The average life expectancy is 75 years or approximately 4,000 weeks.

This may seem like a long time, but in the grand scheme of things, it is actually quite short.

It is important to remember that life is fragile and we never know when our time will come, so it's crucial to make the most of every moment.
We should live our lives to the fullest and focus on what truly matters to us. This means embracing experiences, spending time with loved ones, pursuing our passions, and making a positive impact on the world.

It is also important to be mindful and present in each moment, rather than constantly worrying about the future or dwelling on the past.
Life is a precious gift, and we should cherish every moment, make the most of our opportunities, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

So, live for the now and make each moment count!

How to Elevate Your Thinking: Unlock Your True Potential

The way we think has a profound impact on our lives and can determine our success, happiness, and overall well-being. However, it can be all too easy to fall into negative thought patterns and limit our potential. Fortunately, it is possible to elevate your thinking and unlock your true potential. Here are some tips to help you do just that:

  1. Practice mindfulness Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment and focusing on your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. By practicing mindfulness, you can gain a greater understanding of your thoughts and patterns of thinking. This can help you identify negative thought patterns and work towards changing them.
  2. Reframe negative thoughts When negative thoughts arise, it is important to reframe them in a positive light. For example, instead of thinking "I can't do this," try thinking "I can do this, and I will learn and grow from the experience." By reframing negative thoughts, you can train your mind to think more positively and elevate your thinking.
  3. Surround yourself with positive people The people we surround ourselves with have a profound impact on our thoughts and attitudes. By surrounding yourself with positive, supportive people, you can create a positive and uplifting environment that will help you elevate your thinking.
  4. Embrace change and new experiences Change and new experiences can be challenging, but they can also help us grow and develop new perspectives. By embracing change and stepping outside of your comfort zone, you can broaden your horizons and elevate your thinking.
  5. Cultivate gratitude Gratitude is the practice of focusing on what you have, rather than what you lack. By cultivating gratitude, you can shift your focus to the positive aspects of your life and elevate your thinking.

In conclusion, elevating your thinking is a journey that requires effort and dedication. But by following these tips and embracing a positive mindset, you can unlock your true potential and lead a happier, more fulfilling life. Remember, the power of your thoughts can shape your reality, so make sure to keep your thoughts elevated and positive.

The 5 Rules for a Strong Life

In life, we all face challenges and obstacles that can test our resilience and strength. However, by following a set of simple yet effective rules, we can empower ourselves and lead a strong and fulfilling life. Here are the five rules that can help you do just that:

  1. Never go back to anyone who has betrayed your loyalty. Betrayal can be one of the most hurtful experiences we face in life. It can shatter our trust and confidence, and make us feel vulnerable. But it is important to remember that loyalty is a two-way street and if someone has betrayed you, it is unlikely that they will change. It is best to move on and surround yourself with people who respect and value your loyalty.
  2. Stand up for yourself. Standing up for yourself is a key component of self-empowerment. It means setting boundaries, speaking your truth, and not allowing others to mistreat or disrespect you. Remember, no one will value or respect you if you do not value and respect yourself first.
  3. Always give your full attention to anyone who wants to talk to you. Showing someone that you care about them and their thoughts and feelings is a simple yet powerful way to build strong relationships. By giving someone your full attention, you are not only showing respect, but you are also creating a deeper connection. This can be especially important in our fast-paced and digital world where it is all too easy to become distracted and lose touch with others.
  4. Protect those people who have your back. Respect those who walk beside you. Surrounding yourself with supportive and positive people is essential for a strong life. Those who have your back are the ones who will be there for you through thick and thin, and it is important to protect and nurture those relationships. Similarly, it is also important to respect those who walk beside you in life. By showing respect, you create a positive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
  5. Be ok with being on your own. Finally, it is important to be comfortable with being on your own. This does not mean being lonely, but rather embracing the power of solitude and using it to reflect, grow, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you. By being at peace with being alone, you can become a stronger and more independent person.

In conclusion, these five rules form a strong foundation for a fulfilling and empowering life. By following them, you can build strong relationships, find inner peace, and develop a strong sense of self-respect and self-worth. Remember, your life is a journey, and with the right tools and mindset, you can lead a strong and fulfilling life.

You owe yourself 1 hour a day.

