So the biggest song in the world right now TALIBANS by the super talented Byron Messia has taken the world by storm!

Now normally we take dancehall type beats and drop them on Bollywood for a different style of remixes… this time I decided to flip that do something that I don’t normally do. At first it was just for sh*ts and giggles if I’m being honest however it came out better than I expected. I’ve always had soca apart of what I do but I’ve never done a straight up soca mix. This years soca has been the talk of music for months now. Back in the 90s my family and I used to visit a local Chinese and West Indian Restaurant. This restaurant had jukebox which was loaded with all types of albums from reggae to dancehall even Indian and chutney. There was one album named CLASSIX by SANJ with a particular remix on it called O HASEENA paired with GUN IN A BAGGY with a wicked dancehall beat. This is where MY love for Indian on Dancehall happened and excelled over the years with all the amazing Remixers, DJs and Producers running their remixes with the concept. 6 Months ago, I released Cassette Style [90s Dancehall/Reggae Mix] and during the completion of that project a light bulb went off… WHAT ABOUT A B SIDE!? better yet WHAT ABOUT INDIAN IN BETWEEN!? So back in the day on Cassettes they had another side you had to flip to listen to more music. Some of these Cassettes had an extended mix of what you heard on the A SIDE. So, I followed this concept and used the foundation of Cassette Style to add Indian music in between. Although it took forever to finish and perfect, I can honestly say it came out better than anticipated. (Huge Thank you to my wife for supporting me during the process.) The concept for the name CUTTAS + GOLD CHAIN MIX came up while I was completing this album for release. It stuck in my head cause I imagined it would be played where people are having a good time knocking dominoes, eating cuttas, drinking all with a gold chain on LOL! With my birthday literally in a few hours this album is a perfect way to bring it in. This album was made months ago. I was trying to find the perfect time to release it and I figured what better time than now!

This upcoming year will be a year of evolution, more successes, more opportunities, more, more and more of everything I can imagine and can’t.

That all being said I would like to propose a toast … a toast to everyone who crossed me, a toast to everyone who disrespected me, a toast to everyone, who wish me to fail and even worse. This is not subliminal if you ever wished bad on me or my team just know there’s “Nuh Grudges.” So cheers.

Furthermore, what I do is not for you and what KOD does is not for you, you do not motivate me nor do you motivate us - We’ve evolved from that. Eyes on the prize… always.

This album when you listen to it and make it apart of your daily playlist remember it’s an album of turning the page from where you were and who you were rolling with. “This album has a few levels to it. First and foremost my brother inspired me to do this album. I wanna thank you bro cause without you I don’t know if this album would’ve been done!

Secondly, I was looking up to play some tracks while I went for a drive. I was really and truly trying to hear some faster pace indian and YouTube can only do so much. So I said lemme check around and see if there’s any albums that: have a great compilation, cuts the instrumental breaks to perfect size and sounds banging with no drops… couldn’t find one if there is my bad I missed it. All that being said I took it upon myself to get this one out!

This album features 90s and 00s original dance Bollywood music. There are tracks from Tere Naam, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Chalte Chalte, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Kaho Na Pyar Hai and much more.

Lastly the title!

So the concept I went with when I was doing this album was something out of the ordinary. What I wanted to capture is as your listening to this album you want the volume up more and more as every track passes. Hence the name GYAM VALUME. For those who don’t understand the lingo it just means Turn It Up!

“90s… the prime of dancehall/reggae in my opinion of course, with respect to all eras. I am a huge fan of 90s dancehall and it doesn’t matter how old I get I still run it back and get lost in it like it’s the first time I’m enjoying it.

With this album, I’m trying to capture the earlier to mid years of dancehall and reggae in a sample size. A couple years ago I released TROBAXX 90s edition which sort of focused on the entire 90s decade however it spotlighted the mid- late 90s a bit more. To give an example this album is focusing on the earlier careers of Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Bounty Killer and more with the prime years of Super Cat, Shabba Ranks, Cutty Ranks and more. There is a bit of an overlap between the two albums however unique in their own ways for sure.

All that being said I remember a time where you just had to leave the tape it run out cause it was sort of tedious to fast forward and rewind to find your favourite part. I said forget all that lemme make the whole album the favourite part and boom! CASSETTE STYLE was born lol!

A Message From AJR:

“Maharaja 3 started production back in March/April of 2022. This album … I’m actually losing words, lemme start back from the beginning.

This particular series, the Maharaja series started because I was always searching for Desi and Punjabi music to listen to continuously. Unfortunately I couldn’t find an album or mixtape other than the individual song on YouTube to listen to or that I enjoyed (no offence to anyone just an opinion from me at that* time).

