What does it really mean to be great in the Kingdom of God?
In Matthew 20, Jesus completely redefines greatness. While the world measures success by position, possessions and power, Jesus shows us a different way. True greatness begins by bending our knee to Him, enduring pain with perseverance, living under godly authority and humbling ourselves to serve others.
This message challenges us to examine what is truly first in our lives and reminds us that proximity to Jesus, not what we produce, determines Kingdom success. Following Jesus does not promise a life of comfort, but He faithfully walks with us through the pain and uses it to shape us.
Jesus Himself is our ultimate example. He did not come to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. In His Kingdom, greatness is not found by climbing over others to reach the top. It is found by lowering ourselves so we can lift others up.

What if the greatest obstacle to experiencing God's grace isn't your past, but your sense of entitlement?

What makes someone ready for the Kingdom of God? What do you do when faith feels impossible?
In Matthew 17, Jesus reveals His glory on the mountain before stepping into a valley filled with fear, suffering and doubt. Through the Transfiguration and the healing of a demon possessed boy, we are reminded that Jesus is greater than our circumstances and worthy of our trust.
Faith isn't pretending to have all the answers or never struggling with doubt. It's bringing our honest hearts to Jesus and trusting Him even when life doesn't make sense.
When we fix our eyes on Christ instead of our circumstances, we discover that what seems impossible for us is never impossible for Him.
What are you really looking for? In Matthew 14:34-16:12, Jesus confronts empty religion and reveals that what our hearts are truly searching for isn't found in rules, traditions or trying harder. It's found in Him.
Jesus didn't come to make bad people good or religious people more moral. He came to rescue sinners, transform hearts and invite us into a relationship with God. When we remember His faithfulness and surrender our lives to Him, we discover the freedom, purpose and satisfaction we've been longing for all along.

In Matthew 14, the lives of John the Baptist and Herod reveal a powerful contrast between fearing God and fearing people. While John remained faithful to God's truth no matter the cost, Herod's compromises and desire for approval led to destruction.
This message reminds us that small compromises never stay small, confession is courageous, and Jesus is enough even when life doesn't make sense. Whatever you're carrying today, unanswered prayers, hidden sin, guilt, grief, or disappointment, don't run from Him. Run to Him.

Why did so many people miss Jesus when He was standing right in front of them?

What happens when evil and good seem to grow side by side in the world? In Matthew 13, Jesus teaches through the parables of the weeds, the mustard seed, and the leaven to reveal what the Kingdom of God is really like.
Through these parables, Jesus shows us that God is still at work even when we cannot fully see it. The enemy may sow confusion, pain, and destruction, but God’s Kingdom continues to grow steadily, powerfully, and according to His perfect timing. What starts small can transform everything.
The Kingdom of God is not built through fear, control, or human effort. It grows through the power and presence of Jesus working in and through His people.
Jesus reminds us that judgment belongs to Him, growth belongs to God, and our role is to remain faithful while trusting the harvest is coming.

What is the condition of your heart? How is your soil? In Matthew 13, Jesus teaches the Parable of the Sower and challenges us to examine how we receive the Word of God. Some hearts are hard. Some are shallow. Some are divided by the cares of this world. But when the Word of God lands on good soil, it produces real fruit and lasting transformation.
Following Jesus is not about religion, emotional highs, or trying harder. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ alone.

What happens when religion becomes more about rules than relationship? In Matthew 12, Jesus confronts the Pharisees and exposes how legalism can distort the heart of God.

Jesus heals, but He also calls us to go. In this message from Matthew 9 and 10, we see Jesus open blind eyes, heal the hurting, and remind us that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. But the miracle is not the end of the story, it is the beginning of the mission.
The same Jesus who rescues us also sends us. The harvest is plentiful, the laborers are few, and faith was never meant to stay comfortable. Following Jesus means moving from being rescued to becoming part of the rescue team. Pray boldly. Choose faith over fear. If the tomb is empty, anything is possible.

What if Jesus calls you His, even when the world has called you something else?

This Easter, we celebrate the greatest miracle of all — forgiveness of sin through Jesus.
In Matthew 9, a group of friends does whatever it takes to get a hurting man to Jesus, believing He can change everything. What the man needed most wasn’t physical healing — it was forgiveness. Jesus shows us that our greatest need is not self-improvement but a Savior.
Because of His life, death and resurrection, we are forgiven, free from shame and made new. There is more grace in Jesus than sin in us.
If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, today could be your day. And if you have trusted Him but never been baptized, today is your day to take that step.

