Are you the type of person who gives great advice but can never listen to your own? Do you find yourself being the shoulder for others but never being able to trust your own intuition? Or are you living in a situation where you can say to yourself "if my friend was going through this, I would tell them..." meanwhile you choose to suffer? This episode is for you. This is a reminder to trust your gut. Follow your own signs and look at yourself as a friend... help yourself.
Content Creators often are scrutinized because they are putting their life on the internet for strangers. They are following trends that some people may roll their eyes at. They are trying to be earlier adaptors to the new world. Reality is, content creation is a monster business these days. Every video you post has the opportunity to be as big as a Super bowl commercial... usually for free! Some people will judge you for doing what they wouldn't (or maybe couldn't) do. But who cares? Post that silly dance video. Post your gym videos. Post your life story. You are posting for YOU. Your audience will find you.
The first episode of our brand new podcast The Mastro Zone. We have rebranded so we could reach an audience more interested in everything from mental health, content creation, society and all topics from your favorite creators and experts. I am excited to announced this first episode on why you need the low moments in order to experience truer highs. Permanently positive people are not experiencing reality. Bad moments happen. Sad moments happen. Being upset is normal. Staying upset is not. Here is the highs and lows and how to use them to expedite your joy.
Being motivated is temporary. Being inspired is where we find longevity. Where we find inner joy and our best selves. We are able to live on a higher vibration when were inspired. More blessings get accepted.
Never Force the feeling. Never Force the calling. Never force yourself to think that you need to have all the answers. if you focus on becoming better everyday, things will begin to make sense. Things will fall into place. Your calling will be there on a higher vibration than you ever imagined.
Breaking out of the comfort zone is a hard thing to do. Being comfortable in new situations is difficult. The one's who win are the people who find strength in weak moments and that CAN BE YOU. YOU are capable. You are going to climb to new levels of happiness. New levels of success. Every opportunity that exists in the world can be yours...if you claim it.
Underestimated? Good. Nobody thinks you can do it? Good. Everyone has their doubts? Good. The underdog can always be motivated by doubt. Motivated by those who do not see your vision. I love playing as the underdog. Expectations are you will fail...reality is you will surpass what anyone can fathom.
This episode is about choosing who we take advice from not with our hearts but with our true knowledge of credentials. Using a strangers outlook to understand an idea rather than being convinced a passion is impossible by loved ones. Loved ones are excellent for so many things. I love my parents and the rest of my family an insane amount. But, when it comes to my dreams... they have absolutely no knowledge of how it works. I want to be big on social media. How can my dad know what is best for me in that world? I want the best podcast? How could my mom know about monetizing online. I want to create an app.... well you get the point. We need to choose who we are giving the power to when it comes to our dreams.
This episode is about how muscles have two options. Grow. Shrink. That is it. There is none of this "get ripped" but not bigger, thing. Listen to this episode on how toning was used to trick people into thinking something magical can happen.
Successful people don't have everything. They have the mindset that will not let them fail. At business, fitness, adapting, life in general. is your mindset your asset or your downfall?
"I was getting results, but I am not seeing results anymore" is such a common issue. I hear it all the time. Everyone found something that worked and run it into the ground. Nothing wrong with that. But eventually you may need to do something to change it up.
The good news is, usually the changes you need to make are a lot simpler and smaller than you think. "change my workout" is usually as simple as changing 1 simple thing. The volume, the intensity, the weight, the time between sets....usually it is something that you can adjust very quickly.
Come tune in to episode 60 to make some changes if you hit a plateau.
This episode is about why every workout is nottttttttttttt, I repeat NOT, supposed to leave you feeling dead.
Dont get me wrong, now and then its great. I try to go intense 2-3 times a week (usually 2). Other than those 2 intense workouts that make me sore and tired... my other 3-4 workouts are less intense. More leisure but with proper direction.
You cannot just lift lift lift or run run run and continue to see progress. You need to recover. And some recovery comes in the art of training lightly (20 easy reps of things) and getting in steps.
Unless you are using anabolic steroids and your body recovers like wolverine, you NEED to let your body recover properly. If you continue to leave the gym or your home workouts feeling like you cannot walk the next day...something is wrong. Decrease the weight, the reps or intensity a notch. Nothing wrong with turning it down. You should NOTTTTT feel like you got hit by a train after all workouts.
