Prayer does so much for us! Prayer taps into something bigger than ourselves - the Love that brings all things together in Universal Oneness of balance and harmony. With its connection to a Higher Power (whatever name it is given) we:
have better mental and physical health that results in less stress and a longer life span;
drop the ego and embrace humility; and
-with faith we shift our burdens to a higher frequency that has a holistic viewpoint that facilitates outcomes better than we could ever imagine.
Prayer is the opportunity for an open and ongoing conversation with the Source of All There Is. Our guest, Shea Maultsby, discusses the "perfect" prayer and it's elements - the key element being gratitude.
Unless we have been actively energetically protecting ourselves, worry about everyday life is exaggerated to the point where it preoccupies our minds. Survival programs are fiercely running overtime in the background of daily existence impacting thoughts, mental and physical health, and actions in response to an overload of fearful scenarios being painted to disillusion.
Everything we need for happiness and fulfillment already resides within us. It flows from an infinite source of pure potential. We just need to tap into it.
In this podcast we’ll discuss how to protect and promote balance and well-being despite the state of your environment using meditative frequency. Our guest, Kelly Howard, is a brain whisperer, meditation guide, and the creator of Brain Sync Technology all designed to awaken your imagination, reprogram your mind, and transform your life. Find out more about Kelly Howard here.
There's a groundbreaking new model, called the Ten Terrains Of Consciousness, that explains what is going on beneath the surface of human behavior and civilization. This model establishes ten fundamental paradigms that are unfolding in our world, and the vast implications for this discovery.
Your Terrain of Consciousness is the perceptual lens through which you view the world. It governs the fundamental way you interface with life and therefore creates the way you think, your worldview, your beliefs, your values, your behavior and all your actions. It's your core operating system."
Our guests, Allen D. Reed and Tahnee Woolf discuss how to use this knowledge to improve your relationships, health, wealth, mental outlook, and more! To find out more check ou their website . Find out what your terrains is by doing the quiz at www.tenterrains.com/quiz. Want more? Watch their YouTube series about Covid, they can see it at www.youtube.com/tenterrains

Though we sometimes struggle to find our uniqueness, nothing is impossible when we hold the sacred space of "I AM". Yet, when we gently release the burden of who we are not, who we are shines brilliantly.
Our guest, author, intuitive, and speaker, Darlene Green reminds us that being in the Now moment means bringing all of you present to the singular point of awareness that has you being breathed by Love. When you connect to your wholeness, you not only connect with your divine essence, mission and voice, you connect more deeply to your physical experience. Join us as we discuss accessing that deeper connection by being in service to Love.
Pregnancy and birth don’t stop during a pandemic. Preparing for a new baby during this time adds an extra degree of stress to an already challenging environment. While birthing plans may have to change, and hospital rules are shifting about who can be present for support and delivery, this crisis gives us the opportunity to re-look at alternative birth methods that either don’t involve going to the hospital or limit time in the hospital.
The disparities and shortcomings of healthcare system are also being highlighted during this pandemic. As a result of all of this, midwives and doulas are seeing increased interest in birthing at home.
We also get to look at how technology can be used for a more comforting pre, during, and post-birthing experience to minimize stress on both mother and child.
Our guest, Haize Hawke Rosen, is a healer and ceremonialist who currently practices as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, Child Birth Educator, and Peer Lactation Consultant. Join us as she discusses holistic pregnancy and birth during the pandemic, and addresses women's health.
With unemployment at ~15% nationally in the U.S., and the potential that many of the layoffs people expect to be temporary will actually becoming permanent, we need to shift our perspective on what jobs, careers and work looks like during and post pandemic.
This virus presents a unique opportunity to further automate the workplace, as the era of the brick and mortar worker is declining. This is a time for us to use our creativity to begin work that uses our unique skillset and fills a need for this new world order. It's time to examine what skills and resources we can bring to this new economy, as well as understand where there are skill gaps.
Our guest, Career Coach Chandra Russell, has already begun ensuring her clientele are prepared for the long and short term. She will discuss what careers are hot, which will disappear, and why entrepreneurship will continue to soar to keep you polished, positioned, and powerful for changing times.

