sometimes it all starts with a blackberry bush and sometimes it all ends with one too.
there have been so many seasons where gardening has been my anchor and this year it provided me with an amazing perspective. i am so thankful that through your pruning and growing, we get to be together. so let’s roll up our sleeves and do the dirty work together. life as it should be.

anywhere she is an anointed space. ikwb family favorite laney crowder sat with me one sunny afternoon in nashville to talk all things heartfelt harvested and riding the flow of summer. visionary OGs and almost birthday twins makes laney matter a little extra to my heart plus she was in the delivery room with me and that’s a story all itself. the laughs, the banter, the golden nuggets of wisdom are cherished and abundant. pull up a chair and sit with us as we live now in our good old days, together.

in the simplification there is a melting away of old and welcoming new that cannot be done ((at least in my experience)) in the sweet chaos of the school season. so calm, unplugged, sunscreen scented, watermelon stained days are the mood.
cozy up with us inside the rest of our sandlot summer.
i love you too much. forever.

it’s like THE easiest to get stuck in day to day, the same schedule, the circumstances, the looming feelings of not enough. not enough time, not enough money, not enough muscle, the list can go on BUT what if for a moment it stopped? what if we take to time to really dream again. fall in love, dream like a kid again. lidless life is a moment in time that i have resurrected bc i miss a wide open world and mind. and if you do too, this little pep rally is just for you.
i love you. near or far. too much. forever. xoxo kb.
the new decision. what if we just decide? decide to be reminded of what we love and who we are. decide to make the change because we can. yep. maybe it is that easy. we are just a decided heart away from small or big shifts. newness. the promise and hope of a future. all things we can know as truth. all things easier to see with a post easter lens.
i love you. new. old. every in between. too much. forever. xoxo kb.
whew. not my typical holy week tribute but some real honesty and moments of clarity. our go to “sorry we can’t, it’s holy week” has been replaced. this holy week feels different. abundant? yes. full? completely. being the hands and feet of Jesus in noisy, but really beautifully chaotic, times. all the goodness. all at once. all the emotions. all at once. death. promise. life again. perhaps a holy yes is exactly what the answer should be. i love you. way too much. forever. happiest holy week my friends.

a note to all my warrior hearts ::: i love you. today i am holding everything. sometimes i need a moment to hold what floats to the top and detangle the rest later. tangible ways to move my tired, grieving, even joyful mind in a forward motion. slow and steady. love and protected. thanks for sitting in the sorting. i am spoiled to have you
xoxo. kb.
you asked, i answered. yikes. a lot you didn’t see coming… thanks for loving me and being so all in.

march roars in like a lion … and don’t i know that life! pumpkin rolls out but the best “what ifs” stay. as we launch into a spring refresh in home, heart, closet, and temps let’s pause for the importance of exiting our seasons like a lamb.
i love you. too much. forever. xoxo. kb.
what if…
girl. what if you are actually good at it? yes that. anything you haven’t tried or thought “maybe someday”… i think it’s time. time for the good old college try. time for the measuring cups and the printed recipes. time for substack or the LLC. whatever has been planted in your perfectly imperfect heart deserves a shot. so well the depth of pumpkin roll seems a little frosted in comparison, it turns out the key to knowing yourself is just a little self love sugar sometimes. i love you, you talented thing you! give it a try! what if you are actually good at this?
xoxo kb.
a little love note from me to you in between official seasons.

my anchored thought for the very first month of a new year. i have always thought of january as calm. january is for sorting. for quiet. for reorganizing. for purging. physically and mentally. for clarity and peace. i stopped making my resolutions or words a must by january because i just love shifting and sitting. so if it’s helpful, i’m passing along my •unrush january• method. you have the whole month to get cozy with yourself and let what will float, float. to decide what this year feels like. what speaks to you and through you.
truthfully though i do love just knowing the year has started. a start and freshness. but there is a melting away of old and welcoming new that cannot be done ((at least in my experience)) in the sweet chaos of the holiday season. so calm, disheveled january is the mood. it will pull itself together just like us. i pray that feeling washes over you and you feel your shoulders relax a bit. it’s january. it’s a world time out, a self plug in.
