I was once again joined by the award-winning author and stellar podcast veteran, Russell Little. We kick things off by diving into the journey following the release of his gripping latest novel, "Murder By Storm". But that's just the start. As the co-host of the legendary podcast "Author Talk" – which is about to hit an incredible 10-year milestone – Russell has a front-row seat to the ever-changing world of storytelling. We get into the show's rich history and its mission to give authors a megaphone for their voices.Get ready for some real laughs as we fearlessly tackle the genre of Dark Romance (yes, we went there – 50 Shades, we see you!). Russell also paints a vivid picture of the wild evolution of book festivals in India, where you are now just as likely to find live concerts and drinking stalls as you are a stack of books – turning literary events into full-blown rock shows. Then, we go somewhere raw and real. We unpack author Arnold Ludwig’s book, "The Price of Greatness", which explores the fragile, often dangerous link between creativity and mental illness. Why are fiction writers more prone to suicidal thoughts? Why do non-fiction writers battle depression at higher rates? This is not just small talk – it’s a necessary, urgent call to action. I quoted on the show "there’s a touch of madness" in all creators, and it’s high time we as a creative community lean in, support each other, and shatter the stigma.

James L. Hill (aka J.L. Hill) isn’t just an author—he’s a living, breathing New York story. Born in the fire of the South Bronx’s Fort Apache during the turbulent 60s, he grew up in a world where you needed a gang just to go to the store. But between the blues records spinning in the background and the chaos of Vietnam and the Civil Rights Movement outside his door, James became something rare with a creative heart. A self-proclaimed "hopeless insomniac" with a scientific mind and a moral compass that swings where it pleases, James has lived enough for three lifetimes—Catholic school kid, wild child, computer programmer, and finally, a writer who channels his Bronx grit into sharp crime novels and mind-bending sci-fi. His Killer series (starring bulletproof detective Morris ‘Mojo’ Johnson) reads like a love letter to the streets that raised him, while Pegasus: A Journey to New Eden and The Emerald Lady prove he’s just as at home in the stars as he is in a back alley.Through RockHill Publishing, he’s not just telling his own stories—he’s holding the door open for others. Shaped one of the most original voices in indie publishing.

J.M. Shaw isn't just writing fantasy—she's weaving pieces of her own journey into every page. Living in Airdrie, Alberta with her husband and two young children, Shaw brings a deeply personal perspective to her stories. I am thrilled to introduce you to an incredible artist who took a leap of faith to follow her passion—and her story is nothing short of inspiring. Back in 2015, she was a sophomore at the University of Southern Mississippi, studying nursing, when she realized something wasn’t right. The passion she once had for nursing was gone, leaving her feeling lost and out of place. After some soul-searching and advice from loved ones, she made the bold decision to drop out of school and move back home. She found a full-time job, but even then, something was still missing. Then, one night, everything changed. In a dream, she saw herself on stage, singing in front of a crowd. Singing had always been a love of hers, but she never believed she could do it professionally. That dream sparked something in her, and just two weeks later, she met vocal coach Stephanie Stubbs, who helped her build her confidence and hone her talent. Within a month, she was in Atlanta recording her first single, New Thang, with producer Bruce Billups. The song was a hit in the southern soul genre, but she knew her heart was in R&B—the soulful, emotional music she grew up loving. From there, her journey took off. She connected with rapper Zeus and producer Dilla, wrote her first song, Vibing, and soon after, released her debut EP, TEA (Time, Effort, Anticipation). The EP gained traction, and she started booking shows, building her name in the industry. In 2018, she joined The Consortium MMT in Memphis, an organization founded by Stax Records legend David Porter. There, she sharpened her songwriting, performance skills, and learned the business side of music—marketing, publishing, and more. It was also where she met producers Craylon Davis and Jamaal Franklin, who became key collaborators on her latest EP, Emotions. Created during the pandemic, Emotions is a deeply personal project that reflects her growth as an artist and as a person.Through setbacks, disappointments, and challenges, she’s kept going, fueled by faith and determination. Her story is a testament to the power of taking risks and following your dreams. She believes that risk-taking is essential to growth and reaching your full potential—and her journey proves it.Join us as we dive into her incredible story, her creative process, and the lessons she’s learned along the way. If you’ve ever doubted whether you should take that leap of faith, this conversation will inspire you to go for it. After a rather extensive review of the literature that is out there, I found that there was literature that looked at mentoring and mental health from an academic perspective but not from a practice perspective. That needed to change.Writing this book providing me with the opportunity to confront some of my demons and to also better understand why I had behaved the way that I did. I realized that I had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and that I had not treated it properly. I had relied on my spouse and two children to provide the support that I needed and yet they had their own trauma in dealing with my behaviour. This book will give you a glimpse into my own story which will help you understand the value that mentoring could have brought me."You Are Not Alone" provides you with some insight into the world of mentoring and mental health. I hope that you come to the same conclusion that I did. There is truly a place for mentoring as part of the support structure for mental health. The benefits are many and include; reduced sick time in the organization, engaged employees, less turn over, less stress and anxiety, to name but a few.I have learned so much in writing this book for you. WEB3 MUSIC STREAMING PLATFORM TUNE.FM RAISES $50M IN FUNDING
On Friday, September 6th, 2024, I had the pleasure of hosting a thought-provoking conversation with England-based musician, artist, author, and free speech advocate, Sean Bw Parker. Sean and I took a completely different journey—away from music itself and into the broader global political landscape. What made this episode truly unique was how we explored the role of art—whether it's music, painting, literature, or film—as a powerful tool for influencing societal change. We dived into how creativity can shape policies, challenge the status quo, and even sway elections.Like it or not, politics impacts us all. But as independent artists, do we fully understand the power we hold to influence minds and shift perspectives? Through our lyrics, our visuals, and our words, we can encourage people to exercise their rights to free speech, to fight for justice, and to question those in power. The big question is: how do you, as an artist, use that power? Do you take the quick, easy path that may seem lucrative at first, or the longer, more meaningful route? As Sean wisely pointed out, "Once you’ve got something through the short path, you’ve got something to lose." This conversation offers valuable insight for artists on recognizing and wielding their influence responsibly. As I said during the show, "We often look at the macro, hoping to change the world as artists, but if you can impact even 100 lives in your community, that alone is a huge victory”. Join us for this deep dive into the intersection of art and global politics. Let's explore how artists can inspire real change!
On Friday, August 23rd, I had the honor of welcoming an entertainment powerhouse who I believe will be remembered as a modern Hip-Hop icon: Kelda Williams, also known as Keldamuzik aka Diva. Kelda is an American music artist, actress, TV host, and producer who has been breaking barriers and pushing the culture forward.Keldamuzik is truly one of the hardest working entertainment entrepreneurs we’ve come across. From launching her music career in the 2000s as both an artist and producer, to branching out into acting, fashion, advocacy for black female artists, and even hosting her own podcast, she’s constantly raising the bar in everything she does. And she does it all with authenticity and a unique style. In our conversation, we explored her early experiences as one of the few female artists entering the hip-hop scene at the time, and how she navigated those challenges. We also dove into how R&B/POP/Hip-Hop artists today are using EDM/Country to build larger audiences—like how Rihanna and Beyoncé successfully did so by diversifying their sound. The key takeaway for independent artists? Don’t get too comfortable—explore different lanes to grow your career. We also discussed the impact of AI music on the industry, both now and in the future, and whether it risks overshadowing the authentic storytelling that makes music meaningful.A major highlight of the discussion was how hip-hop culture has evolved from the 2000s to 2024. Back then, it was all about real stories and raw truth, whereas today, it feels more like image and “sexy” aesthetics are selling the music instead of the music itself. This deep dive into trends explored the balance between staying relevant and staying true to yourself as an artist. This episode is packed with insights on navigating the ever-changing music industry while staying authentic.

