Jaguar E-type
In this week's episode, I cover the Jaguar E-type, also known as the XK-E in North America. This impressive sports car was first produced in 1961. Not only did the car have impressive performance, utilizing technology developed in 24 hours of Le Man racing, this car also looked amazing, being called "the most beautiful car in the world" by Enzo Ferrari. The car would go through 3 series with the last version being given a V12 engine.

Nissan Pao
In this week's episode, I talk about the Nissan Pao, a very unique car created in 1989. The Pao is a tiny, retro-designed car that is very underpowered, but still has appeal in the fact that there is nothing else out there like it. The Pao was created as a pike car, a series of cars that Nissan created to master small-scale production and retro design. The Pao was only sold in Japan.

In this week's episode, I cover top fuel dragsters, the quickest accelerating cars in the world. These drag cars use V8 engines based on a 1960s Hemi engine. These cars use a supercharger and nitromethane fuel to create an amazing 8,000 hp, (yes, the 3 zeros are correct). With this power these cars have a 0-60 time of 0.8 seconds and can travel 1000 feet in under 4 seconds, top speed is around 330 mph.

Yahama 0X99-11
In this week's episode, I cover the Yahama 0X99-11, an insane road car that was built around an f1 car. The car used an f1 V12 engine, an f1 chassis, and an f1 suspension. Unforuinity the car was going to cost a ton of money and an economic downturn happened right when this car was going to be released. This killed the 0X99-11 project and only 3 prototypes were created.

Turbocharging,
In this episode, I talk about how turbocharging works and the history of this technology. Turbocharging has been around for more than 100 years and used in lots of forms of transportation such as ships, trains, airplanes, and cars. Turbocharging has lots of advantages such as improved power and efficiency but also has downsides such as turbo lag. Turbocharging is pretty common in modern cars to improve efficiency, but throughout history, turbocharging has been used to make power. Examples of big power turbo cars include group B rally cars and formula 1 cars in the 1980s

Niki Lauda
In this epiosde I cover the F1 driver, Niki Lauda. Lauda would win the Formula 1 drivers championship 3 times and be on several successful teams during his career including Ferrari and McLaren. A big part of his driving career centered around a comeback after a crash at the Nurburgring which nearly took his life. Niki would start to race again just 6 weeks after this crash and go on to find even more success.

Ferrari P cars
In this episode, I cover the Ferrari P cars, purpose-built endurance race cars that would dominate the world of endurance racing starting in 1963. This car would go through multiple generations being continually improved. For years these cars were untouchable, this would change in 1966 with the dominant win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Ford, bring home the top 3 positions in the GT40. While the Ferrari P4 would be built to bring victory back to Ferrari, it would fail to do so, losing to Ford again. Ferrari has not won the 24 Hours of Le Mans since their loss in 1966.

Datsun/Nissan Z cars Pt.2
In this episode, I cover the latest generations of the Datsun/Nissan Z cars, starting with the 300ZX all the way to the newly shown off Z Proto. With the first 300ZX, things were looking up in terms of performance, but the car still had a long way to go. By 1990 the Z32 300ZX was out and this car became incredible, utilizing a twin-turbo V6 engine, 4 wheel steering, and many other upgrades. The Z32 would become one of the best sports cars of the time. The 350Z and 370Z both continued the trend of good performance and a good price, the next-generation Z Proto was just shown off and things are looking good again for this latest Z car

Datsun Z Cars
In this episode, I cover the first generations of the Datsun Z cars. The first of these, the 240Z, or Fairlady Z in Japan, was an affordable high-performance car based on the successful rally car, the Datsun 510. Not only did the 240Z offer an amazing driving experience but it was also offerable, costing a little more than the MGB GT. The engine size would increase leading to the 260Z and the 280Z. Unfortunately by the 280ZX generation the car had become a luxury car with a sloppy suspension and had lost its high-performance identity. Luckily a turbocharged version was looking to change that and bring the z car back to its former glory.

