In this episode, I challenge the "small-minded" thinker in my head, who judges others and makes others wrong instead of celebrating our differences and embracing the miracle we live in—a Universe.

God, the Creator, the Goddess, Abraham, Christ, Mohammed PBUH, the Buddha, and Brahma don't think like us. We, humans, reduce the Infinite to our level when we think small-mindedly and believe that little voice in our heads. Our job is to expand our thinking to match the Limitless Creator of this amazing Universe.

Maybe I'm wrong? What do you think?

Gratefully yours,

Steve

In this episode, I interview the Founder of Compassiviste, Ali Horriyat. His vision aligns with expanding small-minded, limited thinking we see all around us today, into limitless, Infinite thinking. More about Ali -

ALI HORRIYAT, Founder of Compassiviste, left the lucrative, profit-driven world of finance in 2016 to devote himself to his vision of a society where compassion, empathy, and social impact are at the heart of our actions. In 2020, he launched Compassiviste to spread this vision and he develops and invents ways we can sustainably produce and consume, in order to make sustainable living a comfort and not a burden. Compassiviste believes that all change begins with creative expression so there is no better way than to amplify the voice of a new appeal and generation than to have dialogues with those inspiring social harmony. Compassiviste aims to expand its tribe and membership to be able to support more charitable causes and interact with our communities to influence global compassion and social harmony. The goal is to secure an activated following willing to engage and donate consistently to effectively promote necessary shifts.

Find a way to be a Compassiviste right where you are. Perhaps drink from glass?

When we learn to embrace conflict and run toward it, we can come to an understanding with others through dialogue. Small-minded thinkers will not understand how to do this because they never want to "give any ground." Limitless thinkers understand that conflict is a natural part of a relationship.

Happy people can be top producers in life because they live from the Inside Out. They choose to be happy and embrace life as a friend. They look for the gift in everything and especially in the challenges or challenging people they meet—people living from the outside look to life for validation of their worth. Titles, possessions, other people's opinions of them, and happy events mean the world to them. I have a clue for you: nothing from the outside has anything to do with your value in life. No title, no achievement can prove your worth because all of those things fade over time, and your brain wants you to move on to the next title, possession, or achievement. Listen in for more on how to live from the decision to be happy no matter what.

My guest, Kimberly Quinn, talks about how to program your mind for success and overcome negative thinking. She talks about how holding a negative thought for more than 17 seconds programs the subconscious to make negative thinking a habit.

Kimberly is the host of the podcast, Mindcraft and the creator of www.mindcraftuniversity.com where she has a course you can take to learn how to program your mind to make positive thinking a habit for $129. That's a great investment if you ask me to become a positive thinker and create amazing results in your life. My guess is that investment would return millions of dollars over a lifetime and create a level of happiness that is priceless.

Don't take my word for it, prove it to yourself.

We are crawling back to our caves when it comes to our small-minded thinking. We can see evidence of it everywhere. We first have to start with ourselves to expect society to model the Infinite Thinking of our Creator. Most people believe their thinking today, which has been the case since caveman days. We are somewhat better today and it seems like as we look at the world, we are headed back to our caves.

Making others wrong because they are different than you for whatever reason? The podcast stretches your thinking into limitless thinking that models what the Creator intended. Is for us to advance from our small-minded thinking and work to become more like the Infinite. We think we think like God, and we are so far off... as far off as the Incas or the Aztecs when they sacrificed princesses and babies to appease God. I had an NDE that gave me new, expanded thinking, and if we all had a peak at what's next, we wouldn't be so petty. Don't take my word for it, you can prove this idea that you can have an amazing experience of life by expanding your thinking... try it and see.

There is "no thing", no event in life that isn't designed to wake you up. It's our hubris and egoic thinking that keep us from seeing what is in plain sight, the lesson.

Everything in a Universe is in order as it should be, designed by the "superior reasoning power" that created this unimaginable Universe, as Einstein would say.