Again, once in a while it happens. But if you THINK your workout is ONLY good when you feel like you ran a marathon through a fire uphill both ways carrying a boulder on your back.... thats false. Some workouts are made for recovery. Mae for touching up a muscle. Not destroying them.
PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD: Slowly increasing intensity, weight or volume over time. Time!!! Not every single workout. Thats how we avoid the exhaustion.
A lot of what we are told in fitness is FAST results. 15 minute abs. Eat 1000 calories a day! Run 1000 miles and you'll get lean. OR the opposite: Workout for 3 hours a day. NO DAYS OFF. Eat whatever you want as long as you workout harder..... all of this info is confusing and not fitting for MOST people. Generalizing, but by most I mean like 99% of people.
Sure, certain things work. Eating 1000 calories and running 10 miles MAY help you quickly drop some weight.... but it is not healthy. It is not sustainable. It is not okay.
JUST CAUSE IT WORKS, DOES NOTTTTT MEAN IT IS WORKING!! Quick results are usually not sustainable results and anytime you are removing nutrients and health out of your life...you cannot expect to see the goals you truly want.
This episode is basically a call to action: extremes are usually not healthy. Making a full 180 overnight on your health is usually not healthy. We often need to take baby/medium steps before doing anything drastic. And I bet usually you'll find that those baby/medium steps, work. It's all you need to find balance between health and results.
Do what works for your longevity.
This episode is a great introduction to how to lose your lower belly fat (the pooch) and create a positive ab workout for yourself.
Everyone I ever have spoken to, anyone I ever trained, no matter their ultimate goal....... they all wants a tight stomach. But how do we go about getting it?
Obviously a lot of what makes "abs" is made in the kitchen... but just like our other muscles there are plenty of ways we can enhance our abs and make them stand out!
Check out this video as well as my patreon website www.patreon.com/mattmastro1 for ab workouts and daily training!
Following other peoples footsteps may lead you in the right direction. However, it is more important to chase our passions to achieve true success.
Dieting comes with a scare tactic. "eat this and you'll get fat..eat that and you'll get flat..." Reality is, there is no right answer for everyone. Eating is based on the individual. But one thing is universal and that is that we need to learn to not be afraid of food so we can enjoy it and create a healthy energy between us and our meals. This episode discusses how we can go from being nervous about food, to trusting that it is there to help us, not hurt us.
Becoming the best version of yourself is the best thing you can do for everyone around you. Your loved ones, your family, your job, your happiness, etc. Come to a realization with yourself today. Do you treat yourself the way you deserve?
On this episode, Matt discusses the positive and negative ways to use cardio based on your goals. Often we have been told that cardio will help you to lose weight, but are we really losing weight in the places that we want to? It is often muscle we are burning and our metabolism we are hurting. Find out if there are some tips and secrets to improve your cardio/gains.

This episode is going to give you new ideas and "Ah-ha" moments that relate to you and how you've been training/eating. Check it out!
The title itself may sound cliche; but how many people are truly following their dreams? How many people are actually doing exactly what they want to be doing? How many people have given up on their dream and accepted....average? Maybe they listened to someone else and took the safe route. If any of this sounds like you, I want you to know... it is NEVER too late to begin taking your own risks. Following your own dreams. Making the moves you have always desired. You have a house and kids? Great. Keep providing but always dedicate time to YOU and what YOU truly want. You don't have the time? Bullshit. Everyone has time for things they want. It's things that are hard that we choose to ignore. Put your excuses to the side today and Go after it.
This is one of my favorite questions to answer. Lets dive deeper into what makes people feel more positive and why negative thoughts have no space in our lives. Matt makes sure we can fall in love with our own process and make greatness occur only when we can visualize it.
The need to communicate is vital in all aspects of our lives. At work, in our relationships, as business owners... communication is key. Communication is important to express our joy, sadness, gratitude, promoting to our audience and for all purposes. Here is why YOU need to start talking.
Not Medical Advice Anxiety is a bitch. No two ways around it. It is like quicksand and when you struggle harder, it pulls you in deeper. A lot of our friends and family do not understand that "feel better" is not a way to help people with anxiety to feel better. It takes daily effort, just like our physical fitness, to improve our mental health, including anxiety. Here is some of my story and some methods that have helped me to overcome this battle.
