I feel really bad about not having yet another episode. I've been under going some personal things (nothing horrible). I'll be fine as I'm finally over the hump I think.
Anyway Episode 9 will be out next week... I hope.
It's all about reviews for Episode 9! I will also update everyone on my quilt!

Many apologies for the delays.
That's right! Next Weds Episode 8 will finally be relased. I've got a lot to talk about too.
Many, many appologies everyone. I had planned to do Episode 8 this past weekend, but have been super busy lately. The plan is to do Episode 8 this week, have it up and then do Episodes 9, 10 and 11 in pretty quick succession. Stay tuned for more details soon.

Episode 8 should be out next week. And this time I promise!
I'm only going to be doing one review in Episode 8 (due to me being lazy and not reading that much). However, it will still be jammed pack of lots of goodies.
From my family to yours, I hope you are all having a very Happy Holidays season!
Episode 8 will be out next week I promise.

Yes I know this was supposed to be reviews, but a few things happened:
a. So many things that I want to review
b. Not enough hours in the day to do so
c. I was lazy

Question of the Week: With Christmas and Hanukkah right around the corner, how many quilts are you making/made for gifts during this time of year?
Thanks for listening!
Edit: Whoops! This was supposed to go up tomorrow, ah well! As of right now everything is not outdated.
What I had orginally planned to do for Episode 7 will now be Episode 8. Why the change? Frankly it's because I have way too many things I want to review, and just not enough time to do so.
Episode 7 will still be recorded tonight (and prob. will be posted either tonight or tomorrow, haven't decided yet). Episode 7 will be all about updates on my quilt, plus the hiatus of my mom's quilt and coming out of hiatus my sister's quilt. I've also started a quilt for my neighbor. I'm also going to talk about doing things to make myself more focused.
All about reviews on this episode! An update on my first quilt that I'm really excited to give. I'm starting on a major project for a family member, and why I'm somewhat okay with it. Announce a minor change to the podcast. Plus a new Question of the Week!

I'm thinking of starting an online quilt guild since it seems that quilds around here at least the members are a little bit older (which I understand), but I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb in those guild meetings. I explain what I'm thinking of doing and how I can make it work. Leave a comment on the shownotes if you think this is a good idea!
Next Episode will be a review show! (Magazines, Books, Fabric and much more!)

Hey guys! I thought I was going to have time to do an episode, but I kept screwing up the recording. Because of that Episode 6 will be out when I return from New York. However, I felt I should give you an update on my quilt.
What's on My Sewing Machine: The first two sections of my quilt are done! The third should be done by the end of the weekend (or Monday), and I'll continue to do sections until the blocks are used.
Quickie episode today, sorry about that!

I'm going to NYC for Thanksgiving and looking for quilt shops there. I already found a website for City Quilter, and will try to head there, but I'm looking for 1 to 2 more shops. Leave a comment on this show notes post if you know of any more shops!
Closing music debuts on Episode 5. Also I applogize for sounding a little bit rushed with this episode. I just wanted to make sure I got it out before Halloween. The spooky noise was done by me recording myself in Audacity and then editing that section to sound a bit creepy. Not perfect, but it works.
A very special Holloween episode! I talk about the time that I made my sister's costume (not sewing related, however fabric was involved). I also introduce the Donation Button! Also there is still time to reply to Episode 3's Question of the Week.
So here is the promo that I just made. Nothing special, short and sweet. Episode 4 will be out by Sunday.

Question of the Week Answers! I read an answer that I got back!
Question of the Week: Do you machine or hand quilt your quilts? If you machine quilt, do you do it at home (home sewing machine or longarm) or do you send it out to a professional.
You can either e-mail me at splashjournal at yahoo dot com or leave a post here on the show notes. Your responses will be read during episodes 4 and 5.
Thanks for listening to this episode! A very special Halloween one will be coming up next week!!!
I lied about the next episode being at the end of the month! So you will get a special four episodes in Oct. This episode will be focusing on my sister's quilt that I'm working on. I'm using applique pieces for this and well it's not going as planned. I talk about how I'm appliqueing and what exactly what I'm using. Plus updates on my quilt, thinking about weather I want to send the finished top out to be quilted or weather to I can do it myself. Plus lots of Thank Yous, Interesting Websites and a Question of the Week!
I will be recording the episode tomorrow night (I hope) and it should be up by Sunday (I hope).
Qusew Roundtable!!!!I'm currently looking for two to three people to Skype (online chat system) with once a month for a Quilting roundtable. This will be recorded by me (using most likely Pamela) and be posted about 2 to 3 days afterwards as part of an episode. The chat would most likely be between 1 ½ to 2 hours and would be normally either Friday or Saturday evenings (time TBD). If you are interested in doing this, please let me know at splashjournal at yahoo dot com or as a comment on this post. If you don't have a PDF reader, don't worry this will be up later this week (10/13/2011) as a regular post on the Shownotes qusew.blogspot.com. Thanks in advance!Rachel Host of Qusew
First off a promo will be going up sometime after Episode 3, when I'm not sure yet. For now, please take a look at this PDF (if you don't have PDF reader, I will be posting it as a post later on this week, plus I will be talking about this doing the episode as well). If you are interested, all the information will be in there. Episode 3 will be recorded before Halloween and should be up before that Monday so that you can enjoy it before Trick Or Treaters come!
Thanks in advance!