In that hour you can sing, you can dance, you can train you to book, you can write, you can talk to a friend, you can do whatever you want to do. It is important to give yourself that one hour a day.

It’s easy to feel bad and selfish for taking out that time, but it's so important.

It’s important because it makes you happy and if you take away that one hour that makes you happy you are not any fun to be around.

Stop feeling selfish. It is not about you and you taking time from others it is about you giving to yourself, so you have more to give to those around.

You are allowed to spend one hour on you.

Remember, over a 24-hour period this is less than 5% of your day and if you can't spend 5% of your day or less,  working on things that make you happy or doing things that make you feel fulfilled, what is the point?

You may need to re-evaluate some of the things that you are spending more time on that is stealing from your health and happiness and give back to yourself.

You owe it to yourself! Make yourself happy.

You have the power to do that

When it comes to your goals, everybody has a turn back moment.

At some stage the old allures and the shiny things that you were once surrounded by, will call your name again.

These shiny things and these allures will catch your attention and you have the decision to turn back and go to life that you used to live or go forward.

but the thing that you need to keep in mind before you turn around and go back to that life that you just left, is that if you give up now, the only guarantee is that you will not move into the future that you want..

It is the guarantee, that you will not achieve your goals. That it will never happen.

That's the guarantee of quitting, that it will never happen, no matter what!

You need to make that decision, do you turn around and go back to the shiny things and all those allures? Or do you keep moving forward anyway!

In the early hours of the morning is where I've often felt the most anxious.

It’s as if there is a storm that’s approaching and all the worry about that storm is yet to unfold.

I realise that a lot of this anxiety and stress that I feel subconsciously and consciously, through the entire morning, is probably a result of my childhood.

Now, I spent 15 years before leaving home feeling like that. And the most anxious I ever felt was right before my Mum and Dad woke up. They created an anxiety around morning routines that was next level and to be fair, it still haunts me to this day.

Their high strung energy, their aggressive undertones and their frustrations in the morning rubbed off on me and put me in a fear state, that has lingered for about 20 years or more.

I haven't had anything to really do with my mum and dad for the past 20 years.

However, whatever happened when I was a child is still deep within my soul, deep within my stomach, it is a part of me still.

I'm not trained and I'm no expert in how to deal with this stuff and how to digest and assimilate it, but I know something for a fact. What I know is that this is trauma.

This is sitting with me.

However, I can treat this as a gift. It seems funny to think of it like it's a gift, it seems funny to even put it in the same category but if I'm honest, I can treat this as if it was something great that has happened to me and good.

Each morning when I wake up at about 5 a.m. That overwhelming feeling of stress hits me like a tonne of bricks and has pretty much done that every day of my life and it is a gift because it reminds me that I am in control, it reminds me to stop, take a breath, and think and be grateful for what today is offering.

The best part about all of this and the biggest gift is my little five-year-old.

When I feel the most relaxed when I feel the happiest and when I feel the most at ease and calm is around her.

I'm trying my best to end the cycle that happened. I'm trying my best to change the patterns that happened to me as a child and I can't do that if I keep thinking about how bad all that stuff was and how much that's affecting me still.

So, as my mind continues to race, I stop to take a breath and I remind myself to simply relax and Quinn will give me all the strength that I need, even if she's unconscious of the fact that she does it.

This is a message to you guys and a reminder that although things may have happened to you, around you, or even because of you, some of these things can be treated in a different light.

If we ReFrame it and we see a lot of the things as a gift, to give us context, and help teach ourselves how to deal with some of the things that we're going through, it can be exactly what we need.

Only focus on what you have control over.

In my opinion, there are four things you have major control over

Number one: Your desires. The things in life that you desire, you have control over that

Number two:  Your actions. What you do, why you do it, you have control over those things.

Number 3: The words that you speak. Sometimes it’s easy to react emotionally.

Remember, we always have control over what comes out of your mouth, or, what doesn’t come out.

And finally.

Number four: Your intentions before you do anything you have any intention that intention is created from within, that is something you have control over.

Make sure your intentions are pure, your words are honest, your actions are faultless, and your desire is huge!

Now all that’s left to do is get back to work.

What is a heathy body?

Is it a beautiful tan? 6 pack abs? Shining hair? Perfect teeth?

However, If you have all that and your thoughts are sick and negative? What do you really have?