As entrepreneurs and small business owners we often fail to give marketing the attention it well deserves to foster maximum business growth. Since we are playing the game, we need to know the rules and have the cheat sheet.
January was a time for reassessment. If you haven't already done it, now is the time for redirection of resources and energy to focus on how we spend limited marketing dollars and energy for both near and long term business growth and personal branding.
Often in trying to sell our product or service, we lose sight of the fact that marketing is all about CUSTOMER perception. So the main focus is on meeting people's needs, and technology is our tool to do that. Technology has also provided the small marketer with a flatter playing field.
Our guest, Lela Woodward, shares some capabilities, technologies and trends that are critical to the success of your marketing program in 2020. The Brand Lela, Inc. team affords clients and their customer an authentic, innovative and creative experience that increases brand awareness and desired goal conversion. Join the show as she shares marketing magic. Find out more about The Brand Lela here.
We all know about using life insurance as a wealth building tool for beneficiaries of death benefit. Yet the masses are generally uneducated about how life insurance can be used to build and retain wealth for the insured - while living.
Consider the following:
We are in an era of unstable markets where a volatile 401k becomes more of a gamble than an investment,
Our nation has a growing trillion dollar deficit that threatens the old paradigm of save now, tax later at a lower rate, and
Guaranteed company pension plans are virtually a thing of the past.
Have you adjusted your wealth building strategy for this reality?
Our guests, Okolo Schwinn-Clanton, Freedom Equity Group and Mark Purnell, CIMA financial wizards and insurance gurus share how insurance transcends traditional wealth building techniques. Join the show for a paradigm shift to release unwealthy habits. Find out more about Okolo Schwinn-Clanton and best selling author Mark Purnell, CIMA.
The Urban Dictionary defines guap as "a considerable amount of money, indicating a high degree of purchasing power for fast depreciated consumer items such as luxury cars and electronics. Guap Founder, Tavonia Evans and team are transforming that definition, transcending the energy of guap to a higher frequency.
Realigned, Guap is a valuable digital currency that fosters economic empowerment to allow a high degree of purchasing power for all products and services while appreciating personal wealth and currency circulation in the user community leading to financial freedom. (Visualize energy flowing into the community, instead of being sucked out.)
Our guest, Tavonia Evans, developer, tech scientist, cryptodiva, and mompreneur shares this evolution of money from both a professional and intuitive perspective. Join the show as we dive into the Cryptoverse and celebrate Black History. Find out more about Tavonia and Guap coin here.
As the legal hemp market in the USA soars into billions of dollars in revenue in 2019, a 107% annual growth rate is predicted by 2023 with further room to expand. So it's still a great time for entrepreneurs to successfully board the CBD (Cannabidiol) train while it's still heading out the station. As more people realize the therapeutic and health benefits of using CBD, there's no wonder why there is such a huge buzz around this continually developing market.
The CBD industry is projected to hit $20 billion in sales by 2024.
This potential has lead many to ask: "How do I start a CBD business, especially in an environment where the legal landscape is still not concrete?"
Our guest, Alison Owen-Greene, PH.D healthcare consultant and owner of Cannabiz Plan Consulting Products and Services, LLC freely shares this information. The future of the CBD market is exciting. Now is an ideal time to get started in the industry. Join us to find out more.

If you have any question about the necessity of using time and space to retreat from a busy or chaotic life, take a look at the definition of the word retreat to see what is occurring:
Re-treat verb: withdraw from enemy forces as a result of their superior power or
noun: an act of going back or away (especially from something dangerous, difficult, or disagreeable)
The lives most of us live are full of distractions and “enemy” forces. This includes the constant media push of marketing information that says we are never enough, long workdays that don’t allow one to focus on their unique selves, and the onslaught of electronic waves that disrupt our natural body frequencies.
In Truth, we have the potential for unlimited growth, limitless compassion and wisdom, and abundance beyond our dreams. Yet, we can never come close to this state when we live in an environment made to reinforce chaos.
The more removed from nature we are, the greater the distraction.
Retreats are purposeful getaways from the forces that attempt to program and dominate our being to allow us to return to a state of balance. Unlike a vacation, where we are seeking outward experiences a retreat provides us with an inward healing experience. In this space, removed from familiar surroundings, circumstances and routine, our creative self is free to emerge. We think of solutions, forge new directions and return home refreshed, and on a higher trajectory.
Our guest, Satya, is a healer and entrepreneur who created Women of Color Healing Retreats. Staya’s mission is to help others spiritually blossom. Find out more about Satya and WOCHR at https://www.womenofcolorhealingretreats.com/. Join the show to find out more about the value in retreat, and how she combines entrepreneurship, giving back, and spirituality.

From the throat chakra we are able to speak and thus live our truth; negative experiences can be transformed into wisdom and facilitate openintg to higher levels of consciousness.
Join us as balance the throat chakra through knowledge, affirmation, and meditation.
The heart chakra governs our ability to love unconditionally and to heal. As this healing occurs we begin moving beyond focus on a separate self, towards focus on relationship and connection. It's here that we begin, reaching for the heavens.
Join us as we balance this chakra with a chakra overview, affirmation and meditation.
The solar plexus chakra is where the Will Power comes from that fosters our ability to achieve, self-esteem, raw emotions, and self-discipline. For this energy center we obtain a mental understanding of our emotional self.
Join us as we discuss this chakra, affirm and meditate for it's balance and vitality.
Balancing the sacral or second chakra allows us to creatively deal with life experiences and develop a response informed by our emotional patterns and knowledge. One step above survival and safety, it's vibrancy determines our sense of ease, pleasure, creativity, and flow, allowing life to be enjoyable.
Join us in a chakra overview, meditation, and discussion.

