When you first hear the words, content creation, what comes to mind for you?
Do you think about blog posts? Podcast episodes? How about social media posts? What type of content comes to your mind?
Chances are, you're either thinking of your favorite type of content or your least favorite type of content. When you are creating content for your own business, or if you're creating content for a client, what you need to realize is that the content type you enjoy creating is what's going to be the easiest format to create content in.
Tune in to learn one of the secrets to a successful content marketing strategy.
We all love a good Canva template...but what happens when dozens of small businesses start to use these templates in the same way? You enter the sea of sameness - and this is NOT how you stand out from your competition.
How many times have you popped onto Instagram and started to scroll through your feed just to feel like you’ve already seen half of what’s appearing? That’s because people are using the same design templates across all different industries. With little to no customization, these templates have polluted the online space. There’s nothing to differentiate Sally Jo’s Beauty Bar from Samantha’s Brow Boutique anymore and that’s where the problem lies.
We’re so inundated with these templates that subconsciously when we see these appear in our newsfeed, we feel as if we’ve already seen the post and don’t want to devote any more mental energy to look at it - even though it’s completely different content for an entirely different company.

To capture the essence of this episode in one sentence: Give the people what they want, when they want it or they're going to go elsewhere to find it.
If you're running a small business and you're still in the solopreneur phase or if you just have the support of one part-time VA, creating consistent, quality content can feel borderline impossible.
In today's episode, we're tackling the question: How do you make time to create quality content that connects if you're a small marketing team of only one or two people?
STEP ONE: Establish your brand's core content topics; those of which will be the key topics discussed within your blog or podcast.
STEP TWO: Outline the three social content pillars - Educate, Engage, Convert - into your social content calendar.
STEP THREE: Pull aspects of your weekly core brand content and integrate these into educational, engagement driving, and conversion-based social posts.
STEP FOUR: Repeat the process weekly to ensure a full and complete content calendar that connects and converts your audience into clients.

While we don't know for sure what 2022 will bring to the ever-changing social media landscape, I have a few marketing predictions to get your Instagram strategy started.
Incoming 2022 Instagram Marketing Trends: * People are looking for simple, easy-to-digest content. Keep your content educational or relatable. * The algorithm is going to showcase relevant content from others based on the accounts you're already following. So stick to your niche and don't post all willy nilly. Now is the time to stick to your strategy! * Instagram wants to keep you on the app - go figure - so if you're a product-based business, integrate your products into their shop features for the most exposure. * Keep it real - people follow you for YOU. Integrate your personality into your content and don't be afraid to share your thoughts on trending topics (even if you disagree with the norm).

Are you a small business owner who struggles to motivate during the winter months? If you’re like me, winter is the hardest time to stay productive, focus, and make progress. I struggle with seasonal affective disorder, which basically means my depression increases and intensifies as the days get colder and darker.
Mental health is IMPORTANT, friend. If you struggle with seasonal depression or seasonal affective disorder as an entrepreneur, it can be detrimental for your business. In this episode, I discuss how to prepare for the shorter, darker colder months as an entrepreneur who struggles with depression.
Facts I want to leave you with:
Please remember that if you're struggling with your mental health, you're not alone.
If you feel like your marketing sucks… here’s why it may seem that way.
Digital Marketing allows you to reach billions of people online, but unless you hyper-focus your content to specifically help your ICA, the content you create will get lost in the shuffle.
The online space allows you to reach billions of people all over the world. But when you're not zeroing in on who you really want to reach.... having access to billions of eyes will be as effective as throwing spaghetti on the wall.

Yes, I'm comparing your social media caption to a jelly donut and yes, now I'm also craving a donut.
Each Instagram post’s first 150 characters are like the first bite of a donut; if it's not oozing with goodness or entices you with what's to come... why bother continuing. Your hook is your only opportunity to get your audience to read the REST of your jelly-filled caption.
Tune in for a few quick tips to make the most out of your caption's hook.

If you're not already familiar with my proprietary system for converting Instagram followers into clients. Let me introduce you to The WAND Method™. The WAND Method is a four-step framework that you can implement today, to start using Instagram as a client converting machine.
The only catch is... before you can start using the WAND method you need to have your ideal customer completely mapped out.
The first step of the WAND method is to WOW your audience at first glance. But in order to do that... you need to Identify Your Ideal Customer.
Without properly identifying exactly who your business is serving, the content you create will be misguided.
All content you publish should be directly talking to your ideal customer or ICA.
If you’re unsure of who your Ideal Customer truly is, get ready because we're about to break down everything you need to know about defining who your ICA is.

Most small business owners don’t struggle to create content. They struggle to create consistent content for extended periods of time. Successful content marketing isn’t defined by a one-hit-wonder, or one piece of content going viral overnight. True success is derived from continually being your ideal customer’s go-to source for information.
It’s clear that you need to create more content, but with so many tasks on your plate, you’re in desperate need of understanding how to create more content in less time.
Hear me when I say that I totally understand the frustration. That’s exactly why I want to share a few best practices for repurposing content.
Being able to repurpose your anchor (long-form) content across multiple social media platforms will save you ample time and make your content creation process much easier.

Hear me out when I say that Instagram acts as your dating profile for your ideal customer. It’s what people see first and from there, they make a judgment call on whether or not they want to get to know you on a deeper level.
When used properly, Instagram will drive your ideal clients deeper into your marketing funnel (onto your email list) where you can better nurture them.
Once on your email list, true relationship growth happens and with proper communication, trust, and authenticity, they’ll be eagerly awaiting for you to put a ring on it.

We’ve all heard the news. We’ve either seen the live from the head of Instagram himself or we’ve seen the chopped-up bits of information shared by Instagram gurus claiming that Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app. Let’s stop there. Before you freak out and start trying to convert ALL of your photo content into video content… let’s think strategically. In this episode, I talk about who your ideal customer is and what they truly want from you, how following trends can lead to watered-down content, and more.
