I am discussing the plans for my vodcast in the second season. Plus a discussion about obedience and submission with the main example coming from Daniel 3:13-29.
Another hotel, this time in Erfurt. It was so huge, I just had to show it to you. Also, I will be in Haiti June 14 - July 3, 2009, see Ep. 15 and 16 from last year.
This time I traveled to Amsterdam to visit my friend Matt Lunders. He is one of the leaders of masters commission there. When I talked to the leaders and students at their chapel service, I also asked them about their vision.
I was on another business trip, north of Hamburg. Again, I show a view of the hotel room, and I talk about our performance vs. promises we make. Matt 21:28-31, James 1:22
Last week I was on a business trip to Munich. I am showing you my hotel room, and I mention a name for a small group Bible study that someone used.
Recently I heard a joke involving the squeezing of oranges, symbolizing squeezing money from people. This made me comment with a few thoughts on tithes and offerings.
How do leaders react when God pronounces judgment? We will look at Moses (Exodus 32:7-12), Abraham (Genesis 18:16-32) and David (1 Sam 24:3-7, 1 Sam 26:6-12). It seems that when God pronounces judgment, He is looking for leaders, and He might not determine our destiny but instead test our hearts.
Why does God want to be worshiped? One thought to answer this question deals with the topic of relationship. Another thought states that even atheists worship something.
This is a rather unique and special episode. 1.) It's only audio. 2.) It's in German. 3.) It's rather long. 4.) It is a message I gave to 'Students for Christ' in Cologne at a small-group setting. 5.) It was taped with the internal mic of my Macbook from about six feet away.
Matt Lunders and I met up in Maastricht, Netherlands. Here is what he had to say on what he is doing right now. We enjoyed Maastricht, although or because it is a little surreal.
In this episode, I am talking about the presence of people and the presence of God. Job 2:11-13, Matt 28:20b
Today I am discussing that there is unity among Christians, if there is a real relationship with Christ. However, not everyone who calls himself or herself a Christian is one, and I look at this question a little bit.
This episode was delayed and is partially retaped... I'm stuck in Germany, some people are seriously sick, and many Christians died suddenly recently. Undoubtedly, God is still in charge, He has a plan, and He will use everything for good. I don't have an answer to the question 'Why?', but God gives His answer in Job 38:1 - Job 40:2.
This is a report of the awesome things God did in Haiti on my eighth trip. Praise God! This vodcast is fairly long and includes many pictures.
Between June 24 and July 11, I will be on my eighth Haiti missions trip. I am showing Haiti to you with an old video from January 2003.
This week I was on a business trip to Spittal, Austria. I am sending my greetings from there, show pictures, and share my thoughts about the spiritual state in Austria as well as the beauty of the area.
Josh Neustrom was visiting me in Germany this week. This is a short little interview about how we know each other and what his plans are.
This time I just present my random thoughts on a) the burden we feel when we hear about a project that should be supported, b) the call we receive on our life. Simply the first thoughts that came to my mind on these topics.
This episode features some random thoughts on the topic of time, touching time travel, the existence of time, causality, the big bang, God being beyond time, and eternity. (Ecc 3:11)
Today I am discussing the book of Esther. I am looking at the fact, that at the time that the coincidences happen, it is unclear how they will make sense in the future.
Does the sun revolve around the earth, or the earth around the sun? Most people believe the latter statement to be the only correct statement. But the correct scientific point of view is: Both are wrong and both are correct. Let's investigate together, how this can be.
Many times people tried to lead Jesus into a trap. How did he react? Typically with a (sometimes implied) question and some kind of command. I look at what we can learn from that, how to apply it ourselves, and why it is important. (Mark 12:13-17, John 8:6-7)
This time I am investigating the statement 'The earth is flat'. The Bible doesn't teach it, the early Church fathers didn't believe it. What was the true issue for Christopher Columbus? All this is discussed in this episode.
This is the second part discussing faith and works. What does justification mean? Why are Christians working on sanctification? James 2:14-18. (This is part 2 of a 2-part series).
Today I am discussing faith and works. When is works important in Christianity and other religions? What about faith in Christianity? Gen 15:6, Rom 10:9-10. (This is part 1 of a 2-part series.)
This time I am discussing if 'All is relative' is an actual scientific statement and how science relates to absolute truth.
In this vodcast I discuss the question why Paul requests a parade when he leaves Philippi. Some thoughts on Acts 16:19-39
In this first episode of 'Musings of a German Physicist and Missionary' I share two thoughts on prayer that were triggered by Eli Manning's and David Tyree's excellent Superbowl play.
