A very emotional PMS-y driven rant: I get vulnerable in front of the internet once again. This phase of my life feels surreal, like time moving so fast yet so slow. Or is it the pandemic fatigue talking? I'm not so sure of anything anymore.

Adulting can be tough, especially in an uncertain period of time where you're robbed of the opportunities to carry out responsibilities in the real world (in person). The thought of meeting up with people face to face makes me slightly uncomfortable and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

P.S. As I was listening to the playback I realized that I kept saying DIGRESS... which makes no sense in the context. I mean to say DEGRESS.. okay turns out I'm not even sure if its a real word. But basically, the opposite of progress...

Today I go through some of your guys' entries on the things that grind your gears and share some anecdotes~ like how I hate it when people respond "I know" in a condescending manner or when I see kids wearing headphones or earphones when they're out eating with them family... EUCK!

It's been a long long year since the panini started... today's discussion is on how it has robbed me (being an introvert) of my barely-there social skills... and now after a year of being in isolation, can't carry a real life conversation without feeling self-conscious or anxious. I ramble on for a bit on the potential toxicity of having the "main character" mindset and give you some random updates on my life since the last time I was on here.

As you can see from the title... today I discuss the pros and cons (mostly cons) of friendships with... a friend- the second guest to come onto this podcast, Fitri. We've been friends for a while now, and we both feel the same way about the friends in our life - LEFT OUT (just kidding...unless?) It's all fun and games until you open Instagram...

Introducing... the first episode recorded at home! I wasn't sitting on the floor though... so call this Desk Party instead. It's been such a long time and I'm back stronger than ever. Now that I have a home setup, I have the liberty of recording anytime I want, so expect a lot more consistent uploads from today onwards :-) I also need a pop filter ASAP so excuse the slightly lowered sound quality before I get everything right to a T.

This episode features my first ever guest on this podcast... none other than my brother, Travis. We discussed one of our (more of mine) PET PEEVES: the extremely socially acceptable and deeply embedded habits of Singaporeans (at least all the ones I've ever met): LATE CULTURE, where "I'm 5 minutes away" means "I'm half an hour away" and "Let's meet at 4" really means "I'll arrive anytime between 4-5". What are the reasons that we think are acceptable for the other party to be late? What is the motivation (or lack thereof) of the person to disregard and disrespect another person's time? I've never understood this part of local culture and I don't think I ever will.. no one has the right to determine the value of my time. Period.

This is only the second episode and I dive into making myself vulnerable, speaking about personal growth, insecurities, and being way too self conscious for my own good. I compare uni vs. poly culture, and dabble a bit on design school culture. It took me 3 years (and counting) to realize that no one is actually paying half the attention to me as compared to what I've convinced myself to think.

The first episode is finally here! I would like to thank Tiffany for helping me record and edit; Desirée for starting the podcast artwork; Athalia for finishing up the final touches of the artwork and pulling everything together. I've been wanting to start this podcast since last September/October...it feels super surreal to start this journey in a position of vulnerability on the internet but I'm beyond excited for what's to come. I hope you enjoy listening to me ramble as much as I enjoy doing so. Here's to (virtually) lying on the floor together <3