… a gentle way to reflect. we don’t need to tidy trees, homes, kitchens, AND new year resolutions all at once. that’s unfair and you’ve earned way more than to be limited in all your limitlessness. let’s just take some minutes during all the activities and the movement of the final two weeks of the year to note what worked and what didn’t. let’s give ourselves grace and room to breathe and then, sometime towards the top of january when things settle, we can aim. we can collect and refocus. we can slowly listen to the pace of our hearts and the needing of our wildest dreams. i am so thankful to have done so much time along side you this year. we are building something so special… a true Homecoming. i love you. too much. forever. xoxo kb.
diving into full swing holidays and testing all our knowing of what we need the very most! whew! i see you. i hear you. let’s talk about solutions for maybe rounding out some holiday plan sharper edges. in a plot twist of the holiday pummel, i offer that the ball is actually in your court. i also return to my favorite term “unhosting” …. oh just the sound of it feels like freedom. and just like vivian in pretty woman, “You’re right. We say who, we say when, we say how much” yikes - bad reference if you know the movie but you get where i’m headed. grounding ourselves in what we know we need most. it’s Homecoming and this is a fun exercise in enjoying the sacred quiet of the biggest gift. i love you. too much. forever. sorry again for the pretty woman reference… just the words match. everything else is a little off.
xoxo::: kb.
in a world of lap sitting, we take a moment to talk about trusting our intuitions. an honoring of our guts from wishlists to hosting this holiday season. all the ways the world tries to noisy up the most sacred of seasons and the weird ways it wants us to sit on strangers … get in. get cozy. let’s talk boundaries with santa, grandparents, creepy uncles and the way you don’t have to do a thing that doesn’t settle well. i love you. too much. forever. protecting you always.

when i think of Homecoming and the work, maturity, calm, passion it takes to return to one’s self, cassie sits at the top of my heart. she embodies a beautiful determination and a strong sense of knowing herself. she holds love and compassion near and dear. she is gentle, strong, loving and living life on purpose. she shares her journey in recreating. identifying valleys of wasn’t working in a one-step-at-a-time approach of the dark messy parts of addiction and its stronghold on the family system. her steadiness to heal herself and her family bled over to a remodel of structure in her marriage and relationships.
if we had to crown someone Homecoming Queen, my cherished friend deserves the sash and all standing ovations. i am proud of her, proud to be her friend, honored to walk along side her, and over the moon to share such a special human with yall. thank you for curling up with one of the most top tier heartbeats in my orbit.
“this path is anointed” indeed.

a lot rests on our hearts and shoulders this week. election season is loud and heavy and name cally ((i am making up words bc why not)).
we are holding so much and staying hopeful. today i want you to hear that time is abundant and the pace of the world will not sweep over your steadfast knowing. we cannot be budged when we know where we are planted. i pray you feel your beautiful roots. that you continue to rest in your stunning intuition.
i love you and i hope you know how special you are.
xoxo kb.
asking yourself what you need is half the knowing in homecoming season. being able meet the need with a cold glass of water, prayer, a walk, meditation, a slow morning, a hot tea, or even a good cry… that’s the momentum in the coming back to ourselves. what you do with all your “one more minutes” is the building site for a stronger, more in tune version of you. snuggle in and let’s talk mornings, nighttime, minutes in between, life abundant. you aren’t ever alone and Homecoming is a season that can last as long as we need it to last. the minutes beyond one more matter most and so do you.
i love you. too much. forever

the road to yourself is composed of so many aspects of health and healing. we sit down with sara macmillan PT, DPT to talk about all things pelvic floor and the proper way to take great care of our female bodies. from breathing, timing out, walking, kegel like a jellyfish, this very much a case of “started from the bottom now we’re here”. sara is one of my favorite heartbeats and instrumental in my postpartum recovery. get in and get cozy with us while we rebuild muscles and confidence from the ground up. you matter. your body matters. and quite honestly, not peeing your pants does too.
