On this week’s episode we are having a raw and real heart to heart on the idea of loving our bodies, and more specifically, being told to “just love your body” as a solution to body image struggles. On this week's episode, we are spilling major TEA. We are reading, exposing, and discussing our troll comments that we get online. We've found throughout our friendship that we get very different responses from people even though we share similar messages online. And we've come to realize that's because we have different body sizes. In this episode we read our comments & talk about what they are implying and the greater message that it reflects in the world we live in.

Welcome back to the podcast! This week's episode is the beginning of a new series that we will be talking about called #notbuiltforme. We talk about how dressing rooms are universally disliked, why many people can relate to having negative experiences in a dressing room, how dressing rooms magnify a greater societal issue and fat phobia.

This episode came from both of our personal experience and some of the things we’re walking through right now. We’re talking about the struggle of doing what’s best for us to care for our bodies while not getting caught up in what our society tells us we “should” be doing. We chat about why we invalidate our own experiences in our bodies, how we can validate those experiences, and how we can take care of ourselves on our own terms. Let’s talk about it!

Welcome back to another solo episode! Paige took the mic this week to share somethinga little unconventional and a little less practical. This season of life has been teaching us a lot about the importance of intentionality and being rooted in WHY we do what we do. I.e. we cannot PRACTICALLY care for ourselves if we lack the intentionality behind what we’re doing. Listen in for a deeper dive on how to focus on intentionality with your health journey, Paige's personal experience, how intentionality can actually keep you from obsession, and practical tips for how to start implementing healthy habits with genuine intentionality.

We talk about how social media can be harmful to our body image journey, how before and after photos play into that, and our thoughts about how we can foster a healthier relationship with our bodies while navigating the world of social media. Hello! Welcome back to the podcast!

In this episode we start off by talking about bad body image days. When we initially recorded this conversation, we were both having some harder days with our body image and so we felt it would be relevant to bring up to talk about AS we were experiencing it. We also chatted about unsolicited opinions and how to create boundaries so that we don’t feel shame for the way we show up in the world. Let's talk about it!

If you think about food a lot, if you're struggling with feeling anxious around food, or even if you just want to be healthier this episode is for you!

Welcome back! This week is a quick solo episode with Lauren chatting about navigating the seasons in life where you feel like you're in the "in-between," meaning that you are not where you want to be and things just feel HARD. We all know that part of life is figuring out how to get through tough seasons and it's important to be real about them.

Lauren shares some of her personal journey, she talks about how to recognize that in the in between is okay, how to identify what we need, and how to be honest about how we feel. Let's talk about it!

This episode is answering the question HOW do we pursue a healthy body while also pursuing a healthy body image. We talk about the difference between what health actually is, vs. what you’d find on Google or on the Internet, the most important starting place for any health journey, and the different forms of freedom that we can choose when it comes to the way we take care of our bodies. Let’s talk about it!

In this episode, weare talking about comparison. We chat about the three different kinds of comparison: us comparing ourselves to others, others comparing themselves to us, and the world comparing us to others. We discuss the true vulnerability in being yourself, how comparing our bodies gets in the way of genuinely appreciating our own bodies, and how we can fight comparison and remember that we are always enough. Let’s talk about it!

Welcome back! This episode is about thin privilege! We talk about our understanding of the term and some context, how thin privilege plays out in our everyday lives, how labels can be helpful in giving language to an experience that has been largely ignored in our world, and how we can recognize our own experience in the world while also making room for other women’s experiences. Let’s talk about it!

Whether you're new here or you've listened to our other episodes, we want you to know that your body NOW is enough. In this episode we talk about what it's like living in a bigger body. Lauren shared some of her story, we talked about how the word “fat” can actually just be a fact or descriptor rather than a measure of our worth, and how we can love and care for our bodies NOW rather than once we "lose the weight."

We hope you walk away from today’s conversation encouraged in your journey toward self acceptance.

We are so excited for this episode. We decided to hit the ground running and not hold back with this one. We are talking about how changing size doesn’t solve our problems - i.e. how losing weight won’t fix our struggles with our body image. Paige shared her story, about how she lost weight, got the "perfect body", and what she learned when she couldn’t maintain that physique. We talked about why we struggle to accept ourselves as we are now, and HOW to actually go about doing that. You might want to have a notebook handy because this is a quotable episode, if we do say so ourselves!

We hope you walk away from today’s conversation encouraged in your journey toward self acceptance. Let’s get into it!
