was an eye-opener for most of many tech giants in the world to reform their terms of service to avoid distributing violence calls in any form.
“For the last two weeks, the world has been following the events in the United States with concern. While the US represents less than 2% of our user base, we at Telegram have also been watching the situation closely.”, said Pavel Durov.
However, Telegram has become the first choice for tech and cybersecurity folks and it’s good to see the proactive measure this platform took to shut down as much as violence threats possible. Pavel Durov states on Telegram channel, “Telegram welcomes peaceful debate and protest, but our Terms of Service explicitly prohibit distributing public calls to violence. In the last 7 years, we’ve consistently enforced this rule globally, from Belarus and Iran to Thailand and Hong Kong. Сivil movements all over the world rely on Telegram in order to stand up for human rights without resorting to inflicting harm.”
He also added, ” In early January, the Telegram moderation team started to receive an increased number of reports about US-related public activity on our platform. The team acted decisively by clamping down on US channels that advocated violence.
Thanks to these efforts, last week our moderators blocked and shut down hundreds of public calls for violence that could’ve otherwise reached tens of thousands of subscribers. The team continues to process reports from users in addition to proactively removing content that directly incites violence.
I would like to thank everyone who reported public channels that crossed the line. Keep it up! We value each of your reports. Telegram welcomes political debate coming from all sides of the political spectrum – but will act swiftly to stop those who incite people to inflict harm on others.”
In the current time, the responsibility of services like Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp becomes really crucial towards society.
Due to a sudden change in WhatsApp privacy policy, other platforms like Signal and Telegram have seen a sudden spike in the registered users. It’s massive that Signal servers’ could handle the load and went inaccessible for more than 24 hours. It clearly states that users all over the world are more concerned about their data and the flow of information.
Parler the social media platform led by John Matze was suspended by Amazon keeping the allegations in mind that Trump supporters and far-right extremists organized US Capital on Jan’6 using this platform. Apple and Google also removed Parler’s app from the store once the evidence came out supporting the above allegations.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". This article is published on www.theoutwrite.com by Varun Singh Rajput. T-Mobile founded in 1990 is a 2nd largest Telecommunications company in the US after its merge with Sprint in the recent past. The company has over 140 millions customers in the United States hence data security is one of the prime challenges to deal with in today’s time. Why did I say challenge? Because T-Mobile just announced a second data breach last year.
As per the company, hackers couldn’t access any financial details but unauthorized access did take place related to the T-Mobile account. The data breach could’ve impacted customer proprietary information (CPNI) which would include a number of lines subscribed, phone number, call related information etc.
Matt Staneff, CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) at T-Mobile Issued a statement regarding the security incident, “Our Cybersecurity team recently discovered and shut down malicious, unauthorized access to some information related to your T-Mobile account. We immediately started an investigation, with assistance from leading cybersecurity forensics experts, to determine what happened and what information was involved. We also immediately reported this matter to federal law enforcement and are now in the process of notifying impacted customers.”
The company emphasis multiple times that the hackers couldn’t access credit card information, financial data, social security numbers, Tax ID, passwords or PINs, physical or email addresses, names.
Such security incidents at cell giant like T-Mobile raise a valid serious question on the customers’ data privacy. A company worth over $70 billion with such a huge customer base after a well-known merge with Sprint (completed in 2020), – isn’t able to secure their customers’ data. These are repetitive instances, and it might challenge users’ trust in the company. I am sure T-Mobile is taking all the necessary steps to level up the cybersecurity and avoid any kind of data breach in future.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". This article is published on www.theoutwrite.com by Varun Singh Rajput. Apple introduced the world with its home-built M1 Chip (ARM-based processor) powering MacBook Air, Pro and Mac Mini. The event had multiple instances talking about how the new processor is better than Intel. To be honest there are some big claims Apple made in terms of performance and efficiency.
The M1 processor is the first Apple Silicon chip for the Mac family which seems to have a major boost on papers for now and surely in the real world too. We might need to wait for a couple of days to comment on the actual performance of the MacBook line up.
Let’s talk about the new 13-inch MacBook Pro for now which looks pretty identical to the previous intel models however internal upgrades and claims which sound too good to be true. Apple says the new MacBook Pro has 2.8x faster CPU performance and with the M1 8-core GPU it’s 5x faster. The price starts $1,299 as the existing line-up and shipping will start from 17th of November 2020.
Apple mentions, “There has never been a chip like M1, our breakthrough SoC for the Mac. It builds on more than a decade of designing industry-leading chips for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, and ushers in a whole new era for the Mac,” said Johny Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Technologies. “When it comes to low-power silicon, M1 has the world’s fastest CPU core, the world’s fastest integrated graphics in a personal computer, and the amazing machine learning performance of the Apple Neural Engine. With its unique combination of remarkable performance, powerful features, and incredible efficiency, M1 is by far the best chip we’ve ever created.”
In terms of efficiency, battery life has got a whooping improvement as the number shows – 18 hours of wireless web browsing and 20 hours of video playback which is more than 10 hours of the current intel MacBook.
Apple has always shown strong control over hardware & software customization. It continues in the new Apple M1 chip MacBook Pro too. As everything in-built in the processor either it’s RAM or GPU – users don’t have the luxury to customize it. Hence, the suggestion would be choosing the right configuration at the time of purchase.
Apple M1 Chip 13-inch MacBook Pro has up to 16 GB memory and 2TB SSD storage available. Let me close it by sharing the “Behind the Mac – Greatness” clip. I kind of like it 🙂

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". This article is published on www.theoutwrite.com by Varun Singh Rajput. LG’s new active noise cancellation earbuds which are Tone Free HBS-FN7 true wireless got launched in South Korea and even available for the purchase over there. It has bacteria-killing UV charging case, which I found an interesting concept to include. The company claims, that it can kill up to 99.9% of bacteria on the speaker mesh. It does sound useful in the given scenario of COVID-19, not sure how much it actually is in reality.
The earphones are set to launch in North America, Europe and Asia in the last quarter of 2020. For now, LG HBS-FN7 costs around 14000 rupees in INR which is slightly higher than the price of FN6 (11,000 rupees).
LG’s latest TONE Free HBS-FN7 looks pretty similar to the FN6 launched earlier this year in terms of design. However, the company states more fit in-ear, clear, more bass, in-depth sound and effective ‘ANC’.
It looks promising as LG partners with Meridian which is a very respected brand in audio solutions. The company has used digital signal processing of Meridian to deliver high-resolution audio. You can play around with equalizer settings too, it’ll help you to achieve the sound you prefer.
LG HBS-FN7 has all the features you can expect from a flagship true wireless earphones. The IPX4 water-resistant to save it from water splashes or rain, fast charging, active noise cancellation, lossless packing from Meridian, UVnano case which disinfects itself, Bluetooth 5.1 etc. There are 3 microphones in each earbud to have better noise cancelation, call quality and much-enhanced music quality.

Welcome to "The Outwrite Podcast". This article is published on www.theoutwrite.com by Varun Singh Rajput. James Bond Film “No Time to Die” wouldn’t be on any major streaming services like Apple TV+, Netflix etc. Despite the fact, that movie was up for sale with a price tag of $600 million. The release date of the film has been delayed twice already due to the pandemic. MGM studio which has the rights for James Bond film already faced a loss of $30 -$50 million in this year because of delay.
James Bond is a huge brand, and the studio behind – MGM doesn’t want to compromise with its rights of course. As the report suggests, that the studio has tried to explore the possibility to sell the rights to a major streaming service instead of delaying the released date multiple times.
According to Variety, “It’s unclear if producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who exert control of the series through their company Eon, would sign off on the deal. Universal Pictures, which has foreign distribution rights to “No Time to Die,” would have to be made whole in any possible sale and reimbursed for any expenses the studio incurred. That the parties involved would explore a streaming sale is notable, given that the film was the first tentpole to move release dates before coronavirus was upgraded to a global pandemic — making it an early indicator that even the iconic spy and ladies man would not save us from the viral event.”
Apple is the most valuable company on this planet, and possibly they could afford the price too. But investing 10% of their yearly budget ($6 Billion) on one film, wouldn’t be a good business strategy. Likely, Netflix invests close to $19 billion yearly to acquire n number of licenses for movies, series, documentaries etc.
“We do not comment on rumours. The film is not for sale. The film’s release has been postponed until April 2021 in order to preserve the theatrical experience for moviegoers,” an MGM spokesperson told Variety.
Most probably Major streaming services don’t align with the expectation of MGM in terms of James Bond valuation as a brand. We need to also consider the fact that the film costs around $250 million to the studio. Hence, asking for $600 million for the file license to avoid the loses and cover a decent profit.
Apple TV+ is the newest player in the streaming services, and without any doubt has the most reach in terms of money. The company early this year acquired Tom Hanks movie Greyhound with a price tag of $70 million from Sony.

