Katie is often called ”The big sis we all need” She interviews experts and 20-somethings alike talking about boys, faith, purpose, and all the things your mama didn‘t tell you but you wish you knew in your 20‘s.
Kate Berski is a self-made multi-millionaire and mental health advocate who survived the challenges of her 20s and is now dedicated to helping others do the same. Her unique blend of honesty, vulnerability, and expertise has made her a voice of hope for young adults around the world. In her bold and deeply relatable new book, 30-Phobia: Why Your 20s Suck and How to Get Unstuck, Kate pulls back the curtain on the myth that your 20s are the best years of your life—and shows why they often aren’t. Today we talk about:
From a single-wide trailer in West Virginia to Yale Law School. She learned to stop playing small but also not forget her roots. You guys, Mary Marantz is the REAL DEAL! She encourages women to stop playing small and the powerful mindset shifts to overcome perfectionism, procrastination, people-pleasing, imposter syndrome, overthinking, etc. She exposes and dismantles some of fear’s most boring lies, including self-sabotage, second-guessing, feeling like not enough, and both fear of failure and success.
She was an instant best friend and I know you will LOVE her too!
A former C-Suite executive with Amazon Prime and Mac Cosmetics (no big deal) Ukonwa Ojo is Forbes' World's Most Influential CMOs and Black Enterprise 25 Women Changing the World.
Now she is setting a new path creating the Zaia app, a groundbreaking social
networking platform designed to connect Christians worldwide.
I absolutely ADORED this incredible woman and I know you will too!

People tend to assume the worst about Gen Z. Some of those assumptions include that Gen Z are lazy, tech-addicted, or coddled due to weakness. But there is so much more to this generation than those assumptions.
Jordan Nations, Program Manager at WinShape Camps, works day in and day out with Gen-Z and knows firsthand the strengths they possess, as well as the fire they have for God’s Kingdom. He believes our job as the Church is to encourage and equip Gen Z to fulfill their God-given mission.

We are living in a time where many people feel behind in life due to the pervasive influence of social media, which often portrays unrealistic and an idealized version of achievements, relationships and lifestyles. Add to that the societal pressures to reach certain milestones by specific ages – such as marriage, having children, home ownership, and career success – and it can exacerbate feelings of inadequacy and delay. The impact of these things are far reaching and lead individuals to feel stuck, overlooked and as if they should constantly strive to catch up.
Meghan Ryan Asbury tackles this pressure head on and offers encouragement and spiritual guidance for Christians grappling with feelings of unmet expectations, milestones and unfulfilled dreams.

My husband sent me one of Lisa’s reels knowing we would be instant friends and he was right. Thankfully Lisa accepted my invitation to be a guest on the podcast and her story is fascinating.
Lisa was the “good girl” who made all A’s and always showed up for work, yet she was also binge drinking, struggling with an ED and searching for love in all the toxic guys.
She got her PhD, went to years of therapy, and tried every new age solution under the sun but what finally healed her was a man named Jesus.
She wrote a book you can pre-order now called 52 lessons I learned in recovery

Nearly all of my most popular social media videos are about the WHY behind the wait. I get the most feedback, DM's, and shares of people wanting to have more conversations about what it looks like to wait for sex for marriage, and HOW to make that possible. It's not purity culture but it's not hookup culture either. It is God's design for sex no matter your past or present. It's the messy middle and I think we need more conversations here so I recorded a podcast on it! Here are the links I mentioned in the episode:

Did you know you have FOUR stages to your period, it makes sense you have more energy and are more outgoing one week, and want to stay at home the next because this is all part of your biology!
My guest today, Macy Maxson, dreamed of a day when women's health actually supported women. From clean period products to technology that supports cycles to healthcare that heals women not just put a bandaid on to cover the problem.
She wanted a period brand that embraced femininity, not tried to get rid of it. Hey we should bleed for something right?

Love her or not, Taylor Swift is a force to be reckoned with. She has broken nearly every record the music industry has to offer, named Time woman of the year, Forbes most powerful woman, and has more fans than all of the NFL teams combined. When our daughters became swifties I couldn't help but do a deep dive into who is this powerhouse of a woman. I wanted to know how she got to where she is today. Was she born lucky? Was she at the right place at the right time? The past few months I have learned all things Taylor Swift and realized there is much to be learned from her, so I recorded a podcast episode about it! I'll unpack * Why and how people tried to undermine her success. * How she went door to door in Nashville asking for a record deal at the age of ELEVEN * How she was sued for 5 million dollars, countersued for $1 and WON!
Here is a fun episode of what we can learn from Taylor Swift and even finding Jesus in some of her lyrics. I hope you enjoy!Follow Katie on Instagram and TikTok

It’s estimated that 60-72 percent of men in the Church are sex addicts. And 70% of wives of sex addicts experience some symptoms of PTSD.* People are looking for hope and healing. But many of them are trapped in a cycle that never resolves in recovery. Best-selling author and sexual theology educator Dannah Gresh and her husband Bob say they have known that harrowing pattern, but they’re stepping out to tell a story of hope.
Gresh demonstrates how to forgive, live with joy, and hold your head high while you participate in His redemption story for your husband. You may feel like your story is over, but no one writes better—or happier—endings than Jesus.