It's been three weeks since flying solo on the show, and what an incredible ride it's been! From the deep, meaningful conversation with Dr. Diane Kaufman, diving into the music business with Zoey Tess, to rocking out with A Moment of Violence, these past episodes have been packed with invaluable insights for independent artists. Each guest brought something unique to the table, and there's so much to learn from these industry pros. Today I am sharing my usual dose of music business dopeness and giving you a quick recap of what you can expect from the last three live episodes.
I was joined on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 with members of the South Florida Nu Metalcore band, "A Moment of Violence" (AMOV). Representing the band were Desi Pena aka Dez (lead writer, producer, engineer, and guitarist), Russell Miller aka Russ (writer and vocalist), and Brent Richardson (writer and guitarist).Signed to the label "Wake UP! Music Rocks!," AMOV has achieved remarkable success, including three top 20 positions on the DRT Rock Chart, which tracks radio spins globally. Since their inception, they've released powerful tracks like "S.H.O.T.S Fired - An Anthem for the Betrayed," "My Endless Nightmare," "Stone Cold Killer," "Forgiveness," and their latest single, "Bullet."I was particularly impressed by the band's outstanding song writing and their ability to produce music videos that would have dominated the MTV charts during its heyday. In today's saturated industry, discovering top talent often requires sifting through various sources. Kino emphasized that if MTV were still at its peak, AMOV's music videos would have made an immediate impact, given their high-quality production. The band's dedication to their craft shines through, even in an often overwhelming industry. The band members shared their journey of producing the music video for "My Endless Nightmare," a 16-hour shoot. This video earned recognition at the 2024 Music Video Awards, where director Dominick Giorgianni was honored with the Best Director Award. A behind the scenes documentary is available on their YouTube channel. Dez dived into their creative process, and the group collectively discussed what it's like to be signed to a label in 2024. Despite industry concerns about red tape and gatekeepers, AMOV enjoys full creative control and a positive relationship with "Wake UP! Music Rocks!”. The band discussed their collaborative working relationship, highlighting only positive experiences and a foundation of mutual respect. The conversation also explored the band's growing international audience, with significant support from South America and Europe, highlighting the importance of understanding audience demographics for growth. Offstage, the members lead humble lives, enjoying good food and cherishing moments together. When asked about their future plans, their response was clear: "TO THE MOON" with AMOV. I genuinely believe this is exactly where they’re headed.