i love you. too much. forever

one more minute
a really tender and vulnerable time with you. this one is a leap of faith and of hope. it’s left me with a nervous // anxious // too much kind of belly which is exactly how i know it needs to live and have breath out in the wide world. i need you to know that you are really loved. i mean that. it gets lonely out there. it gets heavy and unbearable sometimes. i was there. that place of shallow breathing and surrounding weight of dark getting darker. i am here to tell you it will not stay this way. i know some of you won’t believe me. but i just need you to really try. it. will. not. stay. this. way.
slowly light will come. slowly it will lift. please lean in and please look up. you are needed in this story. and there is something you cannot, in wildest imagination, predict about your future. you can’t even brainstorm the way things will shift for the better.
as i type this i am 5 million minutes, 3 babies earth-side, one baby in Heaven, one husband, one decade, heartbreak, healing in the bank on the other side of the darkest minutes of my life. those sweeps of dark still come but i remind myself i have made it a million times over and i will make it still.
please promise me you will spend 40 minutes with me and one more minute after, and another, and another. slowly your minutes and breaths will begin to add up to life abundant. all of your darkest parts can’t exist when there is even a sliver of light. your dark makes you human and your humanness is exactly why i love doing life along side you.
if you or someone you know struggles with depression, please reach out to a lifeline by way of prayer, therapist, trusted // safe heartbeats in your circle. the national suicide direct line is 988. this is not over.
the world needs you. we need you. all of us. i love you. all of your dark parts. too much. forever. xoxo ::: kb.
freeze. the busy girl’s guide to taking a minute
grandmother wisdom passed down, the ultimate non rush. the sweet time out to sort, honor, and proceed in your own pace.
sometimes the best thing we can do is nothing at all. what a precious reminder in a hurried society. to freeze. to be still. a real movement in emotional climate change. i love your warm hearts and your frozen moments of clarity.
i love you. too much. forever

i think in life and home there is so much to be treasured and loved and sought after- the secret is just finding rhythm. it’s about taking good care of your heartbeat and learning homes can have heartbeats too. what is good for your soul doesn’t always match everyone else. i offer a perspective of finding a sweet cadence for both. for introspective dives into what makes you tick. stay the course. learn yourself, you are a habitat all its own.
i love you. too much. forever xoxo ::: kb.
not-so-current events...
i poured a little piece of my heart out about life, liberty, and the pursuit of gold medals. a few thoughts about things swirling in our world and my world that carry over, like most does, into all areas of our lives. honest matters of the heart. i’ll give myself a bronze in parenting just in case you were wondering. get in here and let’s do some not so current events but definitely current feelings.
i love you. too much. forever. xoxo ::: kb.
this is more than ballet flats and burgundy bags … a minute to close out the world and maybe close toe too. to know yourself and what you love is one of the greatest gifts. together we can tune in and up and sort our own september issues.
i love you. too much. forever.
xoxo. kb.
a journey to yourself. a deeper learning of obedience to your beautiful intuition. this homecoming season is about returning to home...to yourself. slow to respond. slow to absorb. living slow. coming home to you has never been more stunning.
i love you. too much. forever.
xoxo. kb.
oh i love a little time with yall so much! welcome to season five! it's our "homecoming season." in the wild world of fast pace i am planting us here in homecoming. a frame of mind and of heart. a place where we can attempt to sharpen discernment and return back to valuing the most rare treasure of it all, our intuition. our knowing. our trust in ourselves. you are so stunning and so radiant and so so brilliant. this season is more fun, more vulnerable, more honest than ever. thank you for being here. thank you for always showing up. thank you for making a place for me. i am so honored to be next to you.
