The Duke Chronicle
Bridging the Gap is a commentary on race, gender, and marginalization at Duke and beyond, a series of conversations with Duke’s diverse student body and discussing their experiences navigating identity, discrimination, tokenism, and more at an institution that, at times, propagates the sort of systemic aggressions our nation is protesting against today.
This episode will focus on a history of The Chronicle itself, particularly regarding representation and how that has impacted our coverage of marginalized groups. We’ll be focusing on Black students in this episode, but it is important to acknowledge that students of other backgrounds may have different perceptions of The Chronicle and its coverage.