Storms are inevitable, but fear doesn’t have to be.
In Matthew 8, Jesus reminds us that following Him will cost us everything — but He is faithful through it all. Even when life feels uncertain, overwhelming or out of control, we can trust that God is still sovereign and still good. The same Jesus who calmed the wind and the waves is able to bring peace to the storms we face today.
God never wastes a hurt.

Do you need a miracle?
In Matthew 8, Jesus meets people in their deepest places of need and demonstrates His authority over sickness, brokenness and darkness. Through these encounters, we see that faith is not about having all the answers— it's about trusting the One who does.
No matter what you are facing, Jesus invites you to come to Him with humility, bold faith and full surrender. He is still the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace and the One who makes all things new.

What did Jesus really mean when He said, “Judge not”? In Matthew 7, Jesus confronts the judgmental spirit that so easily takes root in our hearts and calls His followers to something better—a life marked by grace, humility, and discernment.

In Matthew 6, Jesus warns us to beware of practicing our righteousness to be seen by others, reminding us that with God it’s not just what we do—it’s why we do it.
Giving, praying, and fasting can either be acts of worship or subtle performances for applause, and while we all know we must repent of our wretchedness, Jesus confronts us with the deeper need to repent of religious righteousness rooted in image instead of intimacy. What if following Jesus isn’t about learning more—but about leaving what’s comfortable?
Jesus begins His public ministry not from a place of striving, but from the Father’s approval—and then He immediately goes to work. We’re great at sitting, but Jesus told us to go. We are walking through the second year of a discipleship journey called the 10:10 Life, rooted in John 10:10. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."
Be challenged by all that God continues to call us to, put your yes on the table and take a step of obedience. We should leverage everything God has given us, time, talent and treasure, all for His glory and invest in forever instead of storing up treasures on Earth. It will require us to sacrifice time, comfort, resources, certainty and other “life as usual” things to invest in eternal things that never fade.
One of the most important things that the gospel compels us to is generosity. Jesus did not withhold generosity at the cross and we respond by not withholding from Him.
Whether you are new to this journey, staying faithful through it or deepening the commitment of generosity the Lord has called you to, leverage everything God has given you for His glory and be obedient to the doors He opens.

We are walking through the second year of a discipleship journey called the 10:10 Life, rooted in John 10:10. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." Be challenged by all that God continues to call us to, put your yes on the table and take a step of obedience. We should leverage everything God has given us, time, talent and treasure, all for His glory and invest in forever instead of storing up treasures on Earth. It will require us to sacrifice time, comfort, resources, certainty and other “life as usual” things to invest in eternal things that never fade. One of the most important things that the gospel compels us to is generosity. Jesus did not withhold generosity at the cross and we respond by not withholding from Him. Whether you are new to this journey, staying faithful through it or deepening the commitment of generosity the Lord has called you to, leverage everything God has given you for His glory and be obedient to the doors He opens. When you have been run over by the grace train of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it changes everything about you, especially the way you live your life. Works are the fruit of the changed life; the gospel is the root.
Every man, woman and child is an image-bearer of our great and glorious God and deserve to be treated that way.
God did not give you all you have so you could have all you want, but so others could have all they need.
Intentions are useless. Being a follower of Jesus means that you take the next step of obedience in the direction where He is calling you.
Outbursts of anger reveal a serious heart condition. Does the peace of Christ rule your heart? Or is your anger ruling your life?
God uses the trials in our life like a hammer and chisel to take away everything in us that doesn’t look like Jesus.
The Spirit of God in you is greater than the circumstances around you. This world has trouble. God offers peace that transcends understanding.
The Son of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. His name is Jesus. Do you need healing? Do you have faith?
You don’t have to do the things you used to do because you are not the person that you used to be. The old you is dead. The new you is alive in Christ.
What do you do with doubts and unanswered questions? You pick them up and follow Jesus. He is the only one offering eternal life.

Do you want to be healed? Your past does not have to define your future. In Christ, your past pain can be a platform for God’s glory.
One of the best ways to DEEPEN your relationship with Jesus is to help others DISCOVER theirs.
God takes what is filthy and does not just make it better; He makes it into a new creation. Have you been made new?
Do you Believe? By believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, you may have life in His name.
You want PEACE? You want true CONTENTMENT regardless of the circumstances? You want a JOY that you can’t lose? Then hear and heed the invitation of Jesus:
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” – Jesus (Matthew 11:28-30)

The theological reality of the gospel is that Jesus’s life, death and resurrection has reconciled you to the Father. The relational reality of the gospel is that the gospel should connect you to the body of Christ. If you are in Christ, you should be a part of His family, the church.
You don’t get peace without grace and you don’t get God the Father without knowing Jesus as Lord.
Religion kills. It’s a trick. It convinces people that they are saved by their good works and self-righteousness.
Money cannot protect your soul, only direct it. Direct your soul to a deeper trust in your Good Father, the Good Shepherd.

