This is the next move forward in my Wine Cellar Media Project.

Wine Cellar Media will remain the flagship of the patreon subscriptions. Mr. William's LaborHood will be the show I produce.

We have to face the reality that with Phoenix Calida's work and family schedule along with health challenges that she can't be involved in content creating the way she used to.

What you will hear in this podcast feed will still be politically and ideologically charged as it has been for 10 years. What we're seeing now is a relatively heavy change in how and what media goes out there these days.

Moving forward, longform episodes will only be once a week. I'll go live on Sundays with a wrap up of the week and throughout the week, there will be multiple instances of short-form coverage of individual stories.

It's an awkward moment as change can be weird and jarring. It's also a necessary given the work I've been doing is beyond ready to adapt to where the independent media landscape is and is going.

May the next 10 years bring us more constructive interactions and development of ideas that inform our civic conduct.

Let's just be realistic here. I don't think Republicans or people that fall for their talking points are stupid to the point of not being able to function as adults. Clearly, they've figured out things like driving to and from work. They've managed to keep bills paid well enough. Some of them are even kind of good at their jobs when they're on the clock. When we say these people are stupid, we're talking about intellectually and philosophically. These people don't read. They don't think beyond conventional wisdom and cultural and personal biases. They're obsessed with arguing because they think that when we become exasperated and disengage, they "won." They think they've "stumped" us with their dazzling rhetorical performance. They aren't even smart enough to understand that we stop talking with them because we know they were never interested in having their conclusions challenged. They don't care about context, facts, data, or expertise. They care about who's the loudest and said the most words.

No Debate No Discussion. No Tankies. We will not interact with tankies at any point in time for any reason.

A Franklin County judge ruled Tuesday that Ohio’s controversial ban on gender-affirming health care for transgender youth can take effect. I'm still reading every update I can on Sean Grayson. He is the normal cop whom forgot to tell his co-worker to disable the body camera before taking Sonya Massey's life. The Folks down at NBC obtained a recording of him being reprimanded at a previous job for lying about where he was before a high speed chase. Lying about the high speed chase. Also: For refusing the end the high speed chase when he was told to by his boss. The high speed chase ultimately ended with him hitting a deer... at high speed. This ifnormation was in his personel file. Maybe ALL COPS should have their files researched. If it's only a few bad apples, we can remove them from the basket as it were. I think that ALL COPS should agree with this idea because.. IF YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG, YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

At the time of typing this, it is 3:15pm EST. A school board meeting is being held in Broward County, Florida about firing a parent whom allowed her daughter to play on the volleyball team. Her daughter is transgender. One week ago most of the School board members seemed as though they were ready to reject the recommendation that the parent be fired as a computer information specialist. According to reporting at NBC Miami 6 South Florida:"many also said they didn't think Norton should go unpunished for violating the state's Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, which Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Republican-led Legislature approved in 2021. The law, which the Broward board lobbied against, bars trans students from participating in girls and women's sports."A committe for discrict recommended a 10 day suspension. An adjacent committe argued for 5 days. The daughter is now 16, class president, homecoming princess and just trying to live her girl life without all of these weirdo azz transphobes bothering her. She has been physically marginalized out of the shcool building and is currently taking classes online. Her family is currently in a federal lawsuit against Florida and this law as violation of her civil rights. It is reported that she began taking puberty blockers at age 11 and takes estrogen. One more quote directly from 6 South Florida: "When investigators interviewed three Monarch volleyball players, they said the team did not change clothes or shower together, so they were never disrobed with Norton’s daughter. A University Heights police lieutenant is on paid administrative leave after being arrested for driving under the influence and using a weapon while intoxicated.Lieutenant Todd Kinley has been with the University Heights Police Department for over 30 years. Now his law enforcement career hangs in the balance.The incident reportedly happened when Kinley was leaving a Kenny Chesney concert at Bloom Music Center. Records show he was involved in a car accident.According to police reports, it happened in the early morning hours of June 7, as Kinley was leaving the concert in Cuyahoga Falls.