Now, don't get me wrong.

It's ok to have all of those things.

There's nothing wrong with having all those things.

In fact, i'd like to think I have some of those things.

But what do you do when you don't have the same reflection on the inside? What happens when what's on the outside looks prettier and healthier than what's happening on the inside?

What if what we are striving so hard to achieve on the outer shell, that it starts to affect what's happening on our inner self? What do we do then?

Where do we go from that position? I wish I knew!

Regardless of the exact and correct answer, somedays it comes down to the fact that you have to sit with yourself for a moment, and ask quality questions about what it is that you want, why you really want it and what it's going cost you to achieve it?

Then, after you've asked those questions and made the answers, for yourself, you can do as you do.

After all, this is your life, and you will get what you're supposed to get.

But remember, don't strive so hard to make the external amazing, when we are really suffering on the internal.

Although the outer shell may look glistening and beautiful, we have to work just as hard on the inside of our bodies. There is no point in having this beautiful physique on the outside to show the world, but suffering alone on the inside.

If our thoughts are sick and heavy, we need to address them first. We need to forget about the outer shell for a moment and work on improving our mental health and the way that we see ourselves.

There is no right or wrong, it's just your choice.

What will you choose?

You know what? It’s worth it.

Your goals, they are worth it.

You can do this! Don't get lost in all the sounds and all the noise that's around you.

What it really comes down to is your discipline, your perseverance, your grit, and your relentlessness.

Your relentlessness to not give up each day!

All of these things add up.

I guess the question remains, what are you going to do next?

We all make choices in life.

There's no point in beating ourselves up. We just have to be open and

honest about our choices when we look back at them.

When I make a choice, I have to understand that in this moment this is what I felt my highest standard decision to be, this was my biggest value.

It’s a simple enough way of looking at life. Simply choosing in the moment, what the best decision to make for you is and not living by other peoples definitions of what we should be, what we should say, or what we should do.

I’ve had to tell my clients before that, I don't believe their goal is true.

For example, if it was weight loss, I have to sometimes tell my clients that I don't believe this is truly what they want. In fact, I think it's what your partner wants, or your children want, or your friends want, or what you think society wants of you.

This is not your goal. It is somebody else’s. Sometimes the goals that we choose to pursue are ones we've watched before us and not truly our own.

Remember to pick the goals that you want, that are true to you. Stop living your goals through other people, it's not what your husband wants of you, it's not what your kids want of you, it's not what the world wants of you, it's not what you want of you.

Start to think about the goal that you want and truly decide what it is that you're going to go after and then give it 100% until you achieve it.

Pressure and stress can create different things.

What do I mean by that?

listen to this quote that i heard just the other day.

“The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg”

it's about what you're made of not your circumstances.

Adversity and pressure in life can cause you to either, break or breakthrough!

so you know, it's really up to you to decide what happens.

Are you the egg? Or are you the potato?

View Details

It’s time to stop acting like you're on the receiving end of what ever the world wants to dump on you.

You know you've got a choice, right?

Stop telling the world and yourself that you don't have a choice over any of this, you do have a choice.

I know it can be hard that’s why other people don't win, because when it's hard they give up.

One day spent not working towards your goals adds up.

If today I spend one day less working on my goals, it's like one paper cut, which is not a big deal in the big scheme of things.

One paper cut wont kill me.

However, if I spend 2,3,4, 50 60 days, not working on my goal that's a lot of paper cuts.
And that can cause some pain.

Every time you decide not to work on your goal is one day less that you're going to get to enjoy it when you get there.

It's time to get up, it's time to move forward, but most of all, it’s time to take your power back.

Luck! What is that?

If you’re going to do something, its to stop assuming that someone was just lucky.

They were’t lucky…..they worked for it.

They did things you wouldn’t do.

They woke up at times that you wouldn’t wake up at.

They prepared their day when you decided not to.

They used resources that you didnt use and when there were no resources to use they more resourceful than you.

If you’re sitting here saying that somebody was lucky, that they got what they got, or they got the results they got through luck, you’re missing the point.

it’s not luck when the person you’re talking about never gave up for one minute on what it was that they wanted, they didn’t stop working and they didn’t take their eyes off the prize. That’s not lucky, that’s hard work.

You’re confused, it wasn’t luck, it was WORK!

