The WoodBridge Church is a church plant in Ranger, Texas. At The WoodBridge Church, we believe that God is going to do something great in Ranger. We also believe that if Jesus came to give us a full life, we should be happy about it. As a result, you will find welcoming people who are excited to see you.
In this Father's Day sermon, Dusty discusses the importance of fathers passing on their faith and values to their children. He uses the book of Judges to illustrate the consequences of a generation failing to teach their children about God. He encourages fathers to be intentional in their parenting, to model their faith, and to create spiritual rhythms in their homes.

Jesus went willingly to the cross because his heart was for God’s glory and your salvation. If we don’t take care of our heart, we will be wrong even when we’re right.
Ever need something but you don’t know what you need? Ever ask yourself what’s the point? We can feel that way from time to time…you’re not alone. Jesus came to give us a different way to deal with it.
It’s important for each of us to share our testimony. What was your life like before Christ, what led you to that decision, and what is your life like after accepting Christ?
We serve a great God…the creator of the universe who does mighty things. He is in control and he cares about you and what you’re going through.
God has so much for us…He wants full custody, not just weekend visits. A half-given life will exhaust you. God has the power…we have to have the obedience.
What is growing in you, that if you don’t deal with it, will be born, grow, and eventually be the death of you? When you admit you’re not strong enough, that’ll be the strongest you’ve ever been.
Once you figure out you have a weak spot, you can fix the problem. Our weak spots show us that we're imperfect and that we need a perfect Savior.
If you’re following Jesus you have a target on your back. Don’t be afraid of failure. God will keep equipping you when you fail and he will keep you going when you experience trials. We value time, money, and relationships. The world sees these three things as the end goal. We should use these three things as a currency for eternity…The crown is the endgame.
Life can get difficult, it takes practice. We have to exercise spiritually the same as we exercise physically. Meditating on God’s Word is a tool we can use to regain focus when life gets tough.
We’ve all found ourselves in places we shouldn’t be. If you go to battle everyday with your own willpower, you’ll lose. We have to confess when we slip up and repent. You don’t have any sins that can’t be erased. God has cleansing for you.
Have you ever been stuck in a hard decision but you don’t hang around long enough to hear from God? Struggles are real…we need to be willing to wait on God. If God is calling you to do something and you run from it, you won’t find peace. The blessings from God come when we stick it out. Being obedient to God may come with intensity, but we have to hold the journey above the destination.
Sometimes we are unaware of what God is doing until we get closer to God to see them. Satan wants you distracted and not connected with God. The Holy Spirit was left for a comforter for us. He will make you aware…but not if you neglect meeting with God.
God cares about our hearts and where we put our hope. Money is a tool that can be used to honor God. Are you doing a good job managing what the Lord has given you? Everything we have is a gift from Him.
You are no accident. You are where you are for a reason and a purpose. We have to fulfill what God has put us here to do. We can’t measure success the way the world measures success…if we do, we end up wasting our talents.
If you come for healing and not a relationship…you miss Jesus. Our relationship with Jesus needs to be about what He wants, not what we want Him to do.
We have ideas about who God is…but God might not be that. We hold on to the teachings we want to be true. When we hear something we want to be true, we sometimes don’t go to the Word to see if it’s actually true or not out of fear that God may not be like that. It’s ti me to choose if Jesus is the Messiah or not. It’s time to come home.
Happiness shouldn’t be our metric for success in our lives…Contentment is a better metric to use.
Do the things you should do, to become the person you should be. We worship a consistent God…don’t let your worry be louder than your worship.
We want blessings from God but sometimes we’re not willing to get rid of the sin that’s standing in the way.
Christian counselor Gina Martin shares some tips we can use in our lives to slow down our pace when we seem to be busy and overwhelmed.
- De-clutter your life…look at your strengths
- Examine your routines
- Meditate
- Pray
God wants to use you for something great…he has work to do and wants to use you to do it. The first step is to tear down the idols standing in the way.
If God seems far away, it’s because we’re the ones who have moved. Take 10 minutes today and humble yourself and meet with God. God wants to use you for his glory.
God knows you better than you know yourself. We mask ourselves so that we can avoid pain…it’s when we sit in the pain that we know ourselves.
You have a purpose…you’re not a mistake. God will not only forgive your sins, but he will use you for his glory. When you fall down, get up and choose to continue to follow Jesus.
If you want to become who you were called to be…you have to make time everyday to be still and meet with the Lord. When we stay plugged into the tree, we produce kingdom fruit.
This week we take a look at the parable of the sower in the book of Mark. It’s easy to live to the world’s standards but we’re called to live to a higher standard. There are things that we need to dig up within us so the seeds can take root.
What you think if your strength is actually your weakness. There are spiritual gains for you to get. Remember…
- You are stronger with help.
- God fights battles through his people.
- Take a stand.
- The Holy Spirit is with us.
- You need wise counsel.
- You need a foundation stronger than yourself.
Remain with God…The Christian who chooses to follow God will get to experience great things. You are made to produce fruit.
Allow God to use you from where you are. All he needs is a willing vessel. 9 things you can do today to be used by God:
- Bring people to church
- Love on people
- Meet needs
- Pray
- Encourage
- Look different than the world
- Give your testimony
- Serve in the church
- Have people in your home
God wants all of you to take all of him. God knows better than we know, allow God to be in the driver’s seat.
God is recreating something in you…something that he took away in Babylon. Build God’s kingdom instead of building for ourselves. The Holy Spirit will enable you to do great things. Allow Jesus to be your cornerstone. If we work together for the kingdom, nothing will be impossible. Heaven is our goal.
This week we talk about our next tree choice in the story of Abraham and Isaac. Someone has to pay for our sin. We cannot pay for our own sin. Jesus took our place.
When you gain knowledge & understanding of the Bible, you gain more understanding of your life. We look at our next tree choice in the story of Noah and his family. There was only one way into the ark for salvation…there is only one way for salvation through Jesus. Choose the tree of life.