As Bitcoin makes its way to the masses, many people are wondering if they are missing out... or if it's just another ponzy scheme. To add to the confusion there are over 1,300 crypto coins out there. It's pretty much an unregulated field; so there is a need for caution and education. Most people get into crypto with the hope of making quick and easy money, rather than the vision or the change that the block chain technology platform that crypto currency resides on will bring. It's not either or, and of course the two will go hand in hand to lead to economic freedom. Financially sidelined segments of the population now can have access to increased wealth.
It's important to get informed. You enter this market at your own risk. Our guest, Tavonia Evans, presents crypto currency basics from both a professional and intuitive perspective. She has created her own coin called "guap", to represent wealth building in the Black community. Join the show to learn more. Find out more about Tavonia and Guap coin here.
The requirement for standardized teaching and testing sets us up for standardized children; which means it sets our children up for failure. It also creates an environment where teachers who inspire critical thinking to help youth to discover their uniqueness become the exception rather than the rule. While the U.S., spends at the top of the spectrum per student (only Norway and Switzerland spend more), there’s no correlation to the betterment of the lives of students. We have to ask the question “is our school system failing our children, or are we failing to support our school system?
On this segment we’ll discuss: bullying (teachers not students), corruption and abuse of power, nepotism, wasted tax payer dollars, and a system that prizes test scores above critical thinking and literacy.
Yet where there is a problem, there is always a creative and transformative solution. Public education needs innovative approaches for the delivery of teaching and learning - one that addresses the students, not the system.
Our guest, Nzinga Felix, invites us to take an uncensored look into the dysfunctional system that squanders our tax dollars and cripples our children, and how we can foster the change we want to see.
Nzinga is a certified School Counselor, a certified Bully Prevention Specialist and member of the American School Counselors Association (ASCA), a college instructor, a former elementary school teacher, a certified yoga instructor, an author, a State Director with the Teacher Defense System (TDS) and entrepreneur. Her book, 100 Days in Hell, tells her story of working in an environment that perpetually challenged her passion. Currently, Nzinga is following her passion by infusing education with helping and advocating for others by living purposely, fully and intentionally.
On our quest towards spiritual enlightenment we've read and learned a lot to facilitate "unlearning" and expansive experiences. Still there seems to be something missing. Could it be that we still have been focusing on evolution versus involution? Evolution is changing the stuff around us; whereas involution is true awakening to Self. Involution takes us to Wholeness. Learning how do deal with both worlds brings harmony and balance. We take all the information and inspiration that we have gathered to go deeper still on an inner quest. This is a deep jump into Self (where no one else can boldly go) to discover our uniqueness, turn on, tune in and drop out of the mundane and get to the level that we are truly looking for.
Our guest Sevan Bomar, is wholly committed to the universal transformation of Humanity and spiritual activation for all organic Beings. Sevan has spent the last 7 years sharing sharing esoteric knowledge that he has amassed over lifetimes, in an unorthodox way. His self published book The Code to the Matrix, and businesses Secret Energy, Spiritech, and the Innerversity are examples of the depth of knowing that he shares. Sevan is a Keymaster to the truth who teaches us how to make our own keys to stop cycling through the matrix and become true sovereign beings through our own consciousness.

What happens when we start looking at the flip side of the way that we are used to seeing things? Paradigm shifts are revealed. If we shifted our kaleidoscope of perspective 180 degrees right or left, we’d find alternative possibilities and alternative truths. Possibilities are triggered that allow us to know that we are great! We find expansion beyond the limiting truths that we have been taught to believe. The genius is common movement is such a paradigm shift. It says, genius is inert versus a right reserved for a select few. Knowing genius is common is raw power, because it means that genius is inside of you.
Our guest, Bruce George, founder of ”Genius is Common” an anti-elitist Movement, states that the word "Genius applies to all people. Since we all are geniuses; we all have a genius seed in us." We just need to nourish it. Join the show as we discuss breathing life into your inner genius.
Our brains have far more control over our bodies than we previously understood. Traumas such as illness, chemical exposure or injury can trigger the brain to lock itself in "fight or flight" mode in an effort to protect us. But in this reactive state, brain and body can't return to normal functioning. Instead, we deteriorate with a cascade of worsening symptoms. Too often, doctors deem the condition a mystery, and patients are left desperate for help. But this "mystery" condition can be treated by addressing the brain itself. The brain has a remarkable ability to reset itself - called neuroplasticity. By learning how to rewire our brain, we can undo the malfunction and start on the road to recovery.
Our guest, Annie Hopper, has developed a new treatment for chronic illness and pain call Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS), which helps people reclaim their health and regain their lives by remapping the brain. Unable to find a cure for her mysterious ailment, she created a cure, and has helped thousands to heal. Her book, Wired for Healing - Remapping the Brain to Recover from Chronic and Mysterious Illnesses, awakens us to the power of the brain used consciously. Join the show to find out how the brain is reset.
The womb is a woman's center of creativity. While obviously expressed through physical birth, this creativity also occurs metaphysically as the point of tapping into Source Energy to birth new ideas and paradigms that foster raising consciousness levels. This is the gift of the divine feminine. Healing the womb allows us to re-own and harmonize this power to be the wonder woman that is our birthright. Conversely, when the womb is neglected or disrespected, energy blockages occur that are experienced as disease in the body or the inability to create the life we want. Herein lies a root to the imbalance we see in the world today.
Our guest, Rev. High Priestess Thema Azize Serwa, will discuss standing in our raw unapologetic power by healing the womb. She invites us to listen to our womb to heal anything, come alive and be open to our birthright.
Rev. High Priestess Thema Azize Serwa is the founder of The Womb Sauna, which supports women worldwide with an indigenous method of vaginal steaming and education to know that we are powerful enough to heal ourselves.
Learn more about The Womb Sauna here. Also listen to her womb healing meditation.
Hippocrate's axiom "Let your food be your medicine, and your medicine your food" reflects divine order. Mother Nature's gift of foods will always be more effective than a synthetic drug, simply because the body recognizes the chemical makeup as a food and receives the message to activate the properties of that food. Thinking of food as medicine also promotes eating to live with vitality, instead of living to eat for pleasure alone. Every morsel that we put in our body either adds to or subtracts from a wholesome state of being.
Our guest, Kendra Jeffress Martin embodies this axiom with her edible medibles desserts that nourish the body and are designed to encourage the natural healing process. Join the show as Kendra shares her passion for creating tasty nutrient rich food.