Shits hard? I get that.

You want to quit… ? Yeh, that may work.

You’re tired… Aren’t we all?

My question to you is, what will you do next.

Will you give up on what’s hard for the “easy”?

Will you give-up on yourself, on your goals?

Just to have Zero purpose.

If you quit, what will fill your time?

You’re tired - Yeh working on your goals, working on your body, on your fitness, on your health, anything you put WORK into will make you tired. That’s OK!

These emotions, these feelings you're going through are necessary, because on the other side of this, is victory.

keep going.

In health and happiness,

Coach Shane.

It's not the weight of the bottle that matters, it's how long you hold on to it.

How long you hold on to it can create the pain. Like lifes worries and stresses.

If you hold on to them for a minute, it's OK. If you hold on to it for 2 days, 2 week, 2 years it can be really detrimental to you and your health.

In order to get to any place you want to go in life, you may have to travel down many wrong roads and this is purely to help you ultimately understand what you're looking for on the "right" road.

The trick is, never give up and one day, you'll ultimately arrive in a place you're happy with.

A letter to me, from me.

Hey younger, Shane.

It’s me, the man you dreamt you’d be (kinda haha).

The man you didn’t know you wanted to be.

I know that you’ve got lots of questions.

I once asked em all too - Hell, I’m you! (haha)

I’ve came here to give you my point of view.

My view on life, to try and help you calm that tornado you’ve been living through.

I’ll try and convince you that even though you can’t see it right now, all of these experiences will be all worth it. Spoiler alert - You’ll have a wife who loves you, a baby girl who adores you and that’s all that will ever truely matter. Please don’t ever forget that part.

Yep, I know, right now all you’re doing is trying to impress a bunch of people in your life and survive the nights so that you can see the sunrise of tomorrow. This is draining and oh so exhausting, but, right now, it’s a necessity to get to a much better place. I’m proud of you, hang in there.

Oh, I also know that feeling!

That vice you feel in your chest…

That pressure inside your head..

That feeling of suffocation…..

I wish I could tell you I’ve found a way to manage it. I haven’t.

To be honest, you haven’t even felt the half of it yet.

For that, I’m sorry, I'll keep working on it, I promise.

I can see you now. I can see your 14 year old face.

I know you want relief from your stress.

You’re sitting in your room, headphones blaring to drown out the sound of the day, to help drain away and muffle out the screaming in the lounge room. I can see your doors shut, in an attempt to block out all the things on the other side.

The drama, the drugs, the life - I get it, you’re only 14 years old, how else can you escape.…

I know you’re doing your best, I know those people beyond the door are also trying to do their best, they just don’t know any better. It’s not anything YOU did.

I feel your insecurities, the negativity in your head.

I wish I could help, but it’s hard to help, when what you’re about to go through will make the man talking to you right now.

I feel a little hopeless, but I can’t help. It wouldn’t be right to.

You’re about to learn a lot of skills, gain knowledge about life and have many experiences - this is life, do the best you can.

I see the tears in your eyes.

Please know, you’re not the only one who’s lonely. It’s ok to be sad. Don’t hide it, talk to someone.

Them late nights laying in your room thinking if anyone notices that you’re even here, will one day turn into you laying on your amazing and talented daughters bed, chatting to her for hours about “stuff”. You’ll never want these moments to end.

You’ll wake from this nightmare soon, you’ll feel less lost, less abandoned, less fearful of life. The anxiety will peak and taper off. That's normal - treat it life a gift.

Because it's all ok, you’ll wake to a dream life. A perfect life.

People will tell you daily that, without you, they wouldn’t be the same. That you changed their lives, inspired and motivated them.

That you were there for them when they found things hard, you’ll be there for them with a ready ear and heart full of empathy and all this, comes from what you’re about to go through. It has a purpose, trust it.

Strap in, hang on tight, this is for all of them people out there.

The ones reading this and nodding along.

This is your hand held high, knowing that life threw its punches and although you had to take a knee a few times and a helping hand from others to get to your feet, you were never down for the count.

You’re doing it for yourself but at the same time, helping the people.

There’s strength to be learned here.

It’s sad to hear, I know.

However, it’s the journey, and it’s OK. You’ll be ok.

I love you.

Shane.

Suffering comes from resistance.

