A formal legal demand letter had been sent to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) over its upcoming “Nakba” exhibit, “Palestine Uprooted: Nakba Past and Present.” There are broad concerns that the exhibit promotes a one-sided, historically inaccurate Palestinian Arab narrative that delegitimizes Israel, erases Jewish history, and risks inciting antisemitism. Even incitement to violence with slogans by some of its proponents to eliminate the Zionist disease. It calls on the museum to pause the exhibit, ensure balance, and comply with its mandate as a publicly funded human rights institution. Don James is CEO of Bridges for Peace Canada, in Winnipeg – the epicenter of this threat – and explains what happened and what needs to happen.

"For Zion's Sake: A Catholic Appeal in Support of Israel" is a passionate declaration by faithful Catholics countering the rising anti-Israel sentiment within Catholic circles, especially since the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack. As the war against the Islamic Republic of Iran is into its second week, closure of airspace has stranded many both inside and outside Israel. Rescue flights of Israelis have begun, bringing home thousands a day, but estimates are that 100,000 or more are stranded overseas. Many tourists in Israel and Israelis with business overseas have left via the Taba crossing, but many are still stuck. What’s it like for Americans who are not used to the realities of war being in Israel when the war began with missiles, rockets and drones raining down on Israel, daily, several or more times a day, sending people to bomb shelters at all hours? For many readers and theologians, the Old and New Testaments (Tanach and the Christian bible) feel disconnected. It’s something that has been an element driving replacement theology. They may be full of inspiration and meaning, but viewed as parallel, and often unrelated. Or, for some, the original replaced by and no longer significant. The writers of the New Testament were all observant Jews so many hints and references in their writing have clear connection to the Tanach which was the only bible they new and studied. The Echoes Bible is a new project, based on the realization that below the surface, careful investigation reveals when you read them side by side, the begin to hear “echoes” from the Old to the New. Recently, the “Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem” issued a joint statement explicitly condemning Christian Zionism as a harmful and damaging ideology. Their statement accuses local individuals who promote it of misleading public opinion, sowing confusion, and undermining the unity of the Church. The statement further states, “The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches further note with concern that these individuals have been welcomed at official levels both locally and internationally.” It's ironic that days earlier, Christian leaders throughout Israel were welcomed and celebrated by Israel’s head of state, President Herzog, at the President’s residence, hosted with honor and respect. Does this statement poke the president in the eye, and undermine the very existence of the State of Israel? Is Christian Zionism harmful and damaging? What is the theological basis of such a declaration? Why are there so many Christians who embrace Zionism, from the 19th century? Why was the statement issued now, and who is behind it? What does it mean that Zionism was singled out as problematic, but Israel was not mentioned once?

Every year around Christmas, Palestinian Arabs, the Palestinian Authority, and other detractors of Israel use the Christmas season to promote lies of Jesus being a Palestinian, the first Palestinian, a Palestinian martyr, and other tropes that are baseless historically and according to Christianity. These tropes not only undermine the fact that Jesus was a First Century Jew and Jewish history, but undermine the very underpinnings of Christianity. This year, two years into the ongoing war that started October 7, where the war on truth is no less a problem. The memorial for Charlie Kirk has been described as one of the most powerful and uplifting spiritual events this century, paying proper tribute to a giant of a man cut down in the prime of his life. There were and are many reasons to celebrate Charlie Kirk’s life and legacy, one which we pray will continue to inspire generations. One thing that raised eyebrows and has made waves were remarks by Tucker Carlson, seen by many as fomenting antisemitic tropes. Many have raised their concern and voices with many nodding in agreement. Many others are scratching their heads and do not understand why. Was this isolated, or a trend by Tucker to make comments that can be seen as antisemitic, and host those who are openly antisemitic. It's important to ask these questions and have a dialogue about it, especially in the spirit of Charlie Kirk’s own brave and unyielding model to dialogue about anything, with anyone, any time.

It was an historic day in Israel, a day of euphoria and celebration, that these Christian friends got to experience in person. All the living hostages were released by Hamas and returned to Israel from which they were kidnapped two years ago. The bodies of 28 remaining hostages, most of whom were killed in captivity, are starting to be released. But Hamas is still standing, threatening Israelis and Gazans. 2000 terrorists are being released, 250 of whom are serving one to as many as dozens of life sentences. The victims and family members of these terrorists are scarred. Israelis know that 82% of previous terrorists released have gone back to terror. At the same time, President Trump arrived in Israel and pledged his support and optimism for Israel’s future and the region on the whole. Live this experience through their eyes and ears.