Every time I talk about sex on the interwebs I get comments that say "YES, and you would love the great sex rescue" And they are RIGHT! You can imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to interview the author of this best-selling (life-changing) book!
In this episode we bust lies many people have believed about what sex is and what it isn't. How it's a gift but not an obligation. It is sacred but it also needs to be talked about with your spouse. Also how Christians are supposed to go from "don't think about it" to "enjoy it" as soon as they walk down the aisle???
All of this and more is what we unpack on this episode!

Janell grew up a "good Christian girl" but when she started to ask WHY she believed what she did she was scared of what she would find. To her surprise Jesus really is who He says He is and isn't afraid of her big questions. Today Janell hosts a podcast called finding something real where she invites young women to ask hard, real, and raw questions on their own journey of faith.

What if developing great friendships was actually easier than we thought? And what if finding a "soul friend" wasn't necessarily our highest goal?
In The Life Council, Laura Tremaine--the writer and podcaster behind 10 Things to Tell You--tells us what we've been hoping was true all along: making, keeping, and even releasing friends doesn't need to be as hard aswe make it.
This fun and practical guide gives you what you need to create your own "life council" with the friends you already have, navigate tough conversations with friends, and how to evaluate your friendship circle for what's working and what might need to change.

For a long time, popular podcaster, Tara Sun tried controlling her own life, until one day she heard the audible voice of God say, “You aren’t supposed to be here.” Just like the rest of us, Tara was determined to salvage her life’s plan because she thought she knew better than God. But like everyone else who has tried to white- knuckle their way to self-fulfillment, Tara discovered what lies on the other side: frustration, disappointment and exhaustion when life doesn’t go our way.

I haven't yet shared about how post covid I started having panic attacks about traveling. I started sharing this (embarrassing) fact with a few close friends and many people told me, ME TOO!!!! Or just some unexpected anxiety that came from nowhere in this post-covid world.
So I found a podcast that helped me a TON and I reached out to the host to see if I could have her counsel me live on a podcast episode. Thankfully Diana Swillinger is a good sport and this may very possibly be my favorite episode to date.

When I posted to social what topics you want covered more here on the Truth for your Twenties podcast. Several of you mentioned a relationship with your parents as you become an adult.
And I can think of no one to unpack this subject better than my personal hero, Sandra Stanley
Sandra and her husband Andy co-wrote a new book on parenting and if you have been around here for more than a minute you have probably heard me quote Andy at least a time or two. He is what I believe one of the best communicators of our day founder of Atlanta-based North Point Ministries consisting of a network of 180 churches around the globe that collectively serve over 200,000 people weekly.
And the author of the book I recommend almost every day the new rules for love sex and dating.
His beautiful wife Sandra went to Georgia Tech and then went on to get her master of arts from Dallas Theological Seminary. Sandra has a heart for foster kids and foster families, as she and Andy have been foster parents since 2010.
Together they have raised 3 of their own biological children and just wrote a book called parenting, getting it right.
We are chatting about how to parent FOR THE RELATIONSHIP and how to repair it even if you are the child.

Here are the links I mention in the episode:

Ryan George, author of Scared to Life: Tales of a Good God Who Reveals His Heart When ours is Racing. Ryan George visited all seven continents and both polar circles, searching for meaning and acceptance, contentment and recognition. As he ran from pain, regret, and insecurity, he chased diverse adrenaline rushes and social media affirmation. What he actually found was a God with new definitions for words like life, success, and adventure. Despite decades in the church, his faith became real and alive in contexts far from Sunday services.
Ryan is a master storyteller and whenever someone listening says they would be scared to death [to bungee jump, hike a frozen waterfall, BASE jump] that he is scared to life. Ryan shares sweat-inducing stories of adventure throughout the book and pairs them with lessons of faith he’s learned from following his God-given love of the adrenaline rush.

Joanna Hyatt noticed both culture and the church, were having incorrect and unhelpful conversations on sex. She approaches the subject scientifically, biblically, with wisdom and tons of ah-ha moments.
What my 21-year-old intern said about this episode, "I think the church can be so afraid to talk about sex they don't talk about it at all, then young people don't get the guidance they need, This podcast is closing that gap!"