October 13, 2020 – Apple has pinned the date to announce iPhone 12 through a virtual live stream event at 10:30 PM IST (10:00 AM EST). As soon as, I received the invitation couple of days back, what brought my attention was “Hi, Speed”. It clearly indicates a launch of 5G enabled iPhones for sure. The hint could also be related to data transfer or communication among apple devices to improve Apple Eco System.
Apple releases iPhones line up always in September, but due to pandemic, the production chain was badly damaged as China had to shut down factories including Foxconn. However, The company managed to host WWDC 2020 event in September, despite the chaos going around. The event was limited to iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple One subscription service – no iPhone talk.
As I mentioned earlier, Foxconn is running 24 hours operation model to meet the iPhone 12 production tight deadlines. COVID 19 pandemic has caused a major delay in the production and supply chain.
The circumstances forced Apple to push the launch of the iPhone in October, which never happened in past. However, it’s acceptable after evaluating the crisis all the businesses are facing at this point in time.
Now what to expect in terms of iPhone 2020 event? – I would say 4 models as mentioned below are likely to launch in the upcoming event. The prices are expected to be in the same range as last year.
In India, iPhone 12 pro and 12 Pro Max base model will cost around Rs 100,000 & Rs 110,000 respectively. Except for iPhone 12 and Pro which have preorders date in the same week of launch, Apple fans would need to wait for rest of the lineup. The iPhone Mini and 12 Pro Max are likely to start preorders in the coming month of November – most probably in the first week or mid of the month. And Yes! I am also hopeful for 120Hz display in the Pro Max model as one of the exclusive features for ultimate users.

Google Duo has enabled long-awaited feature “Screen Sharing” for video calls after investing more than 2 years to make it possible and secure. Baris Gultekin, Director of Product Management for Google Assistant shared six major Google features for Android, accessible to even older versions.
Android Police was one of the first one to report this feature back in September. Google tweeted, “Share more moments with your friends on Google Duo. Now you can use screen-sharing to browse photos and videos together, and plan activities all while on a video call.”
In the recent product updates released, Google focused on the expansion of Google Assistant adoption. The company shows all the useful ways to incorporate “Hey Google” in your daily life. Baris Gultekin says, “Your Android phone comes with Google Assistant, and now you can ask it to open or search across Android apps. Try saying “Hey Google, send snap with Cartoon Lens” or “Hey Google, log a berry smoothie on MyFitnessPal.” We’ve partnered with many of the top apps on Google Play including Walmart, Mint, Spotify, Etsy, and Discord, to do specific tasks unique to those individual apps. Get started by saying, “Hey Google, show my shortcuts.”
The interesting one is Google’s Phone app which stops the spam calls in a unique manner. If you receive a call from an unknown number which seems suspicious, Google phone can answer by itself and ask who’s calling and why. It’ll save the response so you can check it later and take action accordingly. It’s amazing, isn’t it?
The company also announced Google TV which is replacing Google Play Movies & TV app. So far, it has all the features you can expect from an entertainment platform either showing a compact library or helping you find the content across other streaming apps.
Apart from that Google also integrated two more features. “Sound notifications” in case of hearing loss or while using headphones. Another one is about the “Action Blocks” to make communication easy for people suffering from cognitive disabilities and age-related conditions. The company states, “It acts as an artificial voice for people with cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, autism, aphasia, and other speech-related disabilities. In addition, Action Blocks now incorporates thousands of Picture Communication Symbols from Tobii Dynavox, making it easier to use the Android app alongside existing speech therapy and special education materials. It also now supports Japanese, French, German, and Italian.”

Unreal Engine doesn’t need an introduction, especially in the gaming industry. Major game titles like Gears of Wars, Infinity Blade, Remake, Final Fantasy VII and Fornite, have Unreal Engine behind the scenes powering up the industry-leading graphics. Now, It can be used to design GMC Hummer EV HMI, infotainment, and digital cockpit.
For users who don’t know, “Unreal Engine is a complete suite of development tools for anyone working with real-time technology. From design visualizations and cinematic experiences to high-quality games across PC, console, mobile, VR, and AR, Unreal Engine gives you everything you need to start, ship, grow, and stand out from the crowd.”
Epic Games hasn’t commented or shown anything on HMI for GMC Hummer EV, however, the company promised to reveal more on October 20, 2020, when Hummer electric truck would be launched. As per the tweet, we can see the hashtag #UE4 which clearly indicates the usage of Unreal Engine 4 in GMC Hummer EV.
While explaining the features of Unreal Engine which led this partnership, the company states, “We are actively implementing HMI-specific features in Unreal Engine—and there are a number HMI workflows you can leverage right now. In some production vehicles, HMIs take 10 seconds or more to load. Significant improvements have been made to HMI startup processes in Unreal Engine, enabling it to boot extremely quickly. Content that is not needed at startup can be loaded after the initial boot, reducing boot time even further. It provides best-in-class visuals for production HMI, with car paint materials and reflections that bring the highest quality real-time graphics to the vehicle. Designers also have the opportunity to work with various automotive material and shaders that extend themselves to mobile HMI.”
Epic quotes “Designing better HMI experiences”, to explain it further, company mentions:
“Our dedicated HMI team believes that designers who are better enabled to execute on their vision and design are best equipped to create compelling in-car experiences. Likewise, we believe that engineers who are freed up to work on critical high-value technical features can provide more value to the product itself. All of this adds up to better user experience. We’re making this easier to achieve than ever by forming new alliances with HMI technology leaders including BlackBerry QNX, Mapbox, Qualcomm, Siili Auto, and Vectorform.”
Unreal Engine has numerous possibilities when it comes to designing, and surely the same capabilities would enhance the overall digital cockpit experience through newly crafted infotainment and HMI initiative.
Here is the Unreal Engine’s video of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) initiative in Automotive:

Instagram marks the 10th anniversary by introducing new anti-bullying features to reduce the negative interactions along with bullying and harassment, in comments. 6th of October, 2010, Instagram was launched as a photo-sharing app.
The new anti-bullying feature includes comment warning which advises people to reconsider their comments which don’t fall under Community Guidelines. It doesn’t end here, the new warning clearly states that “If your comments go against our Community Guidelines, your account may be deleted”. It also hides inappropriate comments automatically.
Instagram calls it “National Bullying Prevention Month” that’s why such anti-bullying features are getting enhanced. The company said in the announcement, “As we kick off National Bullying Prevention Month, we’re announcing two new features to reduce negative interactions, including bullying and harassment, in comments. Bullying is a challenge many face, especially young people who are already dealing with additional pressures brought on by COVID-19. While the world has certainly changed this year, our commitment to leading the industry in the fight against online bullying remains a priority.”
Instagram has seen the noticeable decrease in the negative interactions since the warning feature in comments and captions was introduced. Now, expanding the warning with the possibility of deletion the account of defaulters could be a strong addition.
The company also shared the usage and impact of the restrict feature: “More than 35 million Instagram accounts are using or have used Restrict since it launched last October, ensuring they can safely control their Instagram experience; a majority of the negative interactions they were receiving from a bully are now hidden.
According to The Verge, ” As part of the celebrations, Instagram has added an easter egg that lets you revisit its old app icons on iOS and Android. It can be accessed by doing a long swipe down on the settings menu, after which the old app icons can be brought back into active duty. The social media platform also launches the photo map feature and a new monthly calendar view of stories. It allows you to track all the locations of stories posted. The new map and calendar feature for the archived stories is a much better way to view the timeline and search for old archived stories. It’ll be visible to you only due to the nature of this feature introduced as private view. You can access this new photo map and calendar view feature under ‘archive’ in your user profile.

Twitter has been accused of double standards as soon as the company announced a policy to remove tweets with wishing death, or any fatal disease against anyone. It included tweets who wished that President Donald Trump doesn’t recover from COVID-19 or some even wished death.
Twitter clearly stated, ” Tweets that wish or hope for death, serious bodily harm or fatal disease against anyone are not allowed and will need to be removed. This does not automatically mean suspension.”
None of us would be in favour of such tweets for anyone, then the question is: Why Twitter faces backlash over such ban.
Some of the users have shown disappointment claiming that Twitter failed to protect women and many other minorities who faced such death wishes and threats in past. The platform didn’t take any strict action at that point in time.
Twitter Rules have this policy in detailed under Abusive Behavior, which says:
“Wishing or hoping serious harm on a person or group of people"
We do not tolerate content that wishes, hopes or expresses a desire for death, serious bodily harm or fatal disease against an individual or group of people. This includes, but is not limited to:
Aunty Malorie Blackman, the author of Noughts & Crosses series, tweeted: ” Weeks of death threats
Weeks of death threats and serious threats against my family when I was children’s laureate resulted in Twitter doing bugger all about it.
Emily Dreyfuss, Senior Editor at Shorenstein Center said in a tweet: “Now that this rule is so public, you might want to get a team to go through and remove all the “I hope Obama dies” that are still up on the site, along with threats to Clinton, etc., not to mention against so many women whose names I couldn’t search individually.” Thanks for your time, please share your valuable feedback & comments - our email address is: hello@theoutwrite.com.