New age children born today learn with the speed of knowing, and remember things we've yet to recall as adults! They come ready for paradigm shifts in how we work and play. Yet are we ready for them? Do we know how to nurture them on a path that may be different than ours? As a parent or child care giver, it's amazingly rewarding when we tap into a child's intuitive nature and give them language for what they already feel and know from their Being.
Our guest, Sandra Jones-Keller, has written a simple book to assist us in communicating with and empowering an indigo child called "21 Lessons to Empower the New Age Kid". Join us as she shares tips, techniques and stories on coaching "old souls that are wise beyond their years, are connected with and aware of their divine essence, have a remembrance of past lives, are clear, certain, intuitive, kind, forgiving, gentle, loving, and naturally joy-filled and generous." Whew! They are all that!
Sandra Jones-Keller is a home school mom, Intuitive Pregnancy Coach and Spiritual Healer. She has studied & practiced Universal Law for over 20 years. She holds a B.S. in Public Administration and facilitates workshops and on-line videos discussing new age kids. Find out more about her here.
Did you know that over 450,000 people die a year from preventable medical errors? True health care makes you better, not dependent, more unhealthy and certainly doesn't kill you. So why is the public taking more and more drugs without improvement, and often being harmed? It's increasingly evident that profit focused pharmaceutical companies have a lot to lose when competing with food & medicine that cures. This is made clear to us when inexpensive and highly effective treatments are not made known to the general public. Instead, practitioners often are lead to prescribe expensive products that ironically bear the name medicine. Yet there are practitioners and advocates who work to spread the truth about this industry entrusted with our well being.
Our guest, Alison Greene is such an advocate. As a Consultant, she works tirelessly to help both individuals and businesses navigate through the complex web of the health care system. She created the television show, IT'S YOUR LIFE, to get out the message and share solutions on our health care issues. Where ever there is a problem, a solution can be found.

Earlier in the month, many of us made resolutions to better manage our finances. Fast forward just a few weeks, how are you doing? Have you stayed focused? Or are you feeling resistance to carrying out the very plans that you set for yourself? If it's the latter, a little financial direction and inspiration is in order.
Since money represents energy, the lack or presence of an abundance of it comes from our sense of well being around the very thought of money. A lack would reflect that we can't get monetary energy momentum going. And since it is an abundant universe, it is we who are blocking our own blessings. We just need to figure out how we are doing it. Our special guest, Kara Stevens is here to help and share tips on how to stop self sabotage, assess financial health, and manage finances to ensure a positive outcome by the end of the year.
Kara is dedicated to empowering others to thrive financially in both life and business. Her motto is: "Be Happy. Be Wealthy. Be Brave." To find out more about Kara Stevens, check out her website The Frugal Feminista, and join the discussion.

It combines traditional Western astrology with metaphysics to tap into the fullness of existence. It's a multi-dimensional look both inward and outward.
Our special guest, Sonja Marie, Intuitive Astrologer, writer and founder of WordLife Astrology challenges and stimulates us to: "be on your mission to examine yourself in full, because only then can you put faith in every step you take." Our special guest, Kara Stevens, is here to help and share tips on how to stop self sabotage, assess financial health, and manage finances to ensure a positive outcome by the end of the year.
Kara is dedicated to empowering others to thrive financially in both life and business. Her motto is: "Be Happy. Be Wealthy. Be Brave." Join the discussion.
Detoxing has been debated and debunked, and there are ongoing dilemmas about whether it does more help than harm. But done right, it’s not just good for your body; coming clean is good for one’s life!
Cleansing our system of the heavy metals, hormones and plastics in so much of what we eat, drink and breathe often shakes loose a toxic buildup of emotions as well. So while we focus on key physical areas: the gut, kidneys, and liver; we need to let go of the emotional “baggage,” negative thoughts, and old, stagnant lifestyle patterns too. The result is not just a body upheaval, but a transformation on multiple levels.
The best medicine is to look at our health as a whole – getting rid of all toxins, including those in body, mind, and spirit. Join the discussion!

This book makes us think about the barter and trade that we've come to call love. In "The Mastery of Love", don Miguel Ruiz illuminates the fear-based beliefs and assumptions that undermine love and lead to suffering and drama in our relationships. He also illuminates a path to true love that can change the way that we relate to everything and everyone.
It's a quick read for the month dedicated to love relationships. Join the SIS Book Club Discussion as we continue our journey of Self Love.
Day 12 ready! Our two-week journey to Unsubscribe from Limiting Beliefs seems to fly by; and we're not done yet. In fact we are never done. Spiritual evolution is our life long journey. We'll talk about the release process, and saying goodbye to one aspect of life where we chose to transcend to a higher vibration. Join the discussion!
JOIN THE DISCUSSION!
Who: You
What: Unsubscribe from beliefs, stories, people, place and things
When: Starting September 13, 2015 with the new moon (new reflection, new you!)
Where: Your inner sanctum and on SIS Empowerment Radio
Why: There's power in unity!
How: Vibe higher - we're shifting to a higher frequency together. We'll each start with one thing that we have resistance to that is blocking a goal we'd like to achieve. For two weeks we'll go hard at identifying, discussing, shifting our perception and transmuting that energy of resistance to a higher vibration.
In honor of Dr. Wayne Dyer's transition and contributions to changing limited thoughts, we will also read (or re-read) Dr. Dyer's famed "The Erroneous Zones" and have an ongoing FB group discussion.
Your mission (should you accept): Identify the steps you will take over the two week period to get you over the hurdle of resistance and on the path to completion or freedom. DO AT LEAST TWO KEY STEPS DAILY. This discipline becomes a holy ritual.
Joint mission: Healing juice for clarity once a day (recipe to follow), meditation at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. (You determine the length.) Light a 1 week white candle each week (light the 2nd before the 1st goes out)
Our mantra: I am that I am, holy life that I am. I now transmute the energy of _______ into the higher vibratory tone of _______.
Our goal: with no judgment, observe and shift with the gentleness of self love

