Jonathan Edwards was a colonial American Congregational preacher, theologian, and missionary to Native Americans. Edwards "is widely acknowledged to be America's most important and original philosophical theologian." His work is very broad in scope, but he is often associated with his defense of Calvinist theology, the metaphysics of theological determinism, and the Puritan heritage. His famous sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God," emphasized the just wrath of God against sin and contrasted it with the provision of God for salvation; the intensity of his preaching sometimes resulted in members of the audience fainting, swooning, and other more obtrusive reactions. The swooning and other behaviors in his audience caught him up in a controversy over "bodily effects" of the Holy Spirit's presence. (Summary by Wikipedia)This collection contains nineteen of his sermons, including "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God."
Matt and Zach begin the episode with musings on why anime shows can't be made into good live action films. They also posit that all MCU films should just be call Iron Man [insert number].
Moving from the opening tangent, the Aang gang is fighting fire benders over the open ocean! A truly Michael Bay-esque escapade.
They guys continue their hard line questions: Just how smart is Captain Zhao? How is Avatar Roku's fire hot enough to burn away metal chains, but not skin? Why does no one seem nervous about walking through a live volcano's magma chamber?
We wrap all that up with an avid love of dogs. That has nothing to do with episode. But it lives up to the ZAM! adage: Come for the anime, stay for the tangents. An adage that we just made up.

Zamfans! Yes, we know. We've been gone. Well, b/w people getting the flu and people moving, it's been a crazy 3 weeks! But...it's good to be back!
Without missing a beat, we get into the next episode of Avatar. We question the wisdom in hot tubbing while naked. Did we need the innuendo of Iroh's man piece? How does Aang not know that clouds are made of water?
All the same things you love, with off the rails tangents mixed in. Feels good.

In this episode of ZAM!, Zach and Matt still can't wrap their minds around how Aang & Co. haven't starved yet. Star Trek is referenced (b/c it's relatable to everything...everything). Also, we accuse an elderly man of growing weed in a mine. New year...same us.
Zamfans! We need you! Spread the word about the show and follow us on Twitter. Rate and review the show on iTunes and Stitcher if ya could. Show us some love.

Zach and Matt return to your ears with plenty of hot takes and hard hitting questions! This is the episode famous for the "My cabbages!" refrain, said by everyone's favorite unnamed vegetable vendor.
The guys discover their love of "dad" jokes, even though they're not dads. Dungeons and Dragons is somehow referenced and we discover that Aang's schooling is sorely lacking. All this...and that's it.
Please leave us ratings and reviews on iTunes and Stitcher! It would help us a lot.

It may be a new year, but it's still the same old Zach and Matt. We're talking about the smashing of patriarchies through the eyes of Sokka. He's about to be taken down a few pegs in this episode.
Matt and Zach worry about the state of Aang's hormones, the marvel at how bad Sokka is at apologies and Zach wants an Appa so bad.
Our apologies about the audio. Weak connection. Boo. We're working on it!

Zamfans! Your favorite goofs are by themselves again on this episode. Matt confuses Simon Says with the color matching game Simon. Which makes Zach reminisce about one of his favorite 90's commercials.
As usual, we ask the hard hitting questions: How do fire benders block each other's attacks? How is Katara so intuitive to the point that she's pulling facts out of thin air?
Stick around to the end for a little surprise!

In this final conversation about One Punch Man....Zach is "basic", Saitama gets punched to the moon and Matt gets the buzzer. It's a no hold barred fight to death in the epic conclusion of the first season of One Punch Man and ZAM!
Thanks to everyone who gave the show a shot. We hope you'll stick with us for season 2! Remember to spread the word about the show, and rate and review us on iTunes and Stitcher. It would help us out a lot!

Greetings Zamfans! In this episode Zach and Matt discuss workplace woes, alien command structures, the importance of doing one's job...you know, the usual.
Also, Matt has an interesting faux pas...which is pretty great. Zach shames himself with a terrible pun, and as always, they show off their flawless Japanese speaking skills. Goofs abound in the 2nd to last review of One Punch Man! It was a long week, what can we say?

We welcome you Zammers, to the beginning of the end...of One Punch Man.
As Zach and Matt near the finish line, they continue to ask the real questions: Is Tornado a child? If so, why isn't she wearing pants/underwear? How does a Godzilla-like monster know what century he's in? Why are there so many stereotypes in this episode? Why is there an 'S' class hero who's only power seems to be that he wields a little league bat?
That's right, your favorite nerds, asking the things that you can't/won't/don't care about. This is also Matt's favorite episode! We've arrived people! Join us as we begin to say goodbye to this crazy anime. ALSO, we announce the next show we'll be reviewing! We know, pins and needles.

In this episode, Mumen Rider goes "Beast Mode"....or tries to. It's hard, when you're...just a regular dude in foam body armor. We discuss triumphant sports movie moments, and how they don't apply to One Punch Man.
Zach and Matt break out their "old men" voices, Matt does a good impression of a side character and Zach does a fairly good impression of Frankendoodle from Spongebob Square Pants. It's a weird one, what can we say?

In this episode...evil Atlanteans! As in like, evil sea monsters. Not people from Atlanta.
We continue on our journey of One Punch Man dissection. Matt repeats a life lesson from last week by accident. He's all washed up. Zach doesn't understand how crushed velvet can survive salt water.
We meet some heroes, that on the surface seem great...but once again are useless. Except for being good distractions.
Matt and Zach talk about stereotypes in Anime and how it affects the watching experience.

Heeey ZAMfans..Zammers? In this episode, things get real Deep Impact-y/Armageddon-y.
A meteor is headed towards earth! Oh no! Who could possibly stop it? We meet some new heroes...although we question if they can actually be called that.
Zach and Matt ask more hard hitting questions like: Why does the Heroes Assoc. plan for evacuation suck? What purpose does the hero, Bang, serve? How does no civilian die in this episode?
We're more than half way done guys! We'll be revealing the next show in the last episode of One Punch Man, so make sure to listen in!

Saitama's world is expanding with new villains and heroes in this episode! We dive into the mysterious Hero's Association...and discuss how annoying Bear gentrification can be. This week's episode asks: Why are there hardly any female characters in One Punch Man? One Punch Patriarchy, more like it. Yea, we take the ax to the root on this one. Also we learn that Saitama is about as dumb as a bunch of rocks...which we're assuming you've figured out by now.

Welcome Zammers. In this episode Zach & Matt are the best cartoon reviewers that they know. They explain what the Inverse Ninja Law is and how it relates to the show...it's an educational show.
Matt is taking the reigns on this one! He leads us through an episode filled with Trump caricatures, 99 percenter references and...crotch shots? Yea, we don't know anymore...and it's only episode 4.

In this episode, we finally get the explanation for Saitama's strength.
Zach and Matt wonder: Why are "acceptable losses" talked about in the mass millions? Why does "evolving the human race" always involve killing humans? How is not using the A/C in Summer and heat in the Winter conducive to great strength?
Zach and Matt also show off their "anime gasp" skills...we don't understand why we don't have voiceover job offers.

In this episode of ZAM!, Zach and Matt don't like bugs. And they're EVERYWHERE in this one. We meet a cyborg who is more "tell don't show", a sexy mosquito woman? Girl? Person? And the dumbest. Looter. EVER. Join Zach and Matt as they wonder why people don't listen to emergency warnings, and why the news in One Punch Man's world doesn't have a "the following footage may not be suited for younger viewers" banner.