We do after all, live in a miracle. For more thoughts about that, listen in.

Ideas and commentary about expanding one's thinking from small-minded, limited thinking into limitless, infinite thinking that models the Universe we live in. The Life Force or God, whatever you call it, that created this Infinite miracle, would it be as small-minded and petty as we are? Perhaps that is one of our jobs in this temporary physical existence, to overcome that small-minded thinking. Osho wrote the book, "Your Answers Questioned."

The Dalai Lama says, "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." The acorn brain, as I call it, or the "little hooligan," as Rainer Maria Rilke, called it, is small-minded, and limited, at least for me. When I expand my thinking to match the limitless, infinite nature of the Universe, I find that life responds in kind. You can prove that concept to yourself, don't take my word for it. Never follow anyone or anything blindly. Your thinking has created what you have experienced in life thus far. Want something bigger, want to make a difference, except your acorn brain says, "your too small to make a difference?" The Dalai Lama also says, "If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito." Listen in for more.

Life is a gift, always working to wake us up to our calling. Most resist, hoping to escape life unscathed. Is that truly living? Small-minded, limited thinking is very prevalent in today's world and has always been with us. In my latest book, "Sage Advice, Wisdom for living from throughout the Ages..." I found many examples, dating back to 300 BC, of Sages who talked about so many folks being small-minded. Cicero said between 106 & 43 BC, "the authority of those who teach is often an obstacle to those who want to learn." Sound familiar today? Even in colleges, we see this today. He also said "Politicians are not born; they are excreted."

Sounds like that still applies over 2000 years later.

Tune in for more about expanding into limitless, Infinite thinking.

This may not be for you if you prefer to hold onto your small-minded, limited thinking. Certainly today, few people even grasp the idea of modeling the thinking of what created this miracle called a Universe we live in. If you think humans think like God, think again. We can stretch our thinking to model limitless, Infinite thinking. I suggest that is our job in this life, especially after my Near Death Experience when I got a glimpse of what awaits us and how small-minded and limited our egoic thinking is. Marcus Bach defined Apocatastasis as: "The serendipitous secret that in every seed of seeming tragedy is hidden the fruit of glory and reward."

He goes on to say "that in a moment of despair or seemingly irreversible circumstances we should send our thoughts on a shaft of faith into the tomorrow where the full meaning of today becomes apparent. It's the small-minded, limited, "acorn brain" that has us stuck in despair. We forget in those moments that we live in a miracle called an "Infinite Universe" and that all is in order. George Ivanovich Gurdjieff said, “Two things in life are infinite; the stupidity of man and the mercy of God.” Small-minded, limited thinking that we see today in all walks of life, in our leadership, and in world leaders today put that stupidity on display... and our efforts to impress others and live from the outside in, looking for our value as a person from titles, achievements, possessions, etc mean nothing when we leave here for "what's next." We are the same when we rejoin the Infinite, pauper and Ph.D., homeless and wealthy, expert and neophyte, all are one and "no thing", nothing makes us any different or special. Aristotle lived from 384bc to 322 bc... he said that gravity is essentially the following; "The Aristotelian explanation of gravity is that all bodies move toward their natural place" or to me that says "what belongs together in a Universe, belongs together." Are you asleep in life, blaming others for "what happening to you?" What if it's happening for you? Aristotle said about gravity "that all bodies move toward their natural place." In July 2020 an NPR segment on Understanding Unconscious Bias reports, "The human brain can process 11 million bits of information every second. But our conscious minds can handle only 40 to 50 bits of information a second."

Rev. Dr. Petra Weldes writes, "Our lives are so overly filled with stimulation and our attention taken up by so much input that our minds and our spirit have precious little breathing room from which to respond from our spiritual awareness.