Human beings are ever evolving. As we shine a fiery light of focus inward upon ourselves, we can hasten our evolution to our best selves. As the singer Prince says, we can literally "work it all out this lifetime!" Our guest, Jessica Ballew, of J.E.S.S.I.C.A Cares will provide seven tips for SUCCESS - one for each day of the week, closing the gap between the desire for success and achieving success. These 7 steps utilize the word S.U.C.C.E.S.S. as an acronym (note the word itself contains seven letters). We will discuss each tip to provide you, the listener, with practical ideas to support achievement of your higher self - thus achieving success!
Even when we understand that our kitchen is our medicine cabinet, we can still fail to eat our way to optimal health. This is true when we are not fully educated in holistic nutrition. Holistic nutrition is the natural approach to developing a healthy, balanced diet while taking into account the individual as a whole. This includes consciously choosing (and eating!) healthy foods that foster vibrant physical and mental health. These foods promote a strong immune system and prevent disease and act as nutraceuticals. Nutraceuticals (versus pharmaceuticals) also control or reverse most existing health issues.
The good thing is that you don’t have to figure this out alone. Holistic nutritionists understand the mind, body, spirit trinity as it relates to the individual. They take the headache and guesswork out of meal planning for vibrant living. Our guest, Madea Allen, the Organic Soul Chef, is such a nutritionist. Madea exemplifies the power of having high quality holistic nutrition and culinary coaching to personally get it right, when one wants to improve their health through diet.
Madea Allen is a certified health coach through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and began her private practice in which she teaches clients not only what to eat, but how to eat. Find out more about The Organic Soul Chef.
If life is a blank canvas waiting for us to paint our vision, ever wonder why so many of us have not yet painted our masterpiece? It may be that we have not given our life the proper focus to align the energy of change - to draw forth that next level of vibrational frequency that lifts us higher into the realm of thought fulfilling experience. We know it's possible; we may have even exercised this gift before. Yet the question is: "How do we remain consistent?" Mindfulness meditation is an entry into that portal. Our guest, Charles A. Francis, will explain how through simple and constant practice, we can gloriously paint the canvas that is our life.
Charles A. Francis, is the co-founder and director of the Mindfulness Meditation Institute. He has studied the practice of mindfulness with Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. For over 18 years, he has worked to help people find inner peace through mindfulness meditation.