As I was searching I came across an artist named Sidhu Moose Wala. This individual’s flow, style and over all personality captured my attention and I was like… YEP that’s gonna be the guy. I’ve had the pleasure of featuring his music along with many other Punjabi and Desi artists over the last 3 years including this one.

All that being said with 2 successful Maharaja albums I figured this one is gonna be the one that blows up (primarily cause it was the last one).… then Sunday May 29 2022…. The untimely death of possibly the biggest Punjabi artist ever, happened. I honestly was distraught, look I ain’t a culture vulture I enjoy music. Although I may not understand the language I get the over all idea and respect both the culture and the music.

Sidhu’s death… That sh*t hit me… he was someone who changed the landscape of any area he was in. A true pioneer well ahead of his time. An like many great and legendary artists they will live on with the work they achieved while they were here. The craziest part about all of this is the title THE LAST KING was chosen prior to his death, things happen how the happen I guess.

Maharaja 3 - The Last King is a new Desi and Punjabi mix consisting of some of the biggest artists and songs out today. All chosen and mixed my yours truly! I also had the pleasure of featuring quite a bit of Sidhu on this album. Big shout out to all the other artists on this album as well!

I hope everyone is doing well! I know it's been some time since I dropped an album however… I am super excited to release this amazing project! It is a Bollywood remixed album and one thing I try to pride myself on is with my remixes I don't work to be compared to anyone else's album or projects, respectfully.

This album took quite some time to do and I couldn't be happier with the final product. This album does not follow any format of Indian remix albums I have heard before which makes it even more exciting to release to you all. Some remixes you may have heard on another album we were on as a feature or you may have heard a few at an event we played at or on. Other than that about 80% of this album features brand new remixes with both old and new Bollywood (as new as a few months ago).

I'd like to thank STEVERO MUSIC for blessing this album with two of his remixes! As well as NAVI from WRO/UNIQUE SOUNDZ for assisting with a couple tracks as well. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone in advance for their continued support!

Jesus is my light and salvation and I will shout it on the highest mountain.

This album is the 3rd album in its kind I’ve done with using my talents to show what I believe and spread the good news. This album talks about struggles, holding the faith and understanding the importance of having God in your life. Many artist like Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Konshens, Jah Vinci, Tarrus Riley, Alaine and more have blessed their careers and used their voice for the most high. I felt I wanted to do the same and tie it all together.

It’s so fitting that this album is the 100th track on our SoundCloud and we’d like to give thanks and praise for getting this far. God is good!

There’s a lot of things I had planned and ready to say for this album. But now that the time has come, I wanna tell you something different, I wanna tell y’all the truth.

Making this album was probably one of the most time consumed projects I’ve ever put out. Now, the concepts and mixes came as the time passed to remix them. But throughout this process there was TREMENDOUS trials and tribulations. Choosing and cutting songs that I held dear to me, to battle and even attempt remixing old Indian music, and to also crashing my hard drive, potentially losing over 50,000+ songs.

That’s right, the day before my albums initial launch date on July 30th 2021 for my pops 1 year anniversary, my hard drive crashed and I was on the verge of losing all my stuff. THIS was my breaking point. But I held my tongue and kept it close to me. Didn’t bother explaining the past to anyone. This also hurt me a lot, I was not down to chill with any of my close friends, going straight to and from work. Then I thought about it, and I thought about the significance behind this project. It was made clear that this was not the appropriate time to release this project. From July until October I was without my music. As soon as I recovered my drive (only by Gods grace) it was straight GAMETIME ! Not a living soul or bad mind eediiot could stop me at this point. This project was finally completed on Dec. 9th 2020.

This album may not be for you, but guess what !? It could be for your PARENTS, for your GRANDPARENTS. This is their era of music that I decided to recreate and add special touches to. With that being said you already know what to expect for this album.

There’s only three people I need to Thank for this album. Firstly I wanna thank my good friend Davika whom I’ve had the pleasure of being friends with for oh so long 😂. To you Davika I wanna say thank you so much for being part of a family project and ONLY DOING DJ VOCALS FOR YOUR LIL BRO💙. It’s always love. I’m proud and happy to see you doing your thing. Making this album was probably one of the most time consumed projects I’ve ever put out. Now, the concepts and mixes came as the time passed to remix them. But throughout this process there was TREMENDOUS trials and tribulations. Choosing and cutting songs that I held dear to me, to battle and even attempt remixing old Indian music, and to also crashing my hard drive, potentially losing over 50,000+ songs.