After Fekkes crossed the line, a deputy pulled him over at the intersection of Raceway and Broken Arrow Roads.When police began speaking with Fekkes, he claimed he was eating Taco Bell, and that was what caused him to drive over the center line. Per court records, when a deputy asked Fekkes for his license and registration, Fekkes “displayed poor manual dexterity while doing so and fumbled for his documents.”As he presented police with his documentation, Fekkes indicated his license had expired on July 1.According to court documents, police noticed Fekkes was slurring his speech and had bloodshot, glossy eyes during the traffic stop. A deputy asked Fekkes if he had been drinking, but he denied having had any alcohol.

Sonya Massey was a 36 year old Black Woman.Her 15 year old daughter and 17 year old son are left without her. Speaking with CNN, her father James Wilburn informs us that the police department withheld the information that one of their officers took her life. Without the body cam footage, they would have never known. Sean Grayson is a very experienced police officer. On July 6, 2024 Sonya Massey called 911 to report a suspected prowler outside her home. She had a pot of water on the stove and it would seem reasonable to expect her to remove it or turn off the burner. One of them can even be heard saying "We don't need a fire while we're here" on the body cam footage. Surprisingly the camera worked and wasn't accidently turned off prior to entering her home. Upon hearing her say "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus", he tells her that his going to shoot her in the effing face. This is the response from a sworn officer of the law. A person of whom is given a gun, authority and immunity. This is the temperment of the person entrusted with her safety. This is the type of person of whom is payed and deployed to help. On the body camera footage, Sonya Massey is seen and heard to be apologizing and backing away. With 4 years of experience through 6 agencies, this man of whom is merely one of MANY did what he clearly learned to do through experience and observation. He discharged his firearm, taking the life of Sonya Massey.The police department did not fire him until after he was indicted.

Rex Heuermann's Alleged Murder Spree Could Spread Coast-to-CoastThe 60-year-old was first arrested in July 2023 for the deaths of four women whose remains were found in burlap sacks along the Ocean Parkway in New York over a decade ago.Detectives finally nabbed Heuermann in 2023 after he tossed a pizza box with leftover crust into a Manhattan trash can after the investigation that took more than a decade. The DNA from his crust matched genetic material found on the women's remains.Heuermann faces charges in connection to the murders of Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Lynn Costello and Maureen Brainard-Barnes - also known as "The Gilgo Four." Taylor and Costilla were announced has Heuermann's fifth and sixth victims on Thursday.The announcement comes weeks after authorities returned to Heuermann's Long Island home. It’s also Antarctica’s most vulnerable and unstable glacier, in large part because the land on which it sits slopes downward, allowing ocean waters to eat away at its ice.Thwaites, which already contributes 4% to global sea level rise, holds enough ice to raise sea levels by more than 2 feet. Hey gang. It's interesting seeing men in my comments after making post about their heroes, Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson. CBS/NFLBrandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars are being sued by two women who allege McManus sexually assaulted them during the team's overseas flight to London last year, according to court documents obtained by ESPN. The two women, identified as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II, filed the lawsuit in Duval County (Florida) Circuit Civil Court on Friday. McManus, 32, is accused of rubbing himself against them and grinding against them. The lawsuit also alleges that the Jaguars failed to supervise McManus and create a safe environment for the staff serving the team. They are seeking in excess of $1 million and demand a jury trial. Per the lawsuit, the women were serving as flight attendants on the Sept. 28, 2023 flight to London. The Jaguars were in London for two weeks playing in back-to-back games for the NFL's international slate. The first game occurred on Sunday, Oct. 1 against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium. The flight, an Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings charter flight, is alleged to have "quickly turned into a party." McManus and other players disregarded the flight attendants' personal space and the veteran kicker is alleged to have attempted to recruit three other flight attendants to the party by passing out $100 bills to have them drink and dance inappropriately. Jane Doe I claims McManus tried to kiss her when she was seated due to turbulence and twice grinded up against her when she was serving the flight's meal services. Meanwhile, Jane Doe II claims McManus grinded up against her when she was serving the flight's second meal.