How did being a senior citizen become associated with degeneration and uselessness instead of wisdom and leadership? In any other context, the word senior means someone who is advanced and respected in their field. We've developed a culture where senior citizens are robbed of their true identify - so much so that many seniors buy in to their very own dis-empowerment. Our guest, Veola Momom, is more than just a senior advocate, she is an example. At 71 years of age, Veola is moving, working and setting new heights for herself. She's dedicated to empowering senior citizens to bring forth their hidden treasures.
Her book, "OH MY ... I AM THE POWER!", is written to encourage senior citizens to clearly take back their identity and a guide to living a full and meaningful life.
Love is the highest form of vibrational harmony. It attracts all things into oneness, and constantly vibrates towards equilibrium. The society that we live in constantly injects fear into our world in an attempt to keep us unconscious and unaware “consumers” of low vibrational energy. This low vibration attracts chaos and the breakdown of peace and harmony that we see today around the world.
To help balance the energy of love, SIS is doing a 7 day chakra juice fast to balance the 7 chakras and clear the energy that we emit into the world so that it may be filled with more love. When our chakras are balanced, we raise our vibration to experience and extend a greater degree of love.
We will begin at sunset with an intention on the Spring Equinox and a raw juice that enhances each of the chakras. Then each day will be followed by a recipe and information for that chakra. We will conclude on March 28th with a break fast of the 7 chakra raw juice. For more information on juice fasting and foods that are good for the chakras visit www.fluidmagazinecom.
You’ll have to shop to be prepared to do the juicing, and will also want to prepare your body to enter the fast by weaning off solid foods - so this is more than just a 9 day experience.
For all recipes you may substitute your own chakra appropriate fruit or vegetable. Some may prefer to juice fruits in the morning and vegetables in the evening - fruits cleanse and vegetables heal. Others may want to avoid sweet fruits all together. You can also incorporate high quality essential oils. Join the discussion to find out more about the ingredients for each chakra juice; and send us your own to share.
Are you looking for ways to lower your taxes, save money when preparing your tax return and avoid tax penalties? Many of us pay taxes most of our working life, yet are not well informed as to the true extent of our tax liabilities and the connection to building sustainable generational wealth. What if you had someone who did understand the tax laws and could teach you the tax advantages of having a business; someone who could help you get the tax break you deserve?
Our guest, Jean Rahman, is such a person. She realized while working for the IRS that a lot of Americans are underpaid, overtaxed and don’t truly understand the tax laws. Since then she has been on a mission to educate people about tax and wealth strategies, including how to get out of debt, create wealth and lower their taxes. In 2003, Jean, founded the Institute of Financial Freedom & Investment Solutions (TIFFIS) to accomplish this mission. Join us as Jean shares her expertise to help you avoid tax pitfalls, save money and contribute toward true wealth building.
What are you thinking? Look around you and there you have the product of your thoughts. Experience follows thought as surely as night follows day. And like it or not, when we are attached to thoughts, habits or norms, when things go differently from these patterns we automatically enter into the state of stress. Change, is the prime example; we most often resist change even when it is for the better!
Whether we choose to label a person, place or thing good or bad, we have to re-examine and rethink our perception of it. In doing so, automatic pilot is switched to off mode to allow opportunities we never imagined possible to emerge.
Our guests, Maxine Fuller and Carrie S. Hansson, are both seasoned personal trainers and Conversation Coaches. On this segment they will share some of their findings on the life we experience as a factor of the internal conversation that we constantly are having with ourselves. They will also offer tips on how to literally rethink our life experience.
Join the conversation to express your thoughts!
What unites and divides us? Surely as human beings we have more in common than we have differences. We all want to live healthy lives and be happy. We want a better life for our children and a safe environment to pursue those things that contribute to our goals. It’s hard to believe that with all the technology and information that we have in this day and age, people still judge a person by the color of their skin rather than their character because of prejudice and their own personal demons. We see evidence that one life is viewed as more valuable than another in random police killings of young men of color. What happens to a community divided in the wake of such such tragic events? How does the healing begin? These are the issues that we will delve into in this segment on “What Unites and Divides.”
We will also explore the art of screenwriting and what it takes to be successful in the industry as an independent screenwriter.
Our guest, Jamila Brown, is a writer, screenwriter, director and actress from New York City. Her film, Go Fish, is about an intercultural friendship, that takes place shortly after the Crown Heights riot of 1991. As we fast forward to events of today, her message still rings true.
The skin is our largest organ. It's taking in the environment’s moisture, dryness, airborne chemical pollution and everything we put on it - including cosmetics. It then stands to reason that if we cannot pronounce the ingredients on the labels of products we use, then we shouldn't be putting it on our skin. Yet often (call it vanity or ignorance), we don't think that far. The cosmetics industry definitely doesn't want us to think about the chemicals that we are ingesting, because many of them are making us sick.
When our guest, Lori-Ann Woodard, had a recurring illness, the doctors couldn't find the root of the issue. She had to find answers herself. Lori-Ann discovered that removal of chemical toxins in the mind, in the body, and in the home was key to remission of the illness she battled for years. Her quest for a healthy skin care alternatives lead her to create Uma Enterprises, LLC. Her vision and product lines include: Uma "Love You" Health Awareness (inside and out self-care), Uma Glow Cosmetics (organic alternative to traditional body care products), and Uma Sound (music from her soul).
Lori-Ann has an engineering degree and is currently a Quality Assurance Compliance Manager for Combination Products at Teva Pharmaceuticals. As she spent years developing combination medical/pharmaceutical/biologic and IVD products for companies such as Medtronic, Werfen, Eli Lily, Johnson & Johnson, and Genzyme, she learned to appreciate the natural healing properties of the God given elements the earth has to offer.
Join the show to find out more about what the cosmetic companies don't want you to know!

There are so many ways to communicate - phone, email, text, video conference, blogs and good old snail mail - yet our communications are often lacking in genuine meaning.
Modern technology has changed the way that we communicate forever; and is often seen as a barrier rather than an enhancer to effective communication. Yet, we can reach across both barriers and differences to build or strengthen relationships. The art of communication bridges that space. Effective communication is a true transfer of information. It's listening with compassion and understanding, and expressing ourselves in a manner that others can stop focusing on differences long enough to hear the message. Communication is an art form.
Our guest Audra Luke, has mastered the art of communication and shares her knowledge and techniques to help others, with a special focus on teens. Audra is a nationally acclaimed author, multimedia producer and writer with the special gift of reaching and inspiring an audience. Her dynamic work has been embraced through collaboration with celebrities such as Patti Labelle, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Alisha Keys, and Ludacris.
Join the show to find out more about her impactful work and to enhance your personal art of communication!

Self Love is giving one's self permission to be all that we are. This spills over into all other aspects of our lives, because self love is reflected in everything. When we’re at our best, we exude positivity and light. SELF LOVE IS the BEST ACT OF KINDNESS. If one wants to have meaningful and beneficial relationships, self-love needs to be a top priority. In a society that seeks to manufacture clones, maintaining self love becomes an act of courage and learned art to be reinforced through daily practice. Our guest Ayanna Jordan of the Phoenix Rising Collective is on a mission to reinforce the art of self love. She states: "If love, kindness, peace, grace, and all those other beautiful things are what you desire, then why not make them your primary concentration from the start? So, here’s the commitment: No more “I don’t want” mantras. You’ve already established yourself in that area, right? Moving forward, affirm your life through positive, conscious thoughts and words that support your intentions and direct the energy where you REALLY want it to flow. This is the essence of self-love.” Self-love translates into healthier, more supportive partnerships. It’s the foundation to a beautiful life."