I discuss the inequality present in the music industry, highlighting the challenges faced by artists from lower income backgrounds......
"Stop chasing the 360 record label deal. Get your house in order, get your business in order."
A short (very short) story......
Artist: "The last time I performed was in 2014."
Me: Why?
Artist: "Life happened." (What he means is a lack of fundamental resources needed to pursue a professional career.)
The mainstream music industry focus on the top 10%, and they overlook the bottom 10%. These artists are not in the bottom 10% because they lack talent - they are incredibly talented (with talent direction), they lack a proper independent music business structure (80/20 rule).
When we discuss inequality, we usually think of race, color, creed, and religion. But what about social class? Around +-95% of successful artists come from middle or upper-class backgrounds, not from the lower (even if they say they do). We have a problem here (real vs persona).
We are bringing back this artist (above) who last performed in 2014. We are fixing the wrongs and giving him a chance to shine again, getting him on a track featuring Weezy - branding leverage to get back in the game!

After an experience this week where a music house stole a mandate from me, I realized how crucial it is to share more real life events with all you independent artists out there. This episode dives into why it’s absolutely vital to have solid contractual agreements in place before starting any project. I will be discussing the importance of being legally protected and the steps you should take to ensure your work and rights are secured. Don't let anyone take advantage of your hard work! Claim your credit!
I will also be touching on the double standards major labels have when it comes to AI music platforms. It seems like they are all for pursuing deals that benefit their artists but quick to sue platforms that offer AI benefits to any artist. It’s clear - it’s not that they have an issue with AI, they just want to control it.

The potential implications of music streaming services introducing charges for free subscription tiers, as proposed by Sony Music, raise critical questions regarding user accessibility, revenue models, and the balance between ad-supported and premium offerings.
While increased revenues and improved content investment may seem like advantageous outcomes, the risk of user backlash, reduced market access in emerging economies, and negative public perception pose significant challenges for all stakeholders in the music ecosystem

In this episode, I dive into a major move by the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) calling for changes to US copyright law. The NMPA wants Congress to give music publishers more control over how their music is licensed to streaming services.
The NMPA argues that rights holders should have the option to either license their music through the Mechanical Licensing Collective (MLC) using set royalty rates or withdraw from the MLC to negotiate in a free market, provided they meet certain conditions. This proposal, detailed in a letter from NMPA President and CEO David Israelite to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees on May 21, aims to address the “continued abuse of the statutory system by digital services”.
This push for legislative change comes amidst ongoing tensions between US music publishers and Spotify. The conflict heated up in March when Spotify reclassified its Premium Individual, Duo, and Family plans as "bundles" due to their inclusion of audiobooks, sparking controversy over royalty payments.
Tune in for an insightful discussion on the evolving landscape of music rights and the battle for fair compensation in the digital age.

In this episode, I dive into valuable lessons for parents nurturing a child's talent, inspired by Michael Jackson's early life:
Nurturing vs. Pushing: Understand the fine line between encouraging talent and pushing too hard. Focus on fostering a love for the activity with positive reinforcement and letting creativity shine.
Importance of Balance: Ensure talent development doesn't overshadow a normal childhood. Balance activities with playtime and social interactions.
Emotional Well-being: Prioritize your child's emotional health. Create a supportive environment for open communication and trust.
Respecting Individuality: Recognize and celebrate your child's unique personality and interests. Avoid projecting your ambitions onto them.
Communication and Consent: Maintain open dialogue and respect your child's consent. Don't force participation if they're unhappy.

This week, I'm excited to share Chapter Two of "Unlocking Michael Jackson" from my series "Unlocking the Icons with Kino Isaac". For just $5 a month, you can subscribe via Patreon and dive deep into the lives of music's greatest icons.
Chapter Two Notes:
The Jackson 5 and Solo Stardom (1971-1979)
Michael Jackson continues to front The Jackson 5 as a teen, now known as The Jackson 5ive.
Tensions arise between The Jackson 5 and Motown Records regarding creative control, financial disputes, touring, and shifting focus.
In 1975, The Jackson 5 leaves Motown and signs with CBS Records, renaming them The Jacksons.
Jackson starts a solo career in parallel with The Jackson 5, releasing his debut album "Got to Be There" in 1972 at age 13.
"Got to Be There" showcases Michael's versatility as a vocalist, with hits like the title track and "Rockin' Robin."
Challenges of a parallel career include time management, creative differences, financial considerations, and public perception.
Lessons for independent artists include open communication, prioritizing the group, transparency, maintaining focus, and managing expectations.
Positive examples of successful parallel careers include Beyoncé with Destiny's Child and Pharrell Williams with The Neptunes.
Additional tips include starting small, utilizing different platforms, focusing on collaboration, and learning from Michael Jackson's experience.
In 1979, The Jacksons leave Motown for CBS Records.

I briefly recap the difference between music masters and music publishing, emphasizing the importance of understanding the legalities and administrative aspects of the music business. I explain that masters refer to the final master recording and are owned by the record label, while publishing focuses on the composition and lyrics, owned by the songwriters and publishers.
I highlight the need for independent artists and labels to focus on the admin and legalities to sustain and grow a sustainable music business.
I also discuss recent developments in the music industry, such as the licensing deal between Universal Music Group and TikTok, the expiration of the National Music Publishers Association's deal with TikTok, and Spotify's controversial move to lower royalty rates for songwriters.