Apple recently announced iPad Air 4 with A14 Bionic chip comprises 64-bit architecture. It’s the first device revealed in 2020 carrying A14 chip, and we expect the same chip in iPhone 12 and upcoming Apple TV.
Recently shared benchmark results of iPad Air 4 by one of the Twitter users, give us the performance range we can expect from upcoming devices. As tweeted by Ice Universe The single GeekBench 5 scores for iPad 13,2 is 1583 single-core and 4198 multi-score. The results also show the motherboard number J308AP which is the cellular version of iPad Air 4.
As compared to A12 chip from iPad Air 3 it could be an impressive upgrade. The iPad Air (3rd generation) Geekbench test, had 1112 in single-core and 2832 in multi-core. Now if you compare these results side by side, it shows that A14 Bionic chip has 42% better performance in single-core and 48% in multi-core from the previous-generation iPad Air.
I compared these results with iPhone 11 which is powered up with A13 Bionic chip to have more fair idea. Apple A13 Bionic chip Geekbench Benchmark gives us a slightly better number than A12 of course. iPhone 11 (A13) scored 1327 in single-core and 3286 in multi-core. In other words, A14 Chip is 20% in single-core and 28% faster in multi-core over here.
Now, we have much better data to sense the performance upgrade from iPhone 11 pro to iPhone 12 pro. The 20 – 28% boost may not be a deciding factor for many iPhone users to upgrade their devices. However, it’s still a noticeable difference and I expect iPhone 12 pro to have a more powerful version of A14 Bionic chip than what we see in iPad Air 4.
If we are talking about performances, iPad Pro 2020 can’t be missed. The latest iPad Pro has A12Z chip which performs better than A14 Bionic chip but only in multi-core with 4644 scores. The reason is clear as it runs on 8 cores, as compared 6 cores A14 Bionic chip in iPad Air 4. The single-core score of A12Z chip is 1119, which is 10% slower. In case you want to compare A14 Bionic chip Geekbench test results with other devices, here is the link which has all the single, multi and metal-score listed. Now, we have much better data to sense the performance upgrade from iPhone 11 pro to iPhone 12 pro. The 20 – 28% boost may not be a deciding factor for many iPhone users to upgrade their devices. Mercedes-Benz Stadium has decided to use a couple of drones to sanitize some of the key areas to welcome back fans. The stadium leadership partnered with Charlotte-based Lucid Drone Technologies to have specially designed cleaning drones. Upcoming October 11 home game against Carolina Panthers will be the debut for D1 disinfecting drone provided by Lucid Drone Technologies towards sanitization process.
Due to COVID 19 pandemic, such technologies are required to disinfect larger areas like sports stadiums which have sometimes over 100,000 capacity. It’s a lengthy process and demands a big ground staff just to spray medical-grade chemicals. D1 disinfecting drones optimize the efforts by 95% and reduce the risk of human infection as no ground staff has to be there physically to sanitize it. These drones are 14 times faster than backpack sprays.
AMB Sports and Entertainment, COO, Dietmar Exler states, “The process of welcoming fans back involves actively listening and responding to their concerns and we understand that proper cleaning and sanitization protocols are top of mind in the current environment. We have worked tirelessly to provide a safe environment for not only our associates, players and staff, but especially our fans.”
Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a large one that carries 71,000 seater capacity, hence making drones part of their cleaning and sanitization program – would be a good step. It’s the first professional sports stadium incorporating drone technology.
The stadium home website shares a post talking about the precautions authorities have incorporated along with drones technologies to reduce the risk of any infection. Fans who decide to come back, covering the face and following social distancing are mandatory. There would be 600 hand sanitizing dispensers all around the building, but still, we are unclear on the exact count of fans would be allowed to attend.
Jackie Poulakos, Manager, Building Operations, “This stadium is incredibly large and as we begin to slowly welcome fans back, these drones allow us to maximize the time between games and private events to thoroughly sanitize. We are always challenged by leadership to continually innovate and this new technology is the ideal solution to effectively disinfect and sanitize our stadium in an efficient manner.”

With the release of Apple macOS Big Sur, Safari will have the capability of streaming Netflix in 4K HDR. When I heard it, I was too excited despite the fact I have a big enough (65-inch) 4K Smart TV in my living room, still, it’s good to have Netflix enabled with 4K HDR option on your MacBook Pro.
For now, I am running macOS Big Sur Public Beta 9 till the time we don’t have actual one released later this year. I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017 model, and as an over-excited enthusiast I wanted to test the latest look and feel asap, so decided to go for beta versions. One of the main capabilities, I wanted to go with, was streaming Netflix in 4K HDR on my MacBook Pro.
My experience hasn’t been really good with the beta versions, hence prefer Public Beta always which are more stable in nature. All the excitement and hours of wait, went in hell the moment I realized that Safari isn’t streaming Netflix in 4K HDR.
It didn’t make me much time to find out the cause. According to Netflix, only 2018 or later Mac with an Apple T2 Security Chip will be able to run Ultra HD content. Either you own a MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, MacBook Air, iMac or iMac Pro, it has to be a recent model. Going with the specific no later than 2018, so 2 years old or less Mac Device would work.
In case, you want to validate your Mac, click on Apple logo (left top corner) > System Information. From the left sidebar select “Controller” or “iBridge” – if you see “Apple T2 chip” you are good to go.
Netflix hasn’t shared any technical reason on the mandatory requirement of Apple T2 Security Chip. Let’s hear from Apple first about the chip, “The Apple T2 Security Chip is Apple’s second-generation, custom silicon for Mac. By redesigning and integrating several controllers found in other Mac computers—such as the System Management Controller, image signal processor, audio controller, and SSD controller—the T2 chip delivers new capabilities to your Mac. For example, the T2 chip enables a new level of security by including a secure enclave coprocessor that secures Touch ID data and provides the foundation for new encrypted storage and secure boot capabilities. And the T2 chip’s image signal processor works with the FaceTime HD camera to enable enhanced tone mapping, improved exposure control, and face-detection–based autoexposure and auto white balance.”
Looking at the specifics, I am still not able to connect dots in terms of making T2 Security Chip mandatory for Mac Devices by Netflix to provide 4K content. Does it have to do anything with video codec? or does it work like a co-processor? – to stream high-resolution Netflix content on Mac.

Apple event talks are at peak now, especially the iPhone 12 series. The iPhone 12 line up is expected to have 4 models as iPhone 12, mini, iPhone 12 pro and Pro Max. We can expect the new pro series to start at 128GB as the base variant. So far leaks suggest that October 13 could be the launch date for the upcoming iPhone 12.
According to Jon Prosser, “Apple’s first shipment of final iPhone 12 units is going out to distributers on October 5th. The shipment includes: iPhone 12 mini (5.4 inch) and iPhone 12 (6.1 inch) with 64GB, 128 GB and 256GB storage variants. We can’t comment on 5G iPhone announcement, it may or may not be there. Jon Prosser has stated in past that the pre-orders for the upcoming iPhone 12 models will begin on October 16. This year we have four new iPhones to welcome instead of three as iPhone mini is a new addition. Apple stores are expected to have their iPhone devices stock on October 23.
The iPhone 12 series we are aware of so far, and it looks promising.
As I mentioned, a couple of days back that Foxconn the tech giant in china responsible for many major brands production lines, is pushing the production model to 24 hours operations with no holidays to meet with the tight deadlines. COVID 19 pandemic has caused a major delay in the production and supply chain.
However, Apple seems to be confident enough to meet the requirements except for a few hiccups like delaying Apple Event and pushing it to October 2020.

Twitter has relaunched the voice tweets feature along with transcripts to extend the accessibility. The company announced this experimental voice tweet feature early in June 2020 which had to face criticism over accessibility. The objective was to add a more human touch to the platform by motivating users to tweet voice recording.
The new feature didn’t go as planned in past due to the absence of closed captions which made it less accessible to users with a disability. Civil rights advocates and people with disabilities escalated this irresponsible initiative.
“At least the option of providing closed captions would make this more accessible” Matthew Cortland (Policy Analyst) tweeted. He is one of the first ones to point it out the issue in June 2020. However, Twitter tried to counter stating, ” Hey Matthew, this is an early version of this feature and we’re exploring ways to make these types of Tweets accessible to everyone”.
It seemed like that Twitter made their way out showing this as just an initial stage and modifications are expected. But, Cortland hits back factually which made it even worse for the company.
“The Americans With Disabilities Act was signed into law 30 years ago,” Matthew Cortland said. “Federal law requires accessibility from the start. You don’t, as a matter of civil rights law, get to roll out an inaccessible feature and then, only later, make it accessible.”
Twitter released a statement through a series of tweets,”
We’re sorry about testing voice Tweets without support for people who are visually impaired, deaf, or hard of hearing. It was a miss to introduce this experiment without this support. Accessibility should not be an afterthought. We’ve fixed several issues related to vision accessibility, including making voice Tweets identifiable on the timeline and making accessibility improvements to the voice Tweet experience. These updates will be available in a forthcoming iOS release.
We’re already exploring ideas for how we could support manual and auto transcriptions. We’re also looking at how we can build a dedicated group to focus on accessibility, tooling, and advocacy across all products, in partnership with the @TwitterA11y and @TwitterAble teams.
However, Twitter is rolling out voice tweets again after fixing all the issues including transcription for even videos too. For now, it’s only available on iOS devices. The company emphasizes that feedback was taken seriously and corrections have been made to make Twitter more accessible.

