Struggle and uncertainty are all too familiar companions in our lives, yet imagine a tool that could reshape the very fabric of our emotional well-being. That's the discussion I have with Dr. Andre McDonald, a skilled hypnotist who shares his profound insights into the world of hypnotherapy. Together, we tackle the stigmas and reveal the transformative potential of this practice, offering hope for those seeking to conquer addictions, soothe anxiety, release the grip of past trauma, and more.

The healing power of hypnotherapy doesn't just stop at breaking the chains of our personal vices; it extends its reach to mend the wounds of emotional trauma. As I recount a personal story of loss, Andre walks us through the delicate process of hypnotherapy - from the initial consultation all the way to mastering the art of reframing life through the power of imagination. We scrutinize the practicalities of selecting the right hypnotherapist, the dynamics of virtual versus in-person sessions, and underscore the importance of professional medical advice when considering new wellness paths.

If you're yearning for a new lens through which to view your challenges or simply curious about the untapped capabilities of your mind, this episode is your gateway to understanding how hypnotherapy can become a pivotal ally in your journey toward a more fulfilled existence.

A special episode, where Tim shares a message about Father's Day for those dads who have lost a child. The holiday takes on a very different meaning when there is no child there to celebrate with.

A chapter from his book Child Loss 101 and an excerpt from one of his other books, When the Cardinal Calls, sets the groundwork for a message that Tim delivers with passion. It's a message to be shared for bereaved fathers everywhere this Father's Day.

I am kicking off the new series with a solo show in which I discuss the pain of being alone when extreme adversity hits. You may have support early on, but eventually you will find yourself alone and that is when things may get the most difficult. On the show, I get brutally honest about how I almost didn't go on after losing my child. A story straight out of my Child Loss 101 book called, "You Are Not Alone" is featured, and a power ballad, "Mountains in Your Way" by Bex adds to this week's dramatic episode. And we finish up with a "Sign of Hope" story to round things out.

If you have ever felt alone, you do not want to skip this show.

This week I wanted to share a conversation I had with Pastor Paul Turner regarding the story of Mary and the birth of Jesus. If you are looking for an interesting take on Christmas, Pastor P delivers. He provides insights about what Mary was going through prior to the birth - things I hadn't really considered before.

Listen in as we discuss how Christmas is a time of both joy and sadness for many who are living with loss and/or facing some form of adversity. Christians sometimes think they can't express sorrow during the most joyous time of year, but Pastor P says that's not true. This is the perfect Christmas time discussion!

In the second Faith Beyond Podcast, I revisit a conversation I had with an amazing lady, Sue Bump. The Good Grandma Gone Bad comedian sat at my kitchen table one day to talk about having faith despite facing cancer, how your family is everything, and that we all need to make sure we are having fun while we can.

This interview will cause you to ponder life and think about how you are living it. It's a short episode, but it's packed full of gems. I am sad to say that this interview was Sue's last as her cancer overtook her later the year we did this show, but her words of wisdom will live on forever.

In this episode, Sue shares:

  • How to make a marriage last for 50 years
  • How she approached her fight with cancer and the value of holding onto your faith
  • Trustin God despite the adversity we may face
  • 3 keys to living a great life

We are entering the holiday season and this can be an extremely difficult time of the year for those who have lost someone they loved. Depression can set in and what was once the most enjoyable time of the year can now be heartwrenching. Negative thoughts may creep in and depression can take over. The question we need to ask is - when is it alright to feel sad and have those dark thoughts and when is it time to seek help?

With that in mind, I wanted to bring someone on the show to talk about suicide awareness and prevention. You may wonder how you are going to survive another holiday season without a piece of your heart. You may feel like you can't go on. It can be difficult, to say the least.
