Welcome to our class podcast page. We hope that our topics stoke the fire of awareness and fan the flames of reason as we look at things from a historical perspective. Our Podcasting PBL is titled: 2020 "Experiencing History in the Making". Hear students break down a variety of topics from from four (4 ) major themes: COVID19, Racial Equality/Social Justice, Environmental Issues/Concerns, Politics/2020 Presidential Election. We hope you enjoy listening to students analyze these issues and events serving to prove that history is alive and making a lasting impact.
In this episode, I will emphasize the need to respect people's similarities and more importantly, their differences. Having mutual respect for one another is the only way we can ever hope to achieve racial equality and social justice.
In my podcast, I will raise the point that racial equality has a positive effect on our community. I will also point out why our community and all communities should prevent racism because of the harmful effect it has on young children. Thanks for listening.
In my podcast, I will talk about student-athletes not having the chance to practice and play with their teams during the COVID-19 pandemic. Should the coaches and players listen to government officials and stay safe by not practicing during times of mandated no practice periods? Or, should they risk contracting the virus by practicing with their teams and playing against other opponents with agreed upon safety procedures in place in order to be safe?
My podcast will advocate helping our Earth by asserting the climate issues humans have caused throughout the course of our time, and the significant effects that have already happened. I will also be discussing what we can do to help resolve this catastrophic problem.
In my podcast, I want to make everyone realize what not to do to cause a wildfire. I'll also explain the importance of wildfire preparedness. Wildfires have been incredibly destructive as of late, causing hundreds of millions of dollars in property damage and even worse, the loss of life. People have lost their homes, businesses, and sadly family members, and this cycle of destruction continues. We need to raise awareness and break this cycle.
My project will engage in compulsive conversation regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic and address new normalcies of society. In addition to this, it is important to understand what it means for our future of healthcare, education, and much more.
Due to COVID-19, our lives are basically put on hold. People are beating up Chinese (and Asians) because of it, and finally, the number of crazy conspiracies that exist have harmful effects. In our podcast, we will bring up as many negatives aspects related to this pandemic as we can. Hopefully, our conversation will open the eyes of our listeners about the other horrors of coronavirus besides the infection itself.
My project will bring awareness to the Black Lives Matter movement in America and the history behind it. I feel that people NEED to understand and learn about our culture and history!

I will discuss the health symptoms associated with breathing unhealthy air caused by the recent wildfires. These wildfires have taken a big toll on California by negatively impacting air quality levels. I will go over scientific data that supports my claim.

Our project is based on racial equality & social justice. Topics we will discuss include the BLM movement, equality, and police brutality. We will also breakdown some of the deaths that have occured at the hands of law enforcement that have led to protests around the world. We would like to educate people about these things and state that this is not OK as we seek an end to the violence.
In our podcast, we will talk about the real struggles people have had as a result of this virus such as the loss of loved ones, the loss of jobs, and the craziness of it all. We will also discuss a few conspiracy theories related to the virus and data being reported that may or may not be true. You be the judge.

Unfortunately, I believe that discrimination is something that most people have normalized themselves to nowadays. I would like to spread the word on how you should treat everyone equally no matter their race, skin color, sexuality, or religion.
My project addresses topics that should influence and bring awareness to younger audiences and teens. The main topic I want to cover is racial equality and social justice because the fight for both is still happening in today’s society.

Our project will bring awareness to the fact that many students do not have a great home life. For many of these students, school is one of their only meals or an escape from a tough home environment that they have to deal with on a daily basis.

My project will focus on the following. -Our Literal Survival. The main objective of this project is to develop a new perception of our nature and why we need it to survive. I want to attempt to make a change in OUR environment by spreading this message to the people around me. I am going to do this by going over several resources and facts in my presentation.
We want listeners to know that suicide is a real issue for teenagers and not a joking matter. We want to raise awareness to the stress, depression, and mental illness teenagers face nowadays and how people can identify warning signs and risk factors. I would like to bring awareness to some conspiracy theories that claim the government and wealthy individuals really have control over many things we don’t know about. Perhaps, it may wake people up.
I’ll be talking about the 2020 presidential candidates and the liberal and conservative sides that they represent. I will also discuss the events of this year and how it may affect the vote. To stand in for the side of liberal votes I’ll bring in my mom who deems herself a liberal. To stand in for the side of conservative votes I’ll bring in my father who is a conservative.
Our driving question for this project would be racism and how our society handles it. We will discuss the different point of views on this subject and how others might feel about it.
My project will describe the natural and man made causes of global warming and the way it affects not only our lives every day but the lives of innocent wildlife and marine life. I will also discuss the possibilities of what we can do to slow global warming.
In my project I will be informing all of you about COVID-19. I will explain how you can prevent yourself from catching this virus. I will also talk about the symptoms and how to stay safe.
Our group believes that if we give out good information about COVID-19, we can help prevent people from getting the virus. We know that people like to gather around others and those "others" might have the virus. This is how people end up getting infected and the cycle keeps going. If we stay inside and do all the other safety stuff we can beat COVID-19.
My goal is to change peoples minds. In my podcast I will be talking about BLM protests. It seems everyone forgot what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said many years back. His "I Have a Dream" speech spoke on how black and white are equal. My goal is trying to get people to remember that is when black and white became equal.
My project will address the warning and effectiveness COVID-19 had placed on us. I will also include the safety that is needed to be practiced during these harsh times such as social distancing, wearing a mask, and washing your hands.
This project will not only start but advance a conversation that has been going on for years. I am tired of racism, my dad is tired of racism, WE are tired of racism. With this podcast we will attempt to reach justice in our hearts and do more than just try to come up with a solution, WE will find one. No matter the race, the religion, the color, the creed, and the sexual orientation, WE are ALL EQUAL.
In our podcast we'll be going over the covid topic and bringing awareness to it and also talk about how others feel about it and what others can do to help improve this virus and bring this pandemic to a stop or at least slow down.