Understanding the distinction between Music Publishing and Music Masters is fundamental for anyone involved in the music industry. In simple terms, the master refers to the final audio recording, while publishing refers to the underlying musical composition, often in the form of sheet music or written notation. It's crucial to note that publishing should not be mistaken for distribution, as they serve distinct functions within the industry. Additionally, it's worth highlighting that publishing tends to gain higher financial returns compared to masters. To ensure you navigate the industry landscape effectively and protect your rights, let's dive deeper into these differences.

In today's episode, I covered a few different topics, but one thing really stood out to me. I talked about my recent partnership with another company through an affiliation. They've got this incredible AI voice tool that's seamlessly integrated with your DAW. What's cool about this is that it's not just for vocalists, it's also for songwriters who want to explore their own singing talents instead of always writing for others. These tools are going to be a real game-changer for anyone with singing aspirations behind the scenes.

This morning, I had a phone call with a direct partner of Posh My Gosh Records, and I'll be honest, I try not to let things get to me, especially when I'm still recovering from the flu. But today, I couldn't help it.
He mentioned that vocalists looking for opportunities in the industry are making things difficult because they demand upfront payment. It's mind-boggling!
If this is your mindset and you haven't taken the time to educate yourself on how to leverage your talents, you're essentially holding yourself back. You're not seeing the bigger picture, not thinking about the long term.

Here are ten things that people often worry about, that won't matter in 5 years. Stop letting it consume 95% of your mind.
Small Embarrassments: Moments of embarrassment or social awkwardness may feel significant in the moment, but they often fade with time.
Minor Mistakes: Small errors or mishaps in daily life are usually not remembered in the long term.
Others Opinions: It's natural to care about what others think, but dwelling too much on others' opinions can be draining. In most cases, people move on quickly and don't remember minor details.
Temporary Setbacks: Short-term setbacks in career, relationships, or personal goals are part of life's journey. While they can be frustrating, they often lead to growth and new opportunities.
Comparisons to Others: Constantly comparing oneself to others can lead to feelings of inadequacy. Remember that everyone's path is unique, and comparison often does more harm than good.
Trends: Trends in fashion, technology, or pop culture may seem important at the moment, but they often fade away with time.
Unchangeable Past: Ruminating on past mistakes or regrets serves little purpose since the past cannot be altered. Instead, focus on the present moment and future possibilities.
Momentary Inconveniences: Traffic jams, long lines, or minor inconveniences are frustrating in the moment but generally forgotten soon after.
Negative Self-Talk: Beating oneself up over perceived flaws or shortcomings only undermines self-confidence. Practice self-compassion and focus on personal growth instead.
Fear of Failure: Fear of failure can hold people back from pursuing their goals. Remember that failure is often a stepping stone to success and an opportunity for learning and growth.

Think of a Massive Transformational Purpose (MTP) like your big, bold reason for making music - a mission that's about more than just tunes. It's like having a powerful story behind your songs, one that's all about making a real difference in the world.
Sure, being a talented artist matters, but having an MTP takes things to a whole new level. It's like having a North Star guiding you, inspiring every beat and lyric you create. It's what gives your music that extra punch, making it more than just sounds - it's a force for change.
So, while talent is great, having an MTP is what sets apart artists who truly leave their mark. It's like having a superpower that fuels your music with purpose, meaning, and a whole lot of heart.

In 2023, only approximately 19% of artists, roughly 2 million out of around 11 million, managed to accumulate over 1000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
This means that approximately 9 million creators are not earning royalties currently in 2024......
This means approximately 9 million creators are demotivated in 2024......
This means approximately 9 million creators feel like giving up in 2024......
This means approximately 9 million creators are psychologically damaged in 2024.......
This means approximately 9 million creators feel they not good enough in 2024......
This means approximately 9 million creators are getting the "I told you so" from negative friends and family in 2024...... (fuck them).
This also means, there lies an opportunity for innovation and growth. To start reframing the negatives as opportunities and seeking out hidden blessings, creators can unlock their potential and chart a new course forward.

But here's the thing - life is unpredictable, and plans often take unexpected turns. That's where adaptability comes in. Being able to think on your feet, pivot when necessary, and embrace change with open arms is what sets apart the achievers from the dreamers.

We have recently achieved a significant milestone at Posh My Gosh Records, as we have successfully sealed our first international compilation licensing deal. This exciting agreement covers one record over a span of five years. (Learn more about how we can provide similar services by consulting at the Kino Isaac Consulting Agency).
While this accomplishment is truly remarkable, it also brings to light the topic of licensing from the perspective of music users, particularly DJs. When we compare the music industry to the gaming industry, it becomes evident that the former is undervalued. One contributing factor is that the gaming industry is more regulated and structured, ensuring that creators are fairly compensated under favorable conditions.
As music creators, we invest countless hours of hard work into crafting our unique sounds, and naturally, we want to be able to sustain ourselves through our artistic endeavors, just like any other job. However, one of the challenges faced by independent creators (and even mainstream artists) is the issue of DJs and venues neglecting to submit licensing requests to performing rights organizations (PROs) before using creators’ works in live performances (performance royalties).
I must admit that I have also been guilty of this oversight in the past. However, I am now dedicated to rectifying this situation and ensuring that music creators receive the compensation they deserve for their compositions.
It is disheartening to see that while performing DJs, venues, and promoters are duly paid for their roles in the music ecosystem, the creators behind the compositions used in these performances often go unpaid. We all share a responsibility within the music and entertainment economy to address this imbalance and ensure that proper licensing practices are followed, allowing creators to receive the recognition and financial support they deserve.
By promoting awareness and encouraging DJs and venues to submit licensing requests to PROs, we can collectively work towards a more equitable and sustainable music industry. At Posh My Gosh, we are committed to championing the rights of music creators and fostering a culture of fair compensation throughout the industry.