The daughter of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) says she was “basically evicted” after she was suspended from Columbia University’s Barnard College on Friday for participating in pro-Palestinian protests on campus.Hundreds of students have occupied Columbia’s campus for days, protesting the Biden administration’s response to the Israel-Hamas war, backing a cease-fire in the conflict, and urging Congress to stop sending military aid to Israel.

We're always left to speculate on these things. I know none of my questions will be answered but I sure would like it if they were. William Brock was born in the 40's and went into his 20's in the 60's and as a white man, I can only imagine that he carried some influence from the time and place of his developmental years. Some influence that could have played a role in his snap decision to murder a black person of whom is an unarmed woman walking away from him and clearly confused.

A former Pasco Police Officer was sentenced today in a Spokane cold case murder that spanned 38 years and resulted in two trialsTwenty-seven-year-old Ruby Doss was found murdered in 1986 in East Spokane, her case was worked by the Spokane Police Department for decades with no conclusion or arrest of a suspect. In 2015 DNA collected from a condom found at the Ruby Doss crime scene was matched to Richard Aguirre. Aguirre’s DNA had been submitted during an unrelated rape investigation in Franklin County. Aguirre was tried in that case and found not guilty by a jury in 2017. At the time Ruby Doss was murdered Aguirre was living in Spokane serving in the U.S. Airforce and stationed at Fairchild. He then moved to the Tri-cities where in 1988 he became a Pasco Police Officer. In 2016 Aguirre was charged with murder for the killing of Ruby Doss but the charges were dropped in 2017 due to a lack of evidence. In 2021 the Spokane County Prosecutors office brought the charge on Aguirre again but a jury could not agree on a verdict and a mistrial was declared. In 2023 Aguirre was once again tried and in December convicted of first-degree murder for the killing of Ruby Doss. Today the judge handed down a sentence of 25 years, which fell at the high end of the range of 20 to 26 years. Aguirre is now 59 years old. Ruby’s four daughters were able to speak to the court and describe the loss they each experienced and the continuing loss their family has, and will suffer, as now three generations have been deprived of knowing Ruby. This case brings closure not just to the family of Ruby Doss but to an entire community as well as generations of Spokane Police Investigators, Spokane County Prosecutors and others who sought justice for Ruby Doss.

A Montgomery police officer has been arrested on misdemeanor charges stemming from multiple “swatting” incidents in Prattville.Officer Christopher Eugene Sanspree Jr., 23, is charged with six counts of falsely reporting an incident. Those charges are misdemeanor crimes.Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson said in a press release investigators determined that Sanspree made several phone calls to Autauga County 911 to falsely report various incidents.

A former Columbus vice detective pleaded guilty to federal accusations Thursday that he kidnapped sex worker victims under the guise of an arrest, according to federal prosecutors.Andrew Mitchell, 59, of Sunbury, pleaded guilty to two counts of depriving individuals of their civil rights while acting under color of law and one count of obstructing justice, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio.Mitchell spent more than 30 years with the Columbus Division of Police and was assigned to the vice union for the final two years of his employment, which ended in 2019, prosecutors said.While working as a detective in July 2017, Mitchell wore plain clothes and drove an unmarked car when he handcuffed a sex worker to his vehicle, then drove to a parking lot and detained the woman against her will after identifying himself as an officer, prosecutors said. Two months later, while again working as a plainclothes detective, he questioned a sex worker about rates before he said he was an officer and then kidnapped her, prosecutors said.Mitchell was acquitted earlier this year of murder and manslaughter charges stemming from the death of a woman he shot while he was working undercover.He was indicted after shooting and killing Donna Castleberry, 23, as she sat in his unmarked police vehicle in August 2018.He said he acted in self-defense after she stabbed him in the hand during an undercover prostitution investigation. The jury in that trial reached its verdict after deliberating for about five hours.Mitchell faces up to 11 years on the three charges. Credit for time served could knock five years of the sentence. Under the terms of the plea deal, Mitchell will not have to register with the state as a sex offender.

