One of the much later road racing meetings on the calendar, The Macau Grand Prix has attracted some of the top stars from TT and elsewhere in recent years.

Two Island riders will fly the Manx flag there in 2024 - Marcus Simpson is making his debut whilst it's a second year at the meeting for Michael Evans

On 16 September it was announced that the 2024 DPM Manx Rally Championship has been declared 'null and void' after only three of the scheduled seven rounds took place.
This isn't the first time the championship has faced disruption either - in 2023 just one championship event was completed.

On Friday, September 8th, MotoGP announced the passing of Isle of Man resident Mike Trimby. The 74-year-old was the founder and Chief Executive of IRTA, part of the quartet, which, along with Dorna, the FIM and MSMA, control the Motorcycle World Championship Grand Prix series, now more commonly known as MotoGP. In March 2023, Mike was awarded the Royal Automobile Club's prestigious Torrens Trophy. At the time he spoke to Dave Moore about his honour in getting the award and his love of living in the Isle of Man.