We respond often to the "automatic thought", the "acorn brain" (as I call it) which is our "default pattern", our unconscious habits and patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving without thinking. We respond from our "story" that we tell ourselves is true. However small-minded that belief may be, without questioning our answers, we continue to gather evidence to prove our story is true and make others wrong who look or sound different.

Overcoming small-minded, limited thinking can benefit one who begins to question their answers as Osho wrote in his book "Your Answers Questioned." Begin the journey into limitless, Infinite thinking and prove to yourself that you can live an expansive life that includes acceptance, dialogue, and compromise with the goal of leaving everything and everyone a little better than we find them.

It's only a small-minded, limited thinker that is a part of making others wrong for their individualized thinking. We are all as different as our fingerprints, an individual expression of the Divine. It's small-minded and limited to believe we should all follow anything blindly. Just view any political convention to see the folly of it all.

Cancel Culture is in opposition to the individualization of spirit and very small-minded, limited thinking. Expand into Limitless, Infinite thinking with acceptance and awe of how wonderful each individual is. The purpose of anyone who bugs us, or any event that does, is the Divine urging us to grow and overcome our small-minded thinking.

Ernest Holmes once said "Eternal, Immortal, Timeless. If we are a creation of That which is eternal and immortal, if we are a creation of God and God is what we are, can what we are be other than immortal and eternal?"

We have no "use by" date stamped on our forehead. Live like it never ends and do good. Fear nothing and no one and never blindly follow anyone who suggests less. We live forever, just in a different form. That is what I experienced when I croaked on November 18th, 2002, and you will experience that too, just hopefully not before you listen to this episode.

Gratefully yours,

Steve

Ernest Holmes once said "We are not downtrodden, depraved and miserable sinners, born in sin and conceived in iniquity and shame, Some to go to heaven and some to hell and all to the eternal glory of God. This is a lie; it always was and always will be."

This was what I experienced on 11/18/2002, from intensive care to "what's next". One with the Infinite, one with the Creator of all.

Humans are subject to the small-minded, "acorn brain" as I call it and once we leave here for "what's next" we leave all that behind. The good news is we can do it here by expanding our thinking into limitless, Infinite thinking, modeling what we live in.

Listen here for more on that.

Ernest Holmes once said "It is often said that ignorance is the only sin and enlightenment the only salvation. And in such degree, as we cooperate with and entertain good in our thought and actions, the entire nature of the Universe is for us and nothing is against us."

Small-minded, limited thinking is ignorance and limitless, Infinite thinking is enlightened. The good we do is somehow etched onto the fabric of time. Do good and how do you feel?

Bruce Lee once said "Seriously, if you always put limits on what you can do, physical or anything else, it'll spread over the rest of your life. It'll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being... . There are NO limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. A person must constantly exceed their level."

It reminds me of my tagline, "The Best Getting Better." Listen to those around you talk and you will hear limits, self-imposed limits. They limit themselves. As Bruce said above, there are plateaus and no limits. It is the same with our thinking. We can expand into limitless, Infinite thinking by realizing "who is the thinker of the thought?" Who runs you? The small-minded, limited thinker that resides in us all or the limitless, Infinite thinker.

Come to challenge me and be a guest on my podcast and or share your thoughts with me. You are entitled to your opinion and I may ask you "does that sound like small-minded thinking?"

Prove it to yourself. Don't take my word for anything. Limitless, Infinite thinking will change your life.

Coming in November, look for my new podcast based on my book "You may be Full of Shit....IF", where I will banter with guests about anything and discuss where we are all full of shit.

"You do not just wake up and become the butterfly. Growth is a process" anonymous

"Unless we are constantly expanding our thought, we are not growing, Growth is the law of life and it is necessary." Ernest Holmes

Expanding beyond our egoic, small-minded, limited, acorn brain into the Limitless, Infinite thinker we cannot grow. Small-minded thinking begets more to be small-minded about. It's opposite begets a limitless, infinite existence. Prove it to yourself.