State lawmakers in the House and Senate have passed a proposal to put a measure on a special election ballot in August to require a 60% supermajority of Ohio voters to amend the state’s constitution, a move some lawmakers hope will make it less likely that voters will make abortion legal in November.

The 62-37 House vote came as hundreds of protesters demonstrated in the rotunda of the Statehouse before the session opened Wednesday afternoon and after House Democrats stood and started a chant against the vote. The chamber’s gallery was cleared, and the vote resumed shortly after.

Four Republicans joined all Democrats in voting against the resolution. Reps. Jamie Callender (R-Concord), Jay Edwards (R-Nelsonville), Jeff LaRe (R-Violet Twp.) and Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) were three short colleagues away from preventing the proposal from moving forward.

"This brazen, undemocratic power grab will not stand," Scott DiMauro, president of the Ohio Education Association, said following the vote.

There were more than 250 bipartisan groups against this amendment, and hundreds chanting all throughout the session.

One of the reasons why so many are angry is because of the timing. Republicans want to get this in front of voters before an amendment on reproductive rights potentially makes the November ballot.

"There's some theatrics and that's people's prerogative," State Rep. Brian Stewart (R-Ashville) said. "But we're very pleased with how today went."

Stewart and anti-abortion groups say unhappy citizens can make their voices heard at the ballot box in August.

A 22-year-old Black woman in Missouri who escaped after a white man abducted, tortured and held her captive for weeks in a basement has said several other Black women were killed by her captor – less than a month after police dismissed community concerns about a serial killer as “completely unfounded”.

The woman, who has not been named, escaped on 7 October after about a month in captivity, still wearing a metal collar locked with a padlock that authorities had to remove.

She told Kansas City police that 39-year-old Timothy M Haslett had imprisoned her in a basement room in Excelsior Springs – a city just north-east of Kansas City – where he whipped and raped her repeatedly. She escaped while Haslett was dropping his child off at school, and she sought help from neighbours whom she told that her friends “did not make it out” and were killed by Haslett.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) - The EMT who was handcuffed in the Strong Memorial emergency department by a Rochester Police investigator has released a statement.

In a news conference Monday night, the group Save Rochester identified the Monroe Ambulance EMT as Lekia Smith and shared this message:

“ Hello, my name is Lekia Smith. Right now I want to thank everyone for their kind

words and prayers during this time. I am still having some mental and physical

difficulty after this incident, but despite it all, I am a fighter. I am just glad that God

allowed me to still be here to speak my truth, unlike those who have come before

me.

Once I am feeling better I just want my life to go back to normal and continue on in

my career as an EMT. I pray that this never happens to anyone again and I also

pray that the justice that is needed in this situation is served swiftly.”

Save Rochester took issue with the Locust Club's characterization of what transpired after the confrontation that was caught on tape, calling the statement "egregiously misleading and wholly treacherous".

Around 12 a.m. Saturday, a St. Petersburg police officer told Stoll he could no longer sell hot dogs in the roadway after his street closure permit ended, according to court documents obtained by WFLA.

An officer asked Stoll to close up shop, but he continued to try selling a hot dog, the court documents say. Stoll became frustrated and threw a hot dog at the officer, who was in full uniform at the time of the incident, according to the station.

Stoll, who lives in New Port Richey, was booked into the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. Online court records show he is out after posting $2,500 bail.

The court records note he has many tattoos, including the phrases “hustle eat sleep repeat,” and “what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger,” among many others.