iPhone 12 production in China factory is operating with a new extensive model of running 24 hours operations includes non-avoidable overtime and no holidays. However, there are major bonuses and even 3 times their regular payout on holidays to keep it going.
The eight-day national holiday beginning on October 1, 2020, won’t be allotted this year – Foxconn employees have been asked to be in the factory. China is the backbone of the world supply chain in most of the items and the quick recovery of the country from COVID-19 wherein the rest of the world is still struggling – could be a good sign. However, this pandemic has raised an international approach to remove the supply chain dependency. Hence, many tech giants have decided to move out of China to set up their manufacturing units in other countries like India.
Now, iPhone 12 or the upcoming iPhone model as we are still not confirmed with the names – would have less time for assembly and distribution as compared to its predecessors.
South China Morning Post shared this story as in how Foxconn is trying to meet with the strong demand for Apple iPhone 12 in the coming few weeks.
According to the Hongkong based newspaper SCMP , “
Many employees have been asked to cancel upcoming holidays around the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day that fall this week to ensure timely delivery of the new iPhone, according to another worker who declined to be named
Employee Wang Guofeng said overtime work had increased since summer and most workers were allowed to take only four days off per month.
“You can earn 5,000 yuan to 6,000 yuan (US$880) per month, and if you work at the factory for more than 90 days, there’s a handsome amount of special pay,” said the 33-year-old who has worked at the factory for over four years.
Another employee surnamed Ma said the company had started night shifts, with production lines running 24 hours a day.
“We have been kept so busy for the past weeks because of the iPhone 12,” Ma said, referring to the new model that is expected to be unveiled next month.
Foxconn has issued a 10,000 yuan bonus for the joining and staying for at least 90 days to meet the extensive production goals before the Apple event. The factory needs more workforce to cover the manufacturing goals of the new iPhone models otherwise current workers would be investing more hours.
For now, there are 4 iPhone models mentioned below what we expect to be announced in the coming month.

Yes! Apple has finally revealed the date of Billie Eilish documentary film “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry” directed by filmmaker R.J.Cutler. It’s been more than 9 months Apple acquired this documentary but never said a word on the release date. It feels good to share that the film would hit theatres and Apple TV+ early next year in February 2021, the exact date yet to be known.
Billie Eilish doesn’t need an introduction, still few facts have to be highlighted that she is a 18 years old star American singer and songwriter. She got the attention through her songs “Ocean Eyes to SoundCloud in 2015 which was later released by the Interscope Records subsidiary Darkroom. However, she created a wave with her debut studio album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019) and became the best – performing album of 2019 in the US.
Eilish received 5 Grammy Awards, 2 American Music Awards, and 2 Guinness World Records, 3 MTV Video Music Awards and 1 Brit Award. The list doesn’t stop there, she has also won Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year – all in 2019. I think its more than enough to know why Apple decided to pay $25 million for Billie Eilish Documentary film.
The World’s A Little Blurry would be the second documentary based on a music artist or band after “Beastie Boys Story”
Apple shared a press release today, “Apple and Billie Eilish today announced that the highly anticipated documentary feature film, “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry,” directed by award-winning filmmaker R.J. Cutler (“Belushi,” “The September Issue,” “The War Room”), will premiere in theatres and on Apple TV+ in February 2021. The documentary is from Apple Original Films, in association with Interscope Films, Darkroom, This Machine and Lighthouse Management & Media.“
Apple also highlighted Billie Eilish’s key achievement some of them I have already covered, however, that’s what press release stated, “Darkroom/Interscope Records artist Billie Eilish released her groundbreaking debut album “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?” in 2019 and won Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at this year’s 62nd Grammy Awards in January, followed by her rousing performance of The Beatles’ “Yesterday” at the 92nd Oscars. This year also saw 18-year-old Eilish release her internationally hailed official James Bond theme song, “No Time To Die,” for the forthcoming MGM/Eon Productions James Bond motion picture.“

Uber has finally won the legal battle against Transport for London (TFS) to continue its operation in London. The regulator has shown major concerns against Uber-like a lack of corporate responsibility, which could lead to public safety and security implications.
TFL didn’t find Uber “fit and proper” to run a ride-hailing business model in London. Hence, on 22nd September 2017, the regulator decided not to renew the private hire operator license to Uber after the expiry of the current license on 30 September.
The assessment showed by TFL last year November 2019 showed that since 2012 when Uber entered the London market, it has been showing “a pattern of failures”. The main concern highlighted was that unauthorized people have access to upload their photos to legitimate driver accounts, and then allowed them to pick up passengers. It’s a huge flaw in the system and can be misused at multiple levels.
Uber of course disagreed with the assessment and challenged the decision of not issuing the new license run the operation in London. The court took the decision in Uber’s favour and issued a 15 months license in June 2018. Uber was given another 2 months extension in September 2019.
The decision has cleared the clouds for 45,000 drivers who use the taxi app in London.
According to BBC, Westminster Magistrates’ Court said Uber’s now a “fit and proper” operator “despite historical failings.” Deputy chief magistrate Tan Ikram also added that he took Uber’s “track-record of regulation breaches” into account but said it had made efforts to address failings and had improved standards. “Despite their historical failings, I find them, now, to be a fit and proper person to hold a London PHV [private hire vehicle] operator’s license,” he said.
The length of the new license yet to be decided by the magistrate along with the imposed conditions.
Transport for London revealed many security concerns in their press release in 2017. It stated, “TfL has concluded that Uber London Limited is not fit and proper to hold a private hire operator license.
TfL considers that Uber’s approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility in relation to a number of issues that have potential public safety and security implications. These include:

For some reasons, Amazon’s Law Enforcement request portal is partially visible to everyone on the web. It could be a bug, as the portal should only be accessed by law enforcement officers once they create an account with a verified email address and password.
The portal allows investigators to ask for customer data under non-emergency requests. Account registration is mandatory for law enforcement so Amazon can authenticate the officer’s credential prior to submit the formal request.
However, time-sensitive emergency requests don’t require an account or registration. The law enforcement officers need to “declare and acknowledge” to take the complete responsibility that they have the authorization as an officer to ask for customers data and create the request for the same.
Along with the formal requests federal agents need to submit a legal order such as a search warrant, a subpoena etc.
Amazon’s law enforcement portal doesn’t seem to be compromised, and there is no need to panic – basis what we have so far. The portal doesn’t allow the public or any user to access existing law enforcement requests or customers data in any form.
The only concern is the partial view access of the non-emergency request form to everyone, which should only be visible to law enforcement or federal agents after clearing the authentication layer.
The portal somehow has shared what kind of details (including Amazon Web Services) investigators can ask for, here are some listed down:
There are much more data points federal officers can collect details for through Amazon’s law enforcement portal. For now, Amazon hasn’t commented on this bug (most probably) reported by TechCrunch. We expect Amazon, and other major tech giants like Facebook, Google, Twitter to be more sensitive for their law enforcement portals by restricting access to the public in any form to avoid any misuse.

‘Read Before You Retweet’ prompt is a new effort from Twitter to have a validated content spread, and to reduce fake & harmful information all around on its platform.
The company expects users to read the complete article or content before sharing it further. “People open articles 40% more often after seeing the prompt” the company tweeted on Thursday. These are some of the early analysis and results from Android users. In addition, Twitter also mentioned that Some people didn’t end up RTing after opening the article – which is fine! Some Tweets are best left in drafts. (Just a comment)
According to Twitter, if there is more informed tweeting, People opening article before retweeting gets increased by 33%. It does make a huge difference and kind of key step forward if we think of stopping misleading headlines or tweets.
In June’2020, the company announced it initially and informed all the users in a tweet explaining the objective and importance at some level, “Sharing an article can spark conversation, so you may want to read it before you Tweet it. To help promote informed discussion, we’re testing a new prompt on Android –– when you Retweet an article that you haven’t opened on Twitter, we may ask if you’d like to open it first.”
“It’s easy for links/articles to go viral on Twitter. This can be powerful but sometimes dangerous, especially if people haven’t read the content they’re spreading. This feature (on Android for now) encourages people to read a linked article prior to Retweeting it, Kayvon Beykpour, product Lead at Twitter.
He also stated in a tweet, “We recently experimented with a “nudge” that encourages people to read linked articles before Retweeting them if we notice they haven’t. We were encouraged by the results and are sharing our learnings Below. We’ll be rolling this out globally soon!”
Once you have seen the prompt it’ll be smaller next time onwards as you saw it already – relief may be. Twitter has been testing many features like the one “Read Before You Retweet” we just spoke about to make this platform more authentic and healthy. I would call it another strong initiative from a responsible online platform.