Does God or the Creation think like us or is it our job to think like the force that created the Universe? The Infinite miracle called a Universe? I suggest it's our job to overcome all small-minded, limited thinking and expand into limitless, Infinite thinking. Consider the impact that Gandhi, Mother Teresa, or Martin Luther King, to name only a few, modeled and lived to overcome small-minded, limited thinking. Work daily to overcome your own small-minded, limited thinking and prove to yourself the impact it will have on your own life.

Deepak Chopra says " Every action generates a force that returns to us in like kind." Ernest Holmes once said, " Karma is the seat of action, polarity - action and reaction."

Imagine what small-minded, "acorn-brain", limited thinking returns to us in a cause-and-effect world. Judging others, thinking one religion is the only religion and making all others wrong for their beliefs, and making anyone wrong because they think or look different are all examples of small-minded, limited thinking.

Thinking like the Creator of all of life, thinking like that which animates the whole universe, is modeling limitless, Infinite thinking. Tips for overcoming all our egoic, small-minded thinking is what this podcast is all about, based upon my experience at what most call death and I call it "what's next."

We do live in a miracle, a universe and we sometimes forget that with the challenges we face, or at least I do. I remind myself, when I catch that small-minded thought, "What am I grateful for? What thoughts model the life-force that created this amazing miracle we live in?

Physicists in recent supercollider experiments discovered atomic particles called muons, don't always act as expected. Doesn't that sound like life itself? Like many of the people and situations that occur in our daily life? Hmmmm... something to think about?

To change one's life, the work is changing on the inside. "Life is best lived from the InsideOut™ ®."

Small-minded thinking leads to a small life, limitless, infinite thinking leads one to a large life with infinite possibilities.

This one has to prove to one's self. Follow no one blindly, do not surrender to anybody your own spiritual beliefs. Thank those who help you, acknowledge the good received; but always be ready to pass to what is next for you. Emmet Fox said "Remember the Truth of Being concerns Itself with the Infinite, the impersonal Principle of Life; and does not lend itself to the exploitation of particular personalities or organizations. You do not owe an atom of loyalty to anyone or anything in the Universe except your own Indwelling Spiritual Integrity (Christ, God, Goddess, Muhammed, Abraham)."

The journey of others is none of our business, our own journey, however, is of incredible importance because we are the only one who has to power to change what our reality consists of.

One has to prove anything about life to themselves. Never take anyone's word for anything... and we can see all the many who want the world to "think alike." Limitless, Infinite thinking embraces all of life as feedback and the opportunity to grow and overcome small-minded ideas. This podcast is dedicated to helping others along that path. We live in a miracle, an infinite universe. We come from and return to the Infinite... the God, the Goddess, the Brahma, the Buddha, the Abraham, the Mohammed... it matters not what you call it... Where the limitless resides, I was there on 11/18/2002. It had no name as Lao Tzu said in the "Dao de Jing". No religion or sex, or sexual preference, no nationality, nothing from here was there. Limited, small-minded thinking, all judgments ceased to exist... all there was, was the moment, the now as Ram Dass called it... Overcome small-minded thinking, what I call the "acorn brain" and see if your life changes. Don't take my word for it, instead experiment for yourself with changing your mind, switching into limitless, infinite thinking that allows all their journey, for the lives others live are none of our business. Your life is your only business.

One day you will too, join with the limitless when you croak... and you will see there is a next. I hope it's not tonight and having been there I can say you have nothing to fear. What we came from and return to is an amazing miracle, like the Universe we live in.

What we see that bugs us in others is merely a reflection of something we too have to fix. As a prophet once said... "remove the tree from your own eye before you try to remove the splinter from mine."

Waking up is first about developing a level of thinking above your thinking, after all, who is the thinker of the thought? Then you can begin the journey of rising above the "automatic thought, which often leads to the automatic response."

