We all have a story worth sharing, but if you aren't skilled or prioritizing connecting to people on a 1-on-1 level, your message might be missed.
Tune in to the Human Connection podcast to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and small business owners on how they connect with their audience in their own unique ways.
We'll be talking about pitching for press and media opportunities, social media marketing, online marketing tactics, paid advertising, business tips and more to help you uncover how you can create a better human connection with your audience and the people in your life.

Welcome back to another episode of the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn, founder of the Human Connection Agency, a PR agency that helps you get visible and land prominent media mentions and today’s episode we are talking about consistency and why it matters when you pitch the media.
If you’re brand new to pitching yourself to the media it can be hard to develop the habit of being consistent with your pitching, right?
Doing anything new and unfamiliar can feel like a struggle.
Trying a new workout routine, eating healthier, regularly writing blog posts, drinking more water, routinely recording new podcast episodes...all of those things can feel hard to do when you’re starting a new habit if you aren’t used to it.
But I will share this: when it comes to basically anything in life, if you’re wanting to form a new habit and get into a routine of regularly doing something, you have to be consistent to move forward.
Tune in to find out why consistency matters when it comes to pitching the media.

Hello hello welcome back to the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn and
First of all thank y’all so much for the amazing feedback on my big news from last week!
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, you can head back to last week’s episode titled “my big news.” It’s where I share a huge life change for both my husband and I as we are currently converting a sprinter van into a tiny home!
I know, v. crazy but life is too short and we are excited for this new adventure. Anyways, I gabbed all about that in my solo episode last week but this week is all about my interview with Joe Casabona!
Joe started his career almost 20 years ago as a freelance web developer and has been a team lead, system admin, and was even a faculty member at his alma mater. Podcasting has been the perfect medium for Joe to share his knowledge and build up his peers. He is not only a veteran podcaster but he helps people launch their own podcasts.
When he’s not creating courses for LinkedIn Learning, you can find Joe spending time with his family, enjoying baseball, or talking too much about Star Wars.

Hello hello welcome back to the first podcast episode of 2021 of the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn and I’m so excited you are here listening!
In case you are new around these parts, welcome! I’m a female entrepreneur who runs a PR agency that serves purpose-driven online entrepreneurs.
Our team represents clients across a variety of industries landing them podcast interviews, publication interviews, and tv interviews.
Many people want to work with us because we do the heavy lifting of PR -- we come up with pitch ideas, do the research on the best outlets to reach out to, connect with the journalists/podcast hosts/producers, and land our clients the interview.
But...not everyone is at a place where it makes sense to completely outsource this work. Maybe you aren’t ready to pay an ongoing retainer fee to an agency like ours to do everything for you.
But you are ready to start getting mentioned by the media.
To see your name in prominent publications, to become that go-to expert in your industry.
So, this solo episode is going to share how you can observe what the media is reporting on and how you can come up with those pitch topics for yourself!
Let’s get into it.

Welcome back to another episode of the Human Connection podcast! Today is a solo episode from me and we are talking about creating a 2021 visibility plan that works for you and your goals.
Lots of people have their eyes on 2021. It’s hard not to, right? I think we can collectively agree that 2020 ended up being a year none of us expected. What you had set out to do at the beginning of the year maybe didn’t come to fruition. Plans changed. Maybe drastically, maybe only slightly.
2020 has also been a year of reflection for many of us. It’s caused us to pause, reflect, take note of what’s working, what’s not, who we want to follow and support, and who we don’t, how we want to spend our time and how we don’t want to spend our time.
Tune into this episode to learn how to reflect on 2020, what questions to ask yourself for 2021, and so much more so you can create a visibility plan that feels good for you.

Hey hey, welcome to the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn and today’s episode is all about how to pitch for TV segments!
TV is at an interesting place in time where most interviews are being done remotely -- which means you can pitch to a ton of different markets (locations) across the U.S. instead of having to physically be in studio for the interview.
Doing tv interviews not only increases your credibility as an expert in your industry but it can also help you pitch to national tv as well as help build your speaking career and so much more.
During this solo episode you’ll learn everything you need to know about how to for a local tv segment.
At the top of the episode, I share more about my new program, The Amplified Expert Academy, that begins October 5th. Don’t delay on submitting your application!

Then I will have separate episodes that will cover: how to pitch a podcast, how to pitch a publication, and how to pitch tv. Stay tuned for those over the next few weeks!

Hey hey, welcome to the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn and today’s episode is sharing an inside look into how me and my team brainstorm topics to pitch our clients to the media as expert sources.
SO...if you’re new here, hi! I’m Brittney and I run a boutique PR agency outside of Dallas, Texas.
I have a small but mighty team and we work with a variety of clients across industries representing them as their publicist.
What this means is we handle ALL of the media pitching and coordination. One of the biggest parts of our job is to come up with creative, unique story ideas and angles that we can pitch to the media in hopes for the media, whether it be a podcast, a publication, or a tv station, featuring our client as an expert for the story.
But...how the heck do we come up with fresh new ideas every single week?! Well I’ll walk you through exactly what we do in this episode.

Hey hey, welcome to the Human Connection podcast, I’m your host Brittney Lynn and today’s episode is all about PR strategies for introverts.

Whether you’re wanting to start pitching yourself for podcast interviews to help you grow your email list or have a course launch coming up, I’d love to help you strategize the best pitching options for you! You also receive 1 custom pitch template. Head to link listed below to sign up for a spot!
NOW….onto today’s episode...PR strategies for introverts!
I, too, am an introvert so please know that these tips are coming from someone who knows how you feel.
An introvert may feel uncomfortable at large networking events, feel totally drained after being at a party with a lot of people, you may not enjoy being put on the spot (your mind goes blank)...overall you prefer less social interaction and recharge your batteries by being alone.
You may be thinking that pitching yourself for media opportunities is only for extroverts. People that thrive on being surrounded by a lot of people, being the life of the party, but I’d beg to differ...introverts, especially during these times right now, can thrive off of being visible in ways that aren’t anxiety-inducing.

Hey hey, welcome to the Human Connection podcast! It is a brand new year and a brand new DECADE, how crazy is that?!
If you’re anything like me, coming back to work after some time off can be a bit of a struggle. I’m typically a very all or nothing person and it can be hard for me to go from reading and snuggling my pup all day every day to go full back into work mode.
I’m easing my way back into work mode and I hope you are too.
While I did take a lot of time off of working complete, I also did a lot of brainstorming and planning for what I want 2020 to look like. My business will probably look a lot different than it does a year from now (it always does!) and I can’t wait to roll out several new programs and offerings that I think you’ll enjoy.
One of those being...a 2020 Publicity Planning workshop!
This workshop will help you get crystal clear on how you can incorporate a PR strategy into your 2020 planning.
If you’re a service based or product based entrepreneur looking to:
Grow your email list
Increase qualified traffic to your website
Get in front of more of your target audience and
Earn extra revenue

Today’s interview is with Zoe Scharf, Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer at Greetabl. Greetabl is an online one-stop-shop for creatively-curated, personalized gifts and greetings.
Zoe and I talk about what Greetabl looked like when it was first getting started (what they envisioned for Greetabl to start is actually not what it is today!), how Greetabl uses direct feedback from their customers to help shape their company, the value of negative feedback from customers and how it shapes their product, and the importance of the language that you use in your marketing materials.
The holidays have arrived and if you’re looking for the perfect gift to send to your clients, I’d highly recommend using Greetabl!