Facebook will deny all the political ads hosted by either Donald Trump or Joe Biden spreading any misinformation and announcing victory before the results of the 2020 election come out in public.
September 3, 2020 – Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted that “We’re going to block new political and issue ads during the final week of the campaign. It’s important that campaigns can run get out the vote campaigns, and I generally believe the best antidote to bad speech is more speech, but in the final days of an election, there may not be enough time to contest new claims. So in the week before the election, we won’t accept new political or issue ads. Advertisers will be able to continue running ads they started running before the final week and adjust the targeting for those ads, but those ads will already be published transparently in our Ads Library so anyone, including fact-checkers and journalists, can scrutinize them.”
The objective of policy update in early September to rule out any possibility of election interference using Facebook. The role of social media in elections has been questioned time and again, however, such steps would ensure the fairness at some level.
The policy update also confirmed that Facebook would apply an “informational label” to posts raise questions or doubts about the legitimacy of the U.S election. The posts claiming victory before the official results are outfall for the same label.
Mark Zuckerberg in September 3 blog post also mentioned that “It’s important to recognize that there may be legitimate concerns about the electoral process over the coming months. We want to make sure people can speak up if they encounter problems at the polls or have been prevented from voting, but that doesn’t extend to spreading misinformation. We’ll enforce the policies I outlined above as well as all our existing policies around voter suppression and voting misinformation, but to ensure there are clear and consistent rules, we are not planning to make further changes to our election-related policies between now and the official declaration of the result. The Department of Justice issued a press release through the office of public affairs to share the outcome of Operation DisrupTor. It’s a massive global dark web takedown resulted of over $6.5 million in cash and virtual currencies, 500 kilograms of drugs worldwide & 63 firearms. It has much more to add 274 kilograms of drugs, including oxycodone, hydrocodone, fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA, and other medicine containing addictive substances in the ~~United States~~.
Operation DisrupTor led by a coordinated international effort to eliminate opioid trafficking on the Darknet has 179 dark web drug traffickers behind the bars. The DOJ is still investigating the matter and expecting more online drug traffickers to be found out. Out of 179 arrests who sold illicit goods and services across the United States and Europe, 121 were found in the US, 42 from Germany, 4 in the UK, 8 in the Netherlands, 3 in Austria and 1 from Sweden.
“Criminals selling fentanyl on the Darknet should pay attention to Operation DisrupTor,” said Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen. “The arrest of 179 of them in seven countries—with the seizure of their drug supplies and their money as well—shows that there will be no safe haven for drug dealing in cyberspace.”
In the press release, the office of public affairs (DOJ) has also stated that “Darknet vendor accounts were identified and attributed to real individuals selling illicit goods on Darknet market sites such as AlphaBay, Dream, WallStreet, Nightmare, Empire, White House, DeepSea, Dark Market and others. By leveraging complementary partnerships and surging resources across the U.S. government and Europol, Operation DisrupTor was used to significantly disrupt the online opioid trade and send a strong message that criminals operating on the Darknet are not beyond the reach of law enforcement.”
Operation Disruptor started way back in May 2019 when German police seized Wall Street Market, known as one of the biggest and popular underground marketplaces of dark web drug. This operation was a joint effort of the Department of Justice, the Joint Criminal Opioid and Darknet Enforcement (JCODE).
DEA Acting Administrator Timothy J. Shea said in a statement “The 21st century has ushered in a tidal wave of technological advances that have changed the way we live. But as technology has evolved, so too have the tactics of drug traffickers. Riding the wave of technological advances, criminals attempt to further hide their activities within the dark web through virtual private networks and tails, presenting new challenges to law enforcement in the enduring battle against illegal drugs. Operation DisrupTor demonstrates the ability of DEA and our partners to outpace these digital criminals in this ever-changing domain, by implementing innovative ways to identify traffickers attempting to operate anonymously and disrupt these criminal enterprises.”

YouTube expands the usage of machine learning to highlight more videos that inappropriate or may require age-restrictions. The company has used Artificial Intelligence-powered technology in past to down extremism violent, hate speech videos.
The automated process of labelling age restriction will flag way more videos than a YouTube human team who used to regulate it till now. YouTube has faced a lot of criticism for not being a safe platform for kids due to the loopholes in age restrictions policy regulatory. It has also been penalized with a record $170 million penalty for collecting Kids data without notifying parents in any form. YouTube Kids catered some of the challenges though, but much more efforts required to make it safer.
YouTube is the biggest video online platform with 2 billion-plus monthly users. It’s impossible to check the compliance of each video manually, hence executives decided to apply machine learning to enforce regulation of age-restriction content. However, the company also acknowledges more errors while judging the content as technology is not mature enough to give us 100% filtration.
YouTube said, “Today, our Trust & Safety team applies age-restrictions when, in the course of reviewing content, they encounter a video that isn’t appropriate for viewers under 18. Going forward, we will build on our approach of using machine learning to detect content for review, by developing and adapting our technology to help us automatically apply age-restrictions."
One of the challenges was YouTube videos embedded on 3rd party websites which could surpass the age-restriction and available for kids less than 13 years. However, as a moderation, these videos would be redirected to YouTube to sign in and verify the age before being accessible.
In the recent blog, YouTube posted, “Going forward, we will build on our approach of using machine learning to detect content for review, by developing and adapting our technology to help us automatically apply age-restrictions. Uploaders can appeal the decision if they believe it was incorrectly applied. For creators in the YouTube Partner Program, we expect these automated age-restrictions to have little to no impact on revenue, as most of these videos also violate our advertiser-friendly guidelines and therefore have limited or no ads.”
YouTube has also indicated the regulations extend including a few additional steps of the age verification process in the’s European Union’s Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD). The Company stated, “As part of this process some European users may be asked to provide additional proof of age when attempting to watch mature content. If our systems are unable to establish that a viewer is above the age of 18, we will request that they provide a valid ID or credit card to verify their age. We’ve built our age-verification process in keeping with Google’s Privacy and Security Principles.”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to a tweet on Friday, stating that Tesla Two-Factor authentication for Tesla is embarrassingly late. However, the second part of the tweet ensures that it’s in the final state and would be coming soon.
Tesla’s 2FA was expected last year wherein Elon Musk mentioned while responding to the Twitter user in 2019. He clearly said that Tesla’s making foundational upgrades to the core Tesla corporate Operating System. And consumers can expect two-factor authentication right after that.
It’s been more than a year, and still, there are no official statements around the timeline of 2FA. Tesla vehicles are the most advanced and known as anti-theft due to the loaded security features. Incorporating two-factor authentication would be another milestone for Tesla.
The company powers up Tesla users with as many advanced features as possible through Tesla mobile app. Even newer vehicle models of the company, allow consumers to use their smartphones as a key when Bluetooth is enabled. The app has functions to lock and unlock the car remotely, access the HVAC system, control charging, etc.
Two-factor authentication would be another powerful security feature the company can gift to their customers. Once it’s enabled, the owner has to authenticate himself with a password along with a device like a phone, or authenticator app – which could be SMS.
Elon Musk’s tweet, which was in response to Twitter follower’s question “Sorry, this is embarrassingly late. Two-factor authentication via SMS or authenticator app is going through final validation right now.”
Evaluating Musk’s tweet consumers can expect two-factor authentication soon for Tesla vehicles out there. But, we had seen commitment in Musk’s tweet last year too.
I believe the best we can do for now is wait for an official statement to release.

Monday, 22nd of June’20 (10:00 AM PDT) Apple WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) 2020 Keynote would take place as a big online show as far as I expect. There are major tech events got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic like Google I/O.
Most of the companies do not have the required material or supply and workforce to launch their product in a timely fashion. It’s happening all around the world, however, some of the services in tech companies able to survive just because of the work nature which can be handled remotely. Hence, Work From Home (WFH) what these companies have been promoting already for a long time – ensuring their survival in this phase.
Despite the pandemic, Apple ensured the market that there won’t be a delay in their product line. Apple WWDC 2020 is expected to be a big digital event with great software upgrade announcements like iOS14, iPadOS 14, WatchOS 7, TvOS 14, etc. It’s not over yet, we have more products line up like Apple TV 4K, transitioning Mac from Intel to ARM, expected an upgrade in iMac too.
Announcing the software and releasing, it is manageable at some level. But when it comes to hardware like ARM Macs, Apple TV 4K, there are challenges Apple as a company has to level up with. Due to the lockdown in most of the countries around the globe, production and supply chain has faced serious damages would take a while to cover up. Apple’s major hub is Foxconn in terms of production, and it’s in China wherein this Pandemic started. However, Foxconn has started the production with the 50% workforce capacity – still meeting the deadlines would be a miracle at this stage.
Based on rumours, here is what all we can expect to be unveiled at WWDC 2020:
In the last couple of days, we have seen another spike of COVID-19 cases in China. it might be a call for another lock-down over there we don’t know. However, it’s Apple one of the biggest companies in the world, and they must have figured this all out at some level. Tim Cook took a step ahead in the direction, by decentralizing their production line and supply chain rather sticking to a single point failure which is Foxconn right now for many companies out there including Apple. There are talks shifting a noticeable share of the production to other countries like India to be future proof in a pandemic situation like this. You can use the below link to view the WWDC 2020 live on June 22 at 10:00 AM PDT.