He faces a minimum of three years in jail if convicted.

The city of Boston, which has faced a lawsuit and criticism for withholding documents about a prominent former police officer convicted of raping children, released hundreds of additional pages about its investigation on Thursday.

But Mayor Michelle Wu said none of the documents explain why the Boston Police Department kept Patrick Rose on for more than two decades after he was first credibly accused of sexually assaulting a child. Rose later rose to become head of one of the key police unions in the city.

The new documents released Thursday included portions of a heavily redacted 98-page investigative file into Rose, who was charged with sexually abusing a child in 1995.

The criminal charges were dropped after the victim recanted, but an internal investigation found Rose likely sexually assaulted the child. Wu says those were grounds to fire Rose. But she said the investigative file did not explain why Rose wasn't fired or disciplined.

"To the best of our knowledge, no such city documentation exists," she told the council.

Rose went on to lead the city's largest police union, the Boston Police Patrolmen's Union. He retired in 2018.

"Some of the questions that drive the push for fuller transparency in this particularly horrific situation are not fully answered," Wu told reporters Thursday. "Namely, who might have been involved or took specific action to reinstate Patrick Rose in full to his job as a police officer."

Rose pleaded guilty in April to 21 counts of child rape and sexual assault for abusing six children over a 27-year period. A judge sentenced him to at least 10 years in prison followed by 10 years probation.

The city previously found the police department should have done more to protect the public after initial claims were made against Rose in 1995.

He was vindicated after gun experts and University of Michigan law students helped prove his innocence

On Tuesday, Ricks won a $7.5 million settlement by the city of Detroit

Ricks claimed police switched the bullets to frame him for the murder

The bullets that were used in the fatal shooting did not resemble the bullets examined at the trial decades earlier

During depositions in the lawsuit, even the city's expert acknowledged that the bullet analysis by the police lab decades ago was flat-out wrong

Ingraham used the age group of 0-17 to further bash Dr. Fauci. COVID isn't the problem now, it's Dr. Fauci.

Ingraham claims CDC figures say "during the last two flu seasons," 911 children and teenagers under 18 died of the flu.

By comparison, only 555 have died from COVID throughout the entire pandemic.

Laura Ingraham is telling Fox News viewers to not protect their babies, children, and young adults because of Dr. Fauci.

A public service video from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department about the dangers of fentanyl — with footage of a deputy allegedly overdosing after brief exposure — has sparked a backlash and allegations that the anti-drug effort could harm the very people it’s meant to help: law enforcement officers and drug users.

The body-worn camera video is stark and dramatic. A young sheriff’s deputy opens the back of a suspect‘s car, sees a white powder he thinks is fentanyl and then collapses to the pavement. His field training officer rips open a package of naloxone, the antidote to the deadly drug, and vows: “I’m not going to let you die.”

The video ends with Sheriff Bill Gore warning that “being exposed to just a few small grains of fentanyl could have deadly consequences.”

There’s just one problem. The risks of so-called passive exposure to synthetic opioids such as fentanyl are overblown, according to interviews with medical experts and scientific studies. Such inaccurate messaging is instilling unnecessary fear in first responders, they said, and could cause them to be reluctant to treat people who have overdosed.

Kool Kop Karen With The Pepper Spray Gets Paid Vacation

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester police officers involved in the pepper spraying of a 9-year-old girl have been suspended, city officials confirmed Monday.

Update 5 p.m. ET Feb. 1: The New York city has not identified the officers involved in the incident but did release body camera footage on Sunday documenting the child’s apprehension and detainment following a “family disturbance” call on Friday afternoon.

According to WROC, the city has not confirmed how many officers have been suspended but noted the suspensions would remain in effect until at least the conclusion of the internal investigation of Friday’s events that Rochester Mayor Lovely Ann Warren called “simply horrible.”

