It was a big week for announcements for the Walt Disney Company as information was made public during the annual shareholders meeting in St. Louis. Join us for our discussion this week as we take a look at the exciting information that was announced.
After much anticipation, the opening dates for Galaxy's Edge in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World have been announced. Guests will be ab;e to experience Black Spire Outpost on May 31st in Disneyland and August 29th in Walt Disney World. Phase 1 will open with the Smuggler's Run attraction and Phase 2 will open later on in the year with Rise of the Resistance.
More details were also released for the Disney+ streaming service coming later this year. It has now been confirmed that the service will eventually feature the entire Walt Disney theatrical library shortly after the release of the streaming platform.
In Epcot news, construction permits have been filed for the demolition of Innoventions West. Although no date has been announced for the removal of the shops in the building, the current locations for Starbucks and Club Cool are in the plans for the demolition project.
