In 1994, Frank Miller was the Keynote speaker at the Diamond Retailer's Summit, an annual convention among comic book retailers and comic shop owners. This was the speech he gave to a room full of industry professionals and peers. This was following the death of Jack Kirby and Jack made no bones about his feelings concerning Jack's contribution to the industry and his resulting treatment by it. You could've heard a pin drop. It was an amazing night and I was lucky enough to have not only been in the audience, but probably one of the only people who showed up at the table in the back of the room and requested an audio version of the speech.