This week, we paid tribute to the legendary music icon, Tina Turner, who passed away at 83.
Turner, born Anna Mae Bullock, was an American singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer.
Rising to fame in the 1960s with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, she later became a solo artist, captivating audiences with her powerful voice and electrifying stage presence. Known as the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll," Turner released chart-topping hits like "Proud Mary", "Simply the Best" and "What's Love Got to Do with It."
She earned multiple Grammy Awards, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Beyond her music, Turner's life was a testament to resilience, overcoming personal and professional challenges. Her influence extended to fashion and popular culture, inspiring artists worldwide.
We bid farewell to this extraordinary pioneer and remember Tina Turner for her incredible contributions, leaving behind a lasting legacy. Rest in peace, Tina Turner, and thank you for sharing your extraordinary talent with the world.

Today I am discussing the crucial aspects of legally securing your music production. As an artist, producer, or songwriter, it is essential to have a thorough understanding of legal agreements to protect your creative work.
We'll be focusing on three key legal documents - non-disclosure agreements, split sheets, and publishing contracts. These legal agreements are crucial in protecting your interests and ensuring that you receive proper credit and compensation for your work.
Non-disclosure agreements or NDAs are essential when sharing your music with others. NDAs ensure that the person receiving your music cannot share it with anyone else without your permission. This is especially important when you're collaborating with other artists, producers, or songwriters.
Split sheets are another important document that ensures that everyone involved in the production of a song receives proper credit and compensation. A split sheet is a legal document that outlines the percentage of ownership of a song between all the parties involved, such as songwriters, producers, and performers.
Publishing contracts are essential for ensuring that you receive proper compensation for your creative work. A publishing contract is an agreement between you and a music publisher that outlines the terms of the use of your music. This includes royalty payments, licensing, and distribution agreements.
In summary, non-disclosure agreements, split sheets, and publishing contracts are crucial legal agreements for anyone involved in the music industry. By understanding and utilizing these legal documents, you can ensure that your creative work is protected and that you receive proper credit and compensation for your efforts.

I honestly do understand where mainstream labels & artists are coming from to block AI generated music, but (yes there is a "but") how can they stop this?
Drake & AI has made headlines over the last few days - over 600 000 streams on Spotify alone is insane! For an AI generated track featuring Drakes vocals.
DSP's have removed the music under extreme pressure, but this won't be the last!
My thoughts are talks need to happen now on how to not ban it, but regulate it. Get artists compensated while still embracing this emerging technology!

Building a life of legacy is something that many people desire, but few truly achieve.
The idea of legacy is often associated with wealth, success & fame, but in reality, a life of legacy is much more than that! It’s about leaving a positive impact on the world, inspiring and influencing others to follow in your footsteps to achieve greatness & making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around you — It’s much bigger than you!
To start — building a life of legacy is to define your values & vision.
Your values are the principles that guide your actions, decisions & behavior.
Your vision is the big picture of what you want to achieve & the impact you want to make in the world.
Take some time to reflect on what’s important to you, what you’re passionate about & what you want to be remembered for. Write down your values & vision — use them as a guide for making decisions and setting goals!
Set meaningful goals that align with your values & vision — Your goals should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant & time-bound.
Your goals should also be aligned with your values & vision & have a positive impact on the world. Don’t just set goals based on what society, your friends & family expect of you — Set goals that are meaningful to you — Goals that will help you achieve your vision & make a difference in the industry!
To build a life of legacy, you need to have a growth mindset. This means that you believe that your abilities, skills & talents can be developed through hard work, perseverance, & dedication!
One of the most important principles of building a life of legacy is to be of service to others. Legacy is not just about what you achieve for yourself, but also about the impact you make on others. Find ways to give back to your community, help others achieve their goals & make a positive difference in the lives of those around you — Remember, your legacy is not just about what you do, but also about the people whose lives you touch.
Your legacy is not just about what you achieve for yourself, but also about the impact you make on others.

I come across many people these days who will tell me they have lost faith in humanity — lost faith in trusting, believing & being optimistic about collaboration.
This is what humans has in many ways brought on itself. Not keeping ones word, not coming through on an agreement, not having the mindset of growing together — rather using each other for our own selfish benefits, followed by a “fuck you” afterwards.
As for me — I still have faith that this mentality can change. No matter what the world throws at me or who fucks me over, I still wake up the next day with the mentality of “who can I help today”.
People can change if they want — IF THEY WANT! Meaning it’s a choice to be an ass or be someone of value. We spend so much time crafting our skills, job etc… which is needed, but we lose focus on the most important craft, ourselves in all psychological factors. By not addressing the subconscious mind, we never change, we never grow, we never look at the world differently.
I use to be an ass — a asshole — today I am not the same person I use to be. What have I done differently? Focus on reprogramming my mind. A mind that was polluted with external factors out of my control growing up.
It’s changed my behavior, habits, transformed me from wanting to compete in the music industry — to who can I collaborate with to make dopeness, change the game & bring faith back to society.
It takes time, patience & daily work. Start by being honest with yourself, your weaknesses — ask the question of why do I act this way or treat people wrong. Could be because of family, a relationship that ended bad, unhealthy environment — write that shit down & start working from the inside out to fix it. You will see the results.
By fixing ourselves — we automatically by law of attraction, bring positive vibes to our lives, which in return, gets spread out to people we associate with on a daily that take on the same way of living!
We bring back the faith….

