2 Corinthians 9:6-15 (NIV) Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:
โThey have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.โ
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lordโs people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene 11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesusโ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.
13 They asked her, โWoman, why are you crying?โ
โThey have taken my Lord away,โ she said, โand I donโt know where they have put him.โ 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
15 He asked her, โWoman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?โ
Thinking he was the gardener, she said, โSir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.โ
16 Jesus said to her, โMary.โ
She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, โRabboni!โ (which means โTeacherโ).
17 Jesus said, โDo not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, โI am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.โโ
18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: โI have seen the Lord!โ And she told them that he had said these things to her.

The Death of Jesus 28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, โI am thirsty.โ 29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesusโ lips. 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, โIt is finished.โ With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

33 So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together. 34 Anyone who is hungry should eat something at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment.

John 11:45-57 New International Version The Plot to Kill Jesus 45 Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him. 46 But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. 47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.
โWhat are we accomplishing?โ they asked. โHere is this man performing many signs. 48 If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.โ
49 Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, โYou know nothing at all! 50 You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.โ
51 He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, 52 and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one. 53 So from that day on they plotted to take his life.
54 Therefore Jesus no longer moved about publicly among the people of Judea. Instead he withdrew to a region near the wilderness, to a village called Ephraim, where he stayed with his disciples.
55 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, many went up from the country to Jerusalem for their ceremonial cleansing before the Passover. 56 They kept looking for Jesus, and as they stood in the temple courts they asked one another, โWhat do you think? Isnโt he coming to the festival at all?โ 57 But the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that anyone who found out where Jesus was should report it so that they might arrest him.
John 10:27-30 New International Version 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[a]; no one can snatch them out of my Fatherโs hand. 30 I and the Father are one.โ
Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind 9 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, โRabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?โ
3 โNeither this man nor his parents sinned,โ said Jesus, โbut this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
John 8:1-11 New International Version 8 1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, โTeacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?โ 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, โLet any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.โ 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, โWoman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?โ
11 โNo one, sir,โ she said.
โThen neither do I condemn you,โ Jesus declared. โGo now and leave your life of sin.โ
John 7:37-39 New International Version 37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, โLet anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.โ[a] 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
John 3:31-36

31 The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. 32 He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. 33 Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. 34 For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God[a] gives the Spirit without limit. 35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for Godโs wrath remains on them.
John 4:46-54
New International Version
46 Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. 47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.
48 โUnless you people see signs and wonders,โ Jesus told him, โyou will never believe.โ
49 The royal official said, โSir, come down before my child dies.โ
50 โGo,โ Jesus replied, โyour son will live.โ
The man took Jesus at his word and departed. 51 While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. 52 When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, โYesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.โ
53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, โYour son will live.โ So he and his whole household believed.
54 This was the second sign Jesus performed after coming from Judea to Galilee.
John 5:31-40 New International Version Testimonies About Jesus 31 โIf I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. 32 There is another who testifies in my favor, and I know that his testimony about me is true.
33 โYou have sent to John and he has testified to the truth. 34 Not that I accept human testimony; but I mention it that you may be saved. 35 John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.
36 โI have testimony weightier than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to finishโthe very works that I am doingโtestify that the Father has sent me. 37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, 38 nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. 39 You study[a] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
Matthew 16:13-18
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, โWho do people say the Son of Man is?โ
14 They replied, โSome say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.โ
15 โBut what about you?โ he asked. โWho do you say I am?โ
16 Simon Peter answered, โYou are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.โ
17 Jesus replied, โBlessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[a] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[b] will not overcome it.
16) Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17) For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18) No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[a] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