That’s right, the day before my albums initial launch date on July 30th 2021 for my pops 1 year anniversary, my hard drive crashed and I was on the verge of losing all my stuff. THIS was my breaking point. But I held my tongue and kept it close to me. Didn’t bother explaining the past to anyone. This also hurt me a lot, I was not down to chill with any of my close friends, going straight to and from work. Then I thought about it, and I thought about the significance behind this project. It was made clear that this was not the appropriate time to release this project. From July until October I was without my music. As soon as I recovered my drive (only by Gods grace) it was straight GAMETIME ! Not a living soul or bad mind eediiot could stop me at this point. This project was finally completed on Dec. 9th 2020.

In celebration of The NACK AH TING TOUR coming to Toronto, the Kings of Diversity's AJR decided to shake off some dust to give this one of a kind soundtrack. The idea behind this soundtrack was to reminisce of those amazing times jamming out at an event, all while singing every song word for word with not a care in the world. What AJR wanted to do with this album is just have a good time and for about an hour and thirty minutes with a session of pure chunes. We also wanted to give just a little taste of what will be going down November 12, 13 & 14 when Raymond and Rakesh come to Toronto!

We'd like to personally thank Raymond and Richard Ramnarine of Dil E Nadan, Mr.Paradise, Dj Ruthless and NAVi from WRO for making this album as hot as it is. Back in January @ajr18_ @steveromusic & @neelu15 came out with Time Travellers. This album fused hip hop dancehall afrobeats and so much more together with any era available.

This album did not follow a set playlist or was in any kind of order. It featured remixes upon remixes, concept upon concept. It brought back a style missing from the game for so long.

So last year the Kings of Diversity’s AJR released “Low Rides & Summer Nights.” Upon that release we didn’t know what to expect. Reason for that is because we were not sure if many fans and supporters would be familiar with the genre. But to our humbling surprise y’all loved every minute of it!

That all being said we decided to go a little bit more newer than the 50s,60s and a bit of the 70s. We hit the fast forward button to the 80s and 90s. Featuring artist like Phil Collins, Lionel Richie, Elton John, George Micheal, Micheal Bolton, Bonnie Tyler, Bryan Adams and so much more.

About 1-2 months ago AJR was involved in the production with Raymond Ramnarine, Rakesh Yankeran, Dil E Nadan & Bakyard Studio’s Tujhe Suraj. Upon that production AJR decided to do an entire album with tracks just like that. Most of you may not know AJR had this album done since… Beginning of July 2021 (crazy…he didn’t release it right away - “Kings Talk hint hint”).

It’s been quite some time since there has been an album like this where the chutney artists get to shine through bollywood without the regular style of chutney Chunes. And you know the Kings already if theres something out there that hasn’t been done or been a while since they will jump on it.

All that being said, the concept of this album is something that is a constant with every event where people are just having too much of a good time with company they want them to stay a little longer lol. So the tracks placed on this album is set to keep them there for another 5 mins to an hour plus LOL.

As you all may know or not AJR has been around for some time. A while ago when he debuted his first solo album was a REGGAE album. Shocking that it took him almost 5 years to do one with us however, here it is. This album is a compilation of some of the best reggae songs to ever come out including covers, remixes and of course original singles as well.

There is no structure to this album with the sole concept of chillin' by the pool on a resort or beach with a cold drink, feet in the water and not a care in the world. Whether it is new reggae or old it is on this album and mixed to perfection.

As promised on my IG, your boy delivered on something releasing today. This album is the final series for Midnight Cruisin’. Midnight Cruisin’ was originally hand selected songs by myself and Jay Herbz bringing the best of both worlds, hip hop and dancehall. Together we made work what we thought would be the best cruisin’ music you could enjoy while on the road taking a trip, going for your errands or caught up in some traffic.

With two successful albums completed, it is with great pleasure but also grievance that we come to an end with Midnight Cruisin’. Would love to Thank ALL of the true fans and supporters behind Midnight Cruisin’ who consistently have it played and part of your day.

The Kings and Bombay Lemonade have decided to collaborate once again! A couple years ago the first collab happened in “I Am Sham Sundar.” After 70k + listens and endless amounts of love for that album we had to do it again.

This time we decided to put Bombay in the drivers seat and let him guide us in his diverse tracks and playlist. Our very own AJR arranged and mixed this 71 track, 2 Hour album with 100% of Bombay’s selection. Early this week we decided to do a KOD FACEOFF poll on our IG, where we’d put two artists/band/etc against each other and have our fans vote for their favourite. Because of the overwhelming response we posted a second poll that asked our fans if they’d like an album featuring our FACEOFF artist and voila... Round 1.

Our very own AJR has put together a Chune 4 Chune style album featuring two of Soca’s most iconic artists KES & MACHEL MONTANO! This amazing album with its smooth transitions and simplicity focuses on both artists and their hits. Now we realize that both artists have impressive and very extensive catalogs of music but this 92 track Hour and 38 min album does not disappoint!