The Austin City Council voted today to purchase one hotel and turn it into 60 units of permanent supportive housing for people experiencing chronic homelessness. The vote to purchase a second hotel has been postponed to next week after a city council member asked for more time to gather feedback from her constituents.

Under the measure, the city will spend approximately $6.7 million from its Housing and Planning Department’s general obligation bonds to acquire one hotel and use some money from a recurring $6.5 million fund taken from the police department’s budget to provide services to the residents of the hotel. At full occupancy (which wouldn’t happen this year), services and operating costs for the hotel are expected to be about $1.6 million annually.

Many have been talking about the graphic video that showed a Tacoma police officer driving out of a group of people crowded around his car during a street racing event in Tacoma on Saturday night.

It has become a flashpoint for some activists with regards to how the officer acted and police accountability issues in general. One of the claimed organizers of the event contacted the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH to give their side of what happened.

Members of Congress who refuse to go through newly installed metal detectors to enter the House Chamber will pay.

Saying it's a tragic but necessary step right now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says all members must go thru the metal detectors to keep the people's House safe.

But some lawmakers have refused including Texas Republicans Chip Roy and Louis Gohmert, so the House is imposing fines.

Starting next week members of Congress who refuse will be fined $5,000 for their first refusal, $10,000 for the second, and they'll have to pay. The fines will be deducted from paychecks.

Earlier this week the House agreed to fine lawmakers who refused to wear masks on the House floor, those fines range from 500 to $2,500.

A Northern California man impersonating Santa Claus and flying on a powered parachute was rescued Sunday after he became entangled in power lines, authorities said.

The incident happened shortly after the man took off near a school in Rio Linda to deliver candy canes to children in his community. He flew into a maze of power lines and wound up suspended in them, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman told KCRA-TV.

Jeffrey Toobin, a prominent writer and CNN's chief legal analyst, was fired from The New Yorker on Wednesday after he accidentally exposed himself to colleagues with the New Yorker and WNYC during a Zoom call last month.

"I am writing to share with you that our investigation regarding Jeffrey Toobin is complete, and as a result, he is no longer affiliated with our company," Stan Duncan, chief people officer at Condé Nast, which owns the New Yorker, wrote in an email to employees.

"I want to assure everyone that we take workplace matters seriously," Duncan added. "We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels respected and upholds our standards of conduct."

Toobin confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, "I was fired today by @NewYorker after 27 years as a Staff Writer. I will always love the magazine, will miss my colleagues, and will look forward to reading their work."

A hateful woman hurled a glass bottle at a Black woman jogging in Queens, video shows, and told her to “go back to Africa n----r," according to a police source.

The 37-year-old victim, who lives in the Woodside neighborhood, did not report the Aug. 17 incident on 53rd Place and Broadway until a friend saw the witness video on social media.

The video released by cops Wednesday shows the suspect sipping from the bottle as she approaches the corner, then suddenly hurl it at a Black woman running by.

“Get out, get the f--k out and go back to Africa, n----r!" the suspect yells, according to the source.

The victim turns around and appears confused, then jumps out of the way to avoid the bottle, the video shows.

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident, police said.

SWOP Behind Bars uses a harm reduction framework to offer various resources, community-building projects, educational programs, and advocacy to end violence and stigma against sex workers in the criminal justice system. This includes those currently incarcerated and those seeking re-entry services.

Just months after Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed a new bill prohibiting gay couples from adopting, the state is getting a new foster care organization exclusively serving LGBTQ+ homeless youth.

True You TN is in the beginning stages of opening, having just acquired their 501(c)3 and preparing to fundraise. The group, founded by Executive Director Stephanie Lowe, will build a group home for LGBTQ+ teens and youth and recently moved into their first office space.

True You will be the first group home to serve exclusively LGBTQ+ youth in the state, working to help the nearly 40 percent of homeless youth who identify as queer. Lowe said her own past drove her to create the organization, and although she has reconciled with her family, her coming out at 30 years old didn’t go as planned.