As an artist - times will become overwhelming - you will be going crazy in thoughts & emotions. A good percentage of artists will look for comfort from people, scared to face their past, present & future - I was one of them.
During your darkest moments of creativity - you need to face those moments alone, by doing it alone you will find the answers you are searching for, alone you will find the solutions to your roadblocks, alone you will learn things about yourself that you never knew existed.
This psychological process is not easy, but we must remain strong in all forms to become the best version of ourselves as musicians. You will start to think you doing something wrong, rather give up - do not - this is a sign of greatness!

Curiosity is my philosophy.
When I was a kid - I use to daydream - I still do.
Imagination is the stepping stone - curiously wondering is the motivation. No school, college or university will ever bring out your true potential - it's not designed for imagination, that's why they tell you in class "stop daydreaming".
Ever wondered what's on the other side? Of life? Of your job? Your comfort zone? Your life as it is?
What if you funded your dream, not a fancy education? What if you left your day job, worked on faith instead? What if you took the risk, it all worked out in the end?
The point is we all as humans wonder, think & have huge imagination - it's there for a reason.
Here's the hard core reality - the mind is our power house. What you think about the most, what you daydream about the most, what you curious about the most - is your life. Stop running - embrace it.

I'm always evolving - I'm not the same person I was last year - fuck - I may not even be the same person I am now, next week.
Stephen Hawking once said "Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change" 💯
There has been arguments did he or did he not - Irrelevant 🤨 It's a powerful statement!
I use to hate change - was always comfortable in my hustle - doing the same thing, day in, day out, same company, same tasks, same BULLSHIT 🙌 thinking it was going to bring me life long happiness - it doesn't!
I'm not that same person today - I'm not the same person I was yesterday - the only people who will have a problem with that is the ones who are scared of change, scared of possibilities, scared of growth, scared of losing people, scared of risk, scared of sacrifice - all this means is 👇

Someone once said "Being 100% in is easier than being 98% in".....
So many people have skills, talents & the abilities to do great things, but they limited by people, fear & comfort zones created by bad choices.
Many will live full & die empty, many will take their dreams to the grave.
One thing I never want is to reach the end & realize I lived my life wrong - that my life itself was actually a terrible dream.
I personally make bad choices on a daily - but does it mean I stay bubbled up in it under the illusion that I can't escape? Nope! I adjust the choice I made because I have the option to do so, we all do. Why would I allow my skills to become rusted material when I can turn it into a lifelong opportunity? It's a God given asset.
When we have food, we say thank you. When we have shelter, we say thank you. When we have clothes, we say thank you. Right? So why don't we say thank you & embrace our talents & skills fully when it was a gift? If we won't allow someone to steal our belongings, why do we allow ourselves to steal our own dreams unconsciously because of choices?

The most important advice I can give to any teen or anyone in their early 20's 👉 Don't chase love, don't chase money & don't rush to have your life figured out. Live life on your own terms, enjoy the process, do what you love & have loads of fun.
Don't chase love:
It's not something you go after, it's something that happens through a magical flaming connection. Be patient.
Don't chase money:
The more you get, the more you want - it never ends & you will never be satisfied. Be content with what you have. Give gratitude! Earn to learn.
Don't rush life:
Follow your hearts most valuable desires - don't confuse patience with execution. If your heart is 100% committed, it falls into place.
Humans make life more complicated than it actually should be, when it's actually based around simple basic life principles.
There is no harm in taking 20 steps back at any given time to move 50 steps forward.

This is generally how life is subconsciously - think about it for a second - we all got the same 24 hours in a day, it's how we utilize it that makes the significant difference. The hard core fact is that 99% of people could be great, but are too lazy to try or more true, they driven by fear, not passion for life - consumed by distractions.
There is no secret formula to anything anyone has done to be great in the music industry - it all came down to "I want it bad", consistency & a fucken grind! No excuses!! (These you get for FREE).
Have you ever wondered why so many mainstream artists, mainstream radio stations & old skool labels keep getting a massive hype yet give nothing solid back? They play with the 99% that they have a secret formula - they don't! Any independent artist can make it to the biggest stages of all without selling their soul - you just have to be willing to change, put in the work on a daily & fucken believe! Be driven by passion!
I never wait - I kick ass & grind my way inside the door!

The mind has the power to manifest anything you want, but the heart has the power to direct you to where you need to be. They need to be in spiritual sync.
How many times do we say "fuck it - I'm giving up" - a lot! Most people follow up with that simply because there was no love for the game - they were too much in their own head - dwelling on the failures & how much work it actually takes, rather than why they wanted it. You have to be in it for the love of the game!
I'm still in my process of who I want to be in the next 10 years, but while we all playing our game we should 👇
....... all develop this attitude 👉 You don't need to be rich, own a business or be popular. Just share positivity, kindness, good and bad experiences, share the moments in life that defined you, the mistakes made, supported by the psychological come back. Just tell someone you care about them, you proud of them and believe in them - you will change their life.