Life itself is about overcoming our "self" and growing above limited, finite, acorn brain thinking into limitless, infinite thinking. Hear more about it on this week's podcast.

Shoshin is a word from Zen Buddhism meaning "beginner's mind." It refers to having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions when studying a subject, even when studying at an advanced level, just as a beginner would. Shunryu Suzuki once said "In the beginners' mind there are many possibilities and in the experts, there are few."

Breakthrough small-minded acorn brain thinking into the Limitless, Infinite thinking by challenging your own "expert" thinking and challenge the expert thinking of others as well... common sense has often prevailed over many "experts"... start by being willing to challenge the places you think you are the expert.

Over the ages, all the prophets have said this ... "No one is any less or any more than another... we are all to overcome any judgemental thinking... to leave behind small-minded thinking for the Infinite thinking of the creator" ... that is the image we were made of... Infinite Mercy...

Our time here is limited... what we attach to in the material world is meaningless... it's all gone in an instant, and we can build up riches in the afterlife by doing "good" here... somehow the good we do is etched onto the fabric of time...

How to let go of small-minded, limited thinking, become more empathetic and, compassionate especially with yourself. And how to notice the story you are telling yourself about your morning, day, week, month, year and your life. Love yourself and the moment as that is where you will find The Divine, The Life Force, The Universe, The Goddess, The Buddha, The Mohammed, The Abraham, The Infinite...

What made us is limitless as mirrored by the fact that we live in a limitless miracle. As Einstein once said, "‘Is the universe a friendly place?’ This is the first and most basic question all people must answer for themselves. I can tell you that it is friendly when we replace our small-minded, acorn brain thinking with limitless thinking, we will improve our world and our lives. For anything to change in the world, it has to be that we are the change first in ourselves. Our job is our journey and the journey of others is truly none of our business.

Examples of small-minded thinking... I have it, perhaps you do as well... it is not the thinking of the Infinite... the Life Force, God, Goddess, The Divine, The Buddha, The Christ, The Abraham or the Mohammed ... whatever you call it... makes no matter... as Lao Tzu said in the Dao de Jing... "You cannot name that which has no name..." and to believe that one has the religion of the maker is small-minded as well. The Infinite is the All in All... observe all the places that you have small-minded thinking and overcome it ... that is our job in this physical life on the way back to our spiritual essence.

George Ivanovich Gurdjieff once said, "Two things are infinite in life; the stupidity of man and the mercy of God." Waking up takes a force of will; to leave behind the slavery of stupidity, it takes first leaving behind the automatic thought and the automatic response. Second, to develop a level of thinking above one's thinking, to become an observer or witness of one's "self" and to ask, "who is the thinker of the thought?" To work towards leaving everyone and everything a little better than we find them in every moment.  The joy one finds is immense.

Mindfulness is about enjoying the moment regardless of what shows up - despite "your plan" for the day or the moment, forget your schedule and be fully present with what shows up. Interruptions can be a great gift and you miss the gift if you resist and are angry. As Eckhart Tolle  says "when you fight life, life fights you." Wake up, Jump into your life!

I am enough and you are enough... anything that happens in life does not add to your value nor take anything away. No mistake you have made reduces who you are and no great achievement adds anything to your value. You are a human being, loved infinitely by God, the Life Force, The Universe, that which flung the stars into space makes everything perfectly just as it is and just as you are.

Small minded thinking is all around us and our job is to break through limited thinking into limitless thinking.  Expansive thinking is our urge to do good and our urge to help others. Limited thinking's gift is to wake us up into "different thinking..."

I've had the gift of a near death experience and I can tell you for sure, nothing from here... nothing from earth and our small minded thinking is where the Life Force resides... where God, the Goddess, the Divine, the Universe, the Buddha, the Christ... nothing from here is there and especially, small minded thinking. If it sounds human... it is... I invite to take this journey with me weekly into "limitless" thinking. Different thinking for Different times.

Thanks, Steve Lentini