::: DEAR MAMA SERIES
the honor. a few months ago i sat down inside a cozy, silent studio space at Edgehill Music Publishing with the other half of kb x kb, kristen blake. in our industry you know her has a talented itty bit that floats through wardrobe racks in her size nothing ballerina feet. pulling clothes and strings and landing impossible gets with her tight and trusted network of style superheroes near and far.
in my world i know her has a really special and intentional mama, gigi, daughter, friend. over the years i have been blessed to get to know and create with kristen. we’ve spent a lot of hours purging both sides of the brust closet and all corners of our hearts. collaborating and ordering dinners and creating space for new ideas + new hangers. stories and tears and giggles surrounded in all the textures of loss, life, tulle and satin.
today’s Dear Mama episode of In Kristen We Brust is to honor a story that is not mine to tell. a twenty year anniversary of sorts that is powerful and the definition of motherhood. a really tender and beautiful collection of years and heartbeats that have waited to have a place to tuck in and feel safe. a story i have been privileged and trusted with knowing and now… sharing. i am beyond grateful for the raw, delicate way my best friend showed up in my life. today i am beyond grateful for the way she will show up in your’s.
kb- thank you for trusting me to be the one to give your story and your girls life in airwaves. twenty years of holding and healing. of floating and now landing in hearts beyond your own. you and madeline have lived so eloquently inside of this story for two decades. i am so proud of the people and mamas you are. this is beautiful and your angel girl is beaming.
come snuggle in with me while we take the lids off our lives and breathe some air into the dreams and plans that we have shelved. a little chit chat about the road back to you with your road trip buddy riding shotgun. i love you too much. xoxo kb
whew. safe harbors. pockets of comfortably settling into a season of deep knowing. we, as a village, are finding some places that by definition provide protection. refuge. comfort. ::: safe harbors
as we press in we understand the rarity and absolute sanctity of these people. we also learn that creating safety starts with communication. trusting ourselves to know what we know. to listen to what God has for us. to know we are a harbor in ourselves.
i love you. too much. like more than a lighthouse. yep. that much.
xoxo :::kb
moving into love month. ahhhhh. a deep breath and a little arm's length. we kick off this month taking freedom filled breaths and deciding what we want in our orbit. a spirit of already having enough as we are - that sweet spot feeling of CHOOSING to bring into the inner circle. rest for a minute in the knowing. we are really existing in a powerful energy, we just need our noise canceling headphones for the swirling pieces of untruth trying to take our peaceful power. put those on after this chat ok? i am so proud to walk this world with you. i love you. too much. forever. :::kb.
oh me say goodbye to you? no chance! but the farewell party has started for all of us. it’s time to give ourselves permission to find and hold the things that keep any part of us captive. and then like a high school break up, we will tell those parts “it’s not you, it’s me” and we will start the freedom phase of living. and until we nail it, we will keep revisiting. so, get in here. i’ve got some things i need to tell you about me and where i pray this freedom phase takes us all.
i love you. too much. forever. xoxo :::kb.
...and happy friend•iversary to us! if i wished a thousand wishes, 999 of them would be about how this community would continue to grow and feel like full on love. FOUR FULL LIFE FILLED YEARS TOGETHER YALL!
after i talk birthday•ing ((yes i make up words way too often)), i have a little message about the slow + go of a new year. slow to make resolutions, quicker to make healthy habits, prayerful steps of light and more light.
we are widening our hearts and visions this year, sweet friends. so much beautiful time ahead. twenty twenty FOUR is our year -duh. i love you. too much forever. xoxo ::: kb.
live from my sofa, curled up next to my supermodel of a christmas tree, a heartfelt episode from me to you.
“help is on the way dear!” - the doubtfire moment i have been waiting for! oh it’s everything. in the internal inventory of the Great November Purge i found myself way too honest about how i cannot do mama, podcast, homeschool, baby life without help. a really vulnerable moment for the girl who has done it for eight full years without family or help. so here we are, snuggled in the end of the purge and into a season of PEACE. sweet, still peace of hope and newness. have a seat and let’s catch up on the plans for this community and for my own house!
i love you. too much. yep… forever. xoxo :::kb.
it’s the most wonderful time of the year at iKwB! the Great November purge is upon us! ahhhh the sweet sound of garbage bags full of donations and silenced cell phones. November around here means decluttering every nook and corner of homes and hearts. so come get cozy and motivated. it takes a village to simplify …and it takes two months to gear up for a new year. your pep rally is here! i love you. too much. forever. xoxo :::kb.