Jesus, Immanuel, came to save us from our sin that we would no longer be separated from God our Father.

Jesus is not a philosophy to be followed, an idea to be understood or a religion to be practiced. He is the one true God meant to be experienced. He is more than enough to conquer our fears, reign over our circumstances and hear our cries.

Do you see the gospel as merely practical, or do you see Jesus as beautiful and soul-satisfying? The gospel offers us so much more than a religious belief system that doesn’t end in hell. The gospel offers a beautiful journey of discovering and deepening a relationship with JESUS.

God does not reveal Himself to us so that we can sit and soak it up on the mountain top, but so that we can be sent and serve on mission.
Our enemy, the devil, is the Father of Lies. Do not believe the whispers, but stand on truth of the Word of God. "It is written.."
Jesus did not come to make bad people better or sad people happy. He came to give life to the dead and salvation for sinners.
A mustard seed-size faith in the infinitely powerful, promise-keeping God, is infinitely more powerful than putting all your faith in temporary, promise-breaking idols.
The law is the diagnosis that we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus is the cure.

God’s sovereign purpose for all of creation is to glorify Himself by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as He crushes Satan underneath our feet through the power of the gospel. Amen.
A life well lived is not measured by accumulation or achievement, but by pouring yourself out for the glory of God on the mission of God by the power of God.

Love rules over all rules and regulations. Jesus tells us the greatest commandment is to love God and love people.

A life offered to the Lord as a living sacrifice is a life marked by loving one another. The gospel calls us to treat others as Christ has treated us.
Although we are not saved by the church, we are saved into the church family. The body needs you and you need the body.
To be loved by God is to be given the reward that is obedience to God. We don’t obey to get a reward—though there will be plenty—obedience is the reward.
Until Jesus returns: No matter who you are, what you've done or where you're from, it’s not too late to surrender to Jesus.
Do you hear? Do you understand? Will you surrender and fall into the outstretched arms of your Heavenly Father?
In MERCY, God chooses whoever He wills for the purpose of declaring salvation is in Jesus Christ alone! God sovereignly chooses Israel to show His glory, that through Israel, Jesus Christ would come and make possible that all nations can know God.
God’s love toward us (as demonstrated through the cross and resurrection) is infinitely greater than anything this world can throw at us.
God's love for you is not measured by your circumstances, but by His sovereign grace toward you. To see His love, see the cross.
The enemy says that you are condemned because of what you have done. The Father says that you are alive and free because of what Jesus has done for you.
When you have been SET FREE by the gift of God's GRACE then you are FREE to GRACE others that are still in bondage through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
When Jesus is your Savior, He not only saves your soul from eternal damnation in the next life, but He SETS YOU FREE from the slavery of sin in this life. BE FREE.
You don't have to do the things you used to do because you are not the person that you used to be.
Our sin is like a hereditary disease that affects and infects every one of us. The good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ is that HE is the cure for ANYONE who would believe.
Through the cross and resurrection Jesus has conquered all of our fears. Are you ready to trade in your fears for FAITH in the Risen Savior? The presence of Jesus can calm all of our fears.

What do you do when you find yourself in a seemingly hopeless situation?
You remind yourself every day that your faith is NOT in the temporary circumstances of this world, but your faith is in your Sovereign Savior. Jesus is the only legitimate source of hope.
Following Jesus starts with the first step of FAITH (not works) and is followed by a lifelong journey of one step at a time. What is your next step?
The LAW and FAITH are eternally connected gifts from God. The Law shows us our NEED FOR faith. Faith gives us the ABILITY TO uphold the law. To neglect one is to neglect the fullness of the Gospel.
God is faithful even when we are not. This truth is not a license to sin, but an invitation to serve the sovereign Savior.
Any person or religion that tries to work its way to God will not work. Righteousness (a right standing with God) is a gift of God through the finished work of Christ.
If we find ourselves looking down our noses at others for what they are doing it is only because we have taken our eyes off of the cross of Jesus Christ and what He has done for us.
The only POWER that is able to save you and set you free is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am praying that this year you and I DEEPEN our relationship with Jesus Christ. 14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family[c] in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. The Church of Eleven22 is a movement for all people to Discover and Deepen a relationship with Jesus. - Don’t miss this: Eleven22 is NOT the point, JESUS is the POINT.
The greatest thing in which we can look back on and the greatest thing we can hope towards is the Gospel: the good news that Jesus Christ came to save sinners like you and me for the glory of God.
Christmas is a reminder that the mission of the Spirit of God is to make sure we don’t miss Jesus.
For Christ to be Before All Things in my life: - I know that the purpose of my life is to point to Jesus (John 1:31) - He must increase I must decrease (John 3:30) - At the end of my life I would know HE is my treasure (Hebrews 11:35)
Mary is a picture of what happens when the Spirit of God moves in you: faith, surrender, and worship. 1. Faith is trusting that “nothing is impossible for God.” 2. Surrender says “behold, I am a servant of the Lord.” 3. Worship is our response to God. “My Soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”
Pride is spiritual cancer: it eats up every possibility of love and contentment. Jesus is the cure, He is truly our only hope.
An idol demands sacrifice. - When MONEY is your idol it will SACRIFICE your relationship with God, people, and peace. - When JESUS is Before ALL things in our lives, HE made the sacrifice and we receive a relationship with God, His people, and PEACE.