The war between US President Donald J. Trump and Social Media companies has been around for quite some time. We have witnessed multiple incidents in recent weeks clearly signing that it’s not going to be over soon. Twitter labels another tweet of Donald Trump as “manipulated media” contains a doctorate video.
Early today, the Trump campaign was taken down by Facebook due to the use of Nazi Symbol. According to the statement, It violates the company ads policy by incorporating any hate speech or symbol.
Twitter also mentioned,” Multiple Journalists confirmed that the video, which was shared by President Trump, is edited and features a fake CNN Chyron. The original CNN story, which is from 2019, reported on a friendship between two toddlers.”
As highlighted before, Team Trump campaign got removed as it wasn’t aligned with the Facebook Advertising Policies. The campaign details can be found in the Facebook ads library too. The ad was all about Mobs destroying public properties, and rioting and against ANTIFA.
Here is the campaign posted by Team Trump: “Dangerous MOBS of far-left groups are running through our streets and causing absolute mayhem. They are DESTROYING our cities and rioting – it’s absolute madness.
It’s important that EVERY American comes together at a time like this to send a united message that we will not stand for their radical actions any longer. We’re calling on YOU to make a public statement and add your name to stand with President Trump against ANTIFA.
Please add your name IMMEDIATELY to stand with your President and his decision to declare ANTIFA a Terrorist Organization.”
Facebook hasn’t labelled or removed the altered toddler video posted by Donald Trump. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook has recently faced a virtual walkout of employees due to no action against Trump’s post glorifying violence. He said in that video, ” When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” Twitter quickly took the action and hid the message under a grey box.
It would be interesting to see how social media companies like Facebook, Twitter etc. limits such manipulated, altered posts coming from a popular handle. In the end, we have to appreciate that these companies at least trying to fulfil their moral responsibilities towards the public by enforcing such fact check, labelling or taking down campaigns or posts promoting violence, misinformation.

Nasa astronauts, Robert Behnken & Douglas Hurley have taken another step forward towards creating a whole new universe for commercial crew flight, by successful docking of SpaceX Crew Dragon with the International Space Station. On May 27, 2020, the first launch was withdrawn due to the weather condition, not in favour of the mission. However, Nasa & SpaceX rescheduled it for May 30, 2020, using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center.
It’s been a long journey of two decades for Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX to come this far, crossing all hurdles – as expected he was too emotional to express himself on creating history. At NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, in a press conference post-launch, he said, ” I’m really quite overcome with emotion on this day, so it’s kind of hard to talk, frankly. It’s been 18 years working towards this goal, so it’s hard to believe that it’s happened.”
“What Col. Douglas Hurley and Col. Robert Behnken did this afternoon was pure American genius and courage,” the president said during a post-launch speech at KSC today. “They joined the ranks of just seven prior American astronauts who have made the perilous maiden voyage to test a new class of spacecraft. Today, the groundbreaking partnership between NASA and SpaceX has given our nation the gift of an unmatched power — a state-of-the-art spaceship to put our astronauts into orbit at a fraction of the cost of the space shuttle. And it’s much better,” Trump said. He also added, ” “The same spirit which powered our astronauts to the moon has also helped lift our country to ever-greater heights of justice and opportunity throughout our history. So, today as we mark a renewed commitment to America’s future in space — a tremendous commitment it is — let us also commit to a brighter future for all of our citizens right here on Earth.”
In March 2019 SpaceX tested Crew Dragon spacecraft by launching Demo-1, wherein no human on-boarded only a test dummy called as “Ripley”. It was a week-long demonstration with International Space Station before sending actual astronauts – a crucial stage for SpaceX success which they just owned.
NASA & SpaceX haven’t specified the duration yet of this Demo-2 mission and calling back astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley home, however, they specified that it depends on the Crew Dragon Spacecraft in orbit before flying back to earth. The whole process would take up to 4 months to assess all the minor details before taking off Crew Dragon from ISS.
Here are some of the statements released by NASA: “Today a new era in human spaceflight begins as we once again launched American astronauts on American rockets from American soil on their way to the International Space Station, our national lab orbiting Earth,” said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. “I thank and congratulate Bob Behnken, Doug Hurley, and the SpaceX and NASA teams for this significant achievement for the United States. The launch of this commercial space system designed for humans is a phenomenal demonstration of American excellence and is an important step on our path to expand human exploration to the Moon and Mars.”

Microsoft releases a press note, highlighting some of the key developments towards the upcoming Xbox Series X and the compatibility of it with the older generation games. The Xbox Series X is expected to be launched later this year. Microsoft & Sony are the major players when it comes to extreme 4k gaming experience, and developers spend more money to craft a game than some production houses would do on movies.
According to Jason Ronald, Director of Program Management (Xbox Series X), “With more than 100,000 hours of play testing already completed, thousands of games are already playable on Xbox Series X today, from the biggest blockbusters to cult classics and fan favorites. Many of us in Team Xbox play on the Xbox Series X daily as our primary console and switching between generations is seamless. By the time we launch this holiday, the team will have spent well over 200,000 hours ensuring your game library is ready for you to jump in immediately.“
The success of any new console depends on a few major factors, like technical specifications, design, exclusive titles, and backwards-compatibility. Microsoft is amplifying all the key features of Xbox Series X before the launch to create a positive environment for their product which seems to be working.
Jason Ronald also stated that, “With all of the additional power and advancements of the Xbox Series X, the compatibility team now has a veritable playground of new capabilities to innovate and push the limits of game preservation and enhancement. The compatibility team has invented brand new techniques that enable even more titles to run at higher resolutions and image quality while still respecting the artistic intent and vision of the original creators.”
Hence, we can expect Xbox Series X launch with thousand of 4K games with HDR & up to 120 fps which looks impressive on papers for sure. Despite using Playstation for many years, I decided to go with Xbox One X for true 4k HDR-enabled experience, and I could see a major difference. Between PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X I do find Microsoft leading with a slight advantage when it comes to technical specifications or architecture, however, I would like to reserve the comment till we test both the consoles in the real world.
Ronald said, “Backwards compatible titles also see significant reductions in in-game load times from the massive leap in performance from our custom NVME SSD which powers the Xbox Velocity Architecture. As I play through my personal backlog as part of our internal testing, all of the incredible games from Xbox One and earlier play best on Xbox Series X.” As per the press announcement, “The team developed new platform level capabilities to ensure all of your games continue to get even better.

Yes! Apple has made the Custom Configurations service available for iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac Pro, Mac Mini in India. Despite the huge customer based, Indian consumers don't have the luxury of having an Apple store around to go with - till now every product/device managed by 3rd party authorized seller. However, these authorized sellers have clear guidelines to ensure top-notch customer service as the company doesn't seem to compromise on it. That's why Apple has the most loyal consumers for years, somewhere we all can sense the reason. India looks promising when it comes to Apple's market share, and the air was cleared by Tim Cook himself a couple of months back, hinting towards the online and retail store opening in the near future.
India would need to wait for some more time for Apple retail store to get launched, however, Indians Apple fans still have something to celebrate. According to TechCrunch, "The Cupertino-giant has started to offer a full range of the Mac portfolio with configure-to-order (CTO) or build-to-order (BTO) option in India, allowing customers in the country to request specific custom needs such as additional memory, storage, or a more powerful graphics card when they purchase a computer."
Apple website (India) has listed all the options available for Indian consumers to purchase, however you need to get in touch with Apple Authorised Reseller to take it further. If you are looking to purchase a customized Mac or iMac, then it won't be quick.
As per the communication, Apple commits the delivery in 4-5 weeks and the clock starts right after you place the order.
A Mumbai based executive Preshit Deorukhkar spoke to TechCrunch, let's see what he had to say: "This is a very huge deal. Previously, there was no real way to get a built-to-order or configure-to-order Mac in India. So you were stuck with the base models — 13″ MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM or Mac Mini in India. Now that the company is officially offering this, you get the computer you want and the standard warranty on it.” He also added that "The component upgrade pricing is still whacked, though, like charging $400 to go from 16GB to 32GB for the RAM, but at least the option is available now,”.
I do connect with the above statement, because when I bought a MacBook Pro a couple of years back - only base models were available, forget about the customization. It may sound funny but one of the services which I miss the most is "Engraving" your apple products and give them a personal touch. Being an optimist, I am excited about the upcoming Apple services we may see this year later despite the COVID-19 pandemic which shouldn't cause any delay - however, for now, I welcome customized Mac models availability.