friends we are living on a prayer and a few lighter topics this week. you know when you get a new love and you feel so just floaty… that’s how i have felt about y’all and what we are up to. this week we take time to focus and recenter. to fully know what we need and digest information slower. to anchor. to feel love and protected. not just in morning still but also in times of chaos. so snuggle up and qualify the ones that get to notify you. you are way too loved to be worn out. i am prayer walking y’all every second.
i love you. too much. forever. xoxo :::kb.
as we wrap up our two part Good Grief mini series, i just need you know how deeply loved you are. all the heartbeats, here and Heaven, including me really think you are amazing. this life ((and this death)) is a lot on us friends but there is some slices of true love and connection to be made. let’s snuggle in and be honest and a little hopeful. a special return guest stops in to say “hi” and i share the last of my little bits around what Heaven takes. thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting my lost loved ones live here in this space with us. i love you. too much. forever. xoxo :::kb.
whew. a big ol heartfelt episode. hear me out, grief is a gift of ultimate learning and perspective. it’s unreal pain and growth all at once. it’s the gauntlet of human emotions. loss of love, someone, the idea of someone, it’s all in here. mourning. this is part one of a two part ((maybe three)) walk through the hard, hard, hard stuff. loss. i am right here with you. especially in the valleys. stay with me, i have learned so much on this walk and i hope i can come along side you and really make you feel seen and loved and held. i love you. too much. forever. xoxo :::kb.
living now. easier said than done. staying present. easier said than done. friends, i firmly believe quiet minds produce really meaningful lives. we have to go slow. we can’t give into all the noise and all the madness- AND we. have. to. keep each other afloat. our world is wired to make us want more, bigger, better, more post•able. the reality of what is beautiful in life isn’t on a screen at all. it’s the air, the breath, the hugs. what’s beautiful in life is actually the person reading this. get in here. let me love you. and let me remind you ((and me)) a little bit about what is true… living now. i love you. too much. forever. xoxo :::kb.
hi. i’ve missed you so much! too much really. ikwb is back. i’ve been living slow and intentional. and with every breath and tiny movement forward, i always find this need to just sit with you. you are like air to me. i love when we can be together. talk about what’s real and what’s pretty and sometimes what’s not pretty too. you matter so much to me. thank you for your grace and love and steadfastness. you are absolute necessities to my heart. now, let’s dive in, catch up, laugh off a few things, and settle into living now in the good old days. i love you. too much. forever.
xoxo :::kb.
new year new you? nah girl. slow down. we aren’t rushing through creating a vision for the year especially after we just iced our backs from nonstop hosting and gift wrapping.
no yearly business plan is made in 5 days. january 1 means you have a slow start to a new year. i invite you to enter your year with intention and not barbells with this podcast pep rally for 2023 ((also maybe barbells if you want)). a few tips for organizing your thoughts and heart around a new year and a little booty shake because in Kristen we Brust is THREE whole years old! i am so thankful for your hearts. now get in here and let me love you too much!

hi.
homecoming. the word of my current season. a return to myself. slow. steady. crunchy leaf hearted. a series of God gifted moments has reminded me that reintroduction is more critical that reinvention sometimes. sometimes the parts we pray we have are the parts we already have. we just need silence and time to dust them off.
listening is just as important as talking. how much do you listen to your sweet soul rhythm? what does it tell you? what do you love? how do you love?
you matter. your heart matters. your calling, your breath, your quiet world. it all matters so much.
i love you. excessively.
“the words you share become the house you live in”
let’s hold each other in seasons of change and graciously assume the most of each other and ourselves. onward. one dusted off breath at a time. welcome home, you crazy beautiful human you!

