I first met Nic at the equipment cage at Denver Open Media. That chance encounter would lead to one of the most fulfilling creative and personal friendships I have made since my return to Denver from New York. Nic has helped on almost every episode of Really Late Night and I had the pleasure in acting in 2 of his films in the past couple of years. I hope you enjoy our talk. Today I am interview actor and filmmaker Tre Butler. We first met on the the Set of Blow It Up, a short film made for the 48 Hour Film Project. I love Tre’s tenacity and his confidence in following his dream. We talk about our love for rap music, acting, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people that support your dreams.

When I was in my 20s I was lucky enough to go on tour and play music with a group of friends. It was also my first attempt at making a documentary. I produced 10 episodes all about 10 minutes each. I will have that playlist in the notes if you want to see what a 24 year old Matt looks like, but I can describe it for the listeners, I look like me but younger.
On episode 7 of the documentary we were in Philly and we couldn't find another band to share a bill with, so I put up a craigslist ad. The person who responded was Iam or better known as 185-66-8232. Iam is a noise artist, performer and my cosmic brother.
