Since his teens, Cobeia's been an avid listener collecting music mostly on Vinyl as well as CDs, Digital, MDs & Tapes. Growing up in a multicultural family & environment in Geneva, he lived in London from 96 to 99 before regular stays in Berlin in the 00's. Since 2001 he's been a DJ, a cultural actor and promoter. Among other journeys, he traveled extensively throughout Eastern Europe, North & East Africa and Southeast Asia, further expanding his music appreciation.

EAV started as an outdoor summer series with great music in parks & by lakes/riversides + indoor parties. Nowadays events with concerts & DJs take also place throughout the year.
2009 - 2015, EAV put up parties at Motel Campo club with top-tier international & local guests.

2001 - 06: Cobeia ran with a collective the wonderful alternative art space "DUPLEX" in Geneva, where he booked electronic & folk rock live acts: SO (Oval), Hermann Düne, Juile Doiron, Goodiepal, Planningtorock... & djs of various genres.
During the 2010s, he also did the "JUKEBOX" parties and concerts in many venues like Motel Campo. Among others he booked: Andrew Weatherall, Mr. Ties (Homopatik), Boris (Berghain), Tevo Howard, Kode9, Dj/Rupture, The Bug, Shadetek, Volcano the Bear, Colleen, Co La, Glass Candy, Desire, Chromatics...

I have been invited by Pochette Surprise to make a mix for their broadcast on FM "Radio Meuh" in France.

When approached I was asked to do some kind of Groove mix. That week I was listening to jazz at home + Ninja Tune & Mo' Wax records of the late 90's I bought in London. Sure enough this is what came out...

The mix features around 25' of traditional African music building up into various African musics, afro-funk & highlife, mostly from 7" from the 50's until today.
Modern part includes Guy One, Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy, Onom Agemo & The Disco Jumpers w/ Ahmed Ag Kaedy, Jimi Tenor, Honny & the Bees Band, Mighty Sparrow, African Brothers Band, K. Frimpong ... from contemporary labels like Philophon, Mr Bongo, Agogo Records...
That was the 2nd time that the great Malian singer was hosted by Ecoutes au vert in Geneva, Switzerland. This time EAV partnered with the new venue La Jonquille after having her play at La Gravière in 2017.

Mix taped with the Zoom's mic at a party, hence the live sound quality and screams! Like the vibe & tracks, so I finally decided to upload it. Better listened through speakers!
It was recorded at an Inner Rhythm Party I organized a few years ago with The Sacred Travelers (live), Awesome Tapes from Africa (US), DJ Fett, Freak Ass E and me djing in Trickster's Keller, one of Berlin's old school places still going today.
Party was a blast, it was packed and we had a hell of a lot of fun!!!