Miracles happen wherever we are. Yet we won't recognize them, unless we take the time to go within. Miracles lie dormant in the background scenery of our life because we are not tuned into the present moment. We are either running away from a painful past, or in fear of more pain in the future.
When we go within, miracles move to the forefront. What is a miracle? It's simply a shift in perception to align with Truth. Going within to tap in to the energy of the present moment, is an invaluable investment in ourselves. It's not always easy or pretty; yet it is necessary for our personal evolution. There is no more beneficial way to spend time. Either we go within or go without true growth. Fortunately for us, there are many paths to the present moment and alignment with Truth. Yoga is a powerful one; and it's not just an exercise, it's a way of life. What is a yoga pose? Alignment to energy that allows us to tap into the fullness of ourselves.

What's your emotional kryptonite? The feelings and emotions that come up can be anything along the spectrum from doubt, to anxiety, to anger or despair. This kryptonite is intangible. It's caused by natural feelings and emotions that go beyond their natural alert response to becoming dangerous. So what's your emotional kryptonite? The first step is to figure it out. The next step is healing.

What better way to start the New Year than honoring the power of intention. Every relationship begins with relating. We meet a new love prospect and look to find out more about every aspect of him or her. We watch and listen closely and subconsciously pick up unspoken cues. Then something happens along the way. We lose that curiosity and open perspective. We no longer see or relate to our special love interest in a meaningful way. Relating becomes bartering and trade - a form of mutual exploitation. Nobody wins when there is a lack of true communication in relationships, yet the majority of couples run into this issue.
Join the discussion with Anthony Collins, author, and radio talk show host as he discusses the importance of remembering the relate in relationships.

Do you believe that spirtuality and financial success do not go hand in hand? Well, the Trappist Monks have instituted a business model that is wildly successful. Luckily for us, it is also highly repeatable. August Turak, author of Business Secrets of the Trappist Monks, One CEO's Quest for Meaning and Authenticity, explains that if you are spending all of your time focusing on the bottom line, you are wasting your time. Rather, service and selflessness is the core principle to success. August learned directly from the monks that you can have success and happiness at the same time. He shares the formula for applying the Trappist monk model of mission, personal transformation and community to secular business success.
Join the discussion with August as he explains how the Trappist Monks "aim past the target" of business; and as a result business success becomes a by-product of their work.

We've affirmed to reach a greater level of greatness in an area of our life. It's a week into the new year, and we may already be back peddling. Why, because we didn't jump in on all fours - no excuses, no hesitation, no cushions, no fears. Now, let's re-examine our goal and get all into it. Let's jump with a different partner - Grace. There's no need to wait for a special alignment of things or people; that may never happen. When we jump in and immerse ourselves, both obstacles and solutions will arise. We tend to see obstacles as problems. Yet without them, we would not see and be able to release our personal obstacles to peace. Then when we give our best, the result can only be perfectly good enough.
Join the discussion to find out four key steps to actualization for 2014 from Darlene's upcoming book, Think & Be Well", as the SIS team discusses committing fully to living life by "Jumping in on All Fours" and aligning with the fluid flow of life.

In honor of mental health month, we've chosen this fascinating book choice on the trials and tribulations of the life of Khaliyq (Ka-leek) Nazaire as our next selection. "Leaping Over the Hurdles of Life" will take you along for a journey of compassion. Khaliyq is not your average young adult. His mix of genius and struggle with mental distress leads him on an intriguing journey of self-discovery and self-destruction. No hurdle is too high to contemplate jumping, no accomplishment thought out of reach. Khaliyq plunges deeply into creating the life of his desire. He has a promising career with a path toward entrepreneurship, degrees from a prominent college and university, women who love him, worldwide vacation destinies, techy toys, and a house in the suburbs. Khaliyq’s life is a mirror in extremes, exemplified by his unique childhood in an Islamic commune in Brooklyn, NY, to the prestigious Morehouse College and then St. John’s University, to one of the big four accounting firms on Wall Street. A leader by nature and example, helper and inspiration to many, made sure that giving back was an inherent part of his lifestyle. But all of that is not enough, and he sets his hurdles precipitously higher and higher. This book will show you that everyone struggles with something, and being our brother’s keeper is the best thing we can do to help each other hold fast on our way. "Leaping the Hurdles of Life, A Tiger’s Story" is for everyone as we struggle on the path of life, desire to live a life of joy, and is a reminder that no one can do it alone. Join the discussion with SIS author, Darlene Nazaire.
We are energetic beings designed to vibrate at a high frequency that yields a mindset where life is joyful. When our personal voltage is weak, or we are vibrating at lower frequencies, it is hard for us to repel disease, increase vitality and raise consciousness. We get caught up in the energies of fear, sickness, lack or limitation. Knowing how to raise our vibration is imperative to both personal and collective well being. Our guest, Dawn James, will provide us with insight and practical steps to help us raise our personal vibration, and to be accountable for the energy that we bring into a space and our lives. She's the author of several books including "Raise Your Vibration, Transform Your Life" and "How to Raise the Vibration Around You" designed to spread the message that you can create health and harmony in your life. Join the discussion and raise your vibration.

It's a pharmaceutical company's goal to make a profit from the sale of drugs - not necessarily to further the general wellbeing of the public. This is made clear to us when inexpensive and highly effective treatments are not made known to the general population. Instead, practitioners often choose to prescribe expensive, often toxic, yet extremely profitable products that ironically bear the name medicine. Yet there are those honest practitioners who work to spread the word on remarkable, often natural and very inexpensive remedies, that can improve the lives of many. Our guest, Julia Schopick, writes about some of these honest practitioners - and tells us about four such lifesaving treatments - in her Amazon.com bestselling book, HONEST MEDICINE: Effective, Time-Tested, Inexpensive Treatments for Life-Threatening Diseases. Julia has transformed a personal tragedy into a healing opportunity for millions of people. Once you hear her story, you will want to join her in her mission to help people have access to safe, effective and inexpensive treatments such as the ones she writes about in her book.