God has some things he wants to pour out into you. Empty yourself so you can be filled…Allow God to fill you instead of allowing the world to fill you.
What can you do to be part of God’s mission? If you want to be used effectively by God, ask yourself these questions:
- What are the things that steal your time from serving?
- How are you using your gifts and skills for the kingdom?
- Are you focusing on Heavenly treasure or Earthly treasure?
It’s important that you’re different. We’re given gifts for the advancement of the kingdom. Christ is the head of the body…we are all part of the same body with a different function. Encourage one another…don’t tear one another down. We all have different gifts to get the job done. You are the tool to get the job done.
We all struggle, but there’s hope. You’re not alone. Is your life leading you to Jesus or leading you away from Jesus? Change your cycle…Change your desire…Change your environment.
At times we try to live as close as we can to this world…Jesus frees us from the traps that snare us. Ask yourself what you can achieve rather than what you can get away with. Is what you’re doing taking you farther from God or closer to God?
You are his…Use what you’ve been given to glorify God. Allow God’s forgiveness to motivate you to live for him. Play the cards in your hand and God will bless you with more cards.
Don’t get distracted from what God has called you to do. Don’t be divided…build one another up. Allow Jesus to be your cornerstone.
Trying to fill voids with anything other than Jesus will never be enough. Satan tries to offer peaceful slavery through sin…but Christ came to set you free.
You can’t inherit someone’s beliefs…you have to experience it for yourself. Have a faith you can defend. Misinformation if running rampant. Don’t settle for a TikTok version of the Bible. Dive in and be fed spiritually.
We’ve all been betrayed…and we’ve probably betrayed someone else. Does it consume you or are you able to forgive? The teachings of Jesus are good.
When you’re pressed…what’s going to come out? Does Jesus get you out of trouble or does he go with you through trouble?