God bless you Uvalde, Texas and every heartbeat Heaven gained from you this week.
whew. a heavy and layered world. grieving, learning, rerouting, grieving some more. learning to navigate, oh and then learning to navigate the navigation.
are. we. tired. or. what.
grab every single one of your feelings, come in and curl up. let’s just sit. it’s ok to not be ok. and even if that’s as much as we know, we have a place to start.
stay safe. stay compassionate. stay connected. pinky swear ok? ok. i love you. too much. xoxo.
it’s a week so soak in the Holy Hope.
it’s the phrase around iKwB headquarters this week:::
“sorry i can’t. it’s Holy week.”
a week without rush or any extra “yes”. a week to dig in the garden dirt, boil eggs, hunt down butter lambs ((iykyk)). a week to create a Holy feast menu. a week to rest in traditions and sacredness of the ones before us. a week to plant hope in your tired heart because we have the ultimate gift of knowing how this week ends ((or doesn’t end and never will)), for He is Risen indeed.
the gift our weary world is thirsting for :::
hope + redemption + life.
a week to anchor in your heartbeats. rejoicing in the heartbeat that gave it all for us. abundance given, life taken.
which came first the the chicken or the swipe up?
we are working in reverse because yall loved the abundant truth in “over overconsumption”. so why do we over consume? let’s dig into learning your style, learning your body, trusting your beautiful gut. your gut is a gift. yes ma’am // sir! you heard me. that gut, whether its decked in abs or carrying a few extra lbs, it’s freaking beautiful. and the way you nurture your discernment and your body matters. so let’s dig in and let’s dig out. i’ve got you boo. from morning still to bedtime madness. let’s simplify your closet, your core. less is the new black forever.
the world wants us to consume more. calories, products, feelings. we are taking back our peace with solid no’s, less swipes, and food on actual plates. yes. putting food on a plate matters. over consuming is tricky and easy. now get in here and let’s teamwork. declutter your soul, belly, closet ::: gain all the clarity.
get in here and let’s chat about how we are going to baby step ourselves back to the way we’ve been created••• bold. new steps all in caps lock and big, bold knowing. a big, bold confidence. you deserve to live it all so well and so strong. let me word hug you. xoxo
so much shame and guilt we carry while we navigate life being human. it’s time to pick up some of your own baggage and really decide if it’s serving you well ::: my guess is “nah boo”. so let’s start taking those dark times and giving them a brick shape. start paving your way with those bricks, those times that brought you to who you are today. that walk is about ownership + forgiveness. for no one else but you. so start here. with me and let’s talk about beautiful you.
to every One of you. to my “dallas mama” Pammy. for your steadfast caretaking and true love. for walking with me. for your mama•ness for me. in every single chapter. but especially in this loss. for teaching me immeasurable real love. for our “tutu”, Julie. your midnight drives, endless tear collecting, and taco bell platters. for all the things. for all the years but especially 2017. loveship. for my bf, jana that stood in dark with me trying to shed light. your brave sharing gave my baby a life here even without ever taking a breath earth side. for life boo boo. for life. for my momo // auntie momo, monica. that paid way too much to get to me on a last minute plane. weathering out the “wait to lose”. to wear matching shoes and be the most fun human while i stayed in the fog. and mostly for my sweet Baby Lion. you have changed me. you have unearthed things in me from heaven i could have never known. ’m unafraid because of you. until our someday my sweet One. 1//17//17 for these pillars of my story and to every pillar of yours. for your brave love and brave bodies. for your hearts, here and heaven. One in three women suffer loss in miscarriage. i am One. i love yall too much. xoxo :::kb.
Volume doesn’t mean truth. Opinions are the new virus ••• the noise is at all time high and popular people suddenly got magical expert powers—plus you’ve got discerning to do over your family, workload, health. Lord hear our prayers. Let's turn down alllllll the volume, and let’s talk real about the house party noise level that is 2020.
We’ve got more choices and more freedoms than we know. And it all starts with who gets muted. You aren’t alone, boo boo. Get in here. Let’s find some truth. xoxo ::: kb.
The world is messy and our pasts and our hair is too but guess what? You are promised a new morning, a new start, and a hairbrush anytime you need one, sis. It all starts with that beautiful gut of yours. I’m not talking the lbs COVID brought. I’m talking that brilliant intuition of yours. That strong striking discernment that will help you gain balance and healing beyond your dreams.
