China Ranch is near Tecopa California, just outside Death Valley and it's a true oasis in the desert. As you can hear in this recording the streams are flowing and the birds are singing. This little ranch is in the middle of the Mojave Desert but you wouldn't know if you hadn't just driven through the sands to get here.

A waterfall in the desert, Darwin Falls is inside Death Valley National Park. You hike about a mile from the trail head into more and more green foliage until you start to hear more and more water.