There is a newness of life available for Christians…if you’ve never walked with the Lord before, you’ve never experienced that newness of life. Pick up your mat and walk.
There is a general will of God we’re all supposed to follow. If you do, you will see miracles…you will see provisions.
Everyone needs salvation…Don’t let religion become your hindrance. It doesn’t matter who you are, God can use you. Stick to the peaceful teachings of Jesus.
There is gold in the scripture. As you begin to read through the scripture, the Holy Spirit will reveal things in you. Dig through the scripture...get your hands dirty.
Give God 100% of yourself and humble yourself and see what he does in you. Let the Holy Spirit do work in you.
This week we take a look at the story of when Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness.
It’s common for Christians to go through trials after starting to follow God. What you’re going through now may be necessary for what you’re going to go through later.
The work you do here on earth will be put through the fire…God wants your heart, He wants to repurpose you and use you for His glory.
Given enough time, man will fail. Baptism is a new beginning…your past doesn’t define you. Reposition yourself where God can use you. Choose God rather than the world. Christ is calling you out of the world into something new.
Jesus is the bread of life. He will nourish you, he will sustain you...but you have to take the bread.
What would you trade for the truth? What’s more important…God’s kingdom or a worldly kingdom? These wise men left everything and gave everything for the truth.
You are here for a reason. Jesus is our purpose. We have to love God, love people, and show them Jesus. You’re the most important person in someone’s life…He has a work for you to do.
Seeds that you intend to plant and what you actually plant are two different things. This week we take a look at Matthew 13.
We all have people in our lives that need to be restored. We’re called to build them back to a point of faith. But before we can do that, we ourselves have to be plugged into the source of strength. If you want to make a difference in this world, get closer to God and you’ll have strength for what is to come.

Do you find yourself jumping from sin to sin? You have been set free. Receiving that freedom is the first step…then you have to pray, read your Bible, go to church, and be the church. Good works aren’t how you get saved, it’s how you know you are saved.

What are the things in your life that are coming in between your relationship with Jesus? Some of these things might not necessarily be bad things, but they can still take away from our time with Jesus.
There's a lot of hurting out there right now. Have you tried Jesus? Remember...when you aren't feeling it, it may be when you need him the most. Let the Holy Spirit transform you into the person you were created to be.
This week we talk about how a person gets saved and the next steps you take. This is a great message for everyone.
Our brokenness separates us from God, that’s why we need Jesus. The Holy Spirit won’t take you out of the fire, but through the fire. Life is hard, but God is good.
If you go to the doctor, the first thing you have to do is admit that you’re sick. The next thing you have to do is listen to what the doctor has to say. Then…you have to follow the doctor’s orders. Jesus is the Great Physician, you can’t go through life alone. Go to him, listen to what he has to say, and follow what he has to say.
We all have idols in or lives…anything that we put before God. Before we can fully worship God, we have to tear down these other idols in or lives. We need a savior. Jesus took the cross, what was once a symbol of death, and turned it into a symbol of life and redemption.
Jesus’ last standing orders to the apostles was to make disciples and spread the gospel to all nations. So if you’ve ever wanted to know your purpose in life…it’s to save, heal, deliver, and disciple.
Step into something bigger than yourself and see God move. There are principles in the Bible that are for everyone…but certain experiences are for you personally. Jesus wants a personal relationship with you.
Continuing our study on the last week of Jesus’ life…we take a look at some of the prophecies of Jesus and the events that happened on the cross.
Your experiences got you where you are today…but God gives you strength to get through whatever you’re going through.

You are someone who God desires…he has provided redemption for you. And if you’ll receive it, he will help you walk in it. And he will free you from the things that you hate.
Will you wait on God? God is not slow to fulfill his promises. Don’t take matters into your own hands when God has made you a promise.
We were honored to have Christian counselor Melissa Wilson join us this week as our special guest. Depression affects more than 264 million people worldwide and 30% of Americans have symptoms of depression and/or anxiety…Melissa shares some helpful tips on how to help with that depression.
It’s ok if you don’t have all the answers…If God answered all our prayers with ‘yes’, it would take away our need and faith in Him. If you never go through hard times, you will never mature.