Studebaker Avanti
In this episode, I cover the Studebaker Avanti, and non-Studebaker Avanti's as the car outlasted its parent company. Originally designed to save Studebaker in the 1960s, the Avanti would compete with the Ford Thunderbird and the Chevy Corvette. Powered by a Studebaker made V8, this car was not only powerful but lightweight and looked amazing with a unique design that wasn't American, it looked like nothing else on the road. while the car did not manage to save Studebaker, other companies would be created to continue production of the Avanti. Several
of these companies would go bankrupt themselves, but the torch would be passed on and the official end of Avanti production happened in 2006, 40 years after Studebaker closed.

Toyota Supra
In this weeks episode I cover the Toyota Supra, the JDM legend that started as a fairly low key car based off of the Toyota Celica. Originally designed to compete with the Datsun Z cars, the Supra would come into its own by its fourth generation where it would cement itself as a monster street racer with the ability to handle big power from the factory. The newest Supra was released just last year, however this Supra uses a BMW engine and some see this newest generation as not a true Toyota Supra!

In this episode I cover the Hudson Hornet, a car that dominated early stock car racing thanks to its flathead straight six engine, step-down chassis design, and its low slung, aerodynamic body. The Hudson Hornet would take multiple championships but eventually fall behind in sales due to it never being given a V8 and having an older look that could not be easily updated.

Honda NSX
In this episode, I cover the Honda NSX. This Japanese sports car was developed in the late 1980s and was released in 1990. This car would quickly gain a following thanks to its impressive handling, incredible visibility (the car used an F-16 fighter jet as inspiration), its relative cheapness, and its reliability. Despite the NSX never having all that much power, the joy of the NSX comes from its ability to be driven much more than most other cars of this caliber.
Thanks for listening!
Article on NSX worth a read on its own:

Porsche 959
In this episode, I cover the Porsche 959, a problematic car based on the 911 that was designed to compete in group B rallying. While never being able to compete in Group B due to development delays, the 959 still found success in the Dakar Rally and the 24 hours of Le Mans. The 959 also found a place in Porsches heart despite having an extremely slow and painful development process that involved lots of fires, boiling brake fluid, and 1980s computer issues.

Lotus Esprit
In this episode, I cover the Lotus Esprit, A supercar built by Lotus in the 1970s that was designed to change the image of Lotus, from a kit car manufacturer to a supercar builder. Although the Esprit started out fairly underpowered, through the generations this car would start to make big power, eventually using a twin-turbo V8 engine capable of 500 hp. This car was the catalyst for Louts' transformation.

Ford Mustang Pt. 1
In this episode I cover the first generation of the Ford Mustang, focusing on the underground development and lack of official approval for this car. Despite this, the Mustang would find instant success in the new market of young drivers looking for cheap, powerful, and customizable cars. Offering a wide variety of engine options as well as interior design choices, the Mustang would become an instant American staple. However, by the early 1970s, the Mustang had become a large car with even larger engines and was starting to drop in sales. The rest of the Mustang history will be covered in next week's episode, don't miss it!

Chevrolet Corvair
In this episode, I cover the Chevrolet Corvair, a unique car created in 1960 to help meet the growing demand for compact cars. The Corvair broke many of the American car "rules" and was powered by a rear-mounted air-cooled flat 6 engine, the car also looked very European in its design. The Corvair would be produced for almost a decade and would sell very well, but would ultimately be killed by the more American cars of the Mustang and the Camaro.

BMW M1
In this episode, I cover the BMW M1, a sports car developed in the late 1970s through a partnership between BMW and Lamborghini. The project started strong but due to finical issues with Lamborghini, the M1 was soon behind schedule and was never able to recover, killing its racing career before it even started. Today the M1 is considered one of the best cars of all time despite this failure and holds a special place in car enthusiast's hearts.