It is not love to merely meet physical needs and neglect to share the good news of eternal life.
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:7-11
Love accepts because at the cross of Christ God accepted us even when we were unacceptable.
Who is my neighbor? is the wrong question. It limits love. Be neighborly to whomever God puts in your path.
In a GOSPEL AWAKENING the Holy Spirit: 1. Initiates revival 2. Glorifies JESUS (not the participants) 3. Draws people to surrender their lives to JESUS.
Holiness is not a hindrance to our freedom, but true freedom is only found in being a slave to God.
Revival will only come when we desire God with all of our heart, pray to God with all of our might, and live for God with all of our lives.
One of the purposes of pain (and Psalm 42) is to ween us off the insecurity of hope in our circumstances and cleave us to our Sovereign Savior’s.
Don't be conformed to the pattern of this world. Do not fall into the trap by letting this world tell you who to be…but be transformed by the renewing of your mind; be the woman God created you to be.
Don’t make Eve’s mistake and let the serpent rob you of joy because of promises of bigger and better things outside God’s will.

Jesus is our perfect Redeemer. - Jesus has the right to redeem: He became our “kinsman” by becoming a man. - Jesus has the resources to redeem: He lived a perfect life and died in our place. - Jesus has the resolve to redeem: He loves us and was willing to pay the price for His glory.
Spend less time looking and MUCH more time becoming. Instead of looking for someone to “complete you”, look to complete the mission that God created you for.
Are you grateful or entitled? You cannot simultaneously look up at what Christ did for you on the cross and look down on your current situation.
Sometimes we suffer pain because of us, sometimes because of the enemy, but always under the sovereign hand of God…but God is always good. He always has a purpose and a promise.
A small amount of faith in an infinitely powerful God is infinitely more powerful than enormous faith in a powerless “god”.
Don’t waste your life. Don’t waste your time, your talents, your treasure...but use all the treasures that God has given you to treasure Christ before all things.
Have you been flirting with Jesus on your own terms? Are you ready to follow Jesus on His terms?
God did not give you all that you have so you could have all you want, but so others could have all that they NEED.
Give glory to God; your joy depends on it. No one can give you what God has not and no one can keep you from what God has for you.
Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it’s not even thinking of yourself less. Humility is thinking more and more and more about the glorious nature of Jesus until we forget to even think of ourselves at all.
Prayer is about who you are praying to not just what and how you are praying. When we RIGHTLY see God for who He is, then we will rightly respond in desperate, persistent, humble prayer.
To be rich toward God is to GLORIFY GOD by leveraging your temporary RICHES for the building of God’s eternal Kingdom, not your temporary kingdom.
Forgiveness is the willful decision to cancel someone’s debt against you because at the cross Jesus canceled your debt.
It is the condition of the soil, not merely the delivery of the seed, that determines growth.
When Jesus says “follow me,” He isn’t offering a second chance at life. He is offering a NEW LIFE… HIS LIFE.
When Jesus is before all things, the RESCUED will stop at nothing to tell the world about the RESCUER. When we are in Christ His mission is our mission and His mission is: For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. Luke 19:10 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him ca stone? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:7-11
Of all the parents in the entire world, God chose YOU to raise your kids. Are you raising God worshiping missionaries or culturally compliant citizens.
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children[a] of one's youth. Psalm 127
Your marriage is not about YOU. It’s all about declaring that Christ is BEFORE ALL THINGS.
Therefore, in Christ: Wives, your job is to make your husband feel like the man. Husbands, your job is to make your wife feel like the most valuable thing in your world.
Is Jesus before all things in your marriage? If not, what are you going to do about it?
A heart infected with the Gospel has 2 primary symptoms: Loving God and Loving people - “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” – Jesus (Matthew 22:37-40)

Religion says my activity earns a right standing before God. The gospel says Jesus' activity earns a relationship with God.