Notion is an all-in-one space workspace platform that claims to replace other major players in the game, for example, Google Docs, Quip, Jira, Evernote, GitHub Wiki, Trello, Dropbox Paper etc. It was founded in 2013 under Notion Labs based in San Francisco, United States.
I’ve been using Notion for a very long time, and in the first few weeks, I could sense they know the game pretty well and its no joke for them. The platform has been designed in a meticulous manner, keeping all the needs in check – every other day they incorporate some kind of improvement or new feature.
25th May’20 5:53 am, I stumbled upon a tweet “Notion is blocked by a firewall in China. We are monitoring the situation and will continue to post updates.” @NotionStatus account. It’s an official status account for Notion, hence I had no intention to ignore it. I decided to wait for another update as it could due to some unknown reasons, doesn’t have to be what I think it is. China is well known for forcing its regulations on all tech firms.
As reported by TechCrunch, “Just before its ban in China, Notion surged on May 21 to become the most-downloaded productivity app in the domestic Android stores.” The claim is based on the data provided by a third party app Annie. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a whole new need for work collaboration platforms like Evernote, Notion etc. A rise of Notion popularity among China workforce and developers would have attracted eyeballs of their diplomats to push the regulation or initiating the block.
The Chinese Government doesn’t allow outside firms especially US tech companies, to gain an edge in their market, no matter what policy, censorship or regulation they have to come up with. It may be great to secure their domestic market and ensure survival – but in most cases, it comes as an unfair deal for foreign investor or companies. There are some of the major US-based out tech firms blocked in China,
and the list just never ends. We see one or another name getting added to this long list every year, now Notion is another US-based start-up hit by China censorship. The cold war between China and the US has a huge impact on the global business market, especially for US start-up to gain access to the Chinese market. In the case of Notion, we expect to have some transparency as to why it was blocked? and It would be great if the access can be restored by the China government.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease) Outbreak has brought video streamingin light. We together are trying to fight and to ensure none of the community collapses. Major companies all over the world, contributing to different forms to go through this pandemic state.
Hence, YouTube decided to set the video streaming quality to standard definition as a default all around the world for a month now. It’s an extension of what they did in Europe last week to control the broadband strain.
Users would still have access to modify the quality of YouTube videos, but it needs to be set manually each time. By default, the video will play in standard definition (480p), then you can change the quality as I mentioned before. But I wouldn’t recommend as it defeats the purpose, try and consume resources either network, electricity, daily essentials etc. wisely.
“We continue to work closely with governments and network operators around the globe to do our part to minimize stress on the system during this unprecedented situation,” Google said in a statement.
Last week, Netflix reduced bit rates in Europe which ease around 25% load from the network. There is another major streaming Amazon Prime Video following the footsteps and ensuring all the required measures to keep the network bandwidth stable. For now, they have dropped the bit-rates in Europe and monitoring the situation closely in other countries.
Microsoft and Sony decided to limit and delay the Xbox & PlayStation games download for the time being. as these are large files that consume a noticeable amount of bandwidth. It’s again a huge relief for consumers who are working from home. It’s a good news to Workers who need uninterrupted or smooth network connectivity to run their operations.
As most people are working from home, the usage of streaming services has shown a sharp spike in recent weeks. It could lead to an exhaustion of the Global Broadband network, and any kind of failure would create more panic among people. At this stage, most businesses are relying on network connectivity for their operations.
Therefore companies like Google, Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Sony, Disney+, Microsoft, etc. are taking necessary actions to prevent any failure on the network front. It’s an essential step on all levels, especially saving bandwidth consumption. Most of the companies have clearly stated, “that such preemptive measures can be extended to each region as per the request of a local authority or government concerns.”
I expect more companies to come forward with such initiatives to help our community and economy to survive and stand strong. Stay Home, Stay Safe!

As expected CES 2020 has come up with some eye-catching products, and today I’ll be sharing a quick view of the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook. It’s one of the best laptops I’ve gone through so far – looks stunning. Samsung introduced it in Fiesta Red and Subdued Mercury Gray with a sleek design made of durable aluminium. The most attractive part for consumers would be 13.3-inch 4K UHD AMOLED display, it’s just outstanding – anything you watch on this screen gives you an amazing experience.
CES 2020 is the right platform to launch such an expensive yet great product. Galaxy Chromebook isn’t only about the attractive outlook, on papers, it looks quite strong too. It’s powered up with an intel 10th generation core-i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD, 2 USB-C ports, 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card etc. However, it can go up to 16 GB of RAM and 1TB of storage – of course, there would be an extra cost. Due to the 4K display (3840 X 2160) touch screen, we do have one downside which is the 10 hours of battery life. It could go up to 20 hours if we had 2k or full HD display.
As I said before, it comes with sharp thin 3.9mm bezels and 9.9mm thick – which makes it handy and quite premium hardware to show off. Samsung has also included an S pen at the right edge, which will be useful in case you would like to use it as a tablet. Yes, it’s capable enough to give you a smooth tablet experience because of the high-quality touch screen and beautiful hardware. The keyboard doesn’t have much travel time which might take some time to get used to. Here is an effective statement from Alanna Cotton (Senior Vice President and General Manager at Samsung Electronics America) “The notion that we do everything stationary at a desk is a thing of the past, and people need premium devices built for our new reality. By offering a seamless, premium user experience, Galaxy Chromebook helps you effortlessly switch between streaming, creative projects, word processing, and more.”
There is an 8MP webcam on the keyboard deck and 1MP front camera which I do appreciate as something is better than nothing. Samsung Galaxy Chromebook comes with the latest ChromeOS at the price of $999 – it’s kind of expensive. The first half of 2020, we can expect Galaxy Chromebook availability in the market for consumers. Let’s see at this price point if it elevates the google experience for users out there.

In the morning, I prefer to check the responses on my Instagram Business account and somehow noticed that the likes count and video views aren’t visible. I checked other Instagram accounts, and couldn’t see likes count for any other one too. However, it’s possible to check the likes count on your own posts, if you dig into the insight.
It took me 30 seconds to recall and realize that Instagram must have expanded their initial testing started in July to more global accounts including mine. The objective is clearly to divert the focus of followers from likes count to actual content getting shared on this platform.
It looks like a positive initiative and initial feedback seems to be strongly in favour.
Instagram announced it officially through Twitter that ” Starting today, we’re expanding our test of private like counts globally. If you’re in the test, you’ll no longer see the total number of likes and views on photos and videos posted to Feed unless they’re your own”.
It’s been said that the feedback from their early testing in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan and New Zealand has been positive. The Facebook-owned brand further states that this is a fundamental change to Instagram, so they’ll continue their test to learn more from the global community.
Instagram made a couple of more tweets, one is to reassure “influencers” who may have a serious impact due to this change. In paid partnership, the count of likes and video views do matter a lot and play a deciding factor for financial closure. That’s the reason, Instagram tweeted “In addition, we understand that like counts are important for any creators, and we are actively thinking through ways for creators to communicate value to their partners.” It would help the company to buy some confidence among influencers as well.
According to me, it’s a great step forward to reduce mental stress, especially among teens. There was always pressure to match the likes count as compared to others, which led to buying fake likes – somewhere failing the purpose of Instagram. It was originated for photographers to share their work, but now causing mental health issues due to community pressure and a shift from the original goal.
We do need to keep in mind that it’s still a test, not the confirmed change however I am sure Instagram would inbuilt this feature soon instead of reversing it and facing heat from the global community.

As the smartphone market still tries to track the iPhone 11 & 11 Pro sentiments among consumers, Apple has something more to add. Yes! a long time awaited – “AirPods Pro” the most advanced wireless earbuds from Apple. As rumours suggest, it may launch this week on Tuesday, or Wednesday.
According to Benjamin Geskin’s recent tweet, AirPods Pro will be revealed next week on Tuesday or Wednesday at Apple‘s local offices with journalists. While drafting this article there are more tweets coming in, which confirm that “Exclusive AirPods Experience” for media will be held on 29th October’19.
AirPods being the most innovative, well-performed, and successful true wireless earbuds – expectations from the pro version are pretty high. As a long-time user of Apple AirPods, I would agree that these are the truly wireless earbuds among all the competitors. Either we talk about call connectivity, clarity, sound sync with the video, Bluetooth range, fast charging, etc. this tiny product stands strong. I am a satisfied AirPods user so far and expect it to be on another level with the upcoming pro version for sure.
It would be powered with enhanced sound quality, noise cancellation, water resistance, improved battery life, “Hey Siri” support and in-ear re-design. One of the most talkative and demanded features in the pro version is active noise cancellation just like Beats Pro Solo headphones recently launched by Apple.
As per Economic Daily News (Taiwanese Financial Newspaper), AirPods Pro would come in Midnight Green, Black and White. Apple may want iPhone 11 or 11 pro users to pair their devices with the new earbuds by giving more reasons to buy – “same color as device” would be one of them.
The new AirPods has “Pro” in the name, which clearly states for the premium price tag as well. It’s expected to be around $260 as compared to the existing AirPods 2 which costs $144 & $169 with wireless charging case. Will Apple’s new AirPods justify the “Pro” name? I don’t think we need to wait much, it’s a question of a couple of days now – let’s wait and watch!