The most important decisions in life come down to one moment - that one moment.
How many times in life have you said "maybe tomorrow", "let me think about it", "maybe another time", "I will give it some thought" - mmmmm like what the fuck you need to think about if you know what you wanna do with your life?
I say this with passion - WHEN IT'S ALL YOU EVER WANTED - THERE IS NO LIMITS - THERE IS NO MAYBES - THERE IS NO SECOND GUESSING!
Society: What if it was a waste of time and didn't benefit me - what if I fail?
Me: If you not willing to lose or fail along the way, stop now!

If you doing the same thing, same job (even in your own business), same predictability of living you did last year - there is no growth (we have heard that before). Let's take it to next level - if you doing the same thing you did LAST WEEK there is no growth!
The world is evolving at such a rapid speed - how we do it, how we did it, what use to be, is not changing yearly - it's changing DAILY!
Short, medium, long term goals must be taken into consideration BUT you have to be willing to think on your feet daily - take action on opportunities daily. Your tasks will change daily, but here's the thing..... You won't feel under pressure and it will be hard for anyone to outwork you, why? Love what you do!
Stay on top of your game, don't compare, hustle hard, be consistent, educate yourself, discipline yourself, network, be patient and for fuck sakes PUT IN THE WORK!!

Don't confuse confidence with ego - not the same. To be extremely over confident in yourself, your abilities, your skills, your dopeness is not a sin - it's a sign of true self awareness growth!
How can anyone fuck with you, love you, respect you if you don't yourself? Too many give themselves less credit, less love and self care - listening to all the wrong voices - not the one that matters most - the one deep inside.
Stop trying so hard to fit into the world and let the world fit into you. You here for a reason, a deeper purpose, a deeper meaning - if you haven't questioned why - what the fuck you been doing?
Many get over stressed trying to fix their lives externally - not fixing internally first which is the MAIN starting point.

Are you ready for 2022?
Valid question 👆 not many are.....
Why? As humans we tend to dwell and hold on to the past - things we could not control. The job loss, business setbacks, financial problems, family issues, school failures - you get the picture.
You got two options at midnight tonight - dwell on the past or be optimistic about the year ahead. Set your goals, be brave, have faith, overcome your fears & keep it real. With God ALL is possible!
Now is not the time to dream anymore, now is the time to have a vision - now is the time for #VISIONPOSHIBLE 😉

People won't remember you for what you had - they will remember you for who you were.
Life vs death has been misunderstood. Life is your biggest lie and death is your very realistic reality. Living under the assumption that you will not die one day, is next level ignorance and you living with limits. You got one shot at life - kill it!
Will people remember you for the fancy car you drove, the million dollar mansion, the branded clothing, vanity metrics OR will they remember you for being kind, generous, humble, down to earth, considerate, no ego, willing to assist, an inspiration? Touch emotions, minds & what people want vs what you want.
"Famous won't make you great, but great will make you famous"
Having a skill, talent, status is cool - what you do with it to benefit the next person is what builds long lasting relationships & legacy.
So if you want to do something with meaningful purpose - focus on people before profits or fame.

Many people are waiting for that huge financial moment to happen in order to start building their foundation - to make it seem all worth it. If that's the case, you lacking a key ingredient in life - PASSION!
When you driven my passion, your dream pulls you into unknown positive directions with no effort on your end. It's law of attraction.
If people you associate yourself with are money driven, get rid of them, their materialistic needs will slow you down. They don't have vision and no vision = lack of innovation.
If people you associate yourself with are driven by passion - it's a game changer. You will add value to each others life for long term happiness and growth.

Now that I am 100% myself (listen to last weeks show) - I feel reborn! In life - things happen (not always good things) & we tend to always ask "why" - "why is this happening to me" or "why is God doing this to me". I have realized that bad phases in life happen with reasoning & I got no doubt that God always has an agenda.
At times (being human) we ignore signs, our heart & what matters most - this is when you may go through a bad experience and find that it happened so you can connect with "what matters most".
We live in a materialistic world - once upon a time money and living a lavish lifestyle was the thoughts - I mean this was programmed into us via family or society - its actually sad! Just being HAPPY is enough! - Listen to my thoughts on the matter and what I really want out of life.

"School failed me, and I failed the school. It bored me. The teachers behaved like Feldwebel (sergeants). I wanted to learn what I wanted to know, but they wanted me to learn for the exam. What I hated most was the competitive system there, and especially sports. Because of this, I wasn't worth anything, and several times they suggested I leave." Albert Einstein
After mentioning the topic during previous episodes- this week I chat about the failing traditional socialist educational system that is draining all forms of creativity & innovation from students. A system that is brainwashing, manipulating & programming your mind to follow the governments agenda & way of thinking. A system designed via the saying "work hard" so you can be become a great world-class employee - paying high taxes that enrich corrupt politicians. A system that kills all goals & dreams!
Parents - listen to your children, give them room to breath & support their God given talents/skills!
I share my personal story of my failures in school - a system that labels people "smart" but they not, labels people "stupid" but they not.

