A Documentary Film By: Dan Habib
Narrator: Academy Award-winning actor Chris Cooper.

What does it mean to be intelligent? What is the value of an IQ test?
What is equality?

Equality is about ensuring that every individual has an equal opportunity to make the most of their lives and talents.

Sustainable development starts with safe, healthy and well-educated children. A call to action to put children at the centre of sustainable development

I believe this film, Intelligent Lives fits exactly that.

Antonio Saillant Interview with Director Megumi Sasaki

Because of the nature of the topic I added this to all my Rock It Green Radio Platforms. http://rockitgreen.com

But it's a production of Celebrity Spotlight Radio.

A WHALE OF A TALE
Taiji became the go-to destination and battleground for activists from around the world.

FINE LINE MEDIA PRESENTS

A WHALE OF A TALE

In 2010, Taiji, a sleepy fishing town in Japan, suddenly found itself in the worldwide media spotlight. THE COVE, a documentary denouncing the town’s longstanding whale and dolphin hunting traditions, won an Academy Award and almost overnight, Taiji became the go-to destination and battleground for activists from around the world.

Can a proud 400-year-old whaling tradition survive a tsunami of modern animal-rights activism and colliding forces of globalism vs. localism?

A WHALE OF A TALE reveals the complex story behind the ongoing debate. Told through a wide range of characters including local fishermen, international activists and an American journalist (and long time Japanese resident), this powerful documentary unearths a deep divide in eastern and western thought about nature and wildlife and cultural sensitivity in the face of global activism.

A WHALE OF A TALE will open theatrically in New York on Friday, August 17 (The Quad) and Los Angeles on Friday, August 24 (Laemmle Music Hall) with a nationwide release to follow.

Imagine growing fresh fruit and vegetables in your RV, Apartment or Home - organic and relatively easy to do. Scott Massey has invented a compact hydro-grow system that is fully automatic and cost-effective. Although the United States is one of the most efficient countries in the world in agriculture, it has an astounding resource cost; 10% of the nation’s total energy budget, 50% of its land, and 80% of all U.S. freshwater consumption. This cost comes with little benefit, as most produce is often times a week old by the time it is on display in a grocery store causing Americans to throw away 40% of all produce they buy. Hydro Grow's patent pending design solves this dilemma by growing organic plants two to three times faster than traditional farming methods within a user's home. This means that the three months a farmer would spend growing a head of spinach could be achieved in three weeks consistently, throughout the year using 95% less water. This would add an additional week of shelf life to the produce by growing it locally within the user's home. The user could leave the crops alive in the system until the moment they want to eat it, ensuring maximum freshness. For more information http://www.hydrogrow.site

Antonio Saillant and Richard Solomon discuss with CEO Chris Moorman of Rubicon Agriculture, an Indiana-based agricultural manufacturing company whose flagship product, the AgroBox, an automated hydroponic growing facility built inside of an upcycled 40' shipping container. By combining state of the art manufacturing controls automation to the growing process, Rubicon has designed a climate controlled manufacturing facility capable of growing nutritious, hyperlocal produce year-round in the neighborhoods where it is consumed, independent of the vagaries of the weather. In a US fresh produce system that gets more than 50% of all produce and 82% of all fresh greens from a systemically water deficient California, this is an industry trend combining with a climate trend, and Rubicon Ag stands ready to take advantage.

Rock It Green Radio will kick off with Amy Greeson, Healing Seekers’ The Medicine Hunter,Founder and Executive Director with Antonio Saillant and co-hosts Richard Solomon and Susan Sachs [www.susansachsacupuncture.com]. Many of us don’t realize how modern medicine is closely joined with traditional healing practices in remote communities . Amy Greeson began the project in 2006 when she realized that with the destruction of forest and other habitat around the world, we were also potentially losing countless species of plants and animals which had much to offer humanity by way of medical cures and solutions. So she began traveling the world with teams of researchers, collecting material from communities, forming partnerships with similar minded organizations and spreading the word about saving threatened places, people and knowledge.
