We do things to be seen by our Father in heaven, not to be seen by those around us. Because when we do thing in order to be seen by others, the recognition and attention will be all the reward we get; we will be paid in full for whatever we did. But when we do things in order to be seen by our Father, we will get an eternal reward from Him. Let us ensure we have the right hearts when we do what we do. Let's dive in.

Jesus isn't against oaths and vows; the Law and the Lord actually promoted making vows in the His name. But the people had created loopholes through this command to makes vows in the Lord's name and gave themselves the liberty to be deceptive. This is what Jesus was against. Zeal Young Adults has entered its 3rd year of being a ministry! On the night that it launched, Pastor Abel shared a message entitled "Zeal in the Ordinary" where he encouraged us to be excited for what the Lord is doing even in the moments of life that are boring and ordinary because those days are all leading up to the highlights of our lives. To use the time of normal and mundane to grow in the Lord and prepare for the big moments that God is preparing for us, be they good or bad. We revisit that message and hear from a few people who have been coming to Zeal over the past 2 years to see how that encouragement from 2 years ago has played out in our lives.

Jesus takes the issue of sexual immorality to a much deeper level than anyone expected. As has been the case throughout this entire Sermon on the Mount, the issue is the heart. We must guard and govern ourselves well. We must grow closer to Jesus so that when we are tempted by the enemy we can respond from the depths of our hearts with, "I just don't want to."
