In this episode, I wanted to soft-launch the release of my first book through shameless self-promotion. I remember writing this in response to the essay that I had written to my 15-year-old self, to compare and imagine what my life would look like if we fast-forwarded 10 years into the future.
In this episode, I declare and hold myself accountable for all of the promises and choices that I am willing to implement in my life in this next season. Give yourself room to change, grow and be better; not for them, but for you. Self-reflection has always been a best friend of mine--never afraid to call me out on my BS, never afraid to celebrate my biggest wins no matter how small I think they may be.
As the cold weather intensifies, I wanted to build some healthy habits into my routine to prevent slumps and seasons of low emotion and energy. Here's to a new era of discipline, consistency and true happiness. It's an uphill battle, but one with a beautiful view at the top.
In today's episode, I attempt to identify and understand my life within the context of the popular sitcom "Friends". With reflecting on life's many trials and tribulations, there is comfort in appreciating the many seasons that will come and go. Although each one plays an important role in the grand scheme of your life, not every season comes equipped with ease and happiness--you may even find yourself underprepared for some. Despite the uncertainty that follows every milestone in your early 20s, I now find solace in the fleetingness of the seasons. There is warmth in knowing that you are in a state of constant change, moving in the direction of your best self.
Over a year ago, I started this podcast with BIG plans and even bigger expectations within myself. Although time is both the enemy and ally of progress, I have chosen to go easier on myself going forward. Change is the inevitable force that drives us towards our truest selves, and it's time I acknowledged that. On today's episode, I wanted to try getting a little more candid and transparent with my audience, but also, with myself.