Man-made religion is our attempt to make our way to a god up there somewhere through our own efforts. The Gospel is that God came down to rescue us.

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4
Jesus is both the most active voice on Hell in the Bible and the saving voice saying, “surrender and follow me, for I have come to save.” The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. Revelation 22:17
The reality of Hell should: 1. Stir us with passion to worship the King of Heaven 2. Strengthen the urgency of eternity in our witness of the salvation of Jesus 3. Sober us to the reality of the kingdom of self and its consequences
When we pray “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” we are not merely praying “God make our lives better” we are saying “God rule and reign here. God have your way with us because your way IS better.”
Passivity is holding back your strength for self preservation.
Aggression is expressing your strength for self gratification.
Love is leveraging your strength for others through self sacrifice.

As followers of Jesus, our lives are subject to a greater authority. We live our lives under the rule of Jesus. We do what he says. We see the world through his view. The way we know what he says and the way we see his view is through the Bible.
The Point: Apart from JESUS our lives, our families, and our country will fall APART.

When our Lord and Master Jesus Christ said “Repent,” he intended that the entire life of believers should be repentance. – Martin Luther
Religion is as dangerous as irreligion because both neglect the proper treatment of God’s Word and thus neglect the relationship offered by Jesus to us.
The whole Bible points to a relationship with Jesus, not religious activity. RELIGION IS ROOTED IN MAN’S ATTEMPTED EFFORT TO REACH GOD. Relationship is rooted in God’s accomplished effort to redeem man.
If you are not ROOTED in the finished work of Jesus Christ, then you will surely be UPROOTED by the schemes of the enemy: the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life.
“For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:16-17
The Church (and this world) needs men and women who are obedient to the call of God in their lives. Is it time for you to get off of the sidelines and get into the game?

In His MERCY God created refuge for ALL PEOPLE before we even knew we needed it. In His GRACE God provided the salvation we could never achieve on our own. God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Jesus came to knock down all of the roadblocks for us to come to know God. The Church’s job is to knock down all the roadblocks for others to meet Jesus.

The Good News of Christmas is that Jesus came on a rescue mission for ALL people. THAT INCLUDES YOU.

The reason to put your HOPE in Jesus is because HE is full of GRACE and TRUTH: The TRUTH to change your life and the GRACE to sustain your life.

And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. Christmas is not about a helpless baby accidentally born in a stable. Christmas is about the majesty of the fully divine humbling Himself to come and rescue that which is His!
Jesus says that we will continue the work that He started and even do greater things. What has He called YOU to do? Have no fear, but step out in faith.

As we understand the depths of our own depravity in light of the height of God’s love and mercy toward us it SHOULD stir a deep sense of worship.

The Almighty, Ever-Present, All-Knowing, Never-Changing God of the Universe wants YOU to Discover and Deepen a Relationship with Him through Jesus. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!! Prayer is not about information. It is about intimacy with the Father. Prayer is the means by which our Sovereign God accomplishes “on Earth as it is in Heaven”.

The opposite of Faith is FEAR (not doubt). Fear paralyzes. Faith produces. Without Faith it is impossible to please God.
17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[b] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Complaining is rooted in putting our hope in ever changing circumstances. Contentment is found in putting our hope in the never changing Christ.
There is one certainty for all humanity. We each will have to atone for the guilt of our sins. Each of us has two options; either we self-atone or we surrender to Christ’s atoning work on the cross.
The Point: Get off of the merry go round of normality and LIVE the Life that Jesus has for you.

Big Idea: Victory does not start with bold actions or rigorous obedience but with intimate faith in Jesus Christ. We overcome the world because He overcame the world!
Love is revealed in Freedom and Forgiveness while FEAR is rooted in control and condemnation. Perfect Love (Jesus) casts out fear.
Final Thought: And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. 24 And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep. 25 And they went and woke him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.” 26 And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. Final Thought: “I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic—on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg—or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. You can make excuses or make a difference. Excuses are rooted in fear because they focus on your shortcomings. Making a difference is rooted faith because it focuses on God’s faithfulness.
Sovereign God orchestrates the details of our lives for His glory. He uses both pain and provision to accomplish His plans. He’s still got the whole world in His hands.

From a heavenly perspective Jesus isn’t simply a cuddly little baby born into a silent night, but God’s Almighty Son sent behind enemy lines on a rescue mission.