"Healing yourself of fibroids and any other condition takes time, patience, and dedication to learning how your body works. You must make the decision to finally get in your kitchen and make the meals you claim you do not have time to make. You must get off your ass and exercise when it is too hot, too cold, and when you plain old don’t feel like it. It means doing the “inner work” to analyze how your personal relationships are working for or against your healing. Healing means asking yourself if you are fulfilling your life’s purpose." These are the words of our guest, Halona Black, culinary nutritionist. She affirms that "Life begins in the kitchen!" Join the show to find out how Halona makes eating for good health more practical through workshops and coaching programs. Urban living exposes us to constant distraction and potential misalignment with Mother Nature, because we are outside of our natural habitat. It takes focused energy to maintain equilibrium that allows for optimal mind/body/spirit balance in this fast-paced world, and even more so in a stressful environment. Our guest, Luz Emma Canas Madrigal, is a Master Yogi and founder of Rhythm and Breathe. She is dedicated to reaching those on the spiritual path wherever they are. Her mission is to make Kundalini Yoga and Meditation accessible and affordable, and does so through the use of virtual tools to create a community of both urban and non-urban Yogis. Mercedes Hawkins (Beato), also called Waliya has a Caribbean background. This means she grew up in a time and place where medicines and remedies were as natural as the trees they grew on. Coming to an industrialized nation, the US, changed everything as it does for most people. However, after being diagnosed with kidney disease several years ago, Mercedes reached back to the old fashioned ways and found that natural remedies are not only more cost effective, but they typically have no side effects. When your kidneys fail and you have a stroke it takes more than a diet change to remedy it," says Mercedes. She discovered that in her case, kidney disease was reversible and after finding conventional treatment to be too expensive, she searched her roots to find out how her ancestors dealt with this condition and found that natural remedies can work without the side effects of drugs. Mercedes decided to share her experience in her book entitled “How I Avoided Dialysis, and You Can Too.” She wanted to ensure the book was easy to read and affordable for everyone, including senior citizens. Join us as we talk with Mercedes about her experience with herbal remedies. Mercedes is a spoken word artist who has performed in notable venues throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area and has collaborated with journalists, radio personalities, actors and musicians. Mercedes also received an honorable mention at the Cotton Club for a song she wrote entitled "Times Are Trying/It's Never Too Late” and has completed a soon to be released novel. See additional information about here book here.
What do you have in your kitchen? Is it healing or is it making you sick? We all have heard the expression "You are what you eat"; so what's your make up? Junk food is called junk for a reason, processed food is basically depleted of natural nutrients, and cooking can heat vitamins, minerals and enzymes right out of your food. The food you intake sets the level of vibrancy of your life. Yes, there is a direct connection. So why not consume foods that facilitate health and happiness by increasing your energy level and detoxes the body to reverse or stop advancing dis-ease? Our guest Jeff, The Raw Food Chef is passionate about sharing his knowlege on preparing and eating raw foods. Listen as he discusses why raw is more (more tastier, more healthy, more cost efficient, the list goes on). His own life changing experience in healing diabetes and high blood pressure by being a raw foodist has been an inspiration to many. He shares this story in his book "Hallelujah for Rawlelujah!". Join us in eating our way to well being!
Often when we think of health, we only think about the physical components of diet and exercise. Yet your mental health equally important. The full mind/body/spirit triad must be addressed. May is Mental Health Month, a perfect time to take the pulse of your mental wellbeing. We live in a stressful world; and we all could benefit from some stress management techniques. Join us in laughing our way to mental and emotional balance and relief from stress and anxiety! .
We often think and talk about preserving and developing our physical health, yet ignore another important factor in the health triad - the mind.
Mind, body, spirit focus is essential for preserving and developing a balanced being. In honor of Mental Health Month, we bring that focus to mental health on this show. Co-host Raiysa, will discuss how ancestry, diet and deficiencies influence unstable "pseudo-emotions" that can threaten our mental and emotional without us ever knowing the cause. With this information she is able to support those experiencing mental distress through her not-for-profit organization, the Young Tiger Foundation. Everyone is subject to mental distress. Join us as we guide you through signs/symptoms, preservation and optimization of mental health.

Ladies, we're continuing our discussion on relationships! If you were aware of the dynamics between you and your partner you would be cognizant of the opportunity for growth the relationship brings into your life. You would know why your life paths have intertwined. You could also know why they make you so angry or push your buttons.
We all struggle with relationships because they reflect back to us all of our strengths and our flaws. Yet in that reflection, you can find your true self; you can find happiness, and you can find true love. The Love Cards system is a means of divining what an individual's significance is to you at this stage of your physical journey. Our guest, Dr. Chianosa Ifade, is a naturopathic healer who specializes in relationships. She understands the divide between men and women of today and uses the Love Cards as a means of healing the divide. Her goal is to help men and women understand how to heal their relationships and to find a path to Love.

We all now know that aromatheraphy, the use of plant oils for pyschological and physical well being, has healing affects on the mind and body. As an aromatherapy enthusiast, meticulous researcher, and life-long learner of universal knowledge, a clear path was presented to her to bring AromaHarmony to the world.
