This is an excerpt from a live mix I did at the Flat for the Soular Grooves Happy Hour in January. I had some technical difficulties during the recording so there will be a slight static noise with a few tracks. It was a live set so the show had to carry on! Enjoy!

I created this mix to help me cope with the passing of my friend and teacher “Cacho”. Cymatics is the study of visible sound vibration. For me these songs help me visualize my friend's spirit ascending throughout the multiverse unhindered and free. This Mix is dedicated to his memory and to everyone who has ever lost a friend or loved one. This mix was recorded live on Soular Grooves on June 15, 2013. You’ll have to excuse the sound quality. My recorder had a glitch so I had to use the station’s mp3 file. Thanks for your support, please share and enjoy!
Always Forward, DelSur

Merry New Year to everyone, One of the key things I enjoy about DJ'ing is the ability to weave between different styles of music. This mix is titled "Fierce" because I wanted to be more bold with my musical selection. We all know that there's an element of courage involved with any new task we take on; and it is the same in the creative realm as it is in the material one. Having said that, listen with an open mind... Peace, Delsur
Happy Holidays! Well your boy Delsur is back with a new mix. Work(DJ'ing) has been picking up so I've had more opportunities to record live while in the mix. Soular Grooves is going great. Be sure to check out what our fearless leader, DJ Sun, is up to in the run up to his release "One Hundred".http://soulargrooves.com/ Stay Frosty, Delsur
Hey there. Welcome to the newest edition of Atlantean Beats. This mix was intended to be released on or around Valentine’s Day( as you can tell from the first few tracks). You’ll have to forgive my tardiness. In other music related news, the radio show (Soular Grooves) is going great. The highlight of my season was meeting DJ Spinna who stopped by the show before a gig a few weeks back. Anyways enjoy and share this mix with everyone you know; Delsur appreciates you! Peace, Delsur
Greetings to all. My apologies for not posting anything sooner. The Semester proved to be much harder than I anticipated and left me with little time to devote to music. The only worthy music news is that I’m now apart of the Soular Grooves radio crew. It’s a weekly radio show on Kpft devoted to a lot of the genres of music that I mix. Hip-Hop, Downtempo, House, Electronica. Click on the link and give it a listen. www.soulargrooves.com . This month’s mix is the first live mix I did on the air a few weeks back. I will try and post another mix in the next two months, it’s my last semester of grad school so I may be a little busy lol.Enjoy and share! peace, Delsur
My Good Peoples, I worked really hard on this mix both technically and with song selection. On a personal note I’m about to start my final two semesters of Grad School. As a result I will have to cut back on my podcast. From now until I graduate, I will post a new episode every two months. My next mix will be in October. So until then enjoy, share, celebrate, and add these beats to the soundtrack of your lives. See you in October.
Always Froward, Delsur

Greetings to all. It has been a VERY busy summer. So far I've acted in a short film, traveled to El Paso for a ceremony, and I've recently been working at a summer camp for kids teaching art. I'm also currently in the process of moving. This month's album cover is a picture of all my records in the bed of my truck. My turntables and lp's have been packed and put away for a week so far...and they've been missed! Next month I'll be back with a new mix. Until then enjoy all that "Self Reflexive" has to offer. Peace, Delsur
ps: Sorry I don't have a playlist this month. I don't recall all of the names and titles of the songs. This is an older mix and all of my records are in storage at the moment. If you need the playlist write a comment so i can send it to you after the move.
Doing things a little different this month. The music selection is more of the uptempo/house genre. Not to worry, I’ll be returning to my downtempo roots next month. Given the current world events, I felt compelled to put this mix together as a response. The truth is that the times have always been hard. From antiquity to the present, people of all nationalities and cultures have had to cope. This mix is my creative way of coping with it all. Peace, Delsur
Delsur here. You may have noticed the name change for the show. I wanted something to reflect the creative state of mind these songs emanate from. Atlantis is said to have been a place of technology and the arts. Hence the title "Atlantean Beats". This month's mix is something i put together for a group art show called "Serie". The show was an exhibition of serigraphs from local artists under the guidance of master printmaker Sam Coronado. http://www.coronadostudio.com/portfolio_interface.html Since there was a latin theme to the prints, i dug deep into my record collection to find the right sounds to set the mood. Enjoy!
This month's mix was a set i did for an art opening for Phi Phi Oanh(www.phiphioanh.com). The theme of the art show was based on black boxes the artist created. Phi Phi constructed these boxes using the traditional vietnamese method of bamboo and lacquer. Her paintings on the boxes depicted scenes from her childhood in Vietnam. Finding music that complimented the work was a challenge. I needed something calm, nostalgic, and steadily upbeat. This mix is the result. Enjoy 1. Bjork "All is full of love" 2. GB-Soundtrack for Sunrise "Simply So" 3. Dj Krush-Zen"Song 1" 4. Charlie Bird & Stan Getz "Bahia" 5. Bobby Mcferrin "A night in Tunisia" 6. Shawn Lee "Happiness" 7. This months episode is a trip hop tribute. The dark rift is cluster of clouds of the milky way galaxy 300 light years from earth. Enjoy! 1. junkwaffle "mudskipper"(portishead produced) 2. cannibal ox "iron galaxy" 3. dirty fingaz "crime scene" 4. prince paul " prince paul vs. the world" 5. automator "strangers on a train" 6. kool keith "bamboozled" 7. jazzanova "coffee talk"(dj krush remix) 8. This mix is an amalgamation of hip hop and 80's r&b. I first played it at a boy-cott magazine event in the summer of 2007. I dressed up as my halloween character "lil juan" for the party. It was the last time i dj'ed an event in costume. I've since retired the character but every once in awhile someone asks me about him. It's good to know that my character made an impression on some folks. If you like Dead Prez,Outkast,Isley Brothers, Grover Washington jr., Roots, and Patrice Rushen then you'll like this mix.peace
This is a HipHop mix i made in 2007. It was for a show called "Halloween Havoc". I met Jeru Da Damaja there. He helped me solve some sound problems with the venue's mixer and turntable so i could play. I dressed up as "lil juan" who is basically the mexican version of lil' jon. The costume consisted of a wig, cruz azul jersey and hat, sunglasses, oversized shirt, foil on my teeth, and a 2 liter bottle of jarritos. Good times.