Creating a network and audience is a new asset. As valuable as real estate, bitcoin, or owning antiques. Social media has created a way where we can talk to and reach out to MILLIONS of people at a time. With the correct content and product, you can now communicate with almost everyone on earth and certainly with everyone in your demographic. Having this audience and attention is more valuable than real estate. You can monetize forever. You can build business forever. You can influence forever. This is how and why you NEED to make your presence known on all platforms.
Mental health is often associated with struggle. The connotation that comes with mental health is that it correlates with anxiety, stress, and even suicide. Mental health is very important and has to be trained on a daily basis, even on our best days. The connection between mental health and negativity needs to be eliminated as we focus on the positive aspects of mentality. We can train our body when we feel great, why not train your mind when things are going well? Gratitude and recognition of the things that make you happy can change your life and perspective on mental health.
Mentally, you may be at war with yourself. You may be in a constant fight with your mindset. Whatever has taken over your mindset to spin it negative, lets change it to positive today.
What is your calling? Is your calling to just go through the motions and be part of society? To follow along and not feel fulfilled? If you are happy with your life, your job, your situation and your freedom, then this is not for you. Most of us are still looking for the answer to find our peace and happiness. What are you doing today to find true peace? What is your purpose on this earth? Who are you supposed to be? How can we make that happen?
Are you struggling as you watch others succeed? Does it upset you to see others winning and achieving things that you deserve? I get it. We are human. In this episode we discuss a mindset alteration to help us feel happy for others while waiting our turn. Or should I say, working for our turn. This episode is about finding peace of mind with your path. Nobody else's matters but yours when it comes to your dreams.
Thanks for listening always.

A blurry topic as we often hear that alcohol and fitness cannot co-exist. There is some truth to that but also there are ways to enjoy the social life of drinking without hurting your goals. We discuss different methods of drinking plus the best choices of beverages to maintain your health and physique and find a happy medium. Obviously, we do not advocate for drinking at TMB and we hope anyone who has any addiction to alcohol is able to find the help needed to overcome this demon.
Find your health. Find your peace.
We are living in a time where the rewards for taking risks can set up your future. Risks such as starting a business, investing, trying new trends, using your time more effectively for your goals. The hot topic of at home workouts has become more and more popular in these times. The only issue is a lot of the programs and plans are based solely around cardio. This is because it is easy to sell a cardio style workout (I.E Insanity) because you will sweat a lot and be tired! Do NOT get me wrong, I think these are great workouts. Here are some tips and hints to design a program for yourself or to choose the right exercises, tempo and tension in order to get results. You can also join my membership at MattMastro.com for access to my at home program!
P.S I always recommend that you purchase a band or light dumbbells if you plan to workout at home! Having progressions will help you see results in you physique and strength.
Thank you for tuning into another episode of The Muscle Blueprint with Matt Mastro. Today we will discuss the issues with at home programs and how to make them more effective. We often want to follow people on instagram and youtube to achieve their physiques. While reality is, resistance training (training with weights) is much more effective at shaping one's body, training from home can be a great alternative when done correctly. IF YOU WANT TO TONE, you cannot tone what does not exist. If you do not have muscle, there is nothing to tone. Facts. Check out my at home program on www.mattmastro.com or sign up for our membership to learn more about growing muscle from your house so that you can also tone and detail that physique just the way you'd like. Try not to fall into the trap of doing workouts that are strictly cardio and expect to get muscular tone. Cardio is great for your heart, but not always great for your overall physique (depending on your goals). Lets learn how to build muscle, then detail it into a physique. Start today. Start here.

Plenty of reason to be excited about this week's events as a new regime has begun on Wall Street. How long will it last? Nobody knows. I have dabbled in stock trading for close to 3 years and have had great successes and failures. So this is for entertainment only. That being said, see you on the moon fellow meme stock traders.

Here is a question that came from Instagram regarding mindsets and feeling like you are not "good enough." One major issue we see today is comparisons to other people. Social media shows us a highlight reel of people's lives and often it is exaggerated or embellished. Even if it is true, how somebody else lives should not create a negative reaction on how you feel. Check out the podcast to see different ways to drop the "comparisons" and start using stuff you see or want as motivation instead.