Last month, some of us were given flack for questioning the “defund police” movement. Our suspicion was that liberals that have no interest in changing the racist system at large (particularly white liberals who have such a large stake in it) have ulterior motives in focusing on police only.

We predicted the growth of privatized police force would be the backhanded result of defunding public police because the powerful institutions supporting “defunding” have no interest in allowing the private and non-profit sectors to be separated from the enforcement arm of this capitalist system. The bar will be set even lower for accountability from police, in that case.

And here we are.

“It sounds like you’re getting rid of the police and you’re hiring your own private security force. So what we’re about to have is a bunch of [George] Zimmermans walking around making sure our little Trayvon Martins don’t get out of line,” said Whittier Elementary associate educator Rajel Johnson, who is also the father of a Whittier second-grader.

In an opening statement, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum asked for "extraordinary relief'' from the court, saying, "these actions if not restrained will further escalate. Black men are looking for a man who was captured on video hitting a woman in the face with a skateboard in Harlem. The video, which has since gone viral, shows the suspect standing close to the victim as they exchange a few words. When the victim stops talking and looks down, the suspect hits her across the face with his skateboard.

The victim falls to the ground without moving, and the suspect’s friends laugh at the incident. New York Police have indicated that the assault took place in Harlem, but it’s unclear exactly when. The footage was shared on social media on June 16 by Paris Milan and it has since received over 3 million views:

DETROIT – A Garden City man is suspected in the hit-and-run deaths of two women and the non-fatal hit-and-runs of two other women. Two of the victims were pregnant.

Lawrence Paul Mills III, 32, is believed to have targeted Caucasian sex workers on the southside of Detroit, Detroit police Chief James Craig said during a news conference. A 3-year investigation led police to believe he would approach his victims for a paid sex encounter and engage in the act inside his vehicle. When the victim left the vehicle, he would strike them with it and then reclaim his payment for the act.

A deadly attack at a Toronto erotic massage parlour three months ago is now being treated as an act of terrorism after police allegedly uncovered evidence it was inspired by misogynist incel ideology.

Charges against the suspect accused of carrying out the Feb. 24 stabbing attack, which killed a woman and injured another, were updated in court on Tuesday to “murder — terrorist activity.”

The suspect, who cannot be named because he is a minor, was also charged with terrorism for the alleged attempted murder of the woman who survived.

He was already facing first-degree and attempted murder charges, but the development means police believe the incident was terrorism-related.

The women were forced to live and work in filth and near darkness, the federal agent said, surviving on only the tips they received from performing massages and sexual favors.

Lon Weigand, the deputy special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Arizona, described them as “Asian females” who may be sex-trafficking victims. He praised the joint operation between federal agents and local police in western Arizona that led to their rescue and credited the “investigative techniques” that helped crack a “transnational criminal organization.”

The mural is located outside of The Center, an Orlando LGBTQ advocacy organization.

City Set to Cancel Rent for Airport Stores, Restaurants, Rental Car Companies Amid Pandemic

With O’Hare and Midway airports deserted amid the coronavirus pandemic, stores, restaurants and rental car companies are set to get a two-month break on most of the rent they owe to the city under a proposal that cleared a key city panel Friday.

The City Council’s Aviation Committee unanimously advanced the measure, which Aviation Commissioner Jamie Rhee said was needed to help businesses that were not eligible for federal relief.

The measure, which is scheduled to be approved Wednesday, also includes relief for advertising companies Clear Channel and JC Decaux, as well as Boingo Wireless, which provides internet service at O’Hare and Midway.

Businesses that accept the help would have to agree not to fire any of their employees, Rhee said, adding that she would personally hold the companies responsible for complying with that requirement.

In addition to the two-month rent waiver for stores and restaurants inside the terminals, businesses would not have to pay the city rent based on a percentage of their sales or a minimum amount based on their receipts from the previous year, whichever is greater.