Get in here. Cozy up. Let’s talk about it all. You are more than the holes you hold tight to. And I’m going to love you through it all. xoxo kb
Hands in on three y’all! We are going to make it. No for real. I promise. I’m taking a minute to talk the real about darkness of depression, that sneaky little sucker, and how to take back the hope with superhero strength. It can be done because we are not finished here friends. Only getting started. Stay strong. Stay real. Stay real strong. ilysm. xoxo kb
A heart to heart with one of my very best friends. Two of the OG wheat field dancers ((story in episode)) talk joy, harvest, and life abundant. We share the frustration of failed harvest and the secret gifts of bum crops. We also share stories from the baby delivery room and clogging. If you ever what sums up our friendship::: it’s that. delivery rooms and clogging. Laney is a mama, a wife, and a genuine daughter of our King. Also the most hilarious human. We like our chats with extra gluten, our bread without.
Peace. Love. Wheat.
Pattern lovers anonymous captain here! A PSA for the people ::: patterns belong on wardrobe and not on your relationships. It’s the time to surf your inner workings to identify what no longer serves you. So while patterns are totally acceptable on your throw pillows, trenches, and scarves, they are not welcome in your spiral moments of self doubt. Your old pattens are so last season. Hop in. Dig deep. Find something that fits. You owe you, boo.
Y’all know it’s real real when there are tears and Akon in one episode ••• It’s an hour of three friends in open chick chat. A deep dive into a safe space where we talk intentional next steps, filing a missing person report for the old us, and why the new version is enlightened and able. The world is reinventing itself. You can too. Also, smack that.
xoxo.
Checking facts and saving brands. Your brand, their brand, the world brand. Changing the world and gut checking. It’s a safe place here, but it’s a big space on purpose. We’ve got to work inside of it. A space where we look in before we act out. Be the change, make the change. Get in here. But don’t forget your sugar, sugar!
It’s our kick start to alignment starting with a deep dive into your vision. A dream seed planted you are dying to water, digging up and replanting hope, and learning your reinvention starts today. It may sound like a cheesy self help rally in a hotel ballroom, but I assure you it’s a safe spot, and, well, cry with me please so I’m less alone. Ok? Ok. Let’s live limitless and without expiration. I’m feeling it, y’all.
Are you ready or not?
Your right to stay closed is always your right. Your right to “not”. Your right to be ready. We talk about how grounded we’ve become in our being “socially grounded”.
As always, I encourage you to follow your gut. You know when and how and if and yes and no thank you. Trust that you’ve fed that with times of still and laser focus. Times to dwell in your gut feelings ((or God’s urge)). You are allowed to venture out. You are allowed to stay in. Allowed to feel like home is sacred now is ok. Do not mask your emotions. Only your face. As the world opens, do you?
This little wonder was my very favorite co-host ever. She also spilled the beans on all my non-highlight mamahood fails ::: awesome. She included a tale of “salt legend ate from under the sink” ((also known as a cascade pod)). True failure and raw real words straight from the 32 pounder herself.
For four years I’ve said I want to be Love when I grow up. In this episode I’m reminded of exactly why.
Fearless. Full. Hysterical. Welcome to my life and the long promised WWLD episode. What Would Love Do? she // it would do so much for the world.
Guess who’s back. Back again. KB is back. Tell yo friends. This week has tricks & treats for putting on your rally caps on. IJN3 + living life in less extremes while navigating, well ... extremes. Thanks for pulling me out of the valley. You are special. Time to rally. xoxo KB.
This week pinpointing the emotion is a lot like pinpointing the craving ::: can’t be done so just eat it all? Kidding kind of. The feelings are hard to lock down. So I’m feeling ((and eating)) it all. I basically told my son he’d have his day in court. Not proud. Just real. And I answered a few of your questions which was way fun. So grab your styrofoam cups and your best cardigan. Get in here you sweet things. Let’s grow old together.
Greetings from the leader of the alabaster Kardashian cartel. I’m exhausted. Maybe too tired to be scared is a good thing. Maybe a Holy Week is the perfect time to remember why it’s good to rest and resurrect. Get in here. Learn the sixth love language. Let’s cuddle up and be honest.