Lately, I've been suffering from the resistance to the new world that's forming around me.

I've been resisting the changes and getting caught up on all the negativity within the news, the people, the world at large.

It's taken a toll on me.

To top all that off, the incredible changes in all our lives, with regards to isolation and segregation.

The "Us Vs Them" - mentality.

My resistance to everything and what has and will happen to the world around me, was only creating suffering to me.

I needed to stop suffering, so I did a few things to help get my headspace back and I wanted to share what I did personally to help with the issues I was facing daily.

Acceptance - Accept that "this it is, what it is" and this can't happen any other way because this is how it happened.

I can not change what has occurred (in the short term), nor what has been done. I only have choice over what I do in the present moment.

Projecting my worry, fear and my thoughts forward into the future, is only causing me anxiety and sadness.

Change - Changing my daily habits. Make new ones, stronger and healthier habits.

Habits that are the complete opposite to what I've been turning to each day. No more lazing about in a pity party made for one.

Leave - Leave alone the things I kept picking up that got me feeling so down. For me, that was the news and Social Media.

I had to leave alone what was causing my stress. Like an alcoholic must leave alone the beers or watching the adds on TV that trigger them to buy booze. I too, had to leave a lone the things my mind was attaching itself to. Going onto some social media platforms left me confused, scared and stressed. I had to not allow that to be my mind state anymore.

These were some of the things I have chosen to do to get back on a path that's not so self destructive.

A path that once I build, I can help myself, which in turn gives me the power to help others too.

In health and happiness,

Coach Shane.

Are you living the life of someone else?

What do I mean?

Well, have you unwillingly adopted the goals and aspirations of your parents, your partners, your friends?

All through life we grow up with these influences and sometimes we get to a point where we look back at our lives and realise that this is not what we wanted for ourselves.

In fact, we’re living someone else’s life altogether. It's important understand what you want from life, where you want to go, how you want to feel and really track back to your true self.

What's your purpose, your passion? What makes you live a happy life?

The questions can be hard and overwhelming at first but it's important to get to the root of the life you deserve to live.

Sometimes we feel shit about not reaching a specific energy output and even though the session was GREAT, we feel bad.

--

Today, I talk about how even though you may feel like the session wasn't valuable, that doesn't mean that it wasn't .

Don't use "energy burnt" as a guideline to how valuable a session was.

--

The session can be as valuable as we make it.

The calories don't make something more valuable because the number was high on one day compared to another.

Are you setting yourself up to be in a position of opportunity?

Are you doing the things needed that when an opportunity rolls along, you're in PRIME position to take full advantage of it?

Or are you dropping the ball and when the perfect opportunity comes along, someone one else has positioned themselves in a better position to receive the gift more so than you?

This happens so much in our lives we may not even notice it.

Others are in better positions because THEY put in the work in PREPERATION for this very moment.

So that when that opportunity comes along, they are in pole position.

What position are you sitting in?

Do you do the things needed, even when you don't see a direct return.

Do you live in hope that one day soon that VERY opportunity you've been craving for is there within your grip!

The question is, have you positioned yourself to be the first person in line to receive the chance?

Comment below so I know you're ready and positioned for the NEXT opportunity that comes close enough for you to jump out and take it.

Stop over thinking. Stop being afraid of things in life that you don't need to be afraid of.

Sometimes we tend to give power to situations, events or people.

We start to believe our own stories about how scary something will be or how hard it may be...

Until we actually complete that task or get stuck in to it and realise, it's not so bad after all. Even if we do this with most things in our lives it's easy to forget that the last time you made something out to be more terrifying than it was and you realise that you're still doing the exact same thing with the new situation.

Remember, in most cases, the bite is never as bad as you assumed the bite would be.

Don't get so caught up on the people booing you (haters) and the people cheering for you (supporters).

I say this because if you're doing things for YOU, than it wont matter if anyone is watching. Which means that it won't matter if anyone is booing or cheering. Life will still go on and you truely start to win!

If you want things in life they all come with a sacrifice.

For example. If you want to live in the house you're in, you need to give up some money. rents due, you pay the rent and you get another week of living in your house.

The same goes with skills in the gym. If you want to keep the skills that you have you must pay for them weekly or they will disappear.

Hard work pays off but you must pay for that work with time and effort to keep getting what you've got or to get more from life.