In June, 2025, 40 young Christian women from America, took a trip of a lifetime to Israel. For most, it was their first time in Israel, but for few of them Israel was not already significant to them personally and specifically as Christians. They visited biblical sites, sites related to modern Israeli history, and memorials along the Gaza border where the sounds of war echoed as they witnessed the aftermath of the Hamas massacre on October 7, 2023. They also had many personal encounters with Israelis, making the experience more real, connecting people and faces and their stories to life in Israel today. Some of the best Kodak moments are ones you cannot film. We just came back from hosting a beautiful bar-b-que for pilots and crew who participated in the recent Operation Rising Lion, offering our thanks to them for protecting us, but they could not stop thanking us. The war against Hamas never really ended even though there was a temporary cease fire that did end at the beginning of the month, but active combat has surely begun again. Jordan’s King Abdullah II just visited Washington to meet with President Trump. All eyes are on Jordan as it harbors a convicted terrorist, Ahlam Tamimi, who was sentenced to prison after masterminding the 2001 bombing of the Sbarro pizzeria in Jerusalem. Tamimi was released from Israeli prison to her native Jordan as part of the deal to free captured Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit. She has been roaming free since. On October 7, 2023, Kibbutz Beeri was one of the Israeli Gaza border communities attacked by Hamas terrorists, suffering more than 100 murdered, and dozens kidnapped. Yair Rotem was home alone that day, taking shelter in his safe room that's meant for protection against bombs, not terrorists shooting and burning entire houses to the ground. As he sat in his shelter, he was texting with his sister, the last communication from whom was that she, his niece, and her friend had been kidnapped. As we approach one year since that horrible day, we share this story of survival personally, and that of the entire community.

On October 7, 2023, Rachel Goldberg’s life changed forever when she learned that her 23 year old son, Hersh Goldberg-Polin had been kidnapped by Hamas and was held hostage in Gaza. Last month, Rachel and her husband Jon were invited to speak at the Democratic National Convention. This week, Hersh and five other Israeli hostages were executed by Hamas terrorists, and Hersh’s body was recovered and buried in Jerusalem. Dr. David Nehring is a friend and asked one day, how I was doing and could he help. I don’t talk openly about my feelings and stresses dealing with the war in Israel, nor do I hide these. In the aftermath of the war that’s far from over, some of the most long term trauma will be felt by children and their parents. As parents, it’s our job to protect our children but in war, and when your community is bombarded by rockets and overrun by terrorists, the trauma for parents not being able to protect their children and for the children is many times greater. This is all the more for children classified as “at-risk” who come from homes where their parents don’t provide the safest environment. For the past three months, Israel has been embroiled in a domestic conflict regarding proposed judicial reforms that’s led to regular protests of hundreds of thousands, deepening divisions and polarization between those loosely called pro and anti-reformers, and even among members of the government. Protests became nationwide strikes, leading to a backtracking by the government, and new negotiations are taking place to try to approach the issues with civility and consensus. Overseas one hears about the “fascists” and the “anarchists” in simplistic ways to depict a conflict that’s created deep division, with international voices concerned for the well-being of Israeli democracy. Join Arnie Draiman, Rolene Marks, and Erica Schachne as we unpack the issues and try to create understanding about the nature of the reforms, motivation behind them, how we got here, and where Israel might go, or needs to go to repair the divide and move forward.
News of proposed legislation in Israel set off a storm recently with implications that, in some way, Israel might be outlawing Christians from practicing or sharing their faith. Distressed Christians around the world engaged their Jewish friends in Israel seeking clarification. Jews openly debated the parameters of efforts to convert Jews to Christianity or another faith, specifically in Israel as the Jewish state, and freedom of worship and expressing one’s beliefs. While the bill primarily intended to address efforts to proselytize members of one faith to another, and specifically did single out Christians, because of how vague the text of the bill was, it could have gone further. The bill was killed, but bad feelings and deep seeded issues remain. Clarity and understanding are needed. Among the many unique aspects of Israeli life are the army. Of course the army provided defense, but it’s also a great and highly respected pillar of Israeli society. Most Israelis are obliged to do military service which makes the army a great national equalizer, bringing together people of all backgrounds for a common purpose. Yet unique within the IDF is a phenomena known as “lone soldiers.” These are young men and women from overseas who come to Israel to volunteer in the IDF, taking ownership of a piece of the national responsibility of all Jews for the State of Israel. On December 18, 2010, Kristine Luken was murdered by Arab terrorists in Israel. She died among the people she loved, in the Land that she cherished. In December 1944, Master Sergeant Roddie Edmonds was captured after the bloody Battle of the Bulge, and taken to an infamous Nazi POW camp. Living under unspeakable conditions, simply surviving the winter was not to be taken for granted. Despite the conditions, Edmonds literally stood up to his Nazi captors, risking his own life during the final days of World War II to save Jewish soldiers under his command. For that, years later, he was officially recognized by Israel as a Righteous Gentile. Here’s his story.

The Jewish people are known as the “People of the Book” because God revealed Himself to Abraham and established a covenant with his descendants through Isaac and Jacob, recorded in the Book of Books. What’s it like to be the largest English publisher of Jewish books of all kinds in Israel and how is this as much a mission from God as it is a family business, if not more?

In 2001, the UN convened a world conference on racism in Durban, South Africa. It was quickly hijacked and became an international forum to call out Israel and only Israel, propagate the idea that Israel is an apartheid state, and a foundation of the BDS movement to delegitimize Israel’s existence. Next week, the UN will convene a 20th anniversary event at which Israel will continue to be blamed to the exception of actually combatting racism. What’s behind this and why are allegations not only not true, but deeply offensive?

“Til Kingdom Come” is a new Israeli documentary that was ostensibly produced to share about the blessing to Israel of support from Christians. It turned out to be a gross misrepresentation of what that support is about, at best capturing a snapshot of the phenomena of Christian support for Israel at a single point in time with just that image being depicted as the reality of all Christian support for Israel.