In building a business from scratch - you need to be your own manager, business manager, HR, sales manager, driver, packer, PA, admin etc... It's been many people all at once - day to day. For me personally - I do it all - there is no job or task that is beneath me - that's my passion and belief acting out - it keeps me humble & disciplined.
I briefly chat about South Africans having panic attacks based on assumptions that lockdown regulations may change - roll with the punches and stop allowing politicians to effect your mental health.
I must be crazy - but I am living in a country where "the people" allow government to keep messing up with no consequence - it's similar to paying an employee that sleeps the whole day.

Liberty is our God given right - no politician, government or liberal will dictate what I should or not do - these fools are playing political games & got double standards! It is the people who are selfish, never cared about anyone but themselves prior to the pandemic, cause havoc on the streets, abuse alcohol and have never taken care of themselves that will ask "where is your mask" - what a JOKE!!
On EP13 I go deep into my life & share my story through 2020 till date - just like many - I had plans (probably my biggest plans for my life) but my life was turned upside down- it wasn't easy - but with faith, belief & consistency I pulled myself through it. Bullying in schools is an international issue that has not been addressed 100% by government, the educational system, parents & educational staff. The response (if any) is outdated as we are now living in the digital space.
"These days if bullying takes place, it goes viral via social media and never ends. Posts or videos can explode on multiple platforms for thousands of people to view, resulting in a much deeper, negative psychological impact on children that can lead them to take their own life (no age gap)."
This week I share my thoughts on the matter which is now public - S/O to The Benoni City Times (JHB, SA) for supporting this mandate. We need to educate the future leaders of tomorrow to keep a balance on social media, more regulation & practice respect & kindness that will filter down to the youth.
"Now, I am not saying don’t allow children or students to take advantage of the technology and digital resources available to enhance their personal growth, but if they learn to keep a balance and control their emotions then this will lead to positive results."Bullying leaves a lifelong scar - it ruins lives & can take it away. To any victim of physical or cyber bullying - you have to save yourself, keep mentally strong & know that you have a purpose!

EP11 & I am now live on #PandoraPodcasts! Truly grateful & blessed to have this opportunity - against all odds - here I am!
From the time we are born until 7 years of age - your brain (subconscious) is capturing every moment & if negative or positive - what is stored goes with you into your teens & eventually adulthood.
Many act, think and emotionally respond to situations negatively & this is the result of a your current subconscious & the only way to fix a broken mind, is to reprogram your mind - this week I chat about the matter & what methods I am currently still using.
Don't fight the universe - rather find the perfect balance between thoughts, emotions & actions! What you think - you are or become!

It's EP10!!!! Firstly I want to say THANK YOU to all who have listened to any episode till date - I really appreciate your support! It has been an exciting first 10 episodes & a lot of fun!
It is better to be prepared & not have an opportunity, than to have an opportunity & not be prepared. As humans we all (including myself) get so caught up in day to day life that we neglect working on our craft which will have a negative impact on you the day you decide you want to chase your dreams because the world is always evolving. Don't let the battery die!
During 2020 and into 2021 we have all faced some phase of darkness & depression - but no matter what we face or how stressful times may be or the fact that you still have a 9-5 - to find true happiness you need to make time for you & your life vision.
If you are passionate about what you do and your heart (intentions) are in the right place - one day is one day!

Your idea that you overthinking can change the economy, the world or industry. Let the market decide!

Life will have many set-backs and obstacles - when you starting from scratch we have to take 10, 20, even 30 steps back at some point, but never lose focus on the vision. Just like many - we all start with "day jobs" & just like many - we get stuck and get deeper into "day jobs" - plan B becomes life, but in life there is no "PLAN B"! You have to risk it all & GO IN 100% on your dream!!
On EP07 I chat about my journey - how I also had a day job but was dying inside - just because you good at something, doesn't mean you love it. Follow you heart - it's God directing you, trust it!
The fear of the unknown can be scary, taking that jump not knowing what will happen - we get consumed by what can go wrong, not realizing a lot can go right - you have to close your eyes and jump with faith!
Don't live, grow old or die with regrets - Death I can accept, what dies inside us while we still alive is a choice!

On EP06 I chat about the brutal truth that none of us are perfect and never will be - from the time we are born, until we pass away. Besides the racial division that we face in society - humans have a tendency of putting their religion or cultural background on a pedestal, brainwashed in thinking how they pray or worship is better than the next - I am here to say you are mistaken! You can be in church every Sunday - no point if you not a good person with a good heart!
Millennial's & Gen Z have the opportunity to change the old school mentality - bring unity and not segregation.
To create a better, loving & caring world - we need to be less judgmental of others - focus on you & not what the next person is doing. Show love & support for each others goals, ambitions & accomplishments.
Your legacy as a person starts now - how will people remember you?

On EP05 I chat about my political beliefs and briefly explain the difference between right-wing & left-wing ideologies - the difference between capitalism & socialism and how liberals interest in you is for power and greed!
I support a free thinking society, capitalist economy, that people of all race, color, creed, religion or cultural background have the right to express themselves and ideas. That anyone can achieve anything with the correct mind-set, ambition and drive
Your vote should not be based on race or culture - it should be based on making a bright future for the youth and future leaders. A future of hope, freedom of speech & innovation.
