This podcast focuses locally on Fairchild Air Force Base. We get to know people from around the base and their keys to being successful as well as understanding what all the base has to offer its members.
It's a little late but when you listen to the podcast you'll understand why it took so long to get the "go ahead" to release this episode.
I got to spend some time with Capt Toner, MSgt Lee, and MSgt Rosa Castillo while they were here for Skyfest 2022. They gave us in inside scoop on what traveling to a show is like and time on the ground at their locations. They also shared what time at home is like between shows.
Hopefully we'll get to see some of them next time they're in town.
Listen in as we spend a few minutes with Col Cassius Bentley and Chief Daniel Guzman before they hand over the guide on to our new Command Team. This one took a bit of an awkward turn at the end, but nonetheless we are grateful for all the empowerment and ownership they allowed us to create!

Listen in as I get my first foreign guests! I got to sit and talk with Lt Louise Dixon, Lt Saoirse O'Reilly, Lt Zara Bolger, and Pvt Shannon Thomas during their visit here for the Armed Forces Women's World Cup.
This was their country's first time playing in this tournament. We got to talk about quite a few firsts as well as get to know them a bit better.
Sad to see them leave, but so glad they were able to play in this tournament! Slainte!
Listen in as we spend some time with Command Chief of the 7th Bomber Wing, CMSgt Matt Coltrin. Chief spent two days with us during our Key Enlisted Development Seminar. One of the hardest things to do is look for the good when it's so easy to see the negative. Chief gives us some perspective on how he maintains a positive demeanor and also explains his "why."
Listen in as we got an awesome experience to sit down and talk with T.Wrecks from the UFC! For those who aren't as MMA savvy, McKinney is a local here in Spokane. He shares some of his life experiences and how he found his calling with the UFC! Thanks to TSgt Erick Cruz for also helping with this episode!!

Listen in as we get the unique opportunity to speak with Coach, Col Derrick Weyand and Coach, Lt Col Jeremiah Kirschman about the International Military Sports Council (French translation spells out CISM).
CISM is the second largest sporting event in the world, only to be surpassed by the Olympics!
Coach Weyand gives us some insight on the Women's National Team. Coach Kirschman is the director of the tournament here at Fairchild. This will most likely be a once in a lifetime event for Team Fairchild and our Spokane Community. Make sure you check out Union Stadium up in Mead 11-22 July as Team USA takes on 9 other countries (Ireland, Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Mali, Cameroon, S. Korea, and Canada)!

This club focuses on creating a safe and for LGBTQ+ Airmen and learning environment for Allies. We also shared experiences with Don't Ask Don't Tell and it being repealed a decade ago.

ALA is designed to be the "anti PME" as far as setting goes. It's a chance for NCOs from around the base to get together and talk about things and just get to know each other.
Listen in as we get to know Air Mobility Command, Command First Sergeant, Chief Kiera Daniels. An aerospace ground equipment troop by trade, she also had a few other tricks up her sleeve, as well as traveled to many different bases around the world.

Our Command Team knows there is still more work to do before they hand over Command this summer. They're here to share some short and long term goals as well. It's really easy to follow along to a checklist and make sure we pack all of the items on that list, BUT sometimes there are extra items we really wished we'd thought about bringing with us. There are also a few processes we sometimes forget about taking care of before we leave, like telling our credit card/debit card company we will be using our card outside of our local area...nothing like a giant DECLINED message when you're trying to grab a quick bite to eat during a short layover.
