Starting Over: When the Music Calls You Back: Folk singer and guitar player Rod Abernethy has been performing in the Carolinas for more than three decades, playing both 6 and 12-string acoustic guitar. Rod's original songs revolve around family, friends and places in North Carolina. His hauntingly beautiful guitar instrumentals are in the styles of some of his favorite guitar players like Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, and Chet Atkins.
Rod has a strong history in the southern rock music scene, reaching back to his days as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter in well-known North Carolina bands including Arrogance, which was signed to several labels, including Warner Brothers. Defeating Depression Through Music. JJ McGuigan is a songwriter/guitarist who is using his music and his story to help others heal. In addition to crafting heart-felt and sometimes edgy tunes, JJ is an advocate for mental health awareness. Hafizullah
Hafizullah's name was given to him 40 years ago by his teacher. Since then he has walked, stumbled, crawled, and danced “the Way of the Sufi”. In the process, he became a Sufi healer, lineage-holder, and senior teacher, and received the Sufi equivalent of “dharma transmission” in 2001. He has a special interest in the interface between psychology and spirituality, and though spiritually-mentored by the Sufis, he has little interest in distinctions of religion and path, theism and atheism, and he keeps his teaching “real,” practical, and free of dogma.

Reinventing the game: A new way to boost your music sales. Taylor Mesple is a singer, songwriter, and world-class instrumentalist, as well as a sought-after producer and engineer and now sells his music in a unique way. He got his start in the music business at age 13, playing in the contemeporary jazz group Wind Machine.
Wind Machine was signed to Silver Wave Records and blocked out months at a time in the premier recording studio in Colorado. During this time Taylor began sideman work for countless other bands and artists as well. By 18, he was opening for artists like Bruce Hornsby, Ray Charles and Shawn Colvin.