We all Apple lovers wait for September every year in the quest of what more Apple can offer this time, every time.
Having said that, let’s jump into what all Apple has to offer in its 2018 iPhone upgrades.
Well, going by the look and specs you wouldn’t say there is much of a difference, but the power, the new iPhone XS packs within definitely makes it better than the rest and easily the best smartphone available right now in the market.
Let’s start with the new A12 Bionic chipset the new iPhone XS holds within. It’s undoubtedly the best and the first of its kind. It’s a 7nm chip with 6.9 billion transistors. There is a new 4-core GPU in the A12 which is 50% faster than the A11. It has a 6-core CPU with two high performer cores which is 15% faster and for the first time ever, a neural engine with an 8-core dedicated machine learning processor. So, what all this technicality means to the regular user? It means more power, more control. The new iPhone is up to 30% faster for loading apps, SIRI, software upgrades, gaming and whatnot. It makes your AR and Memoji experiences lifelike. Something you cannot get in any other smartphone.
The new iPhone is available in two sizes – 5.8 inches (XS) and 6.5 inches (XS Max). It encases the sharpest Super Retina OLED display with 458 pixels per inch of density. Mentioning so, 6.5 inch is the biggest screen size Apple has offered to date in any phone but it smoothly packs within a size of the iPhone 8 plus in your hands with an edge-to-edge display. With all this packing within, the design in your hands more or less remains the same as the iPhone X, however, it is more durable with upgraded surgical grade steel finish and new formulation durable glasswork. Apple also has the IP68 rating for dust and water resistance making the device even more durable for the harsh and on the go users.
Following the same dual-camera system, it includes a 12megapixel wide camera as well as a 12megapixel telephoto lens. So, what’s new? More effective sensors with an f/1.8 aperture on the wide camera and an f/2.4 aperture on the telephoto lens along with a flicker detect system now added to the true tone flash. The front camera comes with a 7 megapixel and f/2.2 aperture which also has enhanced sensors to make FACE ID performance better and faster.
Is that it? Nope! The all-new A12 Bionic chip comes into the picture now to make your photography experience better and memorable. It contains an image signal processor inside which enhances the image processing and offers better facial recognition, red-eye reduction, and improved portrait mode.
Other features include wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.0, support for gigabit-class LTE with 4X4 MIMO and dual-SIM options with an included nano-sim and eSIM feature. The battery life is not the best but is enhanced as compared to iPhone X, all thanks to the new A12 chip.
The pricing range starts with a whopping $999 for the 64GB model on iPhone XS and $1099 for iPhone XS Max.
Considering this is an ‘S’ year for Apple, of course, the A12 Bionic chip is the hero and it definitely makes the iPhone XS the best smartphone to date.
So here is the question, with new technologies and smartphones popping up in the market every year, do you think this power-packed device by Apple with a smoother and faster interface, with experiences like never before – don’t forget the high price range, of course, is here to stay for the long haul?

25th of March’19, Apple hosted an amazing event which I would call a services centric one. Some most awaited services were finally introduced like Apple News+, Apple Arcade, Apple TV plus and of course Apple Card. Now, in a recent iPhone event held on the 10th of September’19, the company explained Apple TV plus further which makes it more interesting than we thought. Apple TV plus service starts on the 1st of November’19, would cost $4.99 in the US, and only $1.40 in India which is Rs. 99 in INR.
The good news, it’s a part of family sharing, so up to 6 family members can enjoy one Apple TV plus subscription. As a user, you will have a 7 days trial to experience the service. If you plan to buy any apple device whether an iPhone, Apple TV, MacBook, iPod touch, iPad, iMac or Apple watch, then the company will provide one year’s subscription without any hidden cost. Now, what all devices will support Apple TV+ content? For sure, iOS, Apple tvOS, macOS and iPadOS have this service enabled already. In the future, Apple would be extending this service to other major streaming devices like Amazon Fire TV, some of the newer smart TVs like Samsung, LG, Sony also part of the process.
Few Apple TV+ original stories have already created excitement among consumers like See, The Morning Show, etc. However, the biggest curiosity leading towards Oprah Winfrey TV show – it focuses on “Scourge and toll of sexual harassment in the workplace” titled Toxic Labor. This show was announced on the 25th of March’19 with a great introductory script “This is a moment in time unlike any other. And it seems there’s never been a better time for optimism, inclusion, and creativity. To inspire people to find common ground.
And there’s one voice that has done this best. A voice that we have all been missing. A voice that when amplified, reminds us how much ideas matter. How much conversation matters. How much community matters. And the world needs more of what matters.“ For India, Apple TV+ has 11 exclusive original titles like For All Mankind The Morning Show SEE Dickinson Snoopy in Space The Elephant Queen Helpsters Servant Ghostwriter Truth Be Told Toxic Labor ( Starring Oprah Winfrey ) Yes, I know it seems to have a great deal as compared to other major services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. but hold your thoughts – Apple has a very limited content for now yet exclusive ones.
If you are looking for quality over quantity, give it a shot without any doubt. Otherwise, I would suggest you to with the trial one first. Apple has invested billions of dollars in a couple of years to create exclusive original content, and planning to increase the investment in future for sure. I’ve been using Netflix for a very long time, and Yes! they do have some amazing content with great quality.
As per reports, Netflix spent $12 billion in 2018 which is expected to $15 billion in 2019. It’s a BIG investment!! Apple has been working on this project for a very long time to ensure all the pieces are aligned perfectly and standing as an example of supreme quality like their other products, at least that’s what they seem to be claimed.

Facebook as a company realizes that the revenue they have been a part of demands a large number of consumers with a high percentage of engagement.
That’s the reason, you’ll always see social media companies like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter introducing new functionalities to attract new users and hold the existing ones. These companies are successfully doing it as most of us spend hours on Facebook every day checking friends’ photos, events, funny videos or debating on any political topic with some more friends who have nothing else to do rather than investing time on unproductive tasks.
As per Sproutsocial Facebook has 2 billion monthly active users, over 1 billion daily active users spending an average of 35 minutes, 317000 status updates, 400 new users signing up, 147000 photos uploaded, 54000 shared links and all this happen in every 60 seconds. No doubt why it has been the biggest attraction so far for companies to brand their products and reach to potential customers.
In the continuation, company is also testing new function “things in common” which will be visible to any public conversation you go through and see certain things highlighted next to any of the commenter’s name such as public Facebook group, location or same company but not connected on Facebook as friends.
“Knowing shared things in common helps people connect,” a Facebook spokeswoman said in a statement. “We’re testing adding a ‘things in common’ label that will appear above comments from people with who you’re not friends but you might have something in common with.”
For now, it’s a small test only visible in the United States on some random accounts.
It looks like the company is trying to help you to get more friends by showing common interests and give you a reason to engage with more users who don’t fall in your friend list.
Facebook has confirmed that the information which users have set to be shown to the public would fall under the “things in common” label. If you can’t see my workplace or group I am associated with, then you’ll not see all these values in a “things in common”. A social network company like Facebook needs to ensure that new users are joining the platform, and existing ones create good engagement – it’s essential in order to survive the market.
Such features could be a blessing for people who are having a hard time making friends on Facebook. According to me, “Things in common” will work as a spark to initiate conversations which gradually leads to having Facebook friends.

Facebook was under a wide-scale hack last month wherein almost 50 million users’ data was put to compromise. Although the attack was stopped within 48 hours of its identification and all accounts were secured immediately, Facebook has most recently given out details on what kind of information was leaked and what steps you can take to check, whether you were one of the victims of this hack or not.
You only need to visit Facebook’s Help Centre and log in to your account. Once you are logged in, simply scroll down to the bottom of the page.
There is a section which says: “Is my Facebook account impacted by this security issue.” It will give you a quick Yes or No. If the answer is yes, it will also provide you with some added details about what kind of information was taken by the hackers from your account.
Facebook further mentioned in their blog post that actually 30 million users were affected and the type of access is also categorized further. Nearly 15 million accounts were compromised of their Names and contact information whereas the other 14 million accounts were even compromised of other personal details like gender, location, religion and whatever other details mentioned on their profile along with the names and contact information. The remaining 1 million user accounts, Facebook assures that the hackers did not obtain any kind of information.
Also, Facebook mentions in their blog post that “In the coming days, we’ll send customized messages to the 30 million people affected to explain what information the attackers might have accessed, as well as steps they can take to help protect themselves, including from suspicious emails, text messages, or calls.”
As we are aware that the hack was due to a vulnerability in Facebook’s “View As” code, attacking which the hackers stole the access tokens. In case you do not know, access tokens are like digital keys which allow the user to stay logged in via the app and the user does not have to re-enter the password. This gave the hackers access to millions of user profiles.
Once the attack was determined, stern actions were taken to identify the cause and the vulnerability was immediately removed and the tokens were all reset. Owning to this information Facebook also informs that no password was stolen and no other accounts like Messenger, private messages, WhatsApp, payments mode or developer accounts were attacked.
While further investigations are in progress, the hackers do have access to loads of personal data and given the technical intelligence today, we might be aware and keep a close eye on our social and financial services.

iPhone XI has some interesting facts to discuss and of course, most of them wouldn’t make you happy. We are just two months away from the launch of Apple’s most popular devices – iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max, and iPhone XI R.
2019 has been a challenging year for Apple on many grounds, either a huge decline in iPhone sales due to the high prices, US-China trade war and issues with other products like MacBook pro. According to the rumours, iPhone 11 would support a square camera bump style which isn’t getting good feedback from all over the world. Again these are rumours, but a pretty strong one and from the last couple of years these sources were bang on. So we can expect an ugly iPhone – it may be too harsh but that’s how the consumer market sees it for now.
iPhone XR successor carries two lenses however iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max has 3-lens camera square back – not sure how exactly the outcome would look.
I expect an ultra-wide, telephoto lens and a wide-angle of course from this triple-camera setup. In terms of design, it doesn’t sound too promising – let’s wait for the final product before making our minds. This year, we can expect a larger battery, noticeable improvement in rear cameras, USB-C, and Dark Mode which anyways will be available to all iOS 13 compatible devices.
According to the report in the Chinese newspaper Global Times, Apple is likely to replace Face ID with an under-display fingerprint function to reduce the cost and lower the iPhone prices in China. For the last few years, iPhone sales have gone down really bad among Chinese consumers due to their high prices and other mobile manufacturers offering phones at a lower cost.
Introducing cheaper iPhone may help Apple to regenerate the sales numbers in China. The company is also planning to keep Face ID and fingerprint scanner both for some of the global markets.