Those payments would be deferred — with no interest — until sales recover to 75% of last year, Rhee said. That deferral could last up to three years, Rhee said.

The coronavirus has been exploding across the South. In a dozen Southern states, there have been nearly 65,000 confirmed cases and more than 1,700 deaths.

The death rate from the virus in Louisiana is the second-highest in the U.S. Many victims there had underlying conditions. The most common factor is high blood pressure.

Governor John Bel Edwards reported 70 new deaths Tuesday and said they're still bracing for the worst.

There's an alarming disparity in the state: more than 70% of the coronavirus deaths are African Americans, who comprise only 32% of the population.

SEATTLE -- The Seattle City Council unanimously passed a resolution calling on Governor Jay Inslee, federal legislators, and the White House administration to place a moratorium on rent and mortgage payments for homes and businesses.

The resolution was introduced by Councilmember Tammy Morales who represents District 2, South Seattle and the CID.

“I hate to say it, but we’re in for several months or longer of people being in crisis,” said Morales. “We need to make sure that our mom-and-pop business owners, our neighbors down the street, your sister who just got laid off are also getting the relief they need to weather this crisis.”

Jasper Rose started the Facebook page “Seattle Rent Strike,” after seeing an international movement of people calling for financial aid after losing their ability to earn income.

So, she’s considering a job at Safeway since the grocer is hiring.

Morales said this is a nationwide effort, with elected leaders in California and New York also calling for housing relief for renters, landlords, and homeowners.

McDonald’s is pushing for changes to a coronavirus relief bill that would require its restaurants across the US — 95% which are owned by franchisees — to give workers two weeks of paid sick leave, describing it as an effort to protect franchisees’ financials.

The fast-food giant has been lobbying the Trump administration and Congress to alter a bill that would require employers with 50 to 500 workers to provide two weeks of paid sick leave, executives said on an internal conference call on Monday. McDonald’s has pushed back against plans to use a tax credit to cover the cost, which executives said would fail to protect franchisees.

“We know that the funding mechanism and the repayment timing could cripple small-business owners,” David Tovar, McDonald’s vice president of US communications, said on the call, a recording of which was obtained by Business Insider.

Tovar said McDonald’s was “pulling out all the stops to work with” the National Franchisee Leadership Alliance, “owner-operators, our trade partners, our friends in Congress, congressional leaders, and anyone who can make a difference to fix the bill.”

With so little info on Sh'Killa being public knowledge, we're left so speculate.

My best guess is that she dropped her album in her late teens up to maybe 21 years old.

She rolled with Brandi (Gripsta) Younger of whom dropped at record at 13 in the year 1993 via Ice T. So we know she's friends with aperson born in 1980 which would make it fitting for my idea that 16 was the youngest probable that Sh'Killa dropped her album.

The album opens with the sonically strong "Got Em Twisted" where the concept of the record is that this group of cis men are being mentally disturbed and stalked by something and they think it's Sh'Killa.

The last verse is Sh'Killa rapping from the perspective of the PennyWise like Villain.

A woman who threw a bucket of human feces at her landlord claims she meant to soak the victim in water, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they were called to a trailer on Reed Ellis Road in Osteen around 5:15 p.m. Saturday and found the victim dripping wet with feces and the suspect, Joanne Mercader, with dried feces caked on her face.

Mercader initially claimed that the victim, a 65-year-old woman, entered the trailer and immediately reached for the bucket of feces and tried to throw it on her as a means of eviction, according to the affidavit.

Alexander resigned from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon shortly after his arrest in March 2016.

Prosecutors say Alexander met the 15-year-old Meridian boy through the dating app Grindr and traveled to Idaho to have sex with him twice in 2015. The boy’s mother contacted authorities after discovering inappropriate text messages on his phone.

Alexander’s lawyer said the former deputy did not know the teen was underage. The boy told Alexander he was 18 turning 19, and a college student at Boise State.