As social distancing moves to sheltering in place and the “task” turns into the new normal. The thin patience and the anxiety of navigating newness in our own humanness. We are talking the infectious anxiety of the infection. We are talking carving out something sacred in something scary. And we are talking help. I know I’m allergic to it too. Oh, by “we” I mean “I” bc I’m hunkered. Come on in and cozy up, buttercups.
In this episode we talk about contagious hope. About the uncertainty and the living in the middle. These are crazy times to navigate on so many levels. Let’s curl up and get through this together. The solidarity in the pandemic is beautiful if we allow the space for it. Also i suck at accents. So love me through this one please. Ok? Ok.
Social distancing. The one thing I’m actually an expert in. #thatSAHMlife y’all.
And bc of my recovering OCD, I’m also passionate about hand washing. So here we are. Some changes yes, like my husband being home. Suddenly everyone is a stay at home mom. Including husbands and well, everyone. It’s an adjustment.
As with anything toxic in our lives, time & space is needed. And if we are being honest ::: a good scrubbing. So don’t let fear reign. Warm water. Good soap. Sing happy birthday twice. Then get in here.
But also stay 6ft away. Ok? Ok. ilysm.
We tuck in our Mean Girls series with valuable advice, prayer and some tears. real, real, real talk. You are SO LOVED. And I don’t commission from you being a Christian so come on in. Amy Green, LCSW, IMH-E, PMH-C, is the Founder & Executive Director of The Rooted Bridge and Owner & Founder of Nashville Collaborative Counseling Center sets us up for life in love, lived well, fully.
We are all searching for love, acceptance, companionship. Even Regina George.
Amy Green, LCSW, IMH-E, PMH-C, is the Founder & Executive Director of The Rooted Bridge and Owner & Founder of Nashville Collaborative Counseling Center. Amy joins us to chat boundaries, parenting well through current childhood influences, what’s at the heart of the mean girl turmoil. Bullies don’t stand a chance because this episode peels back the layers and makes room for Regina ::: with appropriate boundaries of course.
You remember your first. You remember your last. It’s time we talk openly about mean girls ((&boys)). It’s time Regina George moves into recovery. It’s time. Snuggle up. Get honest. Get kind. xx kb
It’s been a minute and well, we just need a solid deep look into each other’s eyes so here we are. Our fifth date. The one where we talk what really makes us who we are. The one where you decide if you still want to date me. The one when you snuggled up with me spilling my emotional beans. Thanks for being here and thanks for giving a girl with a big fat dream, a big fat chance.
xx kb.
Life is short. Your time is valuable. Tags are endless. IG stories are not always for real. Let's promise each other to stay insta-honest. Thanks for following along. I know you have got a choice, and I love you here. But #really. Screens down. Pinkies up. Cheers to a cleaner social media life!
If you are feeling lost in chaos. If it feels noisy and it’s felt lonely, I’m going to need you to fire up this episode ::: like now. It’s time to soak in the gifts of time, friendship, and love. And maybe it’s a time of refinement in what that means to you. Weed out the Regina Georges. Get out of Target. Meet Amanda.
Dedicated to the independent girls, this is a real REAL chat. Marriage is tough, but could we be the hard part? Yikes, I know but also ::: maybe. Insert nervous face. Vulnerability, yep the V-word, can be our biggest ((& scarcest)) tool to better relationships. If you are a tough cookie, we’ve created a space and a plan for you. Get in here girl!
The rebuilding of life after heartbreak. What seems like an implosion of heart and trust, slowly builds into the promise of light and the depth of friendship. All while learning about what happy, happy hour truly is. The come back of well, a decade. Meet my Taylor. My sister that found herself more herself after the promise of a ring lost its promise. Are you the next #taylor365? I can promise you are.
Every piece of this project is done with the greatest of intention. Every word. Every note. Every heart. The heartbeats behind the theme beats are two of the rarest and best. True girls girls. A real who-run-the-world dream team.
The theme song was written by Leah Turner and Jessica Cayne. Leah, “sissy,” is my soul on fire and the epitome of God gifting sisters by grace and less by blood. Our family tree is rooted in the realest of life. Jessica is a fellow Capricorn, and the two created an "empire state of mind" vibe that makes me feel like this space is a headquarters.
